Growing Up

Authors Note: This is my first Rayearth fic so please be kind. I love Ascot/Umi so that is what this is. Please any comments would be wonderful. I want to know that someone is reading this. Now on to the story.

Ascot sighed. He was getting so tired of being a child. A long time ago he had decided to stay in this form. He thought that he would be able to have more fun around his monster friends, but now he was just getting sick of it. he was sick of being treated like a nine year old. Sure he knew that Caldina didn't meen to treat him that way, but she did. He had met Caldina a few months after he decided to keep that form. He'd been like her little brother for nine years now. She didn't seem to notice that he never aged but if she did she sure didn't show it.
'Maybe I should go back to my true form.' Ascot mused. It had been so long, he didn't even know what that was anymore.
He tried to convince himself that he wanted to grow up to be seen as his true age, but he knew that wasn't the only reason. He wanted to go back to his true form because of Her. 'Her.' he thought dreamily.
He had tried to ignore his feelings for her for so long. It was after she told him that he was their friend too that he started to feel something for her. Or was it before that? He had forgotten. All he knew was that every time she was gone he felt empty and his heart ached. It was like torture. It took a while before he would admit to himself that he had fallen in love with Umi, that Magic Knight of the Sea.
She was why he wanted to go back to his normal form. He wanted her to love him. Of anyone in Cephiro he wanted her to notice him as the age he was and not as a child. If he was back to normal then he would have a chance at getting her love.
He sighed and willed himself to grow to his true form. Slowly he felt that change in his form. It was really a very strange feeling. He was so used to his prier form that the new one was very strange. However he smiled to himself. It would be worth it for Umi to love him back. He would do anything for her even if that meant changing his form.
Ascot opened his green eyes and examined his new form. It was that of a very tall brown haired boy. He was muscular and lean. Ascot liked his new form and prayed that Umi would as well.
