A Traveller's Journey

Prologue
I have been meaning for years to get back into writing a Pokemon story again that would be recurring and what I used to write back in the day was categorise itself into science fiction but unfortuately it was all lost to the biggest problem I had back in the day.
Writer's Block.
I literally ran out of progress and in doing so I just lost motivation and it died... but it kept coming back to me so I figured what if I wrote this and started off small, make it a Pokemon Trainer kind of journey ya know those kinds of basics like fight trainers, take on 8 gym leaders, face the Elite 4 and the Champion but add elements from the Anime so you get these elite trainers that are like best of the best.
So what you are reading now is that return to that concept except it's not going to be going off the rails nor will it involve outside forces as the original idea was going to involve... no this time the threat will be containable but more threatening as I originally had portrayed.
Without further ado, let's now reintroduce and restart A Traveller's Journey.
((And this will be set 2 years after Heart Gold/Soul Silver.))
/Flashback/
A light brightly shows a book on a desk, this book wasn't just any other... it was very large and had multiple pages on it, a single title was shown on the front cover.
A Traveller's Journey.
The book then opened up and at the first page was something written.
'My name is Harudo Kashimata and this book is my entire journey, my whole life and essentially how I became the very best... it is something I fought for many times, went to many regions to prove myself to the world that I earnt the right to be World Champion and fought many rivals along the various regions with so many of them that I feel proud to call my close friends.'
A picture of several people was inserted below the paragraph showing off various males and females all posing for a photograph that many felt would last a lifetime.
'All journeys have a beginning and mine is no exception so I figured it was high time I told how it all began.'
A new page was then shown with a picture of a serene looking town was shown.
'I was born in Lavender Town to parents that loved me just as equally as I had loved them... my mother worked at the Volunteer House looking after abandoned and orphaned Pokemon alongside Mr. Fuji whilst my father was one of the caretakers that looked after the Pokemon Tower, the town's most notable landmark.'
'I worked part time jobs looking after some of the Pokemon at the Volunteer House when my mother had to take me along but I was eager to help... she and Mr. Fuji always wondered why I was able to calmly settle a situation down between two hotheaded Pokemon and how I was able to bring a orphaned Pokemon out of it's shell without too much trouble... truth is I don't know either but one of my earliest memories might of been a factor.'
/Flashback began to occur to where a dockside town now appeared with a young boy holding hands with his parents during happy times./
'When I was 4-5 years old... we were all in Vermillion Town on a day out on the SS Anne where we all were on the docks waiting for the ship arrive when I saw a bright light of some kind rush past me and normally a young child is always distracted by bright lights... I ran off faster before my parents could call me back thinking that it was dangerous to run along the docks thinking I could fall into the sea.'
/The young Harudo rushing off following the bright light until it disappeared over a truck that was randomly parked there but the young boy looked around thinking the light had gone and figured to search all over... and then he looked under the truck to discover a pair of bright blue eyes looking at him./
'Huh?'
/Harudo was immediately scared of the blue eyes that looked at him and stepped back but then the figure that owned the blue eyes got out of under the truck was not an animal but it looked like a pink cat with small arms and a very large tail and cocked it's head sideways in curiosity./
Mew?
'What I didn't know at the time was that was the first ever encounter I had with the mythical Pokemon Mew as I inadvertingly found it's hiding spot whilst following that bright light but when you are roughly 4-5 years old I didn't know what a Pokemon was so I said literally the first thing that came to mind.
"KITTY!"
Mew's eyes then blinked before it then smiled and did a spin before thinking about something before he looked once again at the young boy that it curiously took the time to find it although it was technically a rest for the day before it resumed its travels to unknown parts and thinking this human may have a future that may have use for him... behind this curiosity it can also make decisions and it's eyes glowed pink having come up with a reward.
Mew.
The young Harudo then glowed pink briefly before Mew decided to fly away quickly into the distance which made the young boy sad but then a voice that he knew was approaching him quickly.
"HARRY!"
It was his father and he was extremely relieved and also extremely cross with his wayward son.
"Papa you missed Kitty!"
"You shouldn't be running off after strange things son, what happened if you fell into the sea..."
"But I didn't..."
"I know you didn't Harry but please don't do run off like that again... now let's get back to your mother before she decides to have kittens."
"Mommy has Kitties?"
And that was the end of the encounter, I went back to normality after that but that encounter was to change my life because what happened from that gave me the ability to talk to Pokemon like they were regular human beings... that might be why I was the kid for the job.
Fate however had other plans.
However it all changed when I was 10 as two days before I was scheduled to go to Professor Oak's place in Pallet Town and choose my first official starting Pokemon then tragedy struck as a former Team Rocket grunt was driving away from the law and had a very nasty accident involving another car and both said grunt and occupants were killed.
The occupants though were both my mother and my father, I was literally shaken with grief and I wasn't able to go ahead with normal 10 year olds did and it took me the best part of 2 years to recover and by then it was too late to even consider going on a journey so I decided to take over mother's job at the Volunteer House and stayed there for a few years.
