In her prison, she was remained frozen and crystalized. Being stuck here, she felt like time was slipping away even though she was a goddess and worship by the users of light. She wondered where it all went wrong...

Oh right. When she tried to do a clean slate on the World of Trophies and was defeated by that duality and the pink star warrior. The idea of a duality just made her sick. In her perfect world, light and darkness would have never interacted as such. Granted she did take those certain users of darkness at her disposal but still.

She would have vowed revenge if she wasn't forced to fuse with that duality and follow her destiny.

CRACK*

CRACK*

CRACK*

The moment her crystal prison shattered, she felt her wings ruffle for the first time in the eons for what it feels like. Though she had no face, her orb flare up in anger as she saw the source of her freedom.

"You."

"Get over it, oh light goddess."

"If I had my strength fully, I would obliterate you like I should have all those eons ago during my first crusade."

"But you couldn't. And plus if I recall, I was immune to your little rave party."

She noticed how her savior was lacking in their brightness. "Why did you free me? You don't seem like the one to have others do your bidding for you."

"Times have been tough. My powers aren't exactly what they used to be. Especially since I was taken to this crystal prison dimension and split from you and those other threats."

"... Is HE still locked up?"

"Yes, so keep your wings together and get your army."

"What are you-"

"Listen. My previous employers have failed at their attempts of bringing down those 'hosts.'"

"Hosts?"

"Long story. Anyway, here's the deal, you do your little light show crusade again, capture every single host, and prevent any resistance if there is any. Then I will promise to use my light as long as you reign."

"... You promise?"

"Please. As long as I'm in this dimension, I can't even create a flicker of fire."

She thought it over. With her "savior" at her side, she could keep an eye on her plus they were very powerful.

"... Very well. You have yourself a deal." With that she flickered away from the crystal prison dimension.

The so-called savior merely smirked, before turning their attention to the next future ally.

No matter, how this turned out, their powers would return and raise again to show those supposed 'hosts' true power.

From Smash Mansion, the Announcer was busy monitoring the World of Trophies for anything. He was rather bored as he used his clairvoyance to seek anything that would be a threat but he was beginning to strain his ability.

"This is rather boring," the Announcer said, "not a single enemy insight. Not since Master Core's demise and the little threats in between."

All of a sudden, the orb began to get a massive headache, as if something just broke through reality.

"Urk!" Announcer shouted in pain, "What was that?!" Taping into his clairvoyance, he began to scan multiple areas.

The jungle. The mountain. The forest. The badlands. Everywhere...

Before getting a single image. One image he had not seen for a long time.

Immediately, he sent a distress signal through his communication devices for the hosts.

It was a serious matter and all hands were on deck.

"And ready," Matt said cupping his hand before throwing a pair of dice on the game board. The dice stopped and landed on a 12 before moving his figurine to the center of the board and won.

"Oh yeah!" He pumped his fist in the air before doing a small victory dance.

"Oh well," Luis, Matt's brother, said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"So close," Yen, Matt's best friend, pouted.

"If I hadn't gone to jail, I would have won!" Wyatt, the sometimes friend of Matt, snarled.

"Less time I checked, you cheated by saying it was a 16." Darrin, the muscular one of the group, recalled.

"But it was!" Wyatt retorted.

Everyone present rolled their eyes. Wyatt was known for being a cheat and greedy during numerous times.

BEEP! BEEP!

Everyone checked their communicators, which happened to reach across dimensions, and getting the message, each nodded before finding a secluded place to teleport.

Across the city, others were getting the same message on their communicators and where on the move.

After everyone arrived at Smash Mansion, Matt took notice that everyone from the future tournament was here. Being leader of the Smash Bros, the host of Mario, addressed the Announcer.

"What's the issue?"

The orb spoke in a fearful tone, "Another threat has return..."

"What can you tell us about them?" Luke, the host of Link, asked.

"One that once eradicated the entire roster."

"And that's reassuring," Spencer, the host of Solid Snake, remarked.

