Betrayed.
Amaryllis has been betrayed by the very people she saved. When she found out at Gringotts that Tom Riddle was her soulmate, she was devastated, but she kept quiet, and mourned in secret for the loss of her other half.
Things only got worse when she wouldn't do what the ministry, or the Wesley's wanted her to do such as going to public events, becoming the face of the ministry, donating outlandish amounts of money to useless causes, marrying Ronald Weasley, and signing over all of her wealth to the family who took her in. It was things like that, that made her start to distance herself from everyone.
Of course they were offended, and started to cause a huge uproar about the woman-who-conquered isolating herself from people who just wanted to help. Do you know what they did instead of just leaving her alone? They falsely accused her of being a dark lady, so here she was standing in front of the entire Wizengamot, awaiting to hear what her fate shall be.
"Lady Potter-Black-Peverell, you have been found guilty of all charges set against you. Your punishment shall be death by the veil, any last words?" Minister Kingsley asked.
"I only have one thing to say since I won't waste the last few breaths of life I have on backstabbing tyrants. The money and titles you've been after Ron will never be yours. As a last act of revenge I have made it impossible for you to collect my fortune. That false will has officially been replaced by my legitimate one, and the only person who will get my fortune is my godson Teddy. Please take care of him, Andromeda, and tell him I love him. I saved all of your asses, and this is how you repay me? I curse all of you," Amaryllis proclaimed.
"What do you mean I can't collect your fortune? You wrote Hermione and I into your will? I saw you sign it myself?" Ronald shouted in outrage.
"Exactly what I said, you'll never get your hands on it - the goblins won't allow you," Amaryllis laughed as the aurors pushed her towards the veil. As usual her magic seemed to hum whenever she was near the veil, it almost felt like home.
All Amaryllis remembered was watching the Weasley pale over the fact that their year of manipulations, betrayal, and lies ended in nothing - they would receive nothing like they expected to before the Aurors pushed her fully into the veil.
The last thing everyone saw was Amaryllis Potter sending them a sinister smile - in the years to come the death of Amaryllis Potter, the-girl-who-lived would haunt their very conscious.
{Bold - Lady Magic - Italic-Death}
"Brother. I must ask a favor from you?"
"You are the lady of magic, what could you possibly want from me?"
"I want you to give your mistress another chance at life."
"You want me to do what? Send my mistress back in time? Do you know how many laws that stand against that?"
"I'm well aware of the consequences of time travel, but this is needed. Magic is dying, I am instating the heir clause. Amaryllis Potter is a descendant of mine. I am proposing that you send her back to the 1940's, so she can be with her soulmate while also saving magic by becoming the 'Regina Magicae'."
"You want my mistress to become the queen of magic? Do you know how powerful she is now as just my mistress? If you do this she will become a sorceress. There hasn't been one of them in over a thousand years, you'll be putting a huge target on her head!"
"I know! I know! I know! But I am desperate, Mortem. I have discussed this with the rest of the deities, and we feel this is the only way that magic can be saved. Her life will not be easy, but there is no one stronger than your mistress - she is the only one who can do this."
"And what about her familial ties? Who will she be related to in the new timeline? Because she'll have to have her soul merged with a counterpart, I can't have her be rebirthed - she's not ready for that."
"She'll be reincarnated into the body of Nemesis Valdis Malfoy-Peverell. Her parents were recently murdered by Albus Dumbledore simply because they gave birth to the 'Regina Magicae'. Albus is doing everything he can to stop the prophecy from happening."
"Well, I guess this could be a good thing. I do feel bad, she didn't have a great life before. At least this way, she can get her revenge on Dumblewhore. I'm sure once I mention that she'll be on board with the idea. What about her soulmate? If I recall, Tom Riddle made his first horcrux in his sixth year."
"That's the thing, in this timeline Dumbledore defeated Grindewald in 1938, and he became the headmaster of Hogwarts in 1940, so when she is reincarnated Tom Riddle will only be in his fourth year. She'll be sent back in 1942. Dumbledore has already made tremendous progress in his tirade to eradicate all things dark, in just three years he has already had the olde ways banned, and had dark creatures lose the ability to get a job. Amaryllis will have her work cut out for her. He won't give up his power without a fight."
"He did that all in three years? That's a lot."'
"Yes, there are already muggle born protection laws, and half of the courses that even align with the dark have been stripped from the curriculum at Hogwarts. He moved very fast this time around. I also must warn you that Nemesis is the granddaughter of Grindewald. Her mother was his daughter - Grindewald was framed by Dumbledore, so this is secret that Amaryllis must find out on her own."
"Only you would make her life more difficult by making her the granddaughter of a supposed notorious dark lord. As if becoming the queen of magic isn't enough!"
