Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Sonic. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Sonic; Sega and a few others do.
Tikal was an outcast among her people. It was clear over and over again that she had such measures against the violence that it had honestly bothered her.
She looked at the alter where Master Emerald had stood and it was clear more than anything someone else was here. Tikal watched the small little teardrop-shaped Chao buzz around it and she knew they were to call the emerald home. It was pretty and sweet of them yet it had been bothering them and constantly trying to do something odd. The emeralds didn't react to others commonly, possibly because of the fairy tale which told her the emeralds were living enough to know what someone intended to do with them and prevented.
Her, however? Well, they seemed to have some sort of connection with her which bothered him to the end of days. It was clear more and more problems weren't to be over anytime soon. It was odd and odder still nobody else seemed to notice it from happening.
One of the small creatures slowly floated towards her, reminding her that it was as pure and willing to have helped for now. it wasn't going to have hurt a fly without a good reason and they'd have known that if they paid any attention… But her people didn't, power was all that seemed to matter to them which bothered the young girl.
She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice one of the Chao had landed on her head, playfully and lightly started to pull on her dreadlocks. She turned to it, all too confused and flabbergasted as to how it'd have been able to distract her.
"What are you doing? Hmm?" Tikal asked as she removed the small creature from her dreadlocks and then slowly lowered it to the ground, curious as to its actions. "Are you ok? You could have gotten yourself hurt." Tikal stated before she sighed.
The Chao was carried back to the altar. She paid no heed to the other Chao who had been playing around the emeralds, they didn't harm anyone so it was clear to her they'd have no real problems being here… Yet to her people? It was clear beyond a shadow of a doubt these problems weren't going to be handled properly.
It wasn't going to have been properly focused upon when it comes down to it. They had a lot more of a problem to handle for now. it wasn't going to have been a problem at all if they were at all honest.
They weren't, her people had customs of power from years ago, long-dead customs which hadn't at all seemed to have to focus on helping their people. Years of being a warrior would make them strong, but it would also stymie their future, and strangle their heritage when all of it was said and done. Tikal wasn't going to be one of the warriors within their species nor would she have allowed it to spread anywhere.
It wasn't to be easy nor would it have been something her people would need to care about… Why would they when they ruled most of the land? Why would they try and be something else besides the conquerors who had proven to take over the rest of the land before she hummed to herself?
Tikal seemed to question what to do next before the Chao leaped towards her, attaching itself to her head with an interest to which she could only laugh and roll her eyes. She didn't try to pry the small creature off her head again, knowing it was far too chaotic to try and do such a thing. It was simply part of life for her.
She heard cries and turned to see the other Chao in the group all looking at her with pleading eyes. She rolled her eyes and slowly allowed them to clamber onto her. She had begun questioning what had riled the Chao up to this degree.
It was very rare to get any degree of energy from them to this degree and stage at the moment.
It was then she noticed one of them looked far different from another. It was as this happened, she noticed that one of them was odd… And it'd not be the first one of its kind for now.
