A Bruja This Way Comes

Scene I

Josefina was impatiently sitting on the desk in the Command center, clapping her boots one against the other. "Donde estas prima?" she mumbled. She jumped of the table as she saw a shimmer of smoke erupt beside the desk. Out of a cloud of smoke, Mel appeared in front of Josefina. "Prima!" Josefina exclaimed in excitement.

"Sorry for being late. Crazy stuff at the Blue Camellia. Thought it would be easier to handle a club. Being a barista was definitely easier." Mel rambled.

"It's okay, Mel. Is everything okay? You seem plastered." Josefina said while searching for eye contact. "Yeah, yeah for sure. As said busy times." Mel responded.

"Are you sure? Not hearing much from the three of you lately. Any new dangers looming?" Josefina asked with a worried face. Mel stopped for a moment.

"You'd be the first one to know if something happens. I promise." Mel responded. "Come give your proud prima a hug".

Mel and Josefina embraced in a hug. Mel closed her eyes for a moment. A shift of energy happened in the Command center.

"Did you feel this?" Josefina asked Mel as she pulled out of the hug.

"Felt what?" Mel asked in return.

"It felt like something strange occurred," Josefina replied.

"Not sure what you mean. Back to more important topics, Kaela, Maggie, and I made you something." Mel said with excitement in her voice. She pulled a box out of her jacket and handed it to Josefina. Josefina smiled. She quickly opened the box and was mesmerized by the golden triquetra locket. Josefina teared up.

"We are so proud of you for getting that scholarship at Salem University. And we wanted for you to have something from us." Mel said with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Prima it's gorgeous. Thank you so much. Will you help me put it on?" Josefina said as she turned her back to Mel.

"Just remember. In mente sano, corpore sano." Mel said to Josefina as she connected the two ends of the necklace.

"Sane mind, sane body. Bit poetic don't you think Mel." Josefina said with a huge smile on her face.

"A bit of protection from the Charmed ones can't hurt," Mel said.

"Definitely," Josefina responded. Mel made a couple of steps to the side and set the Globe in the Command Center to an address in Salem.

"The Chen family will do us a favor and rent you a room in their Manor," Mel added as she set the coordinates. A portal opened behind their backs.

"I am going to live in a Manor. Aaaaa!" Josefina squealed as a grin emerged on her face with her fist clenched in excitement.

"The Chens are quite influential in Salem. Old friends of Mom, from way before. Are you ready?" Mel asked her elevated cousin.

"No. Definitely not. But we Reyes' women are born survivors." Josefina grabbed the marvel, hugged her cousin, and rushed with her luggage through the portal.

"Good luck, prima. You're gonna need it." Mel said as she disappeared out of the Command center.

Scene II

It was pouring like the Earth was begging for rain. Rei was sitting calmly in her chair, a grey T-Shirt, grey sweatpants, her long black hair put back into a firm ponytail, and black sunglasses. She was having her morning coffee and waiting for the new tenant. She was relieved someone had the guts to rent a room in Salem during these times. Despite her independence, she wouldn't be able to prevail on her own.

"She arrived." A voice mumbled to Rei's ear. Rei got up and opened the door before Josefina was able to knock on it. Josefina was shocked but she smiled it off. "Wow, you've seen me coming. I'm Josefina" she said with a major grin on her face and put her hand out for a handshake.

"I'm Rei. I assume you are expecting me to shake your hand, but I am blind. The ad said that." Rei expressed herself with a firm voice. The smile on Josefina's face vanished.

"Excuse me. My primas made the arrangement. They've known your parents." Josefina said as she tried to reduce the tension.

"She is too quirky" a voice once again whispered to Rei. Rei chuckled. She turned her back and started walking deeper into the hallway. "Don't stand there in the rain feel free to come on inside."

Josefina admired the beautiful house she was entering. A bit old-fashioned but beautiful regardless. The wooden steps and doors breathed peace and a warm welcome.

"You have a beautiful home, Rei. You live alone here?" Josefina asked.

