The team went back to search the scene. Percy was looking at the sword. "You got something?" asked Tony from behind. Percy snapped around and sighed. "No, but I could swear I saw that sword before," replied Percy standing up. "You're good?" asked Tony. "Yeah, I was just spaced out for second," replied Percy. "Good I didn't touch you then," commented Tony. Percy nodded and looked past Tony. "Am I just paranoid or is the guy behaving weird?" asked Percy. "Nope he is behaving suspicious," agreed Tony and walked to the spectators to confront the guy. Percy followed. "Percy Jackson, right?" asked the guy once Percy and Tony were near him. Percy narrowed his eyes. The guy rolled up his sleeve revealing a branding. "Yeah, what are you doing here?" asked Percy. "I had night watch, when a trio pretty drunk came here. They got confronted by someone but I didn't pay attention to them much as the one confronting him was a higher up of them. I thought he was just lecturing them but now," replied the guy. "What's your name?" asked Percy. "Dexter Lungster," answered Dexter. "Anything you can tell about the group?" asked Percy. "Two had mentioned they got their hands on expensive stuff that they got from their last trip. The fourth one was enraged because of something and let one go but kept the two bragging ones," replied Dexter. "Can you tell us something about the sword or the dagger?" asked Percy showing a photo of the weapons. Dexter looked at it. "Not sure, but I think Riley can help you more with them," answered Dexter. "Where can I find her?" asked Percy. "She is most likely in the gym. Work outs help her much with coping like many," answered Dexter. "Alright. Come to the NCIS later. We got to question you," instructed Percy. "Any number I should call before hand?" asked Dexter. "You got mine?" asked Percy back. Dexter shook his head. Percy held his hand out and Dexter handed over his phone. Percy quickly put in his number before giving it back. "Leave anything out and the others will hear about it. You still have 3 left," said Percy. "I wouldn't dare to leave anything out even if I am at Zero," responded Dexter. Percy nodded and headed to the gym.Tony just followed a bit stunned. "What's up with the branding?" asked Tony. "Same as the necklace," responded Percy. "You brand eachother?!" questioned Tony disturbed. "We didn't had any proper supervision," replied Percy shrugging.
Once in the gym Percy looked around and spotted a young woman with a branding. He went up to her. "Riley?" asked Percy. Riley snapped around to them. "Percy, right? What can I do for you?" asked Riley back. "Dexter send me. Said you could help us out with these two weapons," replied Percy while showing the two weapons on his phone. "Can I?" asked Riley motioning to the phone. Percy nodded and handed the phone over. Riley zoomed in on the weapons. "Those are relics. They were reported missing for a few years. Stolen from a memorial of a general in the east of Iran," stated Riley and handed the phone over. "Who was suspected to have stolen them?" asked Percy. "If I remember right then it was a side fraction of Taliban," answered Riley. Percy gave a strained smile. "How sure is it that it's true?" asked Percy. "80% since one sword is still missing," answered Riley. Percy nodded. "Di Immortals, Percy. Don't tell me that this has anything to do with your last mission," uttered Riley. "Keep quiet and see if you can find the second sword. Call once you find something," instructed Percy. "Of course, am I aloud to get a few others involved?" asked Riley. "Only someone you are trusting with your life and keeps their mouth shut about this. We got a mole," replied Percy quietly. Riley looked wide eyed at Percy. "How bad?" asked Riley. "Got my squad killed and someone of the squad that got send in to take our place," answered Percy. "Shist, alright. I might put Dexter and Chris in. We can cover more that way," responded Riley. Percy smiled a bit. "Great," commented Percy and gave his number to Riley. "Who is tho old guy by the way?" asked Riley pointing to Tony. "That's my senior agent. I recently got put on a team of the NCIS," replied Percy trying not to laugh at Tony's offended face. Riley laughed. "You are a cop now?" asked Riley amused. "It just happened, even if it's hard to believe," replied Percy. "It's a miracle you got into the army at all," commented Riley. Percy rolled his eyes.
Tony and Percy returned to the scene again. "How come they are talking to you like that?" asked Tony. "It's a long story," replied Percy. "You ever going to tell?" asked Tony. "No," answered Percy and went over to Gibbs to report to him. Gibbs looked a bit surprised while Percy explained everything that he got to know.
