To the newer readers who aren't familiar with my writing, I'd like you all to know ahead of time that this is a newer version of an older story of mine that's updated to revise a few details from the original, and it was posted today as a result of the anniversary. However, due to circumstances that occurred in the middle of revising the first chapter, I realized it wouldn't be ready in time.

So, in order to give both veteran readers some new content they hadn't seen before, and you newer readers a chapter showcasing a detail that's actually vital to the plot. If you want to check the original story out, this chapter is an expansion on something that had only been talked about in Chapter 5 and may spoil things for this updated version, so if you don't wanna be spoiled about details that aren't 100% guaranteed to be the same? Best you stay with this version for now.

When I finally have the actual revision of the first chapter ready, this chapter will be updated and I'll post another to give everyone a heads up, while giving a preview for part of the second chapter's revision, and this chapter's content being moved to a Side Story over on AO3, so it won't simply disappear. After that? The finished revised second chapter and third chapter will be released together, and every update that follows will be an actual chapter.

I once again apologize for any confusion this caused, as I had planned way ahead of time to have a chapter ready, but updating the chapter in particular ended up defying my expectations. For now? I hope you enjoy what I have here.

The scene opened to the vastness of space, as everything slowly approached the big blue marble known as Earth, with its Moon rotating around it ever so slowly. There wasn't much going on, but those who looked closely might notice the Earth looked a little... different than usual.

And it was true, for right now? The landmasses weren't showcasing the seven continents we know of today.

"The origin of Humanity... according to Science, the modern-day version of what we know as Homo Sapiens first came into being around 300,000 years ago, maybe more or less depending on what future discoveries are made."

"However, when their origins are tied to religion, or more mystical sources... this information is skewed. Especially the Bible, which implies Humanity had started off as Homo Sapiens without evolution in a much shorter frame of time. Around perhaps 6000 years from the modern 21st century world they currently live in.

"So, which of these ideas is the correct one? Well..."

Right at that moment, something passed near the planet, looking dark in color... only to become inflamed as it was captured by Earth's gravity and pulled towards it. The now flaming object continued to fall without the flames consuming it as it began nearing a certain spot.

Zooming closer to the lands of Earth itself, various creatures were seen living their normal life, regardless of if they were predator or prey, the most common of which being the dinosaurs that were currently the masters of the planet as its more dominant species. This soon changed as many of them stopped upon hearing an unfamiliar sound, which led them to look towards the sky as the flaming object revealed itself.

Chicxulub, otherwise known as the six-mile asteroid that would cause the infamous Cretaceous-Paleogene Mass Extinction event. The asteroid... that killed off the dinosaurs.

Its approach finally triggered the panic and preservation instincts in the dinosaurs, but it didn't matter by this point as the dreaded asteroid near the surface of the planet.

*"BANG!"*

*"KABOOM!"*

*"RUMBLE!"*

The asteroid now able to be classified as a meteor struck the ground, causing a loud sound before it sent an explosion of rock, dust, and whatever else was in the ground into the skies and began covering the land in a blanket of materials that cut off the sun from reaching past the skies.

The land vibrated as a magnitude 10 earthquake and ripped through colonies of sea life, which had not been as aware of the danger and struck just as hard if not worse than the life above it, which was now starting to have an unstated number of wildfires ignite in a process that would devour 70% of the planet's forests by the time it was done. A truly life-changing event for the planet known as Earth.

When the initial effects of Chicxulub's impact finally ended, what life survived was quickly put to the test, one that many failed. Even those who survived technically didn't as for some, it meant evolving into new forms that shed their previous identities, such as the surviving Dinosaurs that would become the birds of the modern day to avoid being amount the killed and ruined. What was once the Age of Reptiles was brought to an end from a threat they never understood, and now... the Age of Mammals would begin.

Among these mammals, the animal that would be the ancestor of humanity would emerge.

"The truth is that all mythologies are true, so how could only the tale of the Bible be correct? Simple... that's because it isn't. If Humanity is able to alter history with lies, some of which are for the greater good, then what would stop deities from doing the same if telling the truth would be the end of them and/or those under them?"