"Yes, just as the ad said." Rei cut it short. "The whole upper floor belongs to you. I only have two rules for you. Don't barge into my floor unannounced. And the attic is a no-go. Is that okay?" Rei said with a mix of determination and aggression in her voice.

"I've got the whole floor to myself. That sounds amazing. I don't need much space but thank you." Josefina tried to defuse the tension in Rei's voice. "Don't worry, I won't be entering any room except my own. I'm going to settle in my room if that is, okay?"

"Surely," Rei responded.

Josefina grabbed her two suitcases and started walking up the stairs. She looked back down, as Rei was confidently moving through her downstairs floor. She admired her beauty and elegance. She was so young and simple, yet so powerful. Josefina snapped out of her daydream as she saw Rei turn around, she then kept moving upstairs to explore her new home. Rei looked in the direction of the stairs as the rambling in her ears continued. The voices overlapped annoying Rei more and more. "Shut up." She screamed internally. The voices went silent.

Scene III

Camilla was staring at the shiny purple globe in the middle of the huge room. She was twirling the ends of her fresh pressed blonde hair while watching the pixie-whitelighter hybrid do his thing. As usual, she was impatient. Sebastian was levitating beside the globe with his shiny hands charging the globe. "Done." Sebastian proclaimed.

"Finally. Why did it take so long? Are you out of practice or just high on your pixie dust? Camilla responded in a reprimanding meaner.

"Tell me you're underfucked, without telling me you're underfucked." Sebastian replied with a chuckle. The chuckle turned into a bigger laugh. Sebastian got caught in his own laughter and couldn't stop. Camilla was looking at the crazy mess in front of her, he seemed so benevolent. Wrapped in his crazy thoughts, but then she remembered his vicious side. The way he tortured witches and magical beings for the Council. Suddenly Sebastian's laughter stopped. "Someone's here." He mumbled as he orbed out of the room. Camilla just rolled her eyes.

Sebastian orbed into the entrance hall. The room was dark he couldn't see a thing. He sniffed. "Come out. Come out, wherever you are!" Sebastian yelled with excitement into the room as he got more and more into the hide-and-seek game. "Don't shoot." Stjepan's voice echoed from the darkness. "I'm here on behalf of the council." He proclaimed as he was coming out of the shadow.

As Sebastian looked closer to see who the intruder is, Camilla entered the entrance hall and the candles lit throughout the room. As the light blended Stjepan, he lost Sebastian out of his vision. A cold blade suddenly caressed Stjepan's neck and Sebastian appeared behind him. "Who are you? And why so handsome, stranger?" Sebastian said with a grin on his face.

Stjepan looked at Sebastian, smiled back, and disappeared. "What the fuck? Where did he go?" Sebastian said with a surprised look on his face while expecting feedback from Camilla.

"He is a freaking Warlock. They can make themselves invisible to anyone practicing western magic." Camilla proclaimed into the echoing room. Sebastian orbed to Camilla's side to strengthen their side, while Camilla was creating an icicle out of the water particles in the air.

"A waterkinetic witch. That is something I haven't seen before. Can we call a truss?" echoed through the Hall. "The council sent me," Stjepan added.

Camilla smashed the icicle to the floor. "Truss." She replied. Stjepan once again appeared a couple of feet in front of them. "I like him," Sebastian whispered in a teasing manner. Camilla just rolled her eyes again.

