Hector stared at the ceiling of his bedroom at his new apartment thinking how could get any better. He smiled as he thought about the woman on his side. He looked over at Roxanne, who was sleeping on her back. She was done with Hogwarts and he could see her everyday now. She might even move in with him here. He loved this woman and couldn't see his life without her. He could see her walking down the aisle on her father's arm towards him with all their family around. He could also see her growing with their child. She would be a great mother to any child.
Roxanne stirred and he knew that she was waking up. He kissed her shoulder blade. "Good morning, beautiful," He trailed kisses down her back, stopping just before the edge of the blanket.
"Good morning," Roxanne turned towards him and smiled. She reached over and kissed him. She ran a leg over his. Hector moaned; he knew what she wanted.
"We don't have much time. We have to be at your parents for breakfast in an hour," Hector didn't know how he got that out when Roxanne kissed his neck.
"We have plenty of time," She whispered in his ear. Hector growled and pulled Roxanne under him. He saw Roxanne's smile melt away as he entered her. Soon her legs were wrapped around him and she was short of breath. Hector felt her come and he came soon after her. He fell on top of her.
"You're late," Angelina Weasley told her daughter. Roxanne smiled at her mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Sorry, Mum, we overslept," Roxanne greeted her father and brother, Fred. Fred's girlfriend, Liz threw her look like she knew why she was late. Roxanne didn't look at her as she took her seat.
"You got something in the post," Angelina handed her a letter.
Roxanne looked at the envelope, saw seal, and took a breath as she opened it. It was a letter from the Magical Children Hospital in New York. It would tell her if she made it in or not. Everyone was watching her as she opened the letter. She read it out loud.
"Miss Roxanne Weasley,
We are please to inform you that you have been accepted in our training program."
There were other things like when to be in New York and how to respond to the letter to confirm that she will be there. Roxanne screamed and looked at everyone in the room. "I made it in," She jumped up and hugged everyone. "I have to be in New York at the beginning of August. There is so much I must do before I leave. I'll have to find a place to live, it is a good thing that they pay for my training. I'm going to live in New York," She ran from the room to write them back and write to Lucy, her cousin and best friend.
Hector stood, he smiled at Angelina. "Thank you for having me over for breakfast. I must get to work. Tell Roxanne I will see her later," Hector headed for the door before he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Fred.
"I'll walk you out," He said. Hector nodded. They went downstairs to the shop that was still closed. "You are upset that she is leaving," It was a statement not a question.
"Yeah, I knew that she got into the St. Mungo's training program and thought that she would accept that, but now she is leaving. I don't know if I can do more of the long-distance relationship. In Hogwarts, it was fine because we had Hogsmeade visits and holidays, but her being in New York is going to be different. I don't know when I will see her or when she would see me. I don't want to hurt your sister, but it might be for the best that break up." Hector looked away from Fred.
"Hey, I understand. You need to do what is best for you and her and maybe breaking up is best for both of you," Fred had hoped that Hector would be his future brother-in-law, but things were changing. "I wish you luck." Hector nodded and left the shop.
"Hector, are you listening to me?" Roxanne asked her boyfriend. Something has been off with him since she got her letter from New York.
They were having dinner at a café in the ally. Hector looked at Roxanne and took a breath. "I love you and only what the best for you. I think in New York you will find that. The thing is my life is here in London," Tears came to Roxanne's eyes. She knew what was coming. "I think it would be better for both of us if we break up."
Roxanne nodded. She knew that he was right, but she wanted to hold on to for a little bit longer. She reached for his hand. "I will always love you, Hector but you are right."
They got through the rest of dinner and Hector walked her home. She would normally go to his flat and spend the rest of the evening with him. She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodbye, Hector," Hector nodded.
Roxanne took a breath and went in her house. Hector stood there for a minute or two before walking away from Roxanne. Roxanne watched him until she couldn't see him anymore. Her parents were sitting on the couch in the sitting room. She gave them a smile before running to her room. She fell on her bed and started to cry.
