So... Yeah, that's that.

For new readers, welcome to my new MGQ fanfiction. For the old readers, here you have the new rewrite of Arrogant Love, which will hopefully look better than before.

You know what they say, third time's the charm... Let's hope that this time I will actually know what I am doing.

Anyway, less talk, more reading. I hope you enjoy this short prologue, and by the way, the future chapters will range between 1k to 2k words.

Prologue

The job of a Goddess is a difficult one.

Up in the high Heavens, a blonde angel of indescribable beauty stood on the top of a massive temple with her bare feet, watching over a full-body sized mirror magically floating in front of her.

She must watch over humankind,

However, the mirror didn't reflect her beautiful image on the glass, but rather showed a completely different place, reflecting a completely different person. That person was a purple-haired young boy that was fixing his bed with a jovial expression on his childish face.

And consequently, she must answer their prayers.

Seeing the cheerful state of the boy, the angel couldn't help but show a sympathetic smile of her own. But she didn't linger her gaze on that boy for long, before she casually swiped her finger on the right, and the mirror's image switched up to show another person.

She must also protect them from the forces of evil.

The person in the mirror, this time, was a monster taking the shape of a sensual human-like woman, with the lower body resembling a large red snake tail, and a pair of black wings extending from her waist which let her fly through the sky. Her skin was blue and her long hair was white. And despite being made up of such contrasting colors, there was a certain seductive atmosphere around her that would knock down any normal man.

But she is not a Guardian, she is a Goddess, an idol for her followers.

The angel swiped her finger again, changing the mirror's image into that of a very young child with blonde hair, but also showing monstrous characteristics like a pair of fox ears on top of her head, and nine fluffy fox tails behind her back.

To aid humankind, she can only teach them how to protect themselves.

With another swipe of her finger, the image changed once again and this time it revealed to her the figure of another woman, albeit carrying a completely human shape. She had long blonde hair, a pair of blue piercing eyes, and a beautiful body which was covered in a natural green dress.

So that she can stop them from being too dependent on her.

Another swipe, another image. This time, it showed the image of a red-haired woman with matching red eyes, wearing a white lab coat over a gray sweater that did little to hide her voluptuous chest.

Beside that, she must also warn them of impending great dangers.

The next image on the mirror showed the angel yet another blonde woman, but unlike the previous one, this woman had glaring red eyes, and she was dressed in a cute-looking blue outfit while holding a teddy bear on her lap.

But among them, there is one mission that she must accomplish at all costs…

This was the sixth swipe, and the seventh image appeared on the mirror. This time, there was a cloaked large figure wielding two bone-white sabers, swinging them both into a dance of swords that decimated the group of monsters surrounding him. And yet, in the next moment, the cloaked man blinked away from existence and disappeared from the mirror's screen.

And that is to give guidance to the chosen ones…

The last image revealed by the mirror, the eighth person, was that of another young man who was resting inside a moving wagon, taking a relaxed position while sitting against his rucksack.

The young man had unusually long black hair which had been tied up in a ponytail that heavily resembled that of a martial artist, yet he was still equipped with a set of heavy armor made up of emerald dragon scales, which gave him the image of a strong warrior.

So that they can change the world for the better.

Once the angel saw those eight people of different races, gender, and ideals, she snapped her finger, and in that moment, the mirror's magical image disappeared, showing only her beautiful reflection.

The angel's face carried an untold beauty, decorated with ocean-blue eyes and holding long, blonde silk-like hair on the top of her head. She carried some resemblance to the fourth person shown on the mirror, but there were some differences that distinguished both of them.

The angel… No, the Goddess closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before she slowly turned around and walked away from the mirror.

The mirror itself vanished in magical particles, leaving the temple empty if one didn't count the Goddess, and the angelic being herself suddenly spread out her snow-white feathered wings and took flight, abandoning her temple high in Heaven and flying outside.

Suddenly, on the mortal realm, from the top of an extremely tall ivory tower in the center of the world, a golden shooting star flew outside and traced a bright line across the clear blue sky towards the south.

Needless to say, that shooting star was actually the Goddess who flew over her world below Heaven, admiring the beautiful world of magic and heroes, the great world inhabited by humans and monsters, and yet also the strange world where if you get raped, you lose.

She rarely descended from Heaven by herself, but today is a special day: Her birthday.

And to celebrate her birthday, she will accomplish one of the many tasks that a Goddess like her must do, and baptize a new generation of Heroes who will slay the Monster Lord of the current era.

However, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of worry when she thought back on the eight important figures she just checked out, more specifically, the last two people that appeared in the mirror.

Now that the gears of fate have been set in motion, it has become a certainty that the world will drastically change in the short future, but the problem is whether the change will be positive or not.

Will the Monster Lord finally cease to exist and let humankind thrive under her guidance? Will the world be completely wiped out because of a slight error in her judgement? Or will a new, unknown era begin?

Even for a Goddess like her, such a drastic alteration managed to make her feel a hint of dread.

*SMACK!*

All of a sudden, she had been blindsided on her face by a black blur coming out of nowhere!

And done! Here's the prologue, with all the main cast of the first volume of the story being introduced one after another. I hope you liked this small piece, and see you next time with another chapter.
