"Heyyyyy everyone~! This is the lovely DDonna, and thank you all for coming to another one of my exclusive streams! Donations will be open in just another minute, hang tight while I get situated!" Echidna said with a wink into her webcam, lying prone in front of her laptop while giving her boilerplate intro to a whopping four viewers. Her audience had doubled since yesterday's stream, so the pressure to perform was on.
Ever since Echidna had started streaming on WaifuCam, a site where streamers receive donations in exchange for on-camera 'performances', she had been doing live shows nearly every day to make some extra cash. She had been fortunate that her flatmate was generous enough to take on the bulk of their rent and utility expenses, but her own spending money would have to come from her. She was unsure about the streaming scene at first, but with the help of a few of her friends and one crazy-devoted fan, she had gotten herself a solid start on her E-Girl career!
Unfortunately, her fanbase was still small. Even something as trivial as entering the double digits still felt like a far off dream to her. Echidna hadn't been in the business long, but she could already tell that it would fit in perfectly with her lifestyle of staying inside and wearing loose clothing all day long. For this stream, she had picked a shoulderless sweater and striped stockings, all black and white to fit into her monochrome color scheme. She had pushed the vast mess in her room off to the very edges of her webcam's view, her soda and a microwave bento on either side of her laptop in case she got hungry in the middle of her stream.
"Alright everyone, I'm just about ready to start! Get those donations ready, folks!" Echidna winked into the camera, holding up a couple of peace signs in front of her face. WaifuCam is an interactive site where members of the chat can propose a donation tied to a request, and the streamer can either accept the request for the money or refuse it. For Echidna, she would normally be asked to say dirty things, flaunt her buxom chest or round ass around, or even strip down layer by layer until there was nothing left to remove. However, she longed for the day that she would get an expensive donation for something more 'out there', something where she could make bank and show off her sexy body at the same time. But for now…
Minervois: wow, not a lot of new people today, huh?

Her typical roster of friends and lone, yet dedicated superfan were always comforting to see in her chatroom, but Echidna longed for a wider audience. She needed some kind of boost in popularity to gain traction in such a competitive business, but what could she do to make herself stand out?

"Huh?" Echidna wondered who they were talking about, so she checked her webcam preview to see, and sure enough her room's window was just barely visible, behind it was a dark haired young man standing atop a ladder, holding a spray bottle and a shammy. "Oh don't worry, that's just my flatmate, Suba—... Subaru!"
Echidna's face lit up, the one burnt-out lightbulb in her head lighting up with an idea as she stood up off the floor and made her way to the closed window. Subaru looked startled when he saw a ghostly pale face pop up right where he was scrubbing, but he relaxed when he recognized that face as the woman who constantly made herself into the world's largest pain in the ass.
"Subaru, hey! I've got a stream going and I could use some of your male sex appeal! What do you say, wanna lend your old pal 'DDonna' a hand?" Echidna asked, her hands, nose, and forehead pressing against the window as she made him an offer. Subaru just pointed to his ear and shrugged to indicate that he couldn't hear, so she opened the window he had been washing so they could speak face to face. "Subaru! I've got a stream going and—BAH!" Right as she was beginning to repeat herself, Subaru sprayed her in the face with his homemade cleaning solution. Easy on the eyes, but tough on stains.
"I heard you the first time! No way in hell am I parading my naked ass around for your stupid webshow!" Subaru snapped at her, peering through the open window to look her right in the eyes that she was furiously wiping. "I'm not taking a single step into your dirty goddamn—Oh my GOD!" Subaru stuck his head through the window entirely, giving the chatroom their first good look at Subaru's face.
SweaterPrincess: Are we… still unsure about stalker theory? He looks… angry…
2tired2sleep: gotta admit, hes kinda hot tho
SweaterPrincess: Maybe… just a little…
"Look at this fucking place!" Subaru cried out, looking around Echidna's pigsty of a room. Her floor was littered with half-eaten food, energy drink cans, and heaps of unwashed laundry, all pushed to the sides, right outside the webcam's field of view. Her bed was unmade, her closet was overflowing with mismatched pairs of shoes, and he could see that her hair was an unwashed wreck. She looked as if she had rolled out of bed five minutes ago, changed clothes, then pulled up her stream, which was entirely possible given who he was talking to. "That's it, you stay right there! I'm coming over!"
By the time Echidna had finished wiping her face, Subaru had already stepped down from the ladder and was on his way inside. Echidna just shrugged it off and went back to her laptop, laying on her belly to read the few messages waiting for her.