"I can't help who she is related to. Hades Malfoy was infatuated with Astrea Peverell. Astrea kept her father a closed secret, only her husband knew who she was related to. Somehow Dumbledore found out, and that's one of the reasons why he killed them. Too bad he failed in killing their daughter."
"Are you sure Nemesis is Amaryllis' counterpart?"
"Yes, I'm sure. When she would be reborn, she would've been reborn as Nemesis, this just rushes things a bit."
"You have a habit of having no patience. Okay, I'm putting my trust in you sister, I'm just praying that my Mistress can succeed where you did not."
"I hope so too, brother."
{Bold - Death - Italic - Amaryllis}
"Hello, Mistress."
"Where the hell am I? Well at least Dumbledore isn't here!"
"You are in the in-between. The realm between life, and death. I am what most people call 'death', but you can call me Mortem, and you are my mistress."
"I thought that was only a myth?"
"No, it's a very real thing. You became my mistress as soon as you collected all three hallows, plus you are related to the peverell's through your father James, which is also another reason why you became my mistress. I specifically chose you. Now I have an offer for you, and you have no choice but to agree."
"You mean to tell me I don't get to be with my parents?"
"If you weren't my mistress you could've, but since you are now connected to me you can't go into the afterlife. Now, for my offer. I feel awful that you had such a bad life before, so I want to give you a chance at a new life."
"A new life? Like what are you going to do? Have me be rebirthed?"
"Nope, you shall be reincarnated into your counterpart who was born during Tom Riddle's time era."
"There has to be more to it than you just feeling bad, and giving me a new life."
"You are very smart, mistress. Yes, there are some things that you must do when you are reincarnated. Such as stabilizing your soulmate, saving magic, defeating Dumbledore, and becoming the Regina Magicae."
"Woah, woah, woah! Wasn't I supposed to become the Regina Magicae in my other life? That damn prophecy brought me nothing but betrayal and ruin. Now you're telling me that I have to go back in time, and live through the exact same thing."
"Dumbledore wasn't aware of the existence of the 'Regina Magicae Prophecy' in your old timeline. How did you know about that anyways?"
"I found out about being a descendant of lady magic when I went to gringotts, and took an inheritance test. The goblins were very forthcoming about the truth for a price, of course."
"Well it doesn't matter now. The new timeline will also activate the 'Regina Magicae Prophecy' once your soul is merged with the soul of your counterpart. Now I can't tell you everything because there are some things you must find out about on your own, but you will wake up to the year of 1942. Tom Riddle will be in his fourth year, so he has yet to make any horcruxes. Also a little spoiler alert, once you mate with Tom Riddle, he will share your immortality."
"Of course, you deities just love to make things difficult for us mortals."
"You'll be immortal, mistress. When you turn 21, you will stop aging."
"Won't that be suspicious?"
"No, the Flamels are also immortal since they are also very distantly related to the Peverells through the youngest brother."
"What about the potters in this new timeline?"
"They are unworthy of immortality. I must ask that once you get to Britain Gringotts, the first thing you must do is disinherit the Potters from the Peverell line. They are misusing my name, and it must stop. They have changed the seats on the Wizengamot from dark to light. The Peverell family has never ever been light."
"So much suspicious behavior. I'm gonna have to be really cunning if I'm going to get away with some of these things."
"Well I'm sure once you meet the Potters that you won't like them. They're a nasty bunch who are prejudiced against anything that is neutral, or dark."
"Wonderful, no wonder my dad was so arrogant. Anyways, can you at least tell me who I will be reincarnated as?"
"I'm not really supposed to, but I guess I can bend the rules for you just this once. You'll be reincarnated as Nemesis Malfoy-Peverell, you will be the daughter of Hades Malfoy and Astrea Peverell."
"A Malfoy? Really?"
"You will be very cherished once your uncle Armund learns of your existence. He is under the belief that his younger twin brother died in the war, but that was simply not the case. He simply moved his family to America to hide away. You are the first female Malfoy born within 7 generations. You are going to be very precious to the Malfoy's."
"I guess I can give them a chance. It would be nice to have a family for once, and if they can give me that then who am I to resist them simply because they're a Malfoy."
"The Malfoy family in this new timeline is just like the one in your old timeline. They believe in the olde ways, and that Muggleborns should be either separated from the muggle world, or stripped of their magic. They simply want the magical world to separate itself completely from muggles."
"That's not actually bad. I can agree on all of that now that I see what the light side is truly about. No wonder Tom and his death eaters acted so violent, they were desperate."
"The war was never supposed to happen that way. All I can say is that Dumbledore is a master manipulator, and if it wasn't for him your soulmate would've never delved so deep into black magic."
"Well, this time I'm going to save him. I guess going back in time has its benefits - now I can get my revenge on Dumbelwhore, and make him pay for all the suffering I had to endure."