"Pft. This reminds me too much of Tabuu," Brian, the host of Bowser, snarled. Just the idea of Subspace returning annoyed him.

The Brawl fighters all nodded in agreement. Subspace was one of the worst events, compared to Master Core's attack and Fortress. Phil, the host of Pikachu, was taken hostage along with Gabe, the host of Mr. Game & Watch. Brian and Garrett, the host of Ganondorf, were also ambushed by the army and forced into their false forms. Their spirits, though, liked the idea of having their bodies back, even though it lasted only a while. Ralph, the host of R.O.B., flinched at the name making him remember what he had done. Wyatt, the host of Wario, though merely dismissed it while Dana, the host of King Dedede remembered being manipulated before finding out the truth. Albeit his methods of warning the fighters was not the best with both Luis, the host of Luigi, and kidnapped/stealing Wyatt's ride.

Each Brawl fighter had their own tales but still even reverting to their trophy state from the Off Waves, they did not want to experience a blast like that again.

"I assure you, Tabuu is not the cause," the Announcer informed, "The disturbance is on the Craggy Outlook."

"That's the same place we met when we defeated that Wire Frame," Finn, the host of Fox McCloud, recalled.

"You must go immediately!" the Announcer urged, haste present in his voice. The gathered Smashers, odd and new, all agreed and began using their own methods of getting to the location.

Though Matt had a few questions about whoever they would be fighting. Perhaps after they beat whoever, the Announcer would divulge in the facts.

Reaching Smash Mansion's garage, select fighters got their figurines (miniature vehicles/aircrafts like from "Ready Player One") and threw them onto the floor before they expanded into their full size.

"The Halberd is able for those who do not have a reliable source of transportation," Karl, the host of Meta Knight, informed. A large majority of the team all board before the Halberd took off.

Matt had threw down his figurine of the Odyssey and boarded with Luis, Peyton, and Diana before joining Brian's Airship in the air. Kyle, the host of Kirby, generated a Warp Star before taking to the skies as well. Finn and Frank's Airwings zoomed into the sky with Wally's Wolfen behind them. Carlos, the host of Captain Falcon, reeved his engine in the Falcon Flyer and threw a wink at his girlfriend, Skylar. The host of Samus* merely rolled her eyes and jetted off in Samus' Gunship with Sophia, the host of Zero Suit Samus, in toll. The Holocate was being stubborn but it began working and took off with Owen and Andrew in the spaceship. Kade took flight with the Flying Krock.

After the aircraft fighters left, Shawn immediately dashed ahead, knowing the location. Michael, Zoey, and Penelope took the liberty of warping to their intended location. Yen, the host of Yoshi, fished a Blue Shell out and grew wings before flying alongside Ray, Mateo, Peter, and David. Rachel, the host of Rosalina, levitated away with a light blue sprinkle behind her trail. Both Bailey and Bella used Crow Within and followed behind the crowd. Sydney and Garrett summoned portals from Phazon and darkness respectively and walked through. And lastly, Nathan and Logan channel PK Teleport and made it to their location.

Arriving at the Craggy Outlook, the warpers made it first before Sydney and Garrett walked out their portals and the flyers arrived. After everyone arrived, the sight they saw made some of them jaw drop while others had shocked expressions on their face.

An army of Master Hands floated in the distance behind or in front of a sun with rainbow wings.

Matt couldn't help but trace those wings back to his dream. When he first saw himself surrounded by the same team of heroes and villians. He pushed those thoughts away and steeled his resolve, ready to battle.

Finn, snapping himself out of shock, made the call, "Don't let a single one get away!" And to add emphasize, he pulled his blaster out. Other hosts nodded and readied their weapons and abilities.

"We each need to take out about ten..." Mason, the host of Marth, deduced.

Zoey spoke wisdom with her words, "Stow your fear. It's now or never!"

Peter, being the optimist, declared, "We'll win this. I know we will!"

The Master Hands began to peel, shedding their glove and revealing a blue energy that began to transfer into the orb.

While others were pondering what was happening, Stefan, the host of Shulk, soon gained a vision.

