Legend of the Sun God

This is my first time writing a fanfic story. I personally love this series and the inspiration to write about it hit hard. I plan on writing as much as possible. I decided to go a different route from the main story. Instead of following the usual Rudy's twin reincarnation trope, I thought it would be best to give this new reincarnation a new mother. Based on how Paul Greyrat is within the series I believe it makes tons of sense. This will be a slight crossover, but not too big. I want to give this reincarnated character the power of Sunshine (Escanor/Mael's power from seven deadly sins.) Of course I don't want to go and make this character too overpowered so restrictions will be put in place to nerf him a good bit. I promise to try and make the story as interesting as possible. For more information you're just gonna have to read and figure out what I have planned.

A/N: I will not have the reincarnated MC know anything about Mushoku Tensei, or Seven Deadly Sins. I feel like it takes away from the story having them be able to know what's literally going to happen even if I used AU theory. If they knew about SDS they would also know all about their Sunshine power without even needing to train it which seems stupidly OP.

A/N I have not thought ahead on the pairings for this story so feel free to comment what pairings you would like to see between the reincarnated MC and also for Rudeus as well. Without further ado let's get to it.

Disclaimer, I own nothing, nothing at all

Chapter 1: Birth of A New Ray

'There is no way this is happening. Why me. Why was I his next victim. I did my best to avoid this outcome. So how… How the hell did Truck-kun take my soul?'

Flashback ten minutes ago.

FINALLY! School is out for good. I worked my butt off for 18 years and finally I soon will be able to call myself a high school graduate. I've had my fair share of ups and downs but what does that matter now? I'M AS FREE AS EREN YEAGER. The future's looking bright.

As I walk out of the front gate my left eye twitches. Ever since I was little whenever my right eye twitched it meant I was going to have incredible luck, or something along those lines. However, whenever my left eye twitched, very bad things would happen to me such as breaking a bone, or falling off a ladder. Needless to say my good spirits instantly went away and I decided to rush home.

I'm almost there, just need to cross this street and I'm home free. The walk sign lit up, I looked both ways and started crossing and for a small millisecond I felt relief, but as they say, all good things must come to an end. Just as I was in the middle of the road a truck which I can only assume SPAWNED from thin air. There was no driver, none that I could see anyway. All I saw was my fate. I was the next victim of Truck-kun. But at that moment my life didn't flash before my eyes. Nor did my family, nor did my friends. What flashed before my eyes in that split second before collision was none other than the sun. It was such a nice day out. I guess by god's standards it was a nice enough day to die. The rest was a bit… bloody.

As I lay there bleeding and dying my eyes stayed focused on the sun. Pretty weird considering my vision was completely black but they were locked onto it nonetheless. Within seconds of being hit my soul gradually left my body.

When I came to, saying I was surprised would be an understatement. I opened my eyes to see a room shrouded in darkness. With only a few weak candles providing light. Considering I expected to see the whites of the heaven gates instead my brain had just about exhausted itself due to all the surprises

As my vision adjusted I noticed I was in the arms of a muscular tan skinned woman with silver hair and massive breasts barely covered by sheets. Beside her was a man with long blonde hair and green eyes. He was fairly tall and his body was well built, but not nearly as built as the sheman who was holding me. Next to him was a blonde haired beauty . Her facial expression was hard to read but she looked happy with a faint bit of sadness in her ocean colored eyes. Although the most noticeable thing about her is that she was holding a baby. I couldn't quite see the newborn's face but I could tell by my prior knowledge that the baby was at least a month older than me. The last person in the room was standing near a door slightly bowing. She had red hair but due to the shine of glasses on my eyes I couldn't quite tell her eye color.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what happened to me. I definitely died and I've somehow been reborn. Based on how the three blondes in front of me and the one redhead I would have assumed I was somewhere in Europe if not for the fact that the person I'm guessing to be my mother has animal-like ears. That could only mean one thing. Unless my mother is a cosplayer then I seem to have found myself in another world. This realization is both shocking,

exciting, and also terrifying all at once. Like others, dreamed of reincarnating in a fantasy world however once it actually happens you realize how much a fantasy world would lack, like safety, proper medicine etc. But regardless as I was in my own thoughts I heard a deep voice say something.

"Zeak Aish vaktar Ghislaine! Zenith aktar lotur ec ocase Rudeus!" The only grown male announced with excitement. Announced what? Hell your guess is about as good as mine. Sounds to me like the man is summoning candyman. However it seems the words of the man caused the blonde woman to smile brightly. It was a soft and genuine smile of true happiness. If I was still in my original body I probably would have proposed to her right there without even learning her name. With her smile came a smile from everyone else in the room except my mother who was smiling softly at me the whole time.

Eventually I was placed in a fairly big crib with the baby from earlier. Now that I got a good look at him I could see he has blonde hair and green eyes. A perfect copy of the man's features, and his face matched well with the blonde hottie too. My guess was that he was their kid and I was probably his half brother. Though I can't quite tell if that man is actually my father yet. As I was going to rest I felt a hand touch my head. I looked up to see a little hand rubbing my head. Honestly it was cute and I bet he's just excited to have a new friend so I let him be and slowly drifted to sleep.