Later that day Dexter called Percy to let him know he was on his way to the NCIS. Percy let Gibbs know. "Who would the ones with that necklace or branding follow? A general or you?" asked Tony. "Why are you asking?" asked Percy back. "Just curious. Captain Kaluha said that a superior step down during a mission and called for you to take over," replied Tony. Percy sighed. "That was only because I had more experience than him. The leader had yet to be once on the battlefield and leading a troop. He wanted that all are going home again and knew I could take over along with making quick decisions on the field in order to guarantee the safety of the others," explained Percy. "And how did you learn that?" asked Bishop. Percy looked away for a second. "That doesn't matter," answered Percy. "You know for a team to work you got to trust each other and you don't make it easy," commented Tony. Percy scoffed. "All you need to know is that I will always try to have your backs should it come down to it. I won't just leave you for yourself," stated Percy. "What is really up with the necklace and the branding?" asked Tony. "They are important for us," explained Percy and began to fidget with his wedding ring. "But why? All you say it's important," asked Tony. "You don't need to know more about it," responded Percy. "Where did you learn to fight?" asked Bishop. "On the streets," replied Percy. "That is not something you learn on the streets," argued Tony. Percy just didn't react to him. "Come on Jackson. You got to tell us something about yourself. It's not easy to just trust you even more with what we found out through others," said Bishop. "I just don't like talking about my past. It's nothing I'm proud of. Even less on why the others trust me so much," replied Percy standing up and walking to the stairs. "Why are you avoiding the elevator as best as you can?" asked McGee. "PTSD. Lost a good friend in an accident with an elevator when I was younger," responded Percy before going down the stairs. The three agents were left stunned and concerned. Percy walked down to the entry of the building to wait for Dexter.
Gibbs walked into the office. "Where is Jackson?" asked Gibbs. "Taking a break, hadn't eaten much today" replied Tony to cover a bit for Percy. Gibbs nodded. "Anything new?" asked Gibbs. "No, we still are trying to find Galarg but he knows how to hide," answered Bishop. "Something about the second sword?" asked Gibbs. "No, they are still working on tracking it. They are going to the package list to see if one had a suspicious pack sent or taken home," replied Tony. "Abby is working on tracking down the last days of the marines," added McGee. "Boss, why did you put Jackson on the team?" asked Tony. "He is talented," replied Gibbs. "That's not all right?" asked Bishop. "That is true. I want to have a closer eye on him," answered Gibbs. "So that's the real reason you ignored protocol. Can't say I'm surprised about it," commented Percy coming to the office with Dexter following him. "You're not mad about it?" asked Bishop. "No, it explains everything tho. He probably was able to read my records of when I was a teen. It is however sealed which either means Agent Gibbs has a high security rang or has someone that was able to look it up," replied Percy. It was easily to tell that something changed in Percy now that he knew. "Dexter Lungster. I had night watch when something happened that might have to do with the case," said Dexter. "Bishop and McGee go and questioned him," instructed Gibbs. Dexter looked back at Percy for a second before following the two agents.