The sight brought horror: every fighter was to be consumed from a blast.

Grunting, he turned and shouted to gathered fighters, "WE NEED TO GO!"

The warning came one second early as the orb became a black hole. For a moment there was no sound, then the hole unleashed countless beams of light with one purpose: to consume.

Stefan was the first to go and Finn sped out of the way using Fox Illusion, but was captured when another struck him before he had the chance to use his Reflector.

Luke raised his Hylian Shield, blocking a few beams, while swinging his Master Sword. He was knocked back three times before a fourth one dazed him and left him open to one. Skylar emptied her cannon, firing every shot she had before getting wiped away.

Zoey watched as her boyfriend was vaporized and made note of one beam that came her way. Seeing a few deflected, she casted Nayru's Love as a counter with Michael at her side, who used Confusion in an effort to deflect the incoming beams. It proved futile as they were taken.

Seeing the beams of light and six of their allies gone, each host made the choice to flee or fight back.

Owen and Andrew ran back to the Holocate but got tagged, along with Paisley. Garrett fought back, swinging his great-sword through one but was taken. Sydney floated and avoided a few beams and fired a few Phazon blasts before getting tagged like her doppelgänger.

Phil and his cousin, Perri, blitzed away from the cascade. Running on all fours, the hosts of Pikachu and Pikachu Libre had the light right on their tails. Perri was tagged and Phil picked up the pace, using Quick Attack to speed away. Shawn saw his trouble and reached out to help Phil...

but he was tagged. Shawn merely cursed himself before getting tagged himself due to slowing down.

Bella and Bailey avoided four beams with Bat Within but reverted back at the worst time and were mowed down. Lewis vanished out of the way with one using Double Team but was too exhausted for the beam intended for Grant, who leapt of the way and caught the former on accident. Grant immediately regretted the action as a beam of light scooped him from behind. Stephanie, the host of Sheik, performed Vanish but left her in free fall and was tagged.

Paco devoured some Power Pellets, growing to his spirit's 2D form, and Gabe morphed into his Octopus to do some damage. It proved a bit effective with the host of PAC MAN eating beams but ran out of time and was consumed. Gabe lasted a bit longer, using his tentacles to bat away beams but like Paco, was defeated.

Wyatt took the cowardly way and ran away from the fight. A beam noticed the host of Wario retreating and consumed him. Wyatt then appeared unscathed and perfectly fine. With this fact now in mind, he ran back over to the fight and rushed in head first before multiple beams tagged him.

Parker sent out his brothers, hoping they would flee but they shook their heads, saying they are with him to the end. With tears in his eyes, Parker commanded a Triple Finish with all their power. Charles unleashed Fire Blast, Ivan generated a Solar Beam, and Sean fired a Hydro Pump but the attack proved ineffective and mowed the host of Red and his Pokémon down.

Brian saw the brothers go down and, after beckoning for his little brother and cousins to flee, unleashed his own Fire Breath but was taken too. Carlos ran to the Falcon Flyer and Sophia was right behind him before a light beam tagged her. Carlos hopped in to his seat but was also captured shortly before landing.

Wally wasn't one to follow orders, which is why he fired lasers at a few beams in his Wolfen. Ray and Mateo flew with the host of Wolf O'Donell and fired Plasma Screams back to back but the villains were captured in one swoop. The same beams soon reached Frank, who was in his Airwing, and was taken.

Matt couldn't help to be mortified as the light was consuming the hosts nonstop. He witness Peyton and Diana get vaporized and Daniel too, as he was rather contemplating something. His mortification became anger when he witnessed his brother and best friend get caught as they were trying to save him. Matt, now fueled by anger, generated fireballs in his hands and attempted to destroy the beams. But it proved fruitless as he was taken by the light.

Sebastian and Robert unleashed everything in their arsenal with Ryder and Kev at their side, firing Hadokens only to be captured. Cyrus and Cameron joined in on the barrage, placing up Big Guard for their protection, but like the others also captured. Being newcomers, Olivia and Brody inked the ground in an effort to hide but the light destroyed the landscape, taking the host of the Inklings with them.