Scene IV

"Weird." Josefina thought to herself. Her cell wasn't working. She tried to get in touch with her mother and Mel. But it seemed like there was no mobile or internet connection in Salem at all. The town felt and seemed ghostly. The streets were empty, but Josefina thought it was the cause of the rain that just stopped pouring. Luckily, she already memorized how to get to the local magic shop from her new home. It was a 15 Minute walk and she was almost there. In the distance, she saw someone chatting and trading in front of the store. She expected something brighter she thought. "Where is the joy?" She thought to herself. She skimmed between the people and entered the shop. And it was majestic. Mesmerized by the smell of the herbs, her eyes lit up as she saw all the magical artifacts. She asked one of the workers where she can find black lavender candles and was directed into a distant part of the shop. As she was choosing which candle to buy, she noticed woman with corner of her eye. Josefina's internal radar went off, the woman was moving sneakily through the store. Covered with a scarf, Josefina wasn't able to get a good look at her. Josefina roomed through the store pretending to look at the things as she followed the girl. The girl stopped in front of a wooden casket. As the woman revealed the palm of her hand a Bernstein-colored crystal appeared. "A manifester." Josefina thought. She saw the woman's lips move and the crystal disappeared for a second and then reappeared. Josefina had to take action. She used her powers and wine gripped the woman's arm. Josefina approached.

"What are you doing?" Josefina asked determined. She then looked into the eyes of the woman, she was scared, with teary eyes.

"Are you insane?" she countered with a broken voice. "Who in their right mind uses western magic in Salem nowadays?"

Josefina was flabbergasted. Josefina revoked the vine that was holding the woman's arm. "Why wouldn't I use my magic? Josefina asked.

"It's 2025 and it isn't safe? Haven't you got the memo? Witches are being hunted here." The woman responded.

"Witches hunted? 2025? What are you talking about? And you are a witch too. I saw you manifest that crystal." Josefina said with a nervous tone in her voice.

"That wasn't magic you genius. That was conjuring, magician magic. Can we not do this here, the hunters will come."

Scene V

On the streets of Salem Josefina was walking behind Lapis who was rushing away from the magic store.

"If you slowed down, we could talk." An out of breath Josefina exhaled. "Or should I stop you with my magic?" Lapis turned around swiftly. "I'm Josefina by the way."

"Lapis, not happy that I've met you. What didn't you understand when I said they will send hunters." Lapis said with an angry face.

Josefina was starting to realize that Lapis wasn't kidding, she was truly afraid of Josefina using her magic again. "Come on, move. They'll send someone to trace your magic." Lapis added in a more peaceful tone.

"Okay, but how are you a magician? I've never met one before. Or is Sorceress the preferred term?" Josefina asked with curiosity.

"Neither. Not sure either. My mother was a witch but never showed signs of magician magic. I assume my father's bloodline carried the magician's magic and I never met him." Lapis responded. "My turn. What are you doing in Salem? And why are you using magic so carefree?"

"I was accepted to Salem University. My classes begin on Monday." Josefina responded. Confusion emerged on Lapis face. "Why such a face?" Josefina asked.

"Salem University was closed in the winter of 2023. After the Council took over the town." Lapis responded.

"What do you mean winter 2023? We have September 2023." Josefina said with worrisome in her voice.

"It's September 2025," Lapis said calmly. She took her phone out of her bag and activated the touch screen showing the date. 25th September 2025. Shock covered Josefina's face. Thoughts were scrambling through her mind. She took a seat on a nearby bench. Lapis took a seat by your side.

"Are you okay?" Lapis asked.

"Yeah, yeah. I think I am. It must have been Mel. She must have accidentally sent me to the future. My prima has the ability to move through time, she didn't master the power fully so this all must have been an accident. I just have to get back to Seattle and she'll take me back." Josefina explained to Lapis as she was taking deep breaths in between.

"Mel, as Mel Vera, the Charmed one?" Lapis asked. Josefina just nodded. "The Charmed ones are gone. No one has seen them after they faced off with the Council. They're presumed dead."

"No, that isn't possible. They are the most powerful witches alive." Josefina said with a tremor in her voice.

A sudden scream interrupted the moment between Josefina and Lapis. They followed the continuous screams to a nearby alley. Where they saw a hooded figure beating up a Wood Nymph to the ground.

"It's a Hunter, we need to run," Lapis said. Josefina just shook her head.

"Stop!" Josefina screamed. She shocked the Hunter. As the Hunter turned around, chills went down Josefina's spine. The Hunter was faceless. A scar-filled face, without eyes or lips. Josefina's eyes went green and she grabbed the Hunter's legs with vines and threw him against a wall. Lapis and Josefina ran to the Elf.

