Chapter 1: Onto New Horizons

Silence. That's all that has been following the enigmatic Doctor for a while. All that could be heard was the loud, eerie groans of his only age-old companion as he stood at it's helm, staring at the monitor in front of him with either interest or disappointment. It was hard to tell anymore. It's been maybe a few days since his first encounter with the strange, mysterious, impossible girl, Clara. Since his adventure through Victorian London, The Doctor returned to his time/space hopping ways with reinstated vigor. And, yet, Something seemed off. The Raggedy man was knocked out of his thoughts as the TARDIS groaned an odd sound, alerting him to the monitor screen

Some sort of distress beacon?" The Timelord questioned "Or, rather... No, more of a Heads up?

He huffed to himself as he stared at the Gallefreyian text on the screen with intrigue and curiosity, it seemed to be a set of coordinates, pointing to an inconspicuous place, on an inconspicuous island, on an inconspicuous planet. After a few more minutes, staring down the screen with a calculated gaze, a small smirk formed on the Doctor's face. He had somewhere to go now, and it might be fun

"Well, Sexy" He muttered as he looked up to the Machine's whirring mechanism "How about a quick trip to Japan?" He asked with an excited smile, before rushing around the TARDIS's console, toying with the ship's controls and setting his destination. An odd Library in Rural Japan

A boy in green was walking down the street, and entered a large Library. He began looking around the shelves, not really sure what he was looking for, when he swore he heard the strangest noise. An odd groaning came from... somewhere, he wasn't sure. He began to look around more inventively, trying to find the source of the now silent noise, passing by an old, strange book, and, on his search, accidently bumped into a very strange man. He was quite tall, wearing a dark brown coat, suspenders, jeans, dress shoes, and an obvious red bowtie. He almost looked like a Professor

"Ah, S-sorry, sir" Naofumi muttered as he bowed to the man "I didn't see where I was going"

The man seemed to utter something with a large smile on his face "It's all right. To be frank, I wasn't watching where I was going either. Go on about your day" He bowed back slightly, before leaving Naofumi to his questioning thoughts 'What a weird guy. He seemed nice, though'

The Doctor held onto his smile as he walked down the aisle(?(I have no idea what it's called)), before backpedaling slightly and staring at an odd book, before slowly tugging the tome from the shelf and reading it's western cover 'Bit odd for a Japanese Library' He thought to himself as he stared at the cover, reading 'The Legend of The Cardinal Heroes'

'Cardinal Heroes?' He thought, before opening the book, speed reading through it, but not before tearing out the last page, and reading about three of the four heroes, one with a spear, one with a bow, and one with a sword. He muttered to himself again about hating weapons like those, simply because the people that used them never used their heads, and turned the pages to read about the shield hero

'How odd' The Doctor thought to himself "There's nothing about him. Bit of a shame, I probably would've liked him" He uttered out his thought, before the book began to glow in his hands, blinding the man, before the light, and The Doctor, disappeared. A loud groaning began again, echoing throughout the library, before fading away with a similar light gleaming from the TARDIS's hiding spot. Every trace of the Oncoming Storm had vanished into the open book

WASSUP FUCKERS! I have returned from my Fanfic retirement to bring about a better story idea than a Dalek becoming the Shield hero (No offence to the writer, but that is a VERY ridiculous idea AND plot). I came up with this idea from the story, yes. but, also because that was the ONLY Doctor Who x Shield hero story, which is dumb. Seriously, The idea behind the shield hero is that he can't fight, and the Doctor's own code literally has him REFUSE to fight! The Doctor as the shield hero was a good idea, but, apparently, no one else had it, so, I'm making it myself. I'm also thinking of making an SAO reacts to SAO Abridged story too, but, I'd need a screen write of the Abridged show. ANYWAY! I hope you enjoyed!