Nick and Paige held each other as Phoebe and Jordan huddled together in behind Nathan and Logan. The host of Ness became determined and raised PK Magnet followed by the host of Lucas putting up a PSI Magnet of his own. The beam of light was not absorbed and the six were gone.

Mason, Isaac, and Roger called upon Warp Magic but failed as the light got them. Rebecca, Richard, Calvin, and Laura all feared the worst as they hugged each other. Caleb and Carter sprouted their wings and took flight, firing Dragon Fang Shots but like the others, gone.

Miles was able to warp himself, Todd, and Leo away to a nearby cliff but the light swerved towards their location. The host of Mega Man fired his Mega Buster several times in an attempt to stall as Leo was fumbling with his Ocarina to play a song but due to the stress, he was playing off key. Todd, though, fired his Hookshot and avoided the wave. His course was interrupted when his Hookshot lost its grip and sent the host of Toon Link falling and captured.

In the air, Peter and David took flight as fast as they could with Penelope hovering behind them before coming to a stop. Turning around, she erected Reflect-Barrier and shielded herself for about ten seconds before getting blasted. Peter watched in shock, causing him to stop his flight which David beckoned him to come but the two hosts of the angels were swallowed alive.

In his box, Spencer hid with Irene, having grown a bond for the host of Isabelle, and shielded her as the wave washed over them.

Ignacio fueled his internal fire abilities and unleashed a Fire Blast to defend himself but was covered in light. Ben, Steven, and Gillian readied their respective weapons and went to town, only to be absorbed with Micah, as he was running behind them. Kade was lumbering behind his rival, Darrin with Dillion on his back far ahead as he was running. The host of Donkey Kong looked just in time to see the host of King K. Rool taken and the light directing its course for him and his brother. With a heavy heart, Darrin chucked Dillion up and the host of Diddy Kong watched as his thrower get consumed.

Dillion wasted no time and strapped his Rocketbarrel jet packs and flew towards the sky. Rachel joined him in his flight with a yellow Luma but they were taken just like the others. Ralph tapped into his cybernetics and fired Robo Beam in an effort to defend himself, which ended with getting captured.

Beau and his cousins watched as the light show came their way and were too scared to fight back, ending up with them being taken. Victor and Violet ran with Tisa and William as Diego laid down some cover fire with his NES Zapper in an effort to fight back, but his duck partner -that only he could see- was ruining his concentration with the nagging of fleeing. The beam crashed through all five fighters.

Back in the sky, Karl flapped his wings and Dana floated away while swinging his hammer to deflect any incoming beams. Kyle, the host of Kirby, rode his Warp Star as the lights were beginning to hone on him. The pinkette planned to fly in and save the remaining two fighters, but two waves consumed his comrades and tears began to fall from his eyes.

While he knew it was better to flee than fight, Kyle wanted to punish the orb more than anything now. But for now, he needed a plan. The Warp Star responded to his emotion and pushed the host of Kirby to the limit before literally warping the host out of existence. The beams did not stop their pursuit and laid waste to the universe once again.

The Announcer had used his clairvoyance again and watched helpless as the hosts were taken one by one before heading towards his location. In a last ditch effort, he summoned his strength and prevented Galeem's light show from blasting the Mansion and HQ.

All over the universe of the World of Trophies, Galeem's reign would begin once more...

A/N: Hello. I thought I would give the infamous World of Light story a go. Will mostly follow the game but I might add a few changes here and there. This was inspired by Krosshair's "World of Light" and all the OCs/hosts are mine.

For those who do not know, a host functions like how spirits do in World of Light. The only difference is that a Host is a host of a Fighter spirit. Alternate costumes also count: Pikachu Libre, Leaf, Meta Ridley, female Villager, male Wii Fit Trainer, Alph, female Corrin, female Robin, 1st game Bayonetta, Advent Children Cloud and the Koopalings.

*Samus and Zero Suit Samus have separate Fighter spirits, so they have two hosts.
