December 2015, Hetty's office.

'Owen, do you remember what we did around this time last year?' Hetty sweetly asked.

'Let's see, I came into work after everyone left, we talked, shared a drink, and that was it. Why?' Granger replied.

'Mmm. I remember something else.'

'Just out of curiosity, were you um, expecting me? Even if you really weren't?' Granger asked.

Slightly blushing. 'Maybe a bit. To tell the truth, I've been feeling a lot of things this past month, and I know of 1 way to express them.'

'Like?'

'Bend down, and you'll see.'

He did, and she kissed him!

'I've been wanting to do that for the past month. Can't really explain why, but well (chuckle). What do you think?'

Hetty asked, trying not to get flustered.

Then Granger did the unexpected and kissed her back!

'I've been wanting to do that since I woke up in the hospital and saw you at my side. You mind?'

'Not in the slightest! (chuckle).'

'You look so beautiful.'

'Oh stop! (chuckle). I might have to kiss you again if you keep buttering me up like that!' Hetty chuckled.

'You gave me 1 of the best Christmases I've ever had, and I'll always be grateful for that.' Hetty said. 'Though, can you please answer this one question?'

'Gladly.'

Smiling. 'How do you know when the perfect time to tell someone you love them is?'

Stunned. 'I uh. Hmm. That depends. It's usually when the moment is just right. Or when the setting is just perfect.' Then he looked at Hetty's adorable face again, that's when it hit him.

'Did you say that you love me?'

Chuckle. 'Indeed I did! I was thinking it'd take you at least a minute to realize it!'

To say that he wasn't shocked would've been a lie. But in 1 way, he was glad she said it. Because the truth was, he had been feeling the same way about her throughout most of the year!

'I'm not sure if you feel the same about me. But I won't pressure you into admitting it.' Hetty remarked.

'You don't need to. Because the truth is, I love you as well, and I have for several months. And I have 1 question to ask: Will you spend Christmas with me?' Granger replied.

'Absolutely!'