"Even the God of the Bible had to hide some secrets, for the sake of keeping the faith his Angels survived off of. This goes so far back, not even the Angels of today know the full truth. For there are some stories better off remaining lost to time. Stories better off dying with the only ones left to remember them."

"Part of the Biblical God's story falls under this... yet part of it does not."

As the life of planet Earth struggled in the transition period without light from the sun, which was make or break for many who could not adapt or evolve, the area where the meteorite struck still emitted some powerful energy. It rose unseen to the eyes of any creature towards the sky, and eventually, the veil of torn land that blotted out the sun was eventually torn apart, not by it naturally dissipating itself, but by a lone figure.

One cloud started to glow on its upper surface, a white light that eventually sparked into a powerful radiance, so blinding that those who gazed on it may lose their minds. That light then morphed its shape until it took a new form and the life below saw the sun for the first time in two years. This mighty transformation left the being of light weakened, and it fell into a long slumber.

Millions of years passed until the being finally regained enough strength to awaken, and once it did, saw the world below from its domain in the high skies. Despite it had been sleeping for all this time? It seemed to know what shortly before it did as well as what had occurred during its slumber. Now, it stood before the world in its current stated and felt something... unusual upon seeing a certain race. It resembled an ape, but didn't have as much hair everywhere, yet what it did have was able to trump many a beast.

"Yes, that being was none other than the Biblical God, as he first stood aware of the world."

"Before the Age of Mammals, there was no such thing as magic in this world, but the strange properties of the Asteroid named Chicxulub by Humanity led to it flooding the world. With the Biblical God as the center of its dispersal. He saw what was an earlier stage of Humanity, a stage that was so close in DNA to Homo Sapiens that the people of today have no idea they even existed."

"When he saw them, the Biblical God saw potential in their form. He wanted to have this race thrive, wanted it to grow smarter, so it might avoid befalling a similar fate to the many races that were all silenced by the various mass extinctions that had plagued the world prior and erased enough life that the few still alive at the time were a mere fraction of what once roamed Earth."

"However, he did not wish to harm them in this process, so he needed to practice. In doing so... the direction of life on Earth took a new turn that evolution alone had never achieved by itself, and would be the first stone in the foundation of what would one day be called mythology and religion. He created... the first of the Heavens!"

Raising his arms into the air, the future Biblical God's hands released the power within all mana, and slowly created a new formation in the clouds, one that would be unlike any that had come before it. His new home was finished in almost no time, and he went inside to refine a few more details before resuming his work.

Looking at himself and then the ancestors of Humanity, he shaped his current form into one that resembled the later, and then flashed between both. This caused particles of light to fire off his body and slowly rain down across the Heavens before gently landing, with two landing in his hands. He focused on the first, trying to imagine the ideal form of his Human appearance into it, and then...

It happened. That small light expanded, until it took the form of a handsome-looking man with long blond hair and green eyes, clad in only a white robe. From his back, a pair of six white wings spread out. It was at this moment that the first Angel, Michael, was born into this world. Seeing his success right before his eyes, the Biblical God then used the second light and created a similar, yet different being. Where he had created something based on a man with Michael, he would now create something based on a woman.

His result gave form to an extremely beautiful blonde with curly hair, blue eyes, and a voluptuous figure. This was the Angel known as Gabriel, who would one day be called the most beautiful woman in Heaven.

"With the successful creation of Michael and Gabriel, the Biblical God made many more Angels in response, and when he had finally made enough? He then focused on his true intent. To make a new kind of Human based on their image, and the image of the Human form he had developed to keep those from being overwhelmed by his true body."

"From special clay made from the topmost later of the crater where Chicxulub landed, enough for him to make three attempts, he made the first man, Adam, and it was a success. His second attempt had him give life to Lilith, but while the actual creation succeeded, Lilith proved that he was unfamiliar with the full understanding of Human woman, who didn't act as his female Angels, to a point where with a heavy heart... the Biblical God was forced to seal her away."

"With only one more try, he asked his female Angels to examine how female Humans acted, knowing he couldn't afford to err with the last third of the clay and not wanting to seal away his third attempt like he had with Lilith, and only then did he make his second attempt at a Human woman. This time he was successful, and gave life to Eve."