Echidna's heart skipped. That last one was a new follower. Someone brand new had joined the stream in the seconds that Subaru had been on camera, and already they were asking for more. So Echidna thought to herself 'If a few seconds got me one new follower, imagine how many I could get if I got him to join!'
Just as she was fantasizing about the amount of snacks and takeout she could buy with the 'streamer money' she didn't have, Echidna's door was suddenly kicked open by her irritable housemate. Before Echidna could even say something witty about how a boy shouldn't barge into a girl's room, Subaru took hold of one of her ankles with both hands and started pulling her out of the room. "S-Subaru! What are you doing?"
"You're taking a bath while I clean this place! This is NOT up for discussion, your living conditions are UNACCEPTABLE!" Subaru snapped like an overbearing mother, trying to ignore the larger mess she was creating by fruitlessly grabbing onto loose garbage in an attempt to anchor herself in place. In her desperation to remain in her room, she even pulled on her laptop enough to give her audience the perfect view of Subaru hauling her ass towards the door.
"Nooooo! Chat, help meeeee!" Echidna cried, reaching a hand out to her audience, her very last sliver of hope for support in her cause to remain a dirty NEET.
Minervois: come on, we talked about this! you've got to start cleaning your room more!

"... You guys are no help at all!" Echidna pounded her fist against the floor, which she instantly regretted, remembering that she was a weakling and they had hardwood floors. As she rubbed the sides of her hands in pain, her mind raced to think of another excuse to get this online embarrassment to end. "S-Subaru! Are you sure you want the internet to see you dragging a helpless girl out of her room like this? You can get canceled over this sort of thing!"
"Oh please, the bathroom is right across from your door. Your precious audience will be able to see me throw your ass in there!" Subaru yelled back to her as he kicked her bedroom door back open, revealing another door just across the hall. He kicked that door open too, dragged her through the door and onto the tile floor of the bathroom, then dropped her legs so she could lay in place. Subaru went over to the tub and started to run a bath, dropping a bar of soap into the accumulating water to make sure she had some sort of cleansing agent, then left the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind him, leaving Echidna to get up on her own.
"Hey, c'mon! You could've at least waited until I was finished streaming!" Echidna stomped her foot as she pouted, fuming that she had at least five people, three of whom she knew, saw her get humiliated live on camera! "At least promise me you'll join my stream when I'm done!"
"Like hell I will! Why should I?" Subaru shouted through the door, holding onto the doorknob in case she tried to escape.
"B-Because… Because…" Echidna crossed her arms and tapped her foot in deep thought, pondering her options until the same dim lightbulb lit up again. Two good ideas in one day was impressive by her standards. "Because if you help me earn money here, then I won't have to bother you for spending money anymore! Maybe I'll be able to earn enough to help with reeeeent~!"
Even behind a closed door, Echidna knew that she had grabbed his attention, smiling to herself like an evil villainess. "...Fine," Subaru grumbled through the door, "I'll join your stupid stream, but only ifyou take a proper bath though. Deal?"
Echidna smiled. "Deal! Shake on it?"
"Don't push it." Not risking the chance of her escaping by forcing her way through the crack of the door like a feral cat, Subaru kept the door held shut, only leaving when he heard the sound of clothing hitting the floor and feet entering the tub. He was about to begin cleaning her room, but of course she had to yell about something stupid.
"GAH! Subaru, I almost slipped on this bar of soap! Why is it in the tub!?"
"I didn't want you in there for ten minutes thinking that you're getting clean with water only, so I made sure that your bathwater had some soap in it by default!"
"Well that's going to be a real problem!"
"And why is that?"
"Because when I sold my last batch of bathwater, I got complaints that it tasted 'too soapy', so I started using less soap overall! Now this batch is ruined!"
"... I'm going to pretend I never heard that, and you're going to stop selling your bathwater. Forever."
"I don't—"
"Oh, you WILL! You either play by my rules, or else I'm kicking your sorry ass to the curb to stay with one of your friends!"

