"Oh Matty." Ronnie pulled a face as he looked at the scene beyond the flickering police tape. He looked up the sky before turning his attention back to the half naked man on the roof of the car. Matt turned a shade of green he wasn't sure was completely natural.
"Sam and Joe are up there with SOCO now. Humpty Dumpty, ere ad to have fallen what? 20 stories?"
"Dunno." Matt avoided looking at the corpse.
"Well, that's the question innit son? Did he jump?"
"Or was he pushed?" Matt finished the question as Angie joined them.
"Alright Ang?"
She nodded. "You know who he is? " Both men looked directly at her frowning as if she was talking an alien language. Angie sighed.
"We arrested his dad a few years ago. I checked. He's still inside." She bit her lip as Ronnie looked the dead man in the face. He ran a hand over his face as he realised who he was looking at.
"No way."
"That's Steven Morris." She sighed.
"His Dad still inside? You sure?" Matt paused, remembering the damage the older man had done years earlier. A hand reaching to his chest subconsciously as he felt the scars below his cotton shirt. "You're certain?"
"As I can be." Angie bit her lip as Joe and Natalie approached them with Sam trailing behind. The Guv watched her team for a moment, remembering how much they'd been through, especially Matt Devlin she wondered just how much more they could take.