In the Garden of Eden, the sight of Adam and Eve living together with clothes made of animal pelts was seen, the two living under the various conditions the garden would simulate on occasion. If they were unable to handle them, the Biblical God or one of the Angels would intervene, and give them advice for when the same condition was to arrive again, all to prepare them for the day they left for the world below.

One day, however, a strange phenomenon arrived. A sliver of the land underneath the Chicxulub Crater suddenly sprayed out a purplish light of sorts, causing everyone in Heaven to see a horrifying sight.

It was... no one was actually sure what they saw, but it was large, black, and seemed to resemble a creature known as a snake, but it had limbs and flew through the sky as if it was swimming through the air. To this strange black creature? It was just passing by, not even noticing the people who were fearing it as it passed by, but the Angels had nothing but panic and fear at the unknown being, to the point even God himself was terrified at what it might do.

That fear seemed to cause the light from the crater to absorb the fear, mutating into something. Only an hour after the whole ordeal, the Angels heard a scream as Eve saw something in the Garden. A creature that had some serpentine features, but also those of an Angel, though with wings as dark as the night. Adam arrived first, and readied his spear, which he stabbed into the beast's eyes, blinding it, but not stopping it as it continued approaching.

"What the Angels and God saw that day? It was something not of Earth, yet still able to interact with it. A creature known as a Dragon, one later known as the Infinite Dragon God... otherwise known as Ophis to the people of today. The arrival of Ophis caused a strange reaction, leading to the last bit of mana in the crater to mutate, and make a half-Dragon and half-Angel creature."

"This beast quickly invaded the Garden of Eden without notice, forcing the Angels and the Biblical God to rush over and save Adam and Eve, but it was not an issue task to subdue this monster. It ultimately took every Angel using their powers to create bindings of light long enough for the Biblical God, after making sure neither Adam or Eve looked his way, reveal his true form and destroy the creature's mind."

"With it subdued, God focused his feelings of the attack on Adam and Eve, making it gain a deadly poison that would harm it without killing it to keep it in check and only able to act with guidance. He named the creature Samael, then sealed it somewhere in Heaven until he found a better way to contain it. One he only found when the Greek God Hades and him would meet many ages later."

Following the event with Samael, the Biblical God gave Adam and Eve his last blessing, letting them know they were ready to go to the world below. They would soon give birth to Cain, and then Abel later. The two both met women who they fell in love with, Avan and Aclima, with both women developing the greater wisdom they had through their interactions, both having children not long after.

Then, the infamous tragedy happened, with Cain angrily striking down his brother. He was certain no one saw the deed... except God had, but the mark of Cain wasn't a true marking. He had let Cain return home without revealing he had told his family everything, with the worst reaction being that of his own wife. In his anger at how they chose to abandon him, and never understanding how it was wrong, he lunged at his wife and child in anger. In doing so, he took his life when his wife dodged, and fell off a cliff.

Not long after, Adam and Eve gave birth to Seth, and then requested God a return to Eden, no longer able to stay on the world below without remembering the son they lost.

God granted them their request.

"Not long after that, Seth met his wife Azura, eventually leading to his descendant Noah around 500 years later. It was here that God began to notice the irregularities among most of the ancestral Humans who hadn't been to adapt to the lineage of Adam and Eve, which made him realize that he needed to remove this issue via a great cleansing."

"He contacted Noah, telling him of his planned flood and why it was happening, stating that while he could not save all? This would save many more. As such, Noah spoke with his sons, whose wives had been the respective descendant of Cain and Abel's sole children before their tragedy, and gathered two of every animal so God may use the Ark to cast a great spell to protect the rest of their species who wouldn't be able to ride on the Ark alongside them."

"The flood then hit, and while some people did die? The water actually acted differently for a majority of the Human race, preserving them, and changing them over the 40 days in a way similar to God's spell of preservation for the animals. It erased who many were, but for those suffering from the lineage of Adam and Eve, they were cured and from then on? The entirety of Humanity had become the Homo Sapiens of today."

