The scene soon opens to a man in a chair in a library sitting next to the fireplace as he turns his head to the screen.
"Ah…hello there. I am Amadeus Cornelius Flux. You might know me as the main villain of the Dimensional Heroes series, although plenty of posers and upstarts have been taking that spot a lot. Anyway…on August 24th, 2012…the world was first introduced to the Dimensional Heroes series through Dimensional Heroes: Explorers of Sky. Since then, many more stories were created within what fans are now calling the Color-Verse. Many different directions the author never expected. Shining Hope Squad, Brave Adventurers, Spirit Force, Team Chronicle, Unmei Force, Mythos Hearts, Fatebreakers, these are to name a few of the series that spun off or are still connected to the Dimensional Heroes series. For 10 years, this series has been running. We have to think of a major story to celebrate all the series has to offer. And in this one story…it's where I bring the so called Hero Alliance to their knees!"
"Uh sir…" Ian spoke as he held the camera.
"Oh right. Getting ahead of myself. Perhaps we should start from the beginning." Flux said.
A couple days after departing Wano…
"You idiot! How dare you put us in danger with that stunt!" Nami shouted to Luffy who was beaten up and sitting in a cage.
"I'm sowwy." Luffy said.
"Hey…we all made it so its all good." Caspar said.
"Don't you dare coddle him!" Nami called out.
"Whoa…what the…" Caspar said.
"Yeah…don't get too close to her when she's mad." Jexi said.
"To be fair on Nami's part, it wasn't the first time Luffy has done something like this." Craniamon said.
"What else did Rubber Monkey do?" Hapi asked.
"He's put us through a number of crashes and near death experiences." Jexi said. "But…since Kaido and Big Mom are gone, the criminal underworld is going to be in disarray right now so looks like we got time to do something fun."
"Yeah. I will admit. Fighting all of those forces in a single night was…very taxing on some of us." David said.
"Though we were victorious, I feel I did not do much on my part to help." Constance said in her depressed personality.
"So…what exactly did you have in mind?" Adora asked.
"I say…we do some exploring." Jexi said.
"Exploring?" some of them said.
"Like old times sake. There's only one universe that no one has ever checked out yet. The other new one that popped up…the Memory Universe." Jexi said.
"The Memory Universe?" Ace asked. "I'm guessing from its name it's kinda obvious what kind of universe it is."
"All people know is its name. No one really knows what's in it yet…till we check it out." Jexi said as they headed off.
Meanwhile in the storage with a number of boxes, one of them shook before the lid was kicked off.
"Ugh…finally, they've taken off." Flux said emerging with Ian.
"Sir, I don't get it. I thought you gave up on this." Ian said.
"I know but that time at Kadic really ignited the old passion of beating down those no good heroes. And we have the drop on them. Sneaking into the cargo while they resupplied in Wano was an act of sheer genius." Flux said. "Problem is…now that I'm here…how will I get the drop on them?"
"You mean you didn't think that far ahead?" Ian said. "These guys are like monsters now."
"Okay, I admit. I'm rusty at this." Flux said. "But I'll definitely think of…something?" he said looking out the window to see a formless aether. "Strange…this isn't like the lanes between worlds. Is this all there is out there?"
With the heroes, they looked out at the formless aether...
"Whoa…there's…nothing there. No worlds, no inhabitants…nothing." Tails said.
"Well, this is called the Memory Universe. Maybe if we look back on something, we'll be able to see what this place is about." David said.
"No way it would work like…hey!" Jet said as Ajna was trying to reach out.
"Come on. Work you…" she said as she was pulled back.
"Are you insane…don't…" Jet said as he looked. "What the?" he said as a vast land formed before their eyes.
"It's…home…" Ginseng said.
"Our world…" Dhar said.
"Not just yours…" Jet said seeing a number of worlds forming and connecting into a massive land.
"I see…the reason it was formless was cause there was no substance. The aether must have analyzed Ajna's memories and created worlds off of every place she's ever been or done." Jeremie said.
"Wow." Simon said. "Nicely done, Ajna."
"This means now…we have a way to give this universe substance." Tails said.
The heroes did the same as Ajna as the once empty universe started to fill with many different worlds as they conjoined into one massive land.
"Whoa… Look how expansive this place is now." Rinwell said in awe.
"If places from our memories can come into existence, what about people?" Linde asked.
"Hmm…we won't know that till we touch down." Aelita said.
"I say we do it now." Jexi said as the Galaxy King descended into a part of that world. They landed in some forest before emerging as they saw a beach.
"Wait…I remember this…I think that's us." Dan said seeing a Charmander, Piplup, Pikachu, Chimchar, Bulbasaur and Magby lying on the beach.
"This was after Flux sent us to the Realm of Exploration." Aelita said.