Echidna sucked her teeth, knowing full well that none of the friends that she saw as sisters would want her living with them. The only reason Subaru had tolerated her this long was because of his seemingly limitless supply of patience, but even he apparently had his limits. In order to continue her lackadaisical lifestyle, it would seem that she would have to make some compromises.
"Alright alright, fine! No more bathwater sales!" Echidna cried out, kicking her legs to splash around some of the still pouring water.
DDonnaTeaLover: DDonna-sama, nooooo! To think that the last shipment of DDonna-sama's bathwater would be the very last… I feel faint, I think I'm going to need a minute
Minervois: !DDonnaTeaLover dude, touch grass
"Good!" Subaru huffed and nodded his head, satisfied with their agreement and moving on to clean Echidna's very messy room. He started with the closet on the opposite side of her bed, which was a noticeable eyesore from the moment he first poked his head through her window. After carefully maneuvering across her messy bed, he got a closer look at the small mountain of clothing and knew instantly that he didn't want to risk touching any of this. Instead of sorting through them and trying to figure out what's clean and what isn't, Subaru just used his foot to nudge the majority of the pile back into the closet so he could get the door closed. He would have to deal with that later, the aging food on the ground was going to attract ants if he didn't get rid of it.
When he moved in front of her bed and started to pick up banana peels, pudding cups, and whole, uneaten pizza slices, Subaru finally picked up on the constant pinging noises coming from Echidna's laptop. He threw all the trash he could into an unused waste bin, then looked over at the messages he had been missing out on.

Subaru blinked at that last line. Apparently this site came with the option to either 'Accept' or 'Reject' a donation; a green button to accept the fund upon performance of the requested action, and a red button to reject the request along with the donation. He scrolled over the red button with the trackpad and declined the offer. "Sorry guys, but I'm not doing that much, especially for so little!"

"Holy shit, that's sad." Subaru mumbled into the laptop's cheap built-in microphone, shaking his head at his friend's desperation for money. He had offered her to come help him with some of the various odd-jobs he would perform around town, but she always slept in and preferred to stay online.
SweaterPrincess: Yeah… Echidna is the type to take on… pretty much anything…
"What does she normally do?"

"I can't believe you people pay money for stuff that happens every time I talk to her in casual conversation..." Subaru sighed, impressed at the ridiculous things people would pay for these days.

Subaru shook his head disapprovingly. "Look man, I appreciate the easier request, but I'm a pretty stubborn guy. It'll take a lot more than that to get me to do something I don't wanna do!" Subaru declared as he clicked on the big red 'Reject' button. Smiling was far easier for him than taking off all his clothes, but even something as simple as smiling was a stretch for Subaru when he wasn't in the mood to smile. With his current situation of cleaning his flatmate's room after he had to literally drag her away to bathe, smiling was not on his mind at all. "Sorry guys, but I'm not really cut out for this sort of thing." Subaru shrugged as he stood up and was about to resume cleaning.
But then another message stopped him.
xXxShadow_GardenxXx: $50 Donation - Please take your jacket off while you clean.
This one… seemed doable to Subaru. He was getting a little hot in his jacket, the donation was the highest one so far, and the request allowed him to retain a normal amount of clothing. It seemed reasonable enough. "Alright Shadow Garden," Subaru hovered the mouse over the green 'Accept' icon, "you've got yourself a deal!" Subaru clicked. The ring of a cash register played and the money was accepted, meaning Subaru was obligated to follow through with the request, or else face the terms and conditions of WaifuCam. It's not like a ban to him would mean anything since this was Echidna's account, but he wasn't about to make a liar out of himself.
After a casual shrug to fool his mind into thinking this was no big deal, Subaru took his jacket off without any sort of form or grace, then lobbed it on top of the bed he would soon have to make. He felt like it was too easy, that he shouldn't be able to make $50 just for taking one article of clothing off. He looked over to the chat spamming heart emotes and felt a strong sense of pride in his appearance, that these people somewhere out there in the world were using their free time to look at him. It made him feel… wanted.
Nearly thirty minutes passed as Subaru cleaned and Echidna bathed, both making progress in their respective tasks. Echidna had called out that she was done washing herself, so Subaru assembled an outfit using the few articles of clothing in her dresser that he knew were clean. He opened the door to the bathroom just enough to get an arm through to hand off her stack of clothing. She placed her hand on top of her clothes, but put her other hand under his and lightly tugged him towards her, enticing him to come in and help put her clothes on like some 'dress-up darling'.
Disgusted, Subaru flipped his palm downwards and dumped her clothes onto the bathroom floor, then quickly slinked his hand back through the gap and shut the door. He held the doorknob closed, and sure enough Echidna immediately tried opening it to seduce him with her body, but even her entire body weight leaning back wasn't enough to get Subaru to budge. She *tsk*ed in disappointment and eventually ceased her attempts at flashing him, picking up her clothes and evaluating the outfit Subaru had picked out for her.
He had picked out a white t-shirt with fancy black writing across the chest she had gotten from Spencer's, a pair of black denim booty shorts, some long black socks, and a pair of while lace underwear. The underwear was between her neatly folded socks, as if Subaru was too scared to handle them with his bare hands and used her socks to pick them up. She smiled at his childish nature, but she was especially happy that he managed to pick out an almost-perfect outfit!
With the exception of the shorts, she put everything on and strutted out the bathroom door, feeling cute, submissive, and exploitable for financial gain with how good she looked in her t-shirt dress. She danced her way across the hall and into her room, feeling more refreshed and radiant than she had all week! She made a flashy spin as she entered her room, surprising Subaru and her stream with a dramatic entrance complete with a wink and finger guns.
Subaru didn't really react, he simply closed the dresser drawer he had just finished packing with folded clothes, then clapped his hands clean as he turned around to show off his toned, bare chest to Echidna. It was one thing when they bumped shoulders while getting water in the middle of the night, but to see Subaru shirtless in her room while she just cleaned herself made Echidna think that she was living some sort of dream. But alas, he wasn't asking to pin her to her bed and dominate her, so she knew this wasn't one of her Subaru dreams. So then why…
"What's the matter Subaru, is the heat getting to you? Or are you just so hot and bothered at the thought of seeing me that you couldn't help but to take a few layers off~?" Echidna leaned forward as she teased him, lightly shaking her chest side to side to entice him into submitting to her charms.
"No, I just thought I'd help you earn some extra cash. Someone donated $50 for me to take my jacket off, then $100 for my t-shirt. Can you believe that?"
"Wait, WHAT!? What the hell!?" Echidna cried out in confusion, standing straight up and putting her hands to her head, tugging at her hair. She dove onto the floor and frantically checked her recent chat history.