"Once the waters receded, nearly all of Humanity along with the two of each animal on the Ark were brought to one specific region of the world. The landmasses that people in the Modern Day refer to as Atlantis, Mu, and Lemuria as their new home. The few pockets of Humanity that had not would be among those later excluded from being known as God's people in history, forming the civilizations that would eventually form many other mythologies and religions, but not all of them."

"So, what happened after that?"

The people of God soon began to build their cities, and it wasn't long before they began to work on their greatest project. The Tower of Babel, a task challenged by God, who asked his people to prove if they could actually reach him.

It was here, that the world's greatest change would follow.

Screams were head throughout the Second Heaven as a giant orb of light erratically flew throughout the area, its form shifting so crazily it seemed more like an unstable ball of living lightning as it tried to devour anything with light as if it was some natural instinct it possessed. A few of the Angels were throwing spears of light to draw it over, and it zipped around.

"And... got you!"

At that moment, the Biblical God shot forward and created a powerful container of energy, trapping the rampant orb of light within as it harmless struck the prison's walls.

"We caught it, everyone! Weapons down, now!" Michael reassured them.

Hearing they finally caught it left many Angels relieved, or fall over tired.

"Father, what happened exactly? What is this strange orb of light?" Gabriel asked, looking at the orb of light as it hit the wall she was looking at.

"It was meant to be a powerful form of light that I'd use for a certain purpose... though not anymore. It's become too dangerous." God answered.

This caught Michael and Gabriel's attention.

"Do you recall when we saw... that?" He asked.

"We do." Michael confirmed.

"Samael was created as a direct result of that, and ever since, I've considered the thought of something bigger being out there besides just that creature. I myself was born through something not of this world, after all." God stated as he closed his eyes.

"So, you wanted to make something that would give us the means to fight such a powerful being, should such a day ever come." Gabriel said, making sure she understood.

"You are correct. However, this light is now showing signs not unlike that of Samael's birth. I believe it would be best for me to seal it away before it can become a threat of its own." He confirmed, looking somewhat disappointed.

Michael and Gabriel said nothing and simply closed their eyes in respect, knowing how their father hated to seal away any creations of his. As he put it, even if it was right, it didn't make him feel right, regardless of if the greater good such an act required it. Even now he wished for some way to give everything he sealed away to be given a second chance, though he would not let his guilt guide him either.

If there ever was a day that he could give his sealed creations such a chance? He would need to put the effort in making it a possibility.

"Father, if I may make a suggestion?"

God turned as he saw Uriel fly over to them, and then kneel as he did.

"You may, Uriel." He replied.

"I believe that we should leave it underneath the lands of Babylon. With the Tower of Babel's current construction progress, it would serve well as a place to properly contain this power." Uriel suggested.

Hearing that, God felt something off about his suggestion, but not the fact he made it. There was something he felt on the tip of his tongue, but why?

After some thought, he decided it wasn't too much of a concern and made his decision.

"I think your suggestion has merit. Go find Raziel, and ask him to alert the people of Babylon about this development. I'll be heading down to seal away the power shortly." God asked, accepting the idea.

"At once, Father." Uriel replied.

He took flight again to find Raziel, and God turned to look at Michael and Gabriel.

"Michael, watch over things while I'm gone, and alert me if needed." He requested.

"Of course." He replied.

"Gabriel, help any Angel that was heavily roughed up until my return, and ask Michael for aid if it's necessary. Anything requiring my direct aid will be Michael's job to alert me over." God requested.

"I shall." She replied.

They both flew off in different directions, while God turned towards the energy prison, grabbing it as he prepared to move it. The light kept hitting the wall as it tried to reach his light, but he was unaware of how much more... rough the light had been since it was noticing his power.

When he was ready, with Raziel having already since given the people of Babylon a heads up, he headed down.

Underneath the land that comprised the tri-continental area made up by Lemuria, Atlantis, and Mu, there was a sole figure who currently curled up and held by chains of light created by God himself.

It was a Human woman, wearing nothing but ragged skin pelts as clothes, who was dirty and ragged looking despite appearing otherwise healthy.

"Bastard... you bastard..." She whispered.