"I believe that you will be smarter this time around - Not so naive."
"No one will ever manipulate me again, this time around I'm in charge of my own destiny."
"That's the spirit. Now, our time together is coming to an end. You will be reincarnated within the next two minutes, and it will hurt, but just know that if you ever need me all you have to do is call upon me."
"Wait, what about the deathly hallows?"
"They merged with your soul once you went through the veil. Of course you'll have a new wand once you arrive in Britain, you'll find it in the vault of death. Now, good luck mistress, you're going to need it."
The only thing Amaryllis remembers is feeling excruciating pain, and now all she can do is lay here while a bunch of memories from her counterparts' life floods her mind in a never ending cycle. She felt every single emotion Nemesis felt when she witnessed the murder of her parents, Hades Malfoy, and Astrea Peverell. She has no idea who committed the atrocious crime, but she promised herself that she would find out who did it, and make them pay.
"Lady Peverell, I see that you're finally awake!" Auror Kingston exclaimed in excitement.
"Where am I?" Nemesis asked.
"Do you remember what happened?" Kingston replied.
"Of course I remember. I remember how someone somehow stormed into the Peverell castle, and slaughtered my family right in front of me. If my mother didn't cast a last disillusion spell on me, I'd probably be dead too. Why couldn't I go with them? What do I have to live for now?" Nemesis sobbed.
"You have a lot to live for Lady Peverell. The American government is aware of who you truly are, besides the fact that you seem to have some of your magic blocked," Kingston said in confusion as he wrote something on a notepad.
"My parents were investigating who blocked my magic for awhile, but they have found nothing but dead ends. They have a suspicion that it was Lord Henry Potter, but they have no proof. The only ones who are capable of unblocking my core are the goblins, but it hasn't been safe to leave the castle for the last five years" Nemesis explained.
"Well you are officially in the gringotts branch here in America. The American president feels it's in your best interest to go back to Britain to be with your paternal family, the Malfoy's. Your uncle is under the impression that your father has been dead for over ten years," Kingston cringed.
"Does my uncle know of my existence?" Nemesis questioned.
"Not at the moment, but he will within the next hour. The Peverell account manager just sent a message to the Britain branch to contact Lord Malfoy. You have the option to either live with your uncle, or you could go and live with the potters. It's your choice in the end," Kingston recoiled as Nemesis shot him a nasty glare.
"The day I go live with the Potters is the day when pigs learn to fly without magic," Nemesis spat.
"I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to live with them since you have your suspicion that they were the ones to block your magic, but it's standard protocol to give you all of your options whether you like it or not," Kingston brooded.
"I understand," Nemesis smiled weakly.
"Please wait here while I go check with bloodthirst to see what time we need to floo over to the britain branch," Kingston ordered as he walked out of the room.
The only thing Nemesis wondered was how her uncle would take the news of her survival. She always wanted to meet her father's family, and now that she finally has the chance she's not going to miss this opportunity. Yes, going back to Britain is not the wisest decision since there are people there who want her dead for who she is, but she has to take this chance. The survival of the magical world depends on her - Besides, her soulmate is there, and she won't fail him this time.
Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire, England
Armund Malfoy was a man of very few words nowadays. Ever since the supposed death of his younger twin brother, and his sister-in-law he has done nothing, but dedicate himself to protecting his family. The loss of his magical twin has taken a huge toll on him, he can even go as far as to say that he lost a part of himself the day Hades died. It didn't make matters better when he got word that his sister-in-law was supposedly pregnant with a girl at the time of their death. The first girl born in 7 generations, and she was lost before she drew her first breath - his father Brutus isolated himself in France with his mother when he was told about the death of his son, and granddaughter. Now all he can do is put all his dedication into making sure that his son survives his teenage years - he was the future of the Malfoy family after all.
"Darling, I've been trying to get your attention for the last five minutes! Are you alright?" Emma Malfoy nee Yaxley asked her husband.
"Yes, yes, I'm alright. I was just lost in my thoughts. Where is that son of ours by the way?" Armund replied.
"I'm right here, father. I'm sorry I'm late, I had to send a quick message to both Tom, and Orion. It was quite urgent," Abraxas panted as he took the seat to his father's left.
"Does this have to do anything with Orion's father finally getting Tom out of that dreadful orphanage?" Emma asked her son.
"Unfortunately it does. He is finally going to file for guardianship over Tom, but he has a reason to believe that Dumbledore will try to stop it," Abraxas explained with a hint of disgust in his voice.
"No one, especially the Heir of Slytherin should be living in an orphanage," Armund pointed out. His wife hummed in agreement.
Before Abraxas could further explain the dire situation his friend is in, an owl from Gringotts swooped down, and landed in front of his father.
"Honey, I thought you finished your business at Gringotts two days ago?" Emma questioned in confusion.