"Leave witches." Echoed through the minds of Lapis and Josefina. The Hunter telepathically talked to them. Lapis and Josefina looked to the Hunter lying a couple of feet away. He created an energy ball and threw it in their direction. With the energy ball about to hit them, Lapis conjured a shield and threw it against the energy ball destroying both in the process. Josefina used her powers again and strapped the Hunter to the wall.

Josefina ran to the strapped hunter and said "Aligatum est. We gotta run now. Don't know how long the spell will hold up." Josefina and Lapis grabbed the injured Nymph and started running away.

As the three of them were running away, Stjepan appeared out of nowhere. He approached the Hunter. The Hunter tilted his head.

"If you're trying to talk to me, don't. I am immune to the patchwork magic that gave you a voice." Stjepan dissolved Josefina's binding spell with the touch of his finger. He looked into the bland face in front of him, took a step away, and destroyed the body with a potion out of his pocket. "Sorry, collateral damage," Stjepan said and walked away.

Scene VI

Josefina was directing Lapis to the Chen Mansion. The yellow Van slash bedroom was speeding fast through the streets of Salem. Lapis stopped right in front of the Chen Mansion. She and Josefina exited and started carrying Elle through the small garden to the entrance. As they approached Rei opened the door. "Come in witches. To the attic, right away." Rei ordered.

Lapis and Josefina carried the Elf up the stairs and Rei followed closely. As they entered the attic, they put the Elf down on a couch on the side of the large room.

"She lost a lot of blood. She is weak. Do you have anything to help her?" Lapis addressed Rei.

"I can't help you. I never made a potion or cast a spell. I don't even have any ingredients here." Rei said while standing peacefully in the doorway.

"Rei is this your family's Book of Shadows?" Josefina asked while pointing to the book at the altar.

"I'm blind, remember? I don't know what you're referring to." Rei cut off Josefina.

"You could ask one of those ghosts that are following you," Josefina said as she approached the book.

"You know about the ghosts?" Rei replied with a crack in her voice as she approached the center of the room.

"I've done a purification spell when I arrived, it failed. And with your family being connected to my tia, I added two and two." Josefina said with a smile on her face.

"Can we cut on the ghost talk and help Elle?" Lapis interrupted the two bickerings. Josefina went to the Book of Shadows and started flipping through the pages.

"It would help if we knew what type of Demonio a Hunter is?" Josefina threw into the room frantically.

"Hunter's a former magical being sacrificed by the Council and loaded up with magic. Doubt there is anything in the book that can help us." Rei interfered.

"How do you know that?" Lapis asked.

"Ghosts love to gossip," Rei replied firmly.

"Maldita sea," Josefina said impatiently while clapping the Book together.

"Elle is a Wood Nymph. Maybe your chlorokinesis can help her regain her strength." Lapis said in a hopeful tone.

"And I can use the two of you to amplify my powers," Josefina added. "Bring Elle to the center of the room."

Lapis and Rei carefully moved Elle to the center of the attic. Josefina lit up three candles and opened the windows on both sides of the attic. Lapis created a salt circle around Elle and took a seat at Elle's head. The three witches connected with their hands and started chanting. Branches from the outside trees started emerging into the attic and circled around the witches. The branches started to bloom and pollen started exuding from them forming a cloud over Elle's body. Rei's grip started to fumble. "Just a bit more Rei. Just a bit more. We're almost done." Josefina reaffirmed Rei as she squeezed her hand tighter.

"I'm trying. But I was never handling this much power." Rei stuttered through.

As she completed the sentence the cloud of pollen entered Elle's body and released a surge of energy, knocking the witches on the floor and waking Elle up.

"Fuck. The Hunters will definitely feel this." Lapis added while laughing exhilarating.

Scene VII

Stjepan was walking through the Memorial Park on his own. He slowly approached a witch statue, took a letter out of his coat and put it in the hand of the statue. A gust of air emerged, engulfed the envelope and made it disappear.

