Chapter 1: Two Years Ago

It's been two years. Two years since that tragic incident. Two years since part of me died. You must be wondering what I am talking about. Well, I'm about to tell you a sad story that happened two years ago today. So make sure you have a box of tissues near you. The story starts out like any normal story would. Happy. Well enough talking. Here's the story.

Two Years Ago:

Chase and I just got back from our one month honeymoon. Wow we have already been married for one month. Woah time flies. Anyway like I said we just got back from our honeymoon and we have just received a plethra of 'welcome backs' and we missed yous'. Not that I am ungrateful for that. In fact the opposite. I am glad we have many people who love and care about us. Anyway while Chase was unloading our stuff and putting them in our room, I walked in the Lookout when Katie saw me.

"Hey girl. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Cause you seem to be walking weirdly."

"Well I have been sick these past few days but I just figured it was the traveling."

"Could be but let me give you a checkup just to be sure." She said picking me up.

"Okay." I said as she carried me into the medical room. When we got in the room she laid me down on one of the beds and began the examination.

"So tell me how its been."

"Well it started a few days ago. I woke up one day and I didn't feel well so we just figured it was from the driving."

"Okay I think I know what it is but let me go grab something. Be right back." She said as she left the room and came right back with a machine.

"What's that?" I asked.

"This will help me see if my guess is correct. Okay this may feel cold at first." Katie said as she put gel on my stomach. Although it was cold it felt nice. After she put it on me she looked at the screen so I did to. When I looked, I saw a black circle on it.

"What is that. Is it bad?" I asked her. But all she did was turn towards me and smiled.

"I have good news and great news."

"What's the good news?"

"I figured out has caused you to not feel well."

"Okay. Then what is it?"

"That's the great news. It's because you're pregnant."

"Really?!"

"Yes. You are a week and a half so you won't find out how many you're having for another couple of weeks."

"Okay thanks Katie."

"Of course." She said as she set me back on the ground. After she did that I walked out of the medical room heading towards mine and Chase's new room. As I was walking I was in too deep of thought thinking how wonderful mine and Chase's life would be with our pups. Of course I was too busy thinking that I wasn't watching where I was going. As I was thinking I accidentally bumped into someone.

"I am so sorry." I said as I looked up and saw Chase standing there holding one of my shoulders. "Oh hey Chase."

"Hi honey. Whatcha doing?"

"Nothing much. I just came back from talking with Katie and I was just about to head to our room."

"Okay."

"Oh and while we are on the topic of Katie, she found out why I have been sick and it's not from traveling." I said getting more and more excited as the moments pass.

"What is it?" He asked sensing my excitement.

"I found out that we are going to be parents." I said excitedly as I saw his face which was priceless.

"Really!?"

"Yes."

"This is the best way to celebrate our return." He said as he picked me up and I giggled as he pulled me in for a kiss which I gladly returned back. But we were then interrupted by Chase's puptag.

"Hey Chase it's me, Ryder." Ryder said as we broke apart.

"Yeah Ryder."

"Hey, Officer Jack just called me and said that he needs you there as fast as you can."

"Okay, thanks Ryder. I'll be there as soon as possible." Chase said as he hung up the call. "Sorry Skye. I gotta go. We'll talk more about this when I get back."

"That's okay. Go help Jack." I said.

"Okay. Bye honey. Love you." He said giving me a quick kiss then ran out.

"Love you to." I said thinking it was just a patrol duty and that he would be safe. But boy was I terribly wrong.

Hey everyone! I'm back and with a new story. Sorry for being what's the phrase? Missing in action I guess you can say. Anyway for those who are wondering I am going to be finishing my first series with one more installment in that and will answer everything. Right now I'm publishing this one that I have been writing for a while now. Two three years? Who knows. Anyway this is the first chapter. Now the interesting part in this is that I have the first couple of chapters written, the ending of this one, and most of the sequel. So it may take me a little while to get the full story written but I promise I won't make you wait a couple years for the story to be finished. Hehe. Hey life just got very hectic and busy for me and since this is my senior year my schedules are crazy. Also just as a side note most of the time I was writing this, my cat was snuggled up against me being so cute and encouraging me to keep writing. Anyway I'll let you guys go. Thank you for reading.