The trauma of losing one's parents was softened by the ability to understand Pokemon speech and to talk back as well... didn't have positive experiences though, some kids made fun of me when i was going through school but that didn't last generally long as eventually I got ignored by those that bullied.
However it was the insistance and loving care that my aunt and uncle provided since that night got me through the last few years and it was they that persuaded me to retake the theory work for Pokemon Battling and I went back to Trainer School since the league was normally against older people beginning their journeys, however they knew of what happened to me and left it at that.
So I learnt the lessons, read the books, attended the seminars and watched the actual battles with a very keen mind that my teachers immediately noticed within the first few months that I was really gifted and they questioned why was I even in school in the first place.
Two Weeks later after I did my theory exam, I was summoned to the headmasters office where he presented me with my certificate saying that I had actually so far advanced enough that I graduated way before everyone else did and that they were able to give me a way out much earlier than planned.
I didn't mind obviously because my aunt and uncle were so happy for me that we ended up celebrating that night and as soon as my 16th birthday happened... my uncle was able to get me a gift that spurred me to where I am right now, he got me some empty pokeballs.
/Harudo had a present laid out before him... surrounding him were his Uncle Chris, his Aunt Pauline and of course Mr. Fuji were there alongside several co-workers and friends./
/"Here you go Henry lad, I figured this was something I could get you since you graduted Trainer's School."/
/Harudo then opened the present and inside there were a box that when opened up were 12 freshly new Pokeballs that shined in the light./
/"Uncle Chris..."/
/"I know what you are going to say Henry but I know that I was going to give you these as soon as you graduated and I think your mother and father would of been proud of you if they were here..."/
/"Yes dear I think he gets what you mean... which leads me into giving you my birthday present to you this year Henry... this is from me and your uncle./
/Aunt Pauline handed over a couple of bags that had ribbons on them with a smaller box that was wrapped up and as the young man opened them... they were revealed to be a set of clothes that had his favourite colors of red and blue with a white hat alongside what seemed to be a necklace of some kind./
/"What are these Aunt Pauline?"/
/"These are your new trainer clothes that I spotted whilst I was in town a couple of weeks ago, I knew that one day you was going to go out there in the world so I bought them ready for the day."/
/"But I haven't decided to leave..."/
/"You have been so faithful to this town my boy that you haven't decided to become a Pokemon Trainer is something that we can't ignore anymore... it was something me and your guardians have been discussing as of late."/
/Mr Fuji who is currently Harudo's boss at the Volunteer House decided to voice his opinion./
/"But who is going to look after the Pokemon at the house sir?"/
/"My boy, there are many volunteers now working at the house that you will be able to go on your journey, I know how difficult it was when your parents were killed in that crash but they would of wanted you to see the world for yourself and for you to become a master... I know you are talented enough to begin your journey."/
/"Well... I guess it has to be time now, hasn't it?"/
Harudo literally felt that it was time to leave Lavender Town and to see the world.
Harudo Kashimata was now fully dressed up in his new trainer clothes, his shiny new backpack holding on his left shoulder was currently at the last place before he decided to leave... he was visiting the graves of both parents as he felt that he wouldn't be back in Lavender Town for a while.
"Mother... Father... I've decided that I must go out in the world, I've been here for long enough... and I know the both of you would be proud and support me as I make my impression out there, I hope I do the both of you proud... I better head to the bus station before I miss my bus to Pallet Town."
And with that Harudo walked off towards the exit unknowingly that over the graves of his parents, two spiritual ghost like specters were watching the young man head off towards his destiny.
'Well dear there he goes...'
'Yes our Henry has grown up to be a fine lad, now he's going to make an impact of his own.'
'Will he be alright out there?'
'Of course he will be hun, he won't totally be alone out there... any Pokemon he'll catch will protect him to their dying breath...'
Nearby a Gastly spawned out of nowhere and floated towards the specters, curious as to why they are out in the open.
"Gastly?"
'Ah we must of confused you, apologises.'
'Our son visited us before he left town.'
Gastly then looked towards the distance, thinking as of it was strange for a human to pay visits to the graveyard but then he felt a powerful force in the air like it was an anchor of some kind and that gotten the ghost pokemon curious.
"Gastly?"
'You want to follow our son?'
"Gastly."
'We won't stop you but if you want to keep an eye on him to see if he can make Pallet Town, I would be very happy if you did.'
"Gastly!"
Gastly then floated off towards the direction of Harudo but then disappeared since it was a Ghost Pokemon as both spirits looked on and content that their son was going to be safe in the world and thus disappeared.
To be continued...
(Taro) And so the prologue begins, Harudo is from Lavender Town and thus he is sensitive to Ghost Pokemon... whether he will get one, that's a likeliness but again this is a story that I want to build on so it'll be a journey of the Travelling sort.
If you want me to continue this then please a review and tell me what you think... otherwise I will see you all later.