-VIII-

"What are you doing Josefina? We need to run!" Lapis demanded. "They will arrive any moment."

"Not if you ask me," Josefina added.

"You're delusional. We did the good deed it's time to run. Salem is bad news." Lapis said.

"She is right," Rei added. Elle nodded as well. Josefina was swiftly positioning candles in the corners of the attic.

"There is enough space in my Van for the both of you. Grab some things and let's go."

"Wait!" Josefina loudly exhaled. "Just let's do this spell. My primas thought me. It protected them from the Perfecti."

"Your Primas?" Rei wondered.

"The Charmed ones," Josefina said proudly. "Repeat after me. This Light is a Shield, que nunca cedera, with it prohibo the Hunters. This Lights is a Shield, que nunca cedera, with it prohibo the Council. Repeat after me."

The witches started chanting together till every candle in the attic glowed up. "Candela incende." Josefina added, lighting up all the candles. "We're safe now." Josefina said with a smile. Rei and Lapis smiled as well.

Scene IX

Rihanna's SOS is blasting from the speakers of the enormous entrance hall of Camilla and Sebastian's mansion. Sebastian was orbing from side to side. Dancing around to the beats, he seemed to lose control as he was twirling through the mist of his own pixie dust. Camilla was observing Sebastian's crazy moves as she was scrolling through her phone. Suddenly a message popped up on Camilla's phone. "The Hunter failed. Get the Elf. NOW!" Camilla read. Rage covered Camilla's face. She composed a ball of water from the drops of water in the air and hit Sebastian with it. The blast sent him flying on the floor. A confused Sebastian looked up to Camilla on her throne. "We've got work to do!"

Scene X

Lapis was preparing tea in the kitchen, just a couple of meters away from the ground floor living room. She was able to check on Rei from there. She watched her sit calmly in the living room. The water boiled and Lapis poured it into the cup with tea bags. She carried the cups to the living room and placed them in front of Rei. She just then noticed Rei mumbling.

"Everything okay Rei?", Lapis asked.

"Yes, just some spirits not leaving me alone," Rei responded. Lapis was weirded out. The peaceful way Rei proclaimed her reality hurt Lapis. So young and going through so much, it's unfair Lapis thought to herself. She used her hands to guide Rei to her cup of tea. Rei didn't react to Lapis touch.

"It's a compromise. The ghosts tell me what is going on. They guide me so I don't need a cane or anyone's assistance. In return, I actually don't know what they are getting in return. But I guess the one thing the spirits have in common with me, is they hate to be lonely as well." Rei said with a smirk.

"I just think how terrifying it must be. Someone talking to you and you can't see or touch them." Lapis stuttered for a moment. "Sorry. I don't want to be rude or budge, we don't even know each other. I am just impressed by your strength."

"It has been two years since I live like this. I was seventeen when my parents died in a car crash, in the same crash that made me lose my sight and awakened these powers. A blessing and a curse. Two years is a long time to get used to something like this." Rei explained.

Lapis was still in shock over Rei's attitude. "Do you need something else? Can I get you something? I am sorry if I am intruding but I want to see if Josefina got Elle to safety."

"You're not intruding. Far from it. I am just happy that someone is actually here. With ghosts, I only hear their voices, can't really feel them." Rei grabbed Lapis hand. "It feels good to actually use my other senses." They both smiled. Lapis noticed she was blushing.

Scene XI

"We're finally here," Josefina whispered to Elle. With teary eyes Elle looked at Josefina, she wouldn't let go off her hand. "Everything is going to be fine. Trust me Elle. The moment you enter the woods they won't be able to track you."

"I'm still afraid Josefina. They've found me once. I fear they will track me and find my family." Elle responded.

"Don't let their terror control your vida. I'll do my best to end all their bad doings." Josefina proclaimed proudly. "Whoever is behind this will pay, trust me."