"Oh, this is the one that started it all!" ZS realized. "The first mission of the Dimensional Heroes!"
"Well we haven't started calling ourselves that yet. We were just five people who Flux sent to that world. Well five at the time." Dan said as they saw a Krabby pinch Ichigo and Dan awake. "Oh…right…that's how the two of us woke up."
"Least that won't happen a…" Tails said as the Krabby approached him before pinching one of his tails. "Ow!"
"Okay…so not only do the places and people appear in this world, apparently they can be interacted with as well." Miles said.
"That's… an interesting feature." Zacian said.
"Which means we'll have to be cautious about what we do in this land." Linhardt said.
"Indeed, especially with what we think of in our memories." Rime said.
"Right…worlds of memories can have both good and bad mixed with each part of this land." Onyx said.
"Though if this where everything started for the Dimensional Heroes, could we be going to key locations of their adventures that would lead up to now?" Baril asked.
"It's hard to say. We have no idea how this land works." Shamir said.
"For now though, perhaps we should continue on." Yuri said.
"Yeah. We need to…whoa…" Jexi said as they saw a door standing straight up.
"I don't remember ever seeing a door like this in this world." Aelita said.
Jexi approached as they opened it as they were standing in a vast jungle land with strange plants and small alien creatures.
"Wisps? This is Planet Wisp." Sonic said.
"It's…one of mine." Jexi said as he saw the large mother wisp holding a small baby. "That's…that's me!"
"Whoa…so our own pasts aren't off the table either." Asta said.
"So we can explore any of our past adventures here if the Memory Universe wills it? That's interesting." Hope said.
"And those doors connect to the hundreds if not thousands of memory sections created here." Yaoyorozu said.
"Wow, that's a lotta stuff. Where should we even begin?" Makoto asked.
"Here, I guess." Mark said, gesturing towards the scene in front of them.
"Nah…nothing really happened here till Flux tried to harvest energy when I was six." Jexi said as they looked for another door.
"Soooo… you and ol Amadeus have been goin at it for years ever since you were a kid, right?" DW typed. "Kinda speaks volumes that you've been fighting him for so long and not get bored of it being repetitive."
"It's fun, okay?" Jexi said.
"We all remember our first, it seems." David said.
"I didn't get my first Nemesis until Despair came along." Hope said.
"He's been reformed." Sonia said.
"Right…" Hope said as a door appeared. "Huh?" he said, opening it as they found themselves appearing in a stage. "Wait…this is…the Crown Petone. I remember this night. Look…that's me there." Hope said, seeing himself sitting in the back.
"When was this?" Ace asked.
"This was after the group's first adventure with Professor Latyon." Hope said. "I got a ticket from someone I worked for to get into this show when I was living as a runaway."
"Oh, of course. You ran away from your life in your birth family to pursue your dream of becoming a hero." Sonia said.
"Yeah. Little did I know that this cruise was gonna be turned into a Life or Death game for immortality." Hope said.
"Oh right…this was when…" Jexi said as the show finished as the lights went out before the stage lit up.
"Hello my guests!" a voice called out as standing there were Flux, Spectra, Eggman and Buggy.
"What is going on? Why are those guys here?" Mayumi asked.
"Simple! We're here to make a little offer. And we have a group name, little girl. We are…the Universal Villains!" Flux said as they posed.
"Wait, Spectra was with the Universal Villains?" Linde said.
"This was during the time that the Vexos were still in their villain phases." Hope said. "Spectra probably had joined up with Flux to make sure he'd be able to attack Dan anywhere he went."
"Kind of funny how things have progressed since then." Leia said.
"Now we're going to play a very fun game. A game for eternal life! The winner will gain immortality. However, the losers…will lose their lives!" Flux said.
"But…it's really a small price to pay for eternal life." Eggman said.
"Did you actually buy into this when you were there?" Ragna asked.
"No way. I knew better than to play a game hosted by them." Hope said. "Flux, Eggman and Spectra seemed like bad news, even though I didn't know about them at the time. And I already heard plenty about Buggy from the news."
"So, what? You chickened out?" Balthus asked. "Who'd wanna pass up an opportunity at immortality?"
"Anyone sensible, that's who." David said.
"He's right, Balthus. I wouldn't want to associate myself with these thugs either!" Constance said.
"Oh, Constance, you're back to normal?" Bow asked.
"We're in a dark theater at night. Of course she's normal, Bowey." Hapi said.
"She'll probably be going back and forth between her two personalities plenty in this place." Catra said.
"Hmm…if I remember…" Jexi said. "Get in the seats." he said as they moved out of the aisles as a number of people were running to leave only to be stopped by henchmen and robots before the floors opened as the ones fleeing fell through.