"Yes, we shouldn't be hearing from them for at least a month. At least that is what Sharptooth said in response to our proposal," Abraxas added.
"I have a feeling this is about something completely different," Armund mumbled as he ripped open the letter a little too quickly.
Dear Lord Malfoy,
May your gold flow like a river, and your enemies flee before you. We here at gringotts unfortunately must deliver urgent news about your twin brother Hades Malfoy, and sister-in-law, Astrea Peverell. Unfortunately, I must bear bad news, and tell you that they were recently murdered in an ambush at Peverell Castle in America. The American President, and the aurors have tried for many days to find out who the culprit was but found nothing, but dead ends.
The American government has officially closed the case, and feels it would be better for the britain government to take over. Even with this devastating news, I do bring you some good news. Your niece, Lady Nemesis Valdis Malfoy-Peverell has miraculously survived the attack. She is currently with Head Auror Kingston at the britain branch of gringotts awaiting your arrival.
Now in cases of custody the majority of witches, and wizards are given an option if they have multiple familial ties, and she has decided that she would rather have you take over her guardianship than have the Potters take it. I urge you to make your way over to gringotts at your earliest convenience. Some things have come up that need your utmost attention.
Zreer,
Account Manager of the Most Ancient and Most Ancient House of Peverell
Armund dropped the letter on the table in complete shock. He couldn't believe it. He had a niece. A piece of his twin brother still lives, and she wants to be with him, and his family. He couldn't help, but break down. Armund was usually a stickler for decorum especially when it came to showcasing any type of emotion, but this kind of news just broke something in him.
"Father? What news did the letter bring?" Abraxas asked in panic. He wasn't used to his father showing any type of emotion so openly.
"She survived. The daughter of your uncle Hades, and Aunt Astrea has survived. She lived!" Armund sobbed as he fully embraced his wife who was trying to comfort him.
Abraxas took the letter, and quickly read through, and it was just as his father said. His supposed cousin lives, and wants to reunite with her paternal family. Secretly he always wanted a sister, but a cousin will have to do.
"Is it true Abraxas?" Emmas asked meekly. She always wanted a daughter, and the fact that a girls was born in the Malfoy family is a cause for celebration.
"Yes, mother, it's true. Her name is Nemesis, quite fitting isn't it? Especially for a female Malfoy?" Abraxas smiled.
"Yes, yes it is, my son. She shall be cherished, and must be protected at all cost. Your grandfather will be ecstatic over this joyous news," Armund confessed as he quickly pulled himself together.
"When shall we go, and pick her up father?" Abraxas asked sternly even though he was crying for joy inside.
"We shall go now. Apparently she is there now, and according to the Account Manager Zreer something urgent has happened to Nemesis. So, let's not wait, and get your things. We leave in five minutes," Armund ordered as she swept out of the dining hall to collect his wand. His son, and wife followed after to do the same.
"Greetings, may your gold flow like a river. I am Lady Nemesis Peverell, and I have an appointment with my Account Manager. Head Auror Kingston here will be acommpanying me," Nemesis said as she bowed her head in respect to the goblin teller.
"I'm actually just here to escort her to account manager, and then I must depart," Kingston blurted out much to the surprise of Nemesis, she had grown to enjoy the presence of the American Head Auror.
"Follow me, I shall take you to Zreer," the goblin gestured for them to follow him.
After taking numerous lefts, and right turns Nemesis was finally standing in front of her Account Managers door. This would be the first time she conducted business without her father, and she won't admit it out loud, but she is excited. She has been trained rigorously to become a lady of her prestigious house since birth.
"Welcome, Lady Peverell, Auror Kingston," Zreer greeted his guest.
"I shall be departing now Zreer. I must head back to America since the Regina is finally safe away from prying eyes," Kingston remarked.
Nemesis turned to face the man who practically saved her life. "Thank you Auror Kingston, for everything."
"It's my job, but one piece of advice. Don't let anyone dictate who you are. You're a special witch Nemesis, never let anyone diminish your worth," Kingston complimented with a bow of his head, and just like that he was gone.
Nemesis stood there looking at the door where Kingston disappeared from, and couldn't help but feel confused by his words.
"Lady Peverell, would you please take a seat," Zreer piped, which seemed to drag the beautiful witch out of the trance she seemed to be in.
"My apologies Zreer. I have a lot on my mind as of late," Nemesis sighed.
"That's understandable. You've been through something traumatic, but I must ask if the message from the American branch was very concerning. Now tell me if this is true, but you believe that your magic has been blocked?" Zreer asked.
"Um, uh, yes, I do believe it is. My parents did everything they could to unblock it, but it was futile. They believe that only the goblins would be able to unblock my magical core," Nemesis replied, trying to keep her anger at bay.