Elle put the magical candle on the ground and engaged in a hug with Josefina. Her grip was firm, yet fearful. Elle wouldn't let go off her bright and shining hero. Eventually, Josefina pulled out of the hug. She looked into Elle's teary eyes reassuring her everything will be fine. Elle gave Josefina a gentle kiss on the cheek, took the candle of the ground, and shimmered into the darkness of the woods. A little blush emerged on Josefina's cheeks. She took a deep breath and started walking towards the road. Suddenly, Josefina felt an energy change around her. She turned around to see Camilla and Sebastian standing behind her.

"Where do you think you are going?" Sebastian yelled.

"None of your business Bendejo." Josefina answered. She slowly scanned the location she was at. Two against one wasn't really going to her favor.

"Someone seems to have a death wish it seems," Sebastian said with a growing grin on his face.

Camilla didn't speak, she observed. She knew only powerful witches could match up with their hunters and she wouldn't want to lose any advantage she has.

"We only want the Nymph. Tell us where she went off and no one has to get hurt." Camilla proclaimed demandingly. "We've got better things to do."

"I have to disappoint you. She's gone and you won't ever find her. Not while protected by a Charmed spell." Josefina told with a smile on her face

Camilla was slowly getting impatient. She started moving towards Josefina, Sebastian was just a small step behind her. "I won't ask nicely again."

"I had a rough day Rubia. Trust me you don't want to go up against me." Josefina replied.

"What the fuck are we waiting for Camilla, if you don't go first let me," Sebastian yelled hysterically.

Camilla turned to Sebastian and looked at him with her piercing blue eyes. He calmed down, and refocused, while Camilla tipped her head back to Josefina and directed her fist towards Josefina clenching it. Suddenly, Josefina felt sick. Her stomach started hurting, the pain made her drop to her knees. A heat started brewing inside her and she thought she would barf. She then expulsed a vapor of hot air from her mouth. The pain was crushing her. The heated air was burning her throat and mouth.

"Did you have enough witch?" Camilla victoriously asked. Josefina looked at Camilla in pain. She tried to compose herself but the pain was just too much to show any strength. As she closed her eyes, she felt Sebastian's presence next to her side. He blew purple dust into her face, creating a foggy cloud around Josefina's head. She tried her best to not inhale it but her body was too weak. As she inhaled it, everything around her became fuzzy. Her racing heart was trying to jump out of her chest.

"That should teach that bitch a lesson.", Sebastian said.

"I hope your toxic pixie dust won't kill her before she tells us where the Nymph is?" Camilla added annoyed by the time she'd wasted on Josefina.

Pictures of death, blood, and destruction were cruising through Josefina's mind. She saw the World falling to the ground and her loved ones dying one by one. As she saw her primas in her vision. She remembered Mel's words. Josefina closed her eyes and tried to regain control of her hurting body. She grabbed the Triquetra pendant around her neck and started repeating the spell Mel thought her. "In mente sano, corpore sano. In mente sano, corpore sano." A ray of energy surrounded Josefina accumulating in the pendant. Camilla and Sebastian shocked by what was happening took a step back. Josefina got herself up from the ground, she then activated her powers, extending surrounding tree branches and tripping Camilla and Sebastian with them. They hit the ground fast and hard.

"Did you think it was this easy to defeat the cousin of the Charmed ones?" Josefina proclaimed proudly. "Did you have enough or are you up for round two?"

Camilla and Sebastian got themselves up from the ground. Anger was written all over their faces. Camilla tried her old trick again, Josefina's pendant glowed up, and Camilla's powers didn't work on her.

"You didn't think I would fall for your parlor trick twice in a now," Josefina said with a smile on her face.

"Get her Sebastian!" Camilla yelled as she threw a bottle of water toward Josefina. Sebastian orbed out, as Camilla once again clenched her fist breaking the water out of the glass and turning it into an icicle. As the icicle approached Josefina, Sebastian reappeared grabbing the icicle mid-air and disappearing again. In a blink of an eye, Josefina felt the cold edge of the icicle on one side of her throat and Sebastian's warm breath on the other.

"Tick tock the witch is gone." Sebastian whispered. "And don't even try to use your plants to free yourself, you will be dead before you try."

