Preface: Hello, everyone! Here we are - another Bluey fanfic! This one is sort of an expansion of a few scenarios I briefly touched upon in my last Bluey fanfic, Blue Dreams. Hope you enjoy!

Prologue:
Waiting

The young blue heeler sat on the porch of her school with some of her friends. The school day had ended, and the weekend was about to begin, as soon as her dad came to pick her up. But not all of her friends would be here to spend the weekend with her.

"What's the first thing you're going to do when you get to…" Bluey paused, still unsure how to pronounce the name of the islands Chloe and Indy were going to. "Ha-wa-ii?"

The dalmatian thought for a moment. "Hmm…I dunno," Chloe said, shrugging. "I don't know so much about Hawaii."

"Mum says it's even more beautiful than Disney movies make it look like," said Indy. She looked up to the sky and started daydreaming. "There's so much I want to do…that game with the stick and ball, that funny dance where you wear grass…" She paused for a moment. "Sorry again you couldn't come, Bluey," she suddenly added.

"That's alright," said Bluey. "I never cared much for Hawaii, anyway."

A red kelpie ran to join them on the porch. "Hi, Indy!" Rusty said, cheerfully. "I hope you have fun in Hawaii!"

Indy smiled and wagged her tail. "Thanks, Rusty." Just then, a car pulled up and beeped its horn. "Oh, my mum's here to take us to the airport!"

Chloe and Indy stood up and gave Bluey and Rusty, respectively, one last hug and kiss goodbye. "Have fun!" said Bluey, waving goodbye as her best friends ran to the car. As soon as it pulled out, however, she hmphed.

"What's wrong, Bluey?" Rusty asked. "Are you jealous?"

"A little…" said Bluey, nodding her head. "How do you feel?"

Rusty thought. "Mmm…maybe a little jealous, too." He rubbed his arm. Then he got an idea. "Oh! How about we go to the beach tomorrow?"

That made Bluey smile. "Yeah! We'll just have to have a fun beach day without them!" The two high-fived and nodded, confident that they'd still be able to have a good time at the beach without Bluey's best friend and Rusty's sweetheart.

Postface: And we're off. This story will split the focus between Indy and Chloe in Hawaii, and Bluey and Rusty back in Brisbane. Please read, review, and share around, and I'll see you all next time for Indy and Chloe's first day! Stay diamond, everyone!