"I will be honest with Lady Peverell, I do sense a block on your magic, but we will need your new guardian's permission to do the cleansing ritual that will remove all the blocks placed on you," Zreer explained.
"And when is my uncle Armund set to arrive?" Nemesis questioned in uncontainable annoyance.
"Soon." Zreer commented with a toothy smile.
Armund, Emma, and Abraxas Malfoy finally arrived at Gringotts bank. After much persuasion he was finally able to get Lord Parkinson to let them leave, the Lord was adamant that his daughter would make a perfect future wife for his son, but Abraxas seemed to disagree.
"Greetings Master goblin, may your gold flow freely beneath your feet. I am here to meet with the Peverell Account Manager, I am here to take over guardianship of my niece, Nemesis Valdis Malfoy-Peverell," Armund said with a huge smile on his face.
The goblin teller's eyes widened. "Yes, Lord Malfoy, Lady Malfoy, Heir Malfoy, right this way. Follow me, quickly."
After following the goblin through many passageways, Armund and his family finally arrived at Zreer's office. He took a moment to catch his breath, and calm his nerves. While he was collecting his bearings he felt his son put a hand on his shoulder in a show of comfort.
'What is Lord Malfoy like, Zreer?" Nemesis asked as she stood looking at all the paintings that decorated the wall of Zreer's office.
"He is stern, but fair. He is a huge family man, family means everything to him. You are actually the first female born into the Malfoy family in over 7 generations," Zreer pointed out, but was interrupted by a loud knock on the door.
"Come in," Zreer ordered. Nemesis quickly took a seat. You couldn't tell, but she was extremely nervous.
"Don't worry, they'll be happy to see you," Zreer added.
Armund quickly opened the office door, and was greeted by a beautiful sight; he couldn't help, but gasp out loudly. "Nemesis?"
Nemesis turned in her seat, and almost broke out in a sob at the sight of her uncle. He looked exactly like her papa did, the only difference was their eye color. While Armund had green eyes from his mother, Hades inherited the infamous bright blue-grey eyes the Malfoy's are well known for.
"Hello, uncle," Nemesis stood, and curtsied.
Armund quickly made his way over to his niece, and embraced her fiercely which took Nemesis by surprised, but she didn't hesitate to embrace him back.
"Father, can you not hog her?" Abraxas asked in annoyance. He wanted to embrace his cousin. For pity's sake, you could say that he, and Nemesis could be twins with how much they look alike.
"I'm not hogging her!" Armund laughed as he let go of Nemesis so his wife, and son could get a good look at her.
"Wow, you are beautiful my dear," Emma praised as she hugged the life out of her niece.
"Enough mother, let me through!" Abraxas shouted as he pulled his mother away to get a proper look at his new found cousin.
"She is right. I'm going to have to scare all the boys away now," Abraxas sighed as Nemesis pulled him into a hug.
"It's nice to meet you cousin, but I guess we could say that we are Irish twins. My papa always did tease my mother about how I inherited most of the Malfoy genes," Nemesis stated as a lone tear cascaded down her beautiful face. Abraxas quickly wiped it away, giving her a look of sympathy.
"Zreer, are there papers I must sign for her guardianship? If not, I would prefer to take Nemesis home immediately," Armund asked.
"We can't go home yet, uncle," Nemesis said sternly.
"And why not?" Abraxas questioned.
"Because, um, I believe that there are blocks on my magic, and only the goblins are able to undo them," Nemesis whispered high enough for everyone to hear.
"And pray tell why do you have blocks on your core?" Armund shouted in outrage as he turned to face his niece.
"IF YOU WOULD PLEASE JUST LISTEN!" Nemesis shouted at the same time her magic lashed out knocking everyone else off their feet besides herself.
"My, my, Merlin, are you powerful," Zreer mumbled as he helped Lady Malfoy stand up. Abraxas was doing the same with his father who couldn't take his eyes off his niece.
Nemesis couldn't hold in her emotions any longer. "Not even 36 hours ago did I witness my parents get slaughtered. I am traumatized, angry, and outright tired. My magic is blocked, someone deliberately tried to make me weak. There are things you don't know uncle. There is a reason why my father, mother, and I were hiding in America," she hissed.
"You need to rest, Nemesis," Emma scolded.
Nemesis pinched the bridge of her nose. "I will tell you right now, I am not a normal witch. I don't need to be coddled. I think what you need to know is that these magical blocks are causing me immense pain, and I would very much appreciate it if I could get some relief."
"I don't understand. Hades said he was in America to be the Head Auror, he said it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up?" Armund questioned, feeling completely baffled.
"That's far from the truth uncle," Nemesis sighed. "But I promise I will tell you everything you want to know after I get my blocks removed, they can't do it unless you give them permission."
"How many blocks does she have? Did she take an inheritance test?" Abraxas asked Zreer in uncontained outrage. Whoever put blocks on his cousin's magic would pay dearly, he would make sure of it.