She had just heard another cheer echo throughout her prison, one that she had been under for at least a millennium or two. A prison that she was placed in for how she acted towards Adam long ago, by the man who gave her life only to (in her view) be a mere slave.

This woman was Lilith, the original first Human woman created by God, now just a prisoner.

"I will get my revenge..." Lilith promised.

At that moment, she felt a strange pulse as something about her prison change, with a magical surge causing the prison that contained the rampant light orb to appear.

Seeing the light orb caused Lilith to show some surprise. After all, she had been the only occupant in this place until now, with the chains alone giving her nourishment.

"You..." She breathed.

Lilith stood up, able to move since her chains only made sure she didn't somehow leave the prison area through making sure her most of her magic was drained, and walked towards the energy prison as the light orb soon sensing her.

"Like me... you're just like me, aren't you?" She asked the orb.

It then floated by one of its prison's walls.

"That bastard... he made you, but because you didn't end up as he wanted, he threw you down here. Am I right?" Lilith assumed.

The light orb didn't respond, being unable to.

"He is someone that I will never forgive, and I've sworn that if I was ever given the chance? I'd get out of her and tear apart everything he's made. Now that you're here..." She stated.

She shook.

"Now that you're here, I can tell just how horrible that bastard has become!" She roared, her anger fully blinding her.

With the malice she was emitting from said rage directly near it, the light began to change... and facial marks formed.

"Destroy..."

It began to show a scowl on its face, surprising her.

"You... like me... want to... destroy!" It claimed.

"Yes, to destroy him!" She agreed.

Having no idea what her negative emotions had caused, and what they were making, the light smashed into the prison's wall and made an even angrier looking scowl.

"Free... set me free... awaken my... power!" It demanded as the emotions it absorbed changed it beyond the point of no return, sowing the seeds of light's enemy.

Lilith was surprised.

"Am I... am I even strong enough to control such power?" She asked, a little nervous.

"Are strong... free me, now!" It ordered.

"Fine then, if you think I can... then I will!"

She reached her hand out, feeling the sting of the prison before her remaining magic kicked in and her arm phased through, allowing her to grab it. At that moment, the orb of light with an angry scowl? It stopped being light, and evolved into a black nightmare.

Lilith screamed as the power briefly used her as a conduit, but she endured everything.

"I am..."

The orb of light took shape as it blackened, gaining a humanoid form as Lilith stared in shock at what she was witnessing right in front of her.

"DESTRUCTION!"

The energy prison shattered, and a pillar of darkness shot upwards, with a bit of white laced in it for irony as three streams of darkness diagonally shot out of the ground, one in the direction of each continent's center point and scaring those who saw the unexpected horror.

As he prepared to leave and return to Heaven, having stayed to look at a few things, Raziel felt the sudden shaking the darkness had started.

"What the...?"

His eyes then widened as the Tower of Babel's entire structure was swallowed by the darkness, outright consuming the structure and the screaming people who were helping construct it. As he watched, he felt the sensation that truly terrified him.

Everyone the darkness had consumed? Their souls had been fully erased.

"Father, what is happening here?"

And that was just what was happening at the center of the three landmasses that the Tower of Babel had been stationed over. In the center of each continent, a different set of horrors were slowly developing.

From Atlantis, a huge lakebed had all its marine life swallowed into the center of the dark pillar, and when it finally faded away... something shot out of the water.

"My Lord..." Someone whispered.

When the flying waters finally settled enough, the people saw what had risen out of the water was a giant snake-like creature with a scaly underside, large fins that could be mistaken as wings due to their shape, and long koi whiskers that were all part of a dark blue and electric cyan color scheme. The creature's eyes shifted to reveal they were mostly red with green pupils as it let out an ear-splitting roar from its jaw full of shark-like teeth.

"The Gogmagogs! Hurry, deploy the Gogmagogs!" Someone panicked, calling for their defenses.

The sea serpent roared again as it rose its fins.

As multiple robots flew from certain areas, machines designed to protect the population from some of the more dangerous animals when they became a problem, the serpent suddenly flapped said fins and caused all the nearby water to rise and spin in the form of waterspouts before charging energy in its mouth. As the Gogmagogs arrived on the scene... the energy fired out as a black and blue beam, incinerating them all.

