This is one of my first stories so please bare with me if it's terrible and if it's not to much of a trouble it would be great to get some pointers
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Naruto
If you want a reason for why rating it genre would change its because I'm new to this and this story wasn't really though out
Story Summary: On the day of the Kyubi incident something happened, something entirely unexpected that changes things forever... what happens in the world where Naruto was never cheerful, was never and idiot, nor did he CARE about the people attention for they would never notice him...
Chapter Summary: people find the blonde boy to be Apathetic and that there is nothing that he enjoys but... is that true?
Prologue: ¿Apathetic?
a small drenched redheaded boy sat in a ramen stall staring at a bowl of ramen in confusion "Why?" His voice was oddly high pitched and it sounded as though he had to force it out
The man in front of him looked worried but smiled "don't worry about it for now, just eat alright?" The boy looked up and then back down at his bowl, he took a sniff then dubbed it 'safe'
He began eating and when he started he couldn't stop, his eyes widened a spark flickering appearing for the first time since he was two
When he finished the bowl he smiled softly and a bit oddly as if he wasn't used to it, the boy looked up at the older man
The man simply smiled "feel free to come anytime" the boy nodded "I… should... g-go" he gulped "wait a minute" the old man went somewhere and came out with two relatively small boxes and handed them to the boy
"Here just cook some water, pour it into one of the cups and wait three minutes, then you'll have some Ramen you can eat" the boys eyes flickered again before they were gone "Thank you" the boy had to force it out
"It's really not a problem though it would be a good idea to get home soon" the man suggested while the boy nodded
The boy looked over his books again and then checked his notes on the top left corner said 'write name' and on the line it said 'Naruto'
The boy blinked at his name and took the pencil and an eraser then re-wrote his name, after that he looked back to the notes
And re-read it again and again one more time before he decided that it was enough, the boy got tired of the written words and his messy writing
So he pointed his pen at the paper for a second and was going to start writing again but then one of the Ramen cups caught his attention and before he knew it he had gotten another page and started to sketch
A rough sketch of the cup was finished quite quickly the boys mind didn't feel as chaotic anymore, he blinked and opened his mouth before closing it again
He got another paper and looked around he saw a potted plant and decided that he would draw it, it was not a master piece nor was it really good but it was relaxing
The boys eyes sparked then flickered... he smiled It didn't last long but it was there before his apathetic face came back
There was once an old man whom Naruto believed was important due to the reverence and awed looks that he gets, it always confused him as to why the man would visit him and teach him how to read and write
The boy at first felt nothing for the art of reading but as time passed he grew to hate it and after the old man stopped coming he stopped reading
Within months the boy started to miss the kind old man and in the end picked up a book and started to read, that was when he found to enjoy reading about certain topics
That there weren't only those odd, illogical stories called Fairytales but rather more logical stuff, now don't get him wrong he likes fiction but it's just something about fairytales that he dislikes
He had also found a 'Cookbook' which was nice, luckily the villagers would give him his items as long as he remained as quiet as possible... actually it was as though they couldn't see him for most of the time when he looked back he saw the stall owners looking a bit shocked
He had started to like history mostly on Shinobi, it was that day that he decided to become a shinobi
Perhaps he could utilize his weird skill of not being seen there
he had once found a book on weapons and how to handle and care for one, it was that that led to his love for weapons
One day he found a weapons shop and decided to go in he spotted several things that he would like to maybe have
It never truly sparked his interest until he saw a spear, it looked different from the ones he'd seen before it's end had a design similar but not quite like the tri-point kunai the fourth had
It was blue and silver in color, another that caught his attention were two daggers
Yes he would quite like these weapons and perhaps one day he'd train In using one
His eyes sparked and flickered again before going back to his impassive look from before suddenly a person bumped into him and the both of them fell
"I-Sorry!"
"If I may ask why are you here and where are your parents" the girl who bumped into him asked "Orphan and I like... weapons... though I don't... know much" He still had problems with speaking due to never really speaking to anyone
"Well I'm Tenten it's nice to meet you, and if you want to we can talk about weapons together, I like them as well!" The girl Tenten said enthusiastically
Narutos eyes widened he had never heard anyone speak to him with that kind of tone "that- that would be nice" he smiled sparks flickering once more
When he though back to the old man he would sometimes see him drink something he called 'tea' Naruto would like to try it
He asked his new friend about it and she told him, though she was a bit freaked out when he said he didn't know what is was
"I don't really like it..." Tenten had confessed not to long into their conversation "but! Maybe you will" the little girl a year or so older then him swung her feet
"Mhm" Naruto replied he tried to talk more but would often have problems so he decided to take it bit by bit
"If you want to I can get you some, oh! Maybe you'd like milk tea!" She walked over but paused "so tea or milk tea" Naruto turned his head to the side thinking "Milk tea" he muttered
The girl got it for him he, didn't understand why she would do that
But he liked the drink a lot it actually helped much in the weird uncomfortable feeling he has had in his throat for a while
And it tasted pretty nice, in the end he got a sort of addiction
He had heard that most all Jonnin had some 'Quirk' about them, perhaps this could be his