"As soon as she first walked in here I could sense a strong block on her magical core which by the way is very strong even with the block," Zreer explained.
"Then I give you permission to do whatever it takes to release my niece's magic from whatever is binding it," Armund snapped as he watched his wife fuss over Nemesis who was eating up the attention like a fish took to water.
Zreer took out a piece of parchment plus a magical dagger, and handed it over to Nemesis, "All you need to do is put 3 drops of blood on this piece of parchment."
Nemesis did what she was told without hesitation, and watched as words started to form on the parchment.

To say that Nemesis was shocked would be an understatement. The anger was boiling beneath the surface just waiting to explode. How dare they do this to me?
"And this cleansing ritual will get rid of all this absurdity?" Nemesis asked in disgust.
"Let me see that Nemesis," Armund demanded as he snatched the inheritance test from his niece's hands. Abraxas and his wife began to read it over his shoulder.
Ignoring all of the profanities coming out of her uncles, and cousins mouth, Nemesisturned to Zreer who was looking pale as he read through his copy of her inheritance test. "My assumptions about Henry Potter were right. I have no doubt that he has something to do with my parents murder. He was the only one besides the American aurors who knew about the location of Peverell castle in America."
Armund snapped his head to look towards his niece. He tried to say something, but he was left speechless. What would Henry Potter benefit from the death of my twin brother, and sister-in-law?
"Cousin, these accusations must remain within these walls. Until we have solid proof there is nothing we can do," Abraxas said as he sat down, and took Nemesis hand into his. He could tell that these findings deeply upset her.
"Of course there is something we can do. As the Lady of the House of Peverell I have the authority to disinherit them from the line of Peverell. Why should they benefit from my family magic when they could be the reason behind its line almost dying out?" Nemesis questioned.
"You do have the authority to do that. I would actually advise you to do that quickly since Henry Potter recently took up the Wizengamot seats at the insistence of Dumbledore," Zreer interrupted.
"And can I take those seats back? I want to finish my education first, so I will most likely name my uncle as my proxy," Nemesis stated.
"We can take them back immediately. It might cause an uproar, but I'm sure it won't be much of an issue once your uncle proclaims himself as your proxy at the next meeting," Zreer responded.
"Y-Y-You'll name me as your proxy?" Armund stuttered in disbelief. The amount of magical and political power his niece possesses was simply outrageous.
"Who else would she make her proxy father?" Abraxas scoffed.
"She could make Lord Black her proxy for all I know!" Armund shouted.
"Lord Black has yet to be made aware of my existence, uncle. As far as magical Britain goes, I don't exist," Nemesis dismissed.
"Now listen, that's a lot of political power you are trusting me with. I mean for Merlin sake, you're the damn Regina Magicae," Armund rebuked.
"What he is trying to say Nemesis is that he is shocked that you are trusting him with this much power - power most men would kill for," Emma commented.
"As far as I'm concerned the only people I trust are in this room," Nemesis exclaimed.
"And that's alright. I'm glad you trust us because you are very precious to us Nemesis. Wait until grandfather finds out about your existence," Abraxas laughed in absolute glee.
Armund paled at the thought of Brutus Malfoy. He would have to immediately contact his father in France to let him know that he is needed urgently at home. This was not something he could keep from him, this would surely make his father feel whole again.
"What do we have to do to get her magical core unblocked?" Armund questioned impatiently.
"We can perform a cleansing ritual, for a price of course," Zreer said with a toothy grin.
"Take it out of the Lefay Vault Zreer, and add 1,000 galleons for your troubles. I would also like a complete audit on my accounts," Nemesis ordered which shocked her uncle, and cousin. "What?"
"It's not normal for a woman to be in charge of her finances," Abraxas tensed.
"Well it's a good thing I'm not a normal witch. My father raised me to be an independent witch Abraxas," Nemesis smirked.
"Of course, you're not normal. You have more power in your pinky than every girl and boy in Slytherin house has in their entire body," Abraxas muttered.
Trying to not laugh at her son's look of absolute disbelief, Emma finally gathers the courage to point out the elephant in the room. "I noticed that you have a soulmate, Nemesis. Abraxas happens to be best friends with him."
"Mother," Abraxas scowled.
"What?" She asked innocently.
"Soulmate or not, no one is good enough for my little witch," Armund sneered.
"A soulmate bond is the last of my worries. I have goals, and anyone who gets in my way can either move, or get wiped from existence," Nemesis giggled.
"Goals?" Abraxas asked in confusion. His cousin was sounding more and more like his best friend by the minutes which scared him to death.
"Yes, goals Abraxas. I'm the infamous Regina Magicae. Can you imagine the absolute uproar this will cause throughout the magical world? We need to plan this accordingly. We must exercise all of our cunning if we are to save magic from the grasp of Dumbledore and his sycophants," Nemesis corrected.