"Hear me, pathetic humans! I am Leviathan!" The monster loudly declared.

It wasn't long before the region of Lemuria saw the dark pillar forming on its center release a powerful cyclone, swallowing all the nearby insects while many more simply fell and twitched as if in pain.

When the pillar finally faded, the insects that were twitching all started to mutate into bigger forms that were smaller than adult humans, but close to human babies in size. It was then that a dark silhouette started to walk out of the hole where the pillar was as those very bugs flew towards them, and then congregated into some humongous insect mutant, which let out a sinister buzz as it took flight. Like before, the Gogmagogs were called, only for the insect to release some kind of poisonous breath that melted them before spreading towards the crops, and instantly suffocating any people unlucky enough to be within its range and then breathe it in. Once the large bug stopped exhaling...

"You shall call me... Beelzebub!" The insect ordered.

Finally, in the center of Mu, the tectonic plates and magnetic fields went wild and began to shatter, throwing everyone around from the earthquake it caused, and all of the magnetic rocks now being flung around like pinballs.

Not long after the dark pillar faded, a dark silhouette rose from the ground. They caused the gravity around the area to increase and further crush both the land and the people on it, crumpling the Gogmagogs into dust as they pulled rocks towards them until they were covered in a set of armor that made them resemble a golem made of living stone.

"How dare you weaklings insult Asmodeus by fighting back!" The silhouette screamed, full of rage at the slight.

Chaos soon reigned across the three continents.

Everyone who was still alive tried to fight back, with the Gogmagogs learning from the ones who had been destroyed and adapted to fighting in ways that let them have more of a chance against the three beings of chaos. At least... that was the intent, but only the Gogmagogs fighting on Lemuria had succeeded.

The people on Atlantis and Mu tried to flee as others fought, but their hopes died all too fast as Leviathan and Asmodeus overwhelmed them.

*"SMASH!"*

Raziel watched in horror as Atlantis and Mu were destroyed by their respective threat, leaving only the smallest traces in the ocean, where finding any proof that they truly existed was next to zero. The people of Lemuria all watched in horror at the destruction of both continents, especially as the three beings began to move and meet up with one another, implying it wouldn't be long before all three of them would try attacking Lemuria again, but this time as a group.

"Grab everything you have! I don't care if God said you could never use it, because it's life or death right now!" Raziel ordered.

He saw the shocked reactions everyone gave.

"I know, it sounds insane for me to say you can use them, but think about it... why didn't God make you destroy them in the first place? Because him saying not to use them was in actuality him saying they were only to be brought out as a last resort. This situation is exactly that." Raziel revealed.

And that was it.

The people of Lemuria immediately went to bring out their sealed technologies, while Raziel tightened his fists at the situation.

'I am all that stands between our peoples living or dying now...'

With all the chaos that was going on, the fact God and his fellow Angels hadn't arrived likely meant they couldn't arrive, based on the large pillar of darkness that devoured the Tower of Babel was still present. For all he knew, they were trapped at best... and potentially dead at worse. He really hoped it was the former, because if he was wrong?

No, he didn't want to even consider that result could be possible.

"Those who can't fight? Find any ships you still have, and start evacuating, now! We have to consider the possibility Lemuria will be destroyed and abandon it!" Raziel ordered.

As this happened, the trio of chaos planned.

"So, how much should we rough these pathetic fools before he finishes things off?" Leviathan asked.

"Why bother asking? We'll have all the fun we want till it feels right, and that'll do." Beelzebub stated.

"Yeah! Let's rip them apart!" Asmodeus agreed.

It wasn't long before Mecha-like machines along with other powerful weapons that made the Gogmagogs look like toys were brought out and began fighting the trio. This time it was clear that they wouldn't be able to just steamroll everyone like before, but would still be a threat.

Beelzebub summoned swarms of bugs to devour their food, ruin their crops so they couldn't replenish it, and spew poison into their water, while some of his insects attacked their technology from within. Leviathan flooded their lands while helping spread the ruined water, infecting and killing any animals that could have been used for meat. As for Asmodeus, he simply manipulated gravity to disorient them.