"Well…that broke the ice. Now then…" Flux said before a shot was fired into his head as he fell dead.
"Sorry, old me…but there's a change in plans." a voice said as the current Flux stepped out of the shadows.
"Whoa…two Flux's were there that night?" Caspar said.
"Somehow I doubt it." Leopardmon said.
"I think that's the real one." Al said.
"I think you're right. But why would he try to mess up a memory?" Adora asked.
"Not a true memory. This universe has substance, unique people and places. And many of villains…who will be happy to unite under my banner." Flux smiled.
"So your plan is to manipulate the Memory universe to finally take us down?" Hope asked.
"Pretty much. Yes." Flux said. "And it should be easy since I remember a lot of their fates and know how to avoid them."
"You must be stupid if you think we're gonna let you do what you want in here!" Frosta declared.
"Oh…I'm well aware of what you all will try to do…so I had a little trap set up here earlier." Flux said pressing a button as the row of seats the groups stood on opened up like a trap door.
"Why is it always our team who jinxes us?" Perfuma asked.
"So deja vu, anyone?" Marta asked.
"Save that question for when we have solid ground!" Bernadetta insisted as physics kicked in, allowing them all to fall in as the trap shut itself.
The group groaned as they found themselves in a large sub.
"Huh? A sub? But how did…" Hope said.
"You likely didn't know this…but no one actually died during that game. They were taken back to shore in these subs." Jexi said.
"Huh, whaddya know?" DW typed. "Amadeus isn't totally heartless."
"Actually, for the longest time, even though he is a villain… I've never seen him go that far and kill innocent lives." Hope siad.
"Even villains have standards. Some just more than others." Sectonia said.
"Besides, the guy wants to finish us himself. And he's got a massive head start." Jexi said.
"Wait, I just thought of something." Peacock said. "If this Universe makes itself up entirely of our memories, then while we're here, anything's possible! We just gotta think of a memory so we can get ourselves outta here."
"Peacock, you're a genius!" Glimmer said.
"No…that's how it would work in the mind…but we aren't. This is all real." Tails said.
"Guess we'll just have to find another way out." Gemini said. "Anyone ever been on one of these before?"
"I think so." Mayumi said.
"Oh…guess that's kinda cool." Lan said as they saw a door on the side. "Okay…" he said, opening the door as they saw it connected to a maritime Japanese base.
"Huh… don't remember this being part of the game." Hope said.
"This is a new locale. But where are we?" Sakura asked.
"Wait…I remember this." Mayumi said. "This was during that school trip to the Tokyo Naval Base."
"Right…memories are connected in various ways." Tails said.
"Excuse us, sir. But are you sure it's okay to have our students test out the submarine?" the chaperone asked. "I mean, if it's military-grade, then there might be a few precautions to take."
"Yes, I am certain. The submarine may be armed, but it's only for target practice. They won't have to worry." the lieutenant said. "Now, we are going to need a group of volunteers just to see how the submarine functions."
"We'd better make sure your school group gets their turn before anyone notices were on it." Hope said.
"Hey, what does this thing do?" Asta asked as he pushed a button on the sub as they saw a missile launch and hit a nearby boat.
"Asta, you idiot!" Noelle said.
"Hey!" the lieutenant asked. "What're you doing here? Do you even work here?"
"Uh…it's our first day?" Asta said.
"Hmm…you're lucky the ship you blew up was a garbage barge." he said.
"And…at least we know the missiles work." a corporal said. "But there probably won't be a chance of a live combat situation, so it shouldn't go too badly. So, volunteers?" he asked as a younger Mayumi and three others stepped forward. "Okay, little ones. Take a shot at it." he said as they eagerly stepped to the control console.
"Okay, so… Let's see…" Young Mayumi said as she was searching for targets. "Hmm… Maybe…" she said, pressing a button as a missile launched and hit a dummy ship.
"Whoa…that's some aim." the lieutenant said.
"Thank you, sir." Young Mayumi said as she got off to let someone else go.
"You never told us you went through that kind of stuff." Kokoro said.
"I think this was the first time I found out I can handle heavy machinery." Mayumi said.
"Mechs, Pokémon Battles… She is a woman of many hidden talents." Zacian said.
"Huh…always something good to keep note of." Jexi said. "Though we still got to find a way to Flux."
"Well, maybe Peacock was wrong about anything being possible in the Memory Universe, but I think there is a way." Entrapta said.
"I think Peacock was thinking the Psychic Universe when she said that." David said.
"Wait…what do you mean?" Natalie asked.
"All of these memories are connected to one another in one massive circuit." Entrapta said. "All we'd have to do is pick the right ones till we reach him."
"Well, we're gonna have to do a lot of hopping, then." David said.