"Obviously there are things we have yet to know, son. But I'm sure Nemesis will fill us in once we go home. Won't you, dear niece of mine?" Armund asked sternly.
"Of course, uncle. I would never keep any secrets from you," Nemesis said sincerely.
"There are a lot of questions pertaining to your inheritance test that I want to ask," Abraxas pointed out.
"And all of your questions shall be answered in due time, cousin," Nemesis retorted.
"They better be," Armund mumbled which earned him a smack on his arm by his wife.
"The cleansing ritual is ready, Lady Peverell. Are you?" Zreer asked.
"Yes, let's get this over with. I shall be right back. While I'm away will you please prepare for me to take my ladyship rings, and the proxy rings for my uncle," Nemesis suggested.
"Of course. If that is alright with you, Lord Malfoy?" Zreer commented as Nemesis was led out of the room by a goblin healer.
"Yes, that is perfectly okay. I just can't believe that she is trusting me to be a proxy to all of her houses," Armund fretted.
"Darling, you are worrying too much. If she trusts you with this much power then she trusts you, don't second guess her," Emma chastised her husband.
"I agree with mother, father. Nemesis obviously has heard stories about you and our family from uncle Hades which is why she trusts us. Let us not misplace that trust just as soon as we got her back," Abraxas said stoically. He was not taking the risk of losing his cousin. He would do everything in his power to keep her with him.
"You've grown attached to her fairly quickly?" Armund pointed out.
"We're Irish twins. She may be my cousin, but she'll be my sister in all but blood. I'll do anything I can for her," Abraxas promised.
"I'm glad. She may be able to protect herself, but you never know, so it's your job to watch out for her Abraxas," Armund demanded.
"Of course, father," Abraxas said with a bow of his head.
Armund watched as Zreer walked back into his office with a bunch of ring boxes, and piles of what looks to be records of his niece's accounts. He would have his work cut out for him. Maybe he could bring his father out of retirement, I'm sure he'd do anything for his granddaughter.
"You're going to have a lot of work now father. Maybe you can bring grandfather into the fold along with Lord Black," Abraxas suggested.
"You literally just read my mind, son. I was just thinking about the same thing. I'll see what Nemesis thinks. I mean these are her houses we are dealing with, she is the heiress," Armund stated as he looked through the financial statements for the house of Peverell.
"Alright Lord Malfoy, all of these rings are proxy rings. They have not been used in centuries, so once you put them all on they shall merge into one ring just like Lady Peverell's ladyship rings shall do," Zreer said as he pushed all the ring boxes towards Armund.
As Armund was putting the rings on, the door to Zreer's office opened, and in walked Nemesis.
"How do I look?" Nemesis asked while twirling around, feeling more free than she has in years.
"Wow," Abraxas whispered in awe. His cousin was beautiful before, but now she is ethereal. He had no idea how someone could be so pretty, but Nemesis exceeds those standards.
"You look lovely, dear," Emma commented, giving her niece a fierce hug.
"You look so much like your father except your eyes, you have your mother's vibrant purple eyes - the color of royalty," Armund gushed.
"Can you flare out your magic?" Abraxas asked curiously.
"Um, uh, about that?" Nemesis scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. "My magic is much stronger than I anticipated now that it is unblocked."
"Come on, it can't be that bad," Abraxas egged on.
Nemesis let her magic flare out, and watched as Zreer, her uncle, aunt, and cousin gasped out in shock over the sheer power radiating off of her. "I told you."
"Unbelievable. Never in my years have I met a witch as powerful as you," Armund murmured, clearly worried about how the magical Britain will react to his niece's level of magic.
"I think you forgot that I'm a descendant of Lady Magic herself, uncle,". Nemesis corrected.
"Yes, it seems he did forget," Emma laughed as she watched her husband look at their niece in complete awe.
"Lady Peverell, I have your ladyship rings here. Are you ready to take them?" Zreer asked as he attempted to pull himself together.
"Yes, what do I have to do?" Nemesis questioned.
"I think you know," Zreer deadpanned. Nemesis just smirked.
Nemesis put all of her ladyship rings, and one by one they all merged into a magnificent piece of jewelry that would make all of the witches in wizarding Britain green with envy.
"Wow, that is a beautiful ring," Emma commented as she closely examined the ring.
"Did all of the proxy rings accept my uncle?" Nemesis asked as she looked between her uncle, and Zreer.
"Yes, they did," Zreer replied.
"I'm glad. I would not have anyone else manage my houses while I focus on my education," Nemesis pointed out.
"Is that all? I believe we have covered everything. I will contact you once I have done a full audit on all of your houses," Zreer explained.