"Are you sure Bendejo?" Josefina countered.

"Finish her off Sebastian. We'll find the Nymph on our own." Camilla added from afar. Camilla turned her back and started moving away.

Josefina's eyes turned green and a huge root emerged from beneath separating herself and Sebastian. As he charged towards her an extended tree branch grabbed Sebastian throwing him against a tree and knocking him out in the process. The loud commotion made Camilla turn around. She witnessed Josefina's victory over Sebastian.

"Who is now finished Rubia?" Josefina said as she started moving towards Camilla.

"You really thought you won." Camilla replied. "You think you're the only one with Charmed blood in this battle. You're facing Camilla Nefiara Lord, the daughter of Hazel Lord. I will be the last one standing in this battle."

Josefina was shocked, she stopped moving. A Charmed legacy corrupted? Evil? She took a deep look into Camilla's eyes. "What are you staring at bitch? Let's finish this." Camilla said with a wicked smirk on her face.

She loved the challenge. Josefina was holding up longer than any other witch or creature she faced recently but failure wasn't an option for Camilla. As she clenched her fist, water particles started gathering around her creating a ball of water. "It's endgame, time."

A ray of water started charging toward Josefina. Her eyes turned green and wall of leaves started accumulating from the surrounding trees. Camilla and Josefina gave all their energy into it resulting in an energy blast knocking them both off their feet, and leaving them both unconscious.

Josefina's body was aching. It even hurt to open her eyes. But the rush of adrenaline made her stand up quickly scanning her surroundings. She saw Camilla still on the ground and started running.

Scene XII

Lapis was watching over a still shaken-up Rei. With Rei's head in her lap, Lapis was thinking about this broken soul. She felt the torture her body was experiencing. Suddenly, Rei started opening her eyes. "She is coming", Rei mumbled with a still foggy mind. The Manor's door opened and Josefina rushed through to the living room. The commotion woke Rei completely up. As they saw Josefina, Lapis and Rei stood up and embraced in a hug.

"Is everything okay? What happened? Did you get Elle to safety?" Lapis asked.

"Elle is safe, she got away but I encountered some dangerous creatures along the way, but I prevailed.", Josefina answered with a smirk. The three of them sighed with relief when a knock on the window pulled them out of it.

"What was that?" Rei asked. "The ghosts don't see it." She added.

"A crow. It is a crow." Lapis said. The crow knocked repeatedly on the window. Josefina approached the window and tried opening it. "What are you doing?" Lapis said with annoyance in her voice.

"Someone sent this crow and we need to know who sent it here, who knows that we are here.", Josefina replied with confidence. The Crow entered the living room and settled on the fireplace. The crow then opened her mouth.

"Querida Prima. . ." Josefina was stunned to hear Mel's voice coming out of the crow.

"Who is that?" Rei asked, Josefina quickly shushed her.

"It's my prima, one of the Charmed ones." Josefina whispered.

The Crow continued, "I am truly sorry for sending you to the future without any warning. But for the future to unfold the way we needed it to you couldn't enter this journey with a warning. Even today's events needed to happen as they did. A couple of weeks ago apocalyptic visions started tormenting Maggie. An evil like we've never faced before would start plaguing the World. Our every attempt to prevent the evil from unleashing failed. It was even coming for you. Luckily to Maggie's visions, we decided to prevent your death and give the world a fighting chance by sending you to the future. We know this is selfish but this evil was in a making way before there was Charmed magic in the world and to defeat it, you'll need something more than Charmed magic. I know we'll leave you with too many questions at this moment but we are interfering with a fixed point and you know how dangerous that is. Just know that you, Rei, and Lapis are crucial ingredients in defeating this evil. And for that to happen you need to become sisters, just like Maggie, Kaela, and I. You're better together, your differences will be your strengths and nothing will be stronger than the sisterhood you build. Blessed be, prima. With love. . . Maggie, Kaela, and Mel."

As the message ended the crow lit up and dissolved into light. With a tear in her eye, Josefina crumbled to her knees.