Percy leaned against his desk. "So what do you think about me in reality?" asked Percy starring at Gibbs. "A kid that got on the wrong path but got the curve before running to his death," replied Gibbs. "Wrong path huh? You're not believing all the charges I had?" asked Percy. "It's hard to believe a 16 year old is a war criminal," responded Gibbs. Percy huffed. "What if I tell you it's not that far off?" asked Percy lowering his gaze. "What do you mean?" asked Gibbs tensing slightly. "All of it was to stay alive. I was hunted by a group for my talents and my heritage. Without knowing it I was trained since I was little to right the wrong my father and his family did. Similar to those who were necklaces and brandings," answered Percy. "That's a joke right?" asked Tony. "I wish. It is also the reason I don't like to talk about my past," replied Percy. "Is it still going?" asked Gibbs. "To some extent. Our parents got quite a few enemies that try to take revenge with attacking us the children," replied Percy crossing his arms. "Why aren't any reports of it existing?" asked Gibbs. Percy looked up. "Missing cases, unsolved murders. People who lost their minds. Some of those are the results of us going to outsiders for help," replied Percy. "Why are you talking openly about it now?" asked Gibbs. "One hand washes the other. There is a reason I went to the marine corps and ended up here. Everyone is weary about agents because you tend to make it harder for us and preying where you shouldn't. I came here to make it easier on both sides," explained Percy holding eye contact with Gibbs. "What about the others in the corps?" asked Gibbs. "They are just working to get money doing what we are trained to," answered Percy. "How are we able to trust what you say?" asked Gibbs. "You have one of their leaders under you," answered Percy. Gibbs looked confused then it clicked. "You. That's why you have both the branding and the necklace," stated Gibbs. Percy shook his head. "The necklace belongs to one side, the branding to another one. Each has a different meaning," explained Percy. "What's are their meaning?" asked Gibbs. "That I can't tell. It's not something we are that happy to share," replied Percy. "Jackson, this is an order. Tell what the meaning of the branding and necklace is," ordered Gibbs with a glare. Percy smiled sadly. "No. It is a tradition. Their meaning is important as it tells us much about one. You can see it as a code for us," answered Percy still holding eye contact with Gibbs. Tony stared godsmacked at Percy. Gibbs took a few steps towards Percy, but Percy just held eye contact not backing down. "How do we know you are telling the truth?" asked Gibbs. "Ask the director of the mossad. We had a run in with them once and they held me and a few friends hostage despite our advice to let us go before the enemies of our family, who we were running from at the time, found us. He didn't listen and the mossad payed the prize for it," answered Percy confidently. "Who are you working for?" asked Gibbs. "I would like to say no one but I have to ultimately do what is expected from me by my father and his family," replied Percy. "What organization?" asked Gibbs. "None. We aren't an organization agent Gibbs. Just a bunch of people trying not to fall to our parents enemies," answered Percy. Gibbs left and went to the director. He came back looking at Percy with respect and concerned. "Why did you left out that you were only 17 when you got taken by the mossad after taking down 5 of the top trained?" asked Gibbs. Percy shrugged. "Forgot?" offered Percy. Tony just looked between Gibbs and Percy unable to comprehend what was happening at all. "What about the fact that you all were just teenagers?" asked Gibbs. "You didn't ask," replied Percy. Gibbs grabbed Percy collar. "I want to know all," demanded Gibbs. "I would let go of me before Dexter sees it. I can't guarantee that he won't see it as a threat to us and attacks you," advised Percy. "What are you hiding?" asked Gibbs not letting go. "Things you won't understand nor want to know," answered Percy. "Jackson last chance," stated Gibbs pushing Percy more into his desk. "I tell you again let go before something happens, we both want to avoid," responded Percy with a slight glare. Gibbs still did not let go of Percy. Percy held eye contact but recognized voices coming closer. "Last chance. Dexter may interpret this wrong," warned Percy.
Dexter came around the corner with Bishop and McGee. He froze for a second before charging at Gibbs. Every agent looked shocked. Percy caught Dexter fist. "It's fine," stated Percy. "I don't think so. He is clearly over stepping his authority," growled Dexter. "I said it's fine. Step down," repeated Percy. Dexter looked at Percy and reluctantly stepped back. "I had warned you Agent Gibbs. We are more loyal to each other than you think," stated Percy. "Tell what the necklace and branding is about," demanded Gibbs. "I won't as it doesn't matter to you. It won't help you in any way. I only got to the NCIS because it was requested that we send one here to work things easier. If it wasn't for us having it easier I wouldn't be here," responded Percy. "Gibbs, let him go," ordered the director standing on the stairs. Gibbs looked up. "What did you not tell me about him?" asked Gibbs. "He is here like Agent David was. The only difference is that he has a different background," replied the director before leaving again. Gibbs let go of Percy. "What did we miss?" asked McGee. "Jackson is an ambassador for some kind of group," answered Tony. "Like Ziva?" asked McGee. Tony nodded. "Isn't he to young for that?" asked Bishop. "Theoretically yes, practically no," answered Percy. "What are you planning on, Percy?" asked Dexter. "The director asked me to be a middle man. Make it easier on both sides," replied Percy. "Do the others know?" asked Dexter narrowing his eyes. "Of course they know. They would have my head besides my wife was with me when he proposed the idea," replied Percy. "How did you meet the director?" asked McGee. "We saved him, he saved us. More I'm not allowed to tell," answered Percy. "Saved you?" asked Dexter alarmed. "Meh, it was a real shitty timing," responded Percy. Dexter nodded.