"Thank you, Zreer. May your gold flow like a river," Nemesis said with a wave of her hand as she walked out. Her family hot on her heels.
"Nemesis, wait up. You have no idea where we are going?" Abraxas shouted as he ran up, and offered his arm which Nemesis took without hesitating.
"Where will we be going?" Nemesis asked.
"To Malfoy manor. We have a lot to discuss, and we must get you situated. We also need to contact Headmaster Dippet, so we can get you enrolled at Hogwarts," Emma listed.
"Do you have all your belongings? I didn't seen any near you?" Armund asked.
"I have my chest shrunk in my pocket," Nemesis replied.
"That's great. I'm sure your aunt will still want to take you shopping once you get situated," Armund said as Emma nodded in excitement.
Nemesis couldn't help, but groan. There is nothing she hates more than shopping which is why she has the majority of her stuff sent to her via owl post. "I guess I can put up with shopping for one afternoon."
"You don't like to shop?" Abraxas asked as he stopped in front of the floo network in gringotts.
"My mother never liked it, so I guess it rubbed off on me, but I can make an exception for Aunt Emma," Nemesis smiled. Emma couldn't help but warm up at the sentiment.
"Do you know how to floo?" Armund asked.
"Of course I know how to floo," Nemesis deadpanned, looking at her uncle in disbelief.
"That was a stupid question," Emma pointed out.
"You think?" Abraxas snorted as he stepped into the floo. "Malfoy Manor!"
"Well, I shall see you on the other side," Nemesis said as she disappeared into the green flame.
Numengard Castle, Austrian Alps, Austria
"Auror Kingston, it's been awhile. What brings you to my humble abode?" Gellert asked sarcastically.
"I've come bearing good news," Kingston replied.
"And that would be?" Gellert deadpanned.
"She survived, Gellert. Your granddaughter lives," Kingston said with a small smile.
Gellert choked on his wine. "You're absolutely sure?"
"I wouldn't be here if she didn't survive. I escorted her myself to the britain branch of Gringotts. She is now in the custody of her uncle, Armund Malfoy," Kingston replied.
"And what is she like?" Gellert questioned.
"She is well unlike any witch I have met. Her aura alone screams power, and she apparently had blocks on her magic," Kingston illuminated.
"Blocks? On her magic? Who would dare!" Gellert sneered.
"She had her own suspicions on who did it. She is convinced that Henry Potter put the blocks on her with the help of Dumbledore," Kingston claimed.
"Dumbledore? What was he even doing near my family?" Gellert shouted in outrage.
"Didn't you know? He helped Hades hide, but I have a terrible feeling that Mr. Malfoy put the trust in the wrong people," Kingston frowned as he started to come to his own conclusion.
"I see you have connected the dots by now?" Gellert smirked.
"Dumbledore seems to not be the light wizard he has everyone fooled to be," Kingston whispered.
"DING, DING, DING. We have a winner!" Gellert laughed.
"But why?" Kingston asked in confusion.
"Why? WHY? Because that's who he is. Albus Dumbledore has only one goal and that is to control the wizarding world. He will start with Britain, and then move on to the other countries. That is why he wanted my daughter, and granddaughter both dead - they are both descendants of Lady Magic herself. My granddaughter is the prophesied Regina Magicae," Gellert scoffed.
"I already knew that," Kingston pointed out.
"How? The only ones who know are Dumbledore, myself, and my daughter, and son-in-law. I'm sure my granddaughter knows by now," Gellert declared.
"The American government found the prophecy, but they won't do anything about it until Nemesis makes a move," Kingston explained.
"Why would America cooperate?" Gellert asked in confusion.
"Because it is prophesied that your granddaughter will bring a new golden age. An age where Lady Magic is celebrated again, and that is all America wants. With the ICW banning the practicing of the olde ways and any mention of Lady Magic, the other magical communities will gravitate once her existence is made known," Kingston answered.
"The ICW is now banning things?" Gellert stammered.
"Yes, and they have the backing of the British magical government," Kingston confessed.
"Well that now explains how Dumbledore has been able to ban things so quickly. He has the ICW in his pocket," Gellert brooded.
"Not all the ICW, but the majority of it is backing him," Kingston corrected.
"And what news of my release?" Gellert asked.
"Austria has granted it, but the ICW will be monitoring you very closely, so tread lightly," Kingston scolded.
"I'm allowed to leave Numengard?" Gellert asked again.
"Yes, but you must remain in Austria. I would write to your granddaughter if I were you. Rumor has it that House Peverell has a manor somewhere in Austria," Kingston suggested.
"I shall do that. Thank you, old friend," Gellert smiled.
"I shall see you around Gellert. Best of luck," Kingston said before he left.
Gellert had a lot of work ahead of him, yes he did indeed. One day I shall reunite with my granddaughter, and what a day that will be.
