This is an idea that came to me in a dream once, All rights to ugh... "Disney", Dana Terance, and the youtube channel The Warp Zone
DISNEY CORPORATE HQ, WAITING ROOM, 2022
Dana adjusted her glasses while reading the case file she had made herself while her boyfriend Alex comforted her.
"Hey everything will be fine don't worry, I mean how terrifying can he be?"
Alex soon got his answer as an executive from Netflix rushed out of the door. "Ok... maybe this won't be too bad?"
Dana then took a deep breath before standing up and walking to the reception stand. "Excuse me, I've been waiting for almost four hours now so if you could..."
The receptionist then pressed an intercom button. "Mr. Richards you have a Miss Terance waiting."
Soon the door opened Dana then walked in holding her files as she sat down in front of the Disney executive who was currently moving piles of cash off his desk. "Go on speak." And Dana did.
"Well, you see I'm here to talk about you and the rest of the board talking about my creation without inviting me."
"Uh, can you be more specific on what creation cause we've made a billion classics at this point?" Dana then handed him the file as he flipped through it. "Oh yeah well here's the thing it's not part of our "New brand"."
"New brand?" Richard then cleared his throat. "I mean within our target age group, you know the little ones." "You decided to air on the Disney channel and not XD?"
"What's XD again?" Dana rolled her eyes. "Fine how about just giving me ONE more season and airing it on streaming..." "Yeah no." "You did it with The Ghost and Molly McGee, why not..."
"Dana... you aired it way before our service became a thing and what's the point? Your story is finished." "It's not I still have at least a season's worth of..."
"Hold that thought," Richard said as a large pile of money came from a pipeline as he smelled it. "You know what that smell is?" "What?"
"That's the smell of the best Marvel/Sony deal ever, and answer this who gave your boyfriend the go-ahead to air his idea?" "You." "And who gave you the budget for yours?"
Dana then slammed her hands on the table. "People still like the show, cosplay, fanart, maybe some mature fanfics... but all that is a sign that people still like it and want to see more now if excuse me I still have a few specials to air and a graphic novel to make." She said before standing up and walking out the door. "Fine, then your fired."
Dana's eyes widened. "Excuse me?" "And according to this... VERY heavy manual..."
Richard then struggled to pull a large rulebook from under his desk before opening it and flipping the pages and stopping at one. "Should creator/s ever violate their contract then all said creator/s's creation is given to Disney effective immediately, and since it's not part of the "Brand" then..."
The executive then took Dana's file and placed it in a paper shredder before slamming the button a few times as everything she worked on was now nothing but scraps of paper which Dana quickly snatched and tried to organize but everything was all mixed up. "Do you know what happens when a show gets canceled with an unfinished story?!"
Boiling Isles
The island's usual sky had suddenly turned chalk white with pencil-drawn clouds and a few buildings were also like it as Luz and Eda looked at each other in worry. "Eda what's happening?" I don't know but I don't like it one bit."