It seemed like a battle of attrition, with the winner being the side who could keep standing longest, but eventually? Raziel noticed something about the pillar of darkness that made one thing clear...

They never had a chance.

"I believe the time for playing with these fools is over, my loyal subjects."

A chill entered the air as Leviathan, Beelzebub, and Asmodeus all ceased attacking.

"This feeling... it can't be!" Raziel realized.

It was the same as the sealed orb of light.

The pillar of darkness finally vanished, and the last of it rose as a humanoid shape made of darkness, one that carried who Raziel recognized as Lilith.

"No! Don't tell me that the place the light was imprisoned was also-" He panicked.

Now it all made sense. He knew of Lilith's special ability, and how it was one of the few things besides God's own power that could have broken the energy prison containing it.

"Allow me to introduce myself, puny Angel and pathetic Humans, as the one who will end you today. I've chosen to name myself over something that should mean a good thing, and pervert it forever into a harbinger of death and destruction." The humanoid of darkness stated, raising his free hand into the air.

The darkness faded as it unveiled a man with silvery-white hair and six pairs of bat-like wings, but without their membranes, on his back.

"You may call me... Lucifer."

With the swing of his hand, the formerly imprisoned power that he was born from fired out of his hand, and struck the edge of Lemuria.

"Light of Ruin!"

Raziel panicked and immediately held out his hand, trying to make a magic circle that would shield everyone he could, right as it began.

Lemuria's entire landmass was drowned in blackness that had edges of white, burning across like a powerful flame that only destroyed.

"Game over." Lucifer smiled.

Raziel's efforts only helped a few ships get away, and despite what he did? The effects of Lucifer's attack still struck and did... something to them. Raziel soon felt himself blacking out, trying in vain to stay conscious and protect everyone he could.

In the end, the last thing he saw was Lucifer leaving, with Lilith in his arms.

Sometime later, Raziel gasped as he felt himself wake up and he sat up, only to scream in pain as a wound flared, getting the attention of another Angel.

"Raziel, stop!"

Raziel felt himself placed back on the bed, and panted before looking to see Raphael by his side, looking worried.

"Am I... am I back in Heaven?" He asked.

"Yeah, and we saw what happened. What we're quite sure you actually had to face off against on your own..." Raphael confirmed.

That left Raziel silent.

"Some good news? Despite all three continents sinking, there were a few ships that managed to get away, and they weren't attacked. We don't know how many will make it to land, but we've done all that we could. Though, there's also some bad news that comes with it." Raphael continued.

"What's the bad news?" Raziel inquired.

"Aside from one ship, who we could help as a result, the faith we're receiving... is now only from that one ship, and we don't know if it that will change." Raphael revealed.

"They... no longer believe in us?" Raziel said in horror.

Raphael said nothing at first, and then shook his head.

"No, worse. It's as if they never knew we existed. Somehow, despite you shielding them, their memories got irreparably damaged. Not even Father was able to fix it, so that one ship... is technically the only one that's still knows we and Father even exist." He clarified, closing his eyes.

Hearing that was much worse for Raziel to hear than his prior belief, and he was left speechless as a result of it.

"As for those monsters?" Raphael continued.

Raphael let out a breath, then opened his eyes.

"We surveyed the damage, and we can at least say we don't have to worry about them destroying anymore landmasses. They only managed to destroy the three they did because of where the prison of Lilith and... Lucifer, I believe he called himself, had been imprisoned left enough damage underneath each of them, and the surge of power Lilith allowed to form by freeing him to begin with. They're still threats, but not to the degree this whole even implied them to be, so now it's just a matter of how we deal with them."

Raziel still said nothing, which made Raphael realize that he likely wouldn't speak until the shock finally settled.

"Call me... if you need anything." He stated.

He soon left the room, and Raziel then cried.

Looking over the Pacific Ocean, which had been born of two oceans whose names were lost to the people of today that fused after the sinking of the three landmasses which had once acted as the walls dividing them, the Biblical God was shown hanging his head down in guilt.

That feeling from when Uriel made his suggestion was him trying to remember Lilith had been in the same area, and since he didn't bother to confirm that before taking the power that had become Lucifer...

