Prologue
The breeze calmly whistled as neon and home lights flickered. Small whispers of various conversations swirled with emotions. Clacks of heels on the pavement and the skidding of wheels on the cement. Overall, the night was calm and peaceful, despite it being New York City.
If one took the ability to look up way past the bright lights to the top of Chrysler Building, they'd only see the silhouette of a man. But if a light were to shine down on him, it would show a man covered in what was essentially a red and blue onesie. But nobody was paying attention. This enabled him to silently communicate with a similarly dressed figure standing on top of the Empire State Building.
With a nod, the two hopped off of their respective buildings before silently swinging away to Queens. After 30 minutes, they swung up to their destination, where awaiting them was another similarly dressed figure.
Normally, all three of them wouldn't be seen together. On a normal night, it would be one of them patrolling, but on weekends and special occasions, you would see them patrolling together. If there was too much trouble or if one of them was in dire need of assistance, a special signal would be sent out.
Tonight was a Friday, and despite the fact that it was the start to the weekend, there was no suspicious activity or crime in need of their assistance. So, by about 12:00 am, these three were headed back to their separate homes.