I still didn't know much about the language but I was learning rapidly. I guess I can thank this baby brain. It soaks in information like a sponge. In the past two months I've learned some crucial pieces of information. My name in this world is Leighton Greyrat. My fathers name is Paul Greyrat and my mothers name is Ghislaine Dedoldia and she's a beast woman. The blonde haired woman is my fathers wife Zenith Greyrat and the red haired woman is our family's maid Lilia. My half brother's name is Rudeus Greyrat and he's older than me by about a month and 2 weeks. Simply by observing the family I could tell my mother was good friends with everyone in the house. Yes you heard me correct just good friends. From what I can tell she holds no romantic feelings towards Paul which pretty much can only mean one thing. I'm an accident. Not my first rodeo being born by complete mistake, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. After finally learning how to crawl I learned of my own appearance. I have short blonde hair with silver ends. I also have my mothers animalistic traits being blonde and grayish cat-like ears and a silver tail. As for my eyes, well they aren't consistent. My left eye is green and my right eye is brown. Pretty cool looking at it but it also kind of confuses me. My mothers eyes are brown which should be the dominant trait but I guess my fathers genes forced hers to settle with a fifty/fifty agreement.

I've finally grasped the language a good bit. And I've reached the first huge milestone in my life. I can walk. Unusually my older brother and I both started to walk around the same time which is weird because Rudy started walking a few months earlier than he should have. Based on my mothers words I guess I learned faster due to my animalistic instincts. Beast people have to grow up faster than some other races so that they can face the predatory beasts within their forest. That being said, the time I started walking would be normal for a beastman.

During this period I spent most of my free time following Rudy. It didn't take long for me to realize the boy is a complete pervert. He would frequently steal Lilia and my mothers underwear and wear them over his head while eyeing their bodies. I could partly understand where he was coming from but at the same time he's supposed to be a… oh… I think… I… just figured it out… The way my older brother acts. From my birth until now I've never seen him cry once. No, his eyes. They are analytical. Analyzing everything about a new environment. He doesn't act like he's experiencing the world for the first time. He acts like he's experiencing a new place but not life itself. So he's like me huh. Reincarnated just like me. This could be a huge positive or a huge negative. If he is a reincarnation then we could share information with each other. Mutual benefit. I guess I'm going to have to figure out a time to question him on it. But based on how smart he seems, I'm sure he's figured me out by now as well.

A couple days passed and my mother seemed to be preparing to leave. Apparently she only planned to stay until I was born but after seeing me she loved me too much to leave right away. She wanted to make sure I was at least a little more capable of basic movement before she left. Outside her and Paul were sparring and Rudy and I were watching from the window while my mother and Lilia were cooking. I was mesmerized by their strength. My mother was moving insanely fast and was overwhelming Paul. Though Paul seemed to be giving it his all my mother seemed like she was holding back a good amount. Just as the fight was starting to get better

THUD

I looked back only to see Rudy lying on the ground below me. He seems to have fallen down. Even then he didn't cry. If anything this confirmed my suspicions.

"RUDEUS." Zenith cried out as if Rudy had been stabbed or something.

"Even a fall like that and he's still not crying." Lilia pointed out. Gotta say she's a really smart woman herself.

"Don't worry baby Mommy's gonna make the pain go away with a little spell." Zenith informed him with a cute grin.

I can't believe I hadn't even thought of that. I had completely forgotten about the existence of magic in a fantasy world. My brother seemed pretty bored until his mother began the chant.

"Let this divine power be as satisfying nourishment, giving one who has lost their strength the power to rise again. Healing! Zenith chanted and with the chant came a shining green light with very beautiful green particles all around Rudy's head.

Both our jaws dropped upon seeing this new development. Magic not only existed, but it was so beautiful. It was truly something that compared to the northern lights back in my own world. Rudy's mouth remained open until Paul and my mother entered the house

"Is everything okay? We heard a bang." Paul questioned after storming into the house.

"Is my kitten okay? My mother turned her head looking for me and upon seeing me dashed full speed and pulled me into a full embrace. After grabbing a hold of me she looked at Zenith with a look of question. Zenith leaped into Paul's arms.

"Rudy fell and hit his head." Tears were basically flowing from her eyes.

"It's alright Zenith he's a kid he's gonna fall a few times but that's how he'll learn.

"But what if one time he falls and hurts himself really badly." Zenith was on the verge of releasing the waterworks but Paul's next words seemed to seal the deal.

"He'll be fine, Zenith, trust me.

With that they continued in each other's embrace for a while until they looked back at my mother and I. She was rubbing my head.

"I really gotta stop worrying about you brat." My mother had a soft smile but I could see some sadness in it.

"It's time I moved on. This isn't my home but it is yours. I really don't want to leave you but I know it's best for me. Forgive me for being so selfish, Lei." Tears were rolling down her face.

"Ghislaine you know you can always stay with us you don't have to leave." Paul stated with sadness in his tone.

"Yea Ghislaine, your family we can put the past behind us and focus on the future." Zenith added.

"Nah, it's impossible. What you did to myself, and Zenith was unforgivable, Paul, and it led us to this situation. Sure we can stay acquainted but to insure it doesn't happen again I will leave. This is the right thing to do, trust me. I trust you both to take care of Lei and protect him with your lives. This is the last request I have for you both. Paul looked down in shame and embarrassment. Zenith approached my mother and hugged both of us as she slowly wept. No more words were exchanged between any of them. After a good few minutes my mother broke from the hug and rubbed my head. She smiled at me brightly then turned away and passed right by Paul. I didn't know when I'd see my mother again but I already missed her. I grew so accustomed to her overprotective feral love that it seems my instincts were acting up not having her around. However life keeps going. I knew my next steps. However step number one was learning how to use magic. I looked to see If I could spot Rudeus but it appears he was already gone. Most likely searching for a way to learn magic. Yup he's definitely not a natural born baby.

Chapter End

Thank you for reading this chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. I learned a lot just from writing this and I know the quality wasn't all that great but bear with me please. I'm super pumped about this story and plan to keep it going for as long as possible, perhaps maybe even to the end of the whole series. Remember to let me know your pairings for both Leighton and Rudeus.

Random Question: What's your favorite anime transformation? I like Killua's Godspeed a lot but probably would have to go Ultra Instinct Sign. It's just so damn clean.