Echidna was conflicted. One one hand, she was seething that Subaru was apparently more popular and more profitable than she had ever been. However, with $150 and over twenty active viewers in less than an hour, the amateur streamer was in awe at the discovery of the cash-cow she had been searching for.
"Welp. Your room is all tidied up and I entertained your stream while you were gone. Imma head out." Subaru picked up his shirt and jacket from her neatly-made bed and went to pass over her and exit her room, but she sprung up from the floor and held her arms out wide.
"BAH! Don't go!" Echidna pleaded, trying to keep her golden goose from fleeing the henhouse. "C'mon, the stream really seems to like you and you're helping me out a lot! Pleeeeeease?" She clasped her hands together and bowed her head, pleading for his entertaining talent.
Subaru leered at her, watching for any insincerities or funny business, but he only saw the desperate pleas of his friend and flatmate. "Fine, I'll stick around. But you take the spotlight back, I'm sick of being the center of attention. Just don't do anything too crazy, I'm not as comfortable with all this as you are."
"Yes, absolutely! I promise, nothing too intense! You have my word" Echidna put her fists to her hips and puffed out her ample chest, proud in her dedication to meet Subaru's request.

"You got it!" Echidna crouched down and quickly clicked on the green button, committing to this request and grabbing the hem of her shirt and flinging it over her head, leaving her in nothing but her socks and underwear! She was about to unclasp her bra, but that's when Subaru muscled his way past her, almost knocking her off balance.
"Sorry, but I'm not staying here for this. Good like with your stream, 'DDonna'." Subaru waved a hand over his shoulder as he walked out, putting his t-shirt back over his head and swinging his jacket back around him. Echidna wanted to protest, but she had already committed to following through with a request and she had a time limit before she had to issue a refund. As much as it pained her, she had to let him go… for now.
"Er, sorry everyone! Looks like my partner won't be joining us for the rest of the day, but allow me to—"

One by one her viewer count plummeted, causing Echidna to shriek as her viewers were quickly reduced back down to the single digits, nothing more than her usual crowd and a few bots picked up by the algorithm remained. She was supposed to start stripping, but she suddenly lost the thrills she was feeling just moments ago.
DDonnaTeaLover: Fret not, DDonna-sama! I will always be here for you!

"Yes, yes. Thank you TeaLover, thank you girls…" Echidna cast her disappointed gaze away from the camera, her mind occupied with thoughts of her lost audience. If only she could get Subaru back on stream, then she would have the funds to buy all the clothes, snacks, makeup, and Funko Pops she could ever hope for. She was thankful that Subaru didn't stumble upon her figuring collection under her bed, for they were her secret passion. She vowed to have them all, and she needed Subaru to reach that goal, so Echidna was going to do whatever it took in order to get Subaru back on camera. Her devious smile returned as she finally unhooked the clasp of her bra, tossing it aside while simultaneously covering her nipples with her other forearm, winking into the camera as she toyed with her precious donor.
She knew that TeaLover liked to be teased.