"The whole event hurt the Biblical God more than any blade ever did, and he knew it was his fault. It was no secret to himself that he was flawed, but it was often hard to constantly remember his power had limits, and he could not see tomorrow, or far ahead."

"As a way to remind himself of his limitations, he decided only what remained of his people could refer to him as God, and from then on gave himself a name just like his Angels and Humanity had, with he and his Angels now referring to himself by the name of Yahweh, a name only a select few Humans would be allowed to know in years ahead, when Churches made to worship him and his teachings were founded."

"For the ships of the survivors who completely forgot him? Many failed to reach land and were lost to the ocean. The rest would survive, either making the new lands they arrived at their homes, or eventually going somewhere else, filling the world with different groups of cultures. This would show in the Bible, with the truth altered so Yahweh could let Humanity know he erred without directly saying it, as his Angels still needed faith to survive."

Meanwhile, in a land far beyond the reach of Humanity, the sight of Lucifer could be seen.

Standing beside him was Leviathan, Beelzebub, and Asmodeus in their human forms, while Lilith stood to the side, less involved with what they were planning and simply there as it was the only place she could really be now.

The world as a whole would never accept her as she was, not until the status quo was changed. A feat Lucifer may or may not be able to achieve, depending on his actions.

"Because of this day, Yahweh had been weakened."

"Lucifer had dealt a heavy blow to him, of course, but the Devil King was also smart enough to know he could not challenge the Lord of Heaven and win. At least not as he was now. He would prepare, creating the Devil race, and inspiring the stories of Demons across the world, in preparation for such a day. That day eventually led to a massive war across the world in the 14th Century, with results that echoed in the coming centuries."

"In the meantime, faith in new beings led to the rise of the other mythologies, some of which grew in power that was just as likely to scare Yahweh as Ophis once had. He never tried to challenge them or send a challenge, so he could never be certain of their strength, and in return no one else was in the mood to try... even though a few Gods seemed desired for fights beyond their own mythos."

Various regions of the world were shown as time passed, showing the rise and fall of nations.

It didn't take long before the various scenes went from thousands of years in the past from the time before Jesus' birth, to the thousands of years that became what was now known as the world that the people living today were familiar with.

The society and world they had come to know and call their home.

"And so, in the end? The answer to how Humanity began is both the ideas of Science and Magical are correct, for they began separate and then became intertwined. Though the latter half of events have been lost to their history and forgotten by almost all except a select few, with the more magical races limiting their overall involvement with Humanity, aware of how important their faith was."

"However, all of this is just greater history to another story that takes place in the world of today, and while the scale of events may never reach the same as what the distant past created? Sometimes the past is still present in the future, even if the scale of time is a mere fraction of what came before."

"For this very story began... with a mere daydreamer."

At that moment, the sound of cries was heard as the scene focused on a single Hospital in Japan, from a place known as Kuoh Town, where a mother held their newborn child.

One who would have many adventures ahead of her.

With this, most of the past has been revealed.

First thing I'd like to clarify is that all of the instances of centered text are meant to be like words placed in in a historical record, and not someone talking.

Second thing is, for the newer readers, all of the story important parts of this are in the middle area, where said historical record text was absent, since the rest was more of me altering details due to how I changed the Tower of Babel legend.

Lastly, there are a few cases where some details veteran readers or those who've come here after reading Ch 5 of the original will notice don't match up with what Rias said. This is intentional, as most of the people who were actually present for this event have since died, or only saw things from a single perspective, like with Raziel, so what the people of today know about this story is mere a recounting with around... I'd say at least maybe 90% accuracy.

Overall? This is basically the origin story for the Devil race in Daydreamer Dragon's lore.

Another thing for newer readers to know is, while this is a huge event in the lore? It doesn't really have the same kind of weight as the Great War or the Devil's Civil War, and mostly exists to show there's more to the world of the story than Ishie being female and being a daydreamer, rather than a pervert, though how that applies overall will stay a secret till I make progress with the revisions.

With all of that said, I hope you all enjoyed this look into one of the story's major events, and hope the official first chapter will grab your interest when it's finally out.

Until next time everyone, and stay awesome! ^^
