Five Years Lost
Chapter one: Aunt Emily and Henry Time
"Are you sure, Em?" JJ asked for the fourth time. Emily smiles. "Yes, go have fun with Will and his coworkers. Me and Henry will be fine. We'll play, eat, take a bath then sleepy time for Henry and wine time for auntie Emmy." She explains. "Or I could stay home, and you could go out and meet a man!" JJ suggested. Emily chuckles. "Will, your beautiful girlfriend is ready! Make sure she has fun and have a few drinks!" Emily yells. JJ sighs and walks out of the room to get Henry. Will chuckles while coming down the stairs. "Yeah, I'll make she has a good time. Thanks again for watching Henry." Emily smiles. "Of course, I love hanging out with him." She replies. JJ comes back carrying Henry, who was playing with his mothers' hair. "Call if you have any questions, Em." JJ tells her.
Emily smiles and nods. "Of course, JJ, go have fun."
After another ten minutes of saying goodbye to Henry, Will finally managed to get his girlfriend out the door and into his truck. "I appreciate you coming out tonight. I know you still feel anxious when leaving him." Will says while holding her hand. JJ smiles. "No problem. It's nice to be able to go out and spend time with you. I just feel bad whenever I leave him. We work so much, and I know Henry is most comfortable with us and Alyssa." JJ explains. "Yeah, I understand. We're lucky to have found such an amazing nanny for him…. Emily will be fine. She's babysat before." Will comments while stopping at a red light. "Yeah, I know. She's amazing with him, she's great with all children in general. Me and Pen have always said that she would a wonderful mother... but her taste in men is questionable… it's awful." She explains. Will chuckles. "Leave her alone, she seems happy." "Well, I would but-" "But what?" Will interrupted. "But I know she wants kids. We've talked about it. I mean she's going to be forty this year." JJ explains. Will shrugs. "I mean things change; plans change. There are different options for her if she does want kids. IVF, surrogates, adoption, she might be able to carry her own baby one day if she wanted to." He explains. "Yeah, good point, I just want her to be happy."
Will smiles. "Can we stop talking about Prentiss and talk about how smoking hot you look tonight?" JJ smiles. "Aww, well you don't look too bad yourself handsome."
After a few more minutes, Will pulls into the parking lot of the bar. He quickly puts the car into park, turn off the engine and leans over to kiss JJ. "I hope you have fun tonight. I expect to dance with you and show you off." He tells her. JJ smiles again. "I'm sure we can work something out." She replies with a wink. "I'm looking forward to being with you and getting to know your team better. I know we spend more time with mine." She tells him. "It's okay. I really like everyone on your team. I like the closeness of your group." Will reptiles.
Will jumps out of his truck and runs to JJs side, opening the door and helps her out. He gives her another kiss then holds her hand while they walk into the bar. Tonight, is going to be a fantastic night.
