A/N: This is my first Titanic fic. I am wanting to try something new, so I am writing this. I am also excited for halloween.

Remember Me

Rose closed her eyes and cried. She felt herself getting lighter, she was just in the Carpathia. Now she is waiting for her husband in the waiting area. She lost Jack in the ocean and now she is with Cal forever. She might even kill herself now, her eyes were cold and felt wet.

She cried and cried. She dd not want to see Cal again, she just wanted to see Jack. Which was impossible, because he was dead. The word hit her in the gut like how a car hit a person.

"Hello Rose, how are you…?" That voice. It haunted her multiple times in the day, and it made her feel small. She did not want to deal with his crap any longer. She thought about running away.

Her eyes met the sight that was the Carpathia, it was still in the dock getting people off, Rose looked at watched for Jack. Suddenly flashbacks of the times she had with him came into her mind.

'I'll never forget you Jack, I'll never not remember you. Promise you will not forget me.' She thought as she looked into the stars.

She realized that she was alone the next day. Cal is still with her, but that is not enough. She does not want to deal with his shit anymore…All she wants is to grieve for Jack in peace.

Recently Cal has been annoying her a lot, he has been saying how Jack never loved her, and how he was stupid. But Rose never listened to what Cal said, she knew deep down that she wanted to be with Jack.

All her life she has wanted to be with him, she has just. Not found the right time yet, she suddenly walked into Cal's room on accident. Causing him to have a rage with her.

"Cal! I am so sorry! I did not mean to come in here, please don't hurt me!" Rose said as she was cowering underneath the table.

"You little coward. I do not want to deal with you."

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is, you are going away."

"Hu?"

"You no longer have permission to stay with me. I just don't want to hear your annoying crap anymore."

"I do not say anything annoying…"

"Fine, you are still leaving."

"I can't leave."

"Why not?"

"Because I have nowhere to go."

"Not my problem."

"I love you."

"You never loved me, not even on the Titanic did you love me."

"But…But."

"No buts."

"Fine, I'll leave."

Rose left and was struggling on the streets. She saw so many gang members, it disturbed her. How did these people become these anyway? She thought. She then saw a memorial, it looked like a titanic memorial.

She went close to it and cried, that was because she saw Jack's name. She touched it and heard a voice talking to her. "Rose. You'll be okay. You can go on without me, your heart can go on.' He told her.

"But I can't Jack." She said.

She kept on staring at the memorial, so she didn't look like a weirdo while talking to it. She didn't want to seem disrespectful as well. And she didn't want to get too upset. She knew Jack was stuck in that hole.

But she didn't know that his spirit was not, she wanted to get closure and she wanted to be alone.

She did not think she could go on without him. But she can, it just takes practice. She suddenly starts thinking about the memories.

I remember the time you and I were in first class together, that was really fun. When we both went to dinner. I think everyone was surprised at what you were wearing. They seemed to like it, I also remember when we were both sitting on the deck talking about your drawings, that was pretty fun as welL.

I remember almost everything about you Jack, your smile, your hair, and the way you laughed. It just makes me sad that you are gone. I do not want to deal witht his pain anymore. I am not going to die.

I am just going to remember the good times.

As you say.

Rose stopped thinking and realized that she was standing in front of a lot of people. She went away and started to walk all the way to Times Square, where she found a brick wall and sat on it.

She started to imagine if Jack was alive, and what they would be doing right now. She suddenly bumps into a girl who looks familiar.

"Are you alright miss?"

"No. My husband died in the Titanic, and I am trying to think about him."

"I am so sorry. Can I help?"

"Sure…"

"I have an apartment downtown, wanna come?"

"Can I stay?" She asked.

"Do you not have an apartment of your own?"

Rose shrugged, she didn't want to say her husband kicked her out because she just said her husband died on the Titanic. That would be too confusing, and it would make the lady suspicious.

She just followed the lady to her apartment. It looked small. It had a nice bedroom, with floral decorations, the living room was also floral, it reminded her of her stateroom on the Titanic.

She did not miss her mother though, she is happy that she died. Rose looked at the lady.

"I am glad I found you."

"Me too."

"Can I talk to you?"

"Of course."

"Do you know about the Titanic?"

"Yes, my brother was on it, he didn't make it though."

"That's not good. I am so sorry."

"It's okay. Did you go on it?"

"Yes."

"I bet it was scary."

"It was."

"Don't worry, you can cry on me."

"Thank you."

"Tell me a little bit about you."

"Hmmm….I have a big family, I live in New York now. I—that's all."

"What were you going to say?"

"Nothing."

"Oh. Ok."

"I am fine, I'm just tired."

"Well. If you are tired, I have a bed you can borrow."

"No thanks."

"Why not?"

"I do not like borrowing things from people."

"It would only be for a little while."

"No."

"Alright then."

"Yeah, sorry."

"Don't say sorry."

Rose smiled and laughed, this girl is so sweet. She reminds her of Jack, now Rose knows that Jack's spirit will go on…forever.
