October 31st 20XX
It's been quite some time since Seventopia has been fully restored, so much has happened. Right now, I'm back at my home planet, Palettenet, home of the paintbrush fairies known as Brushians. I'm happy to see my parents, and my 2 longtime friends, Jammy and Verde again, though we do need some catching up to do after I was away on helping out Claycia on creating Seventopia until she was completely possessed by Dark Crafter, that big colour-stealing jerk...
But enough about that, today is Halloween, and I got my little tanooki tail and ears ready to go. It feels like I'm using one of those power-ups from the series "Super Primario Bros" that me and Jammy enjoy playing. I really hope I get alot of candy, especially those jawbreakers, they're so yummy. Teehee~
She gets her candy bag out of her closet, next to her colourful bed is her dairy. She decides to bring it along in case she sees something that's rather odd or creepy. She lets out a big sigh.
I hope I can see Kirby again. He did so much for me, not only him, but Bandana Dee as well. I miss his blue eyes, his cute smile and his appetite makes me laugh. With him around, I can do anything...maybe that's why I'm in love with-
Elline hears her door opening, which made her jumped. "Elline, dear, it's nearly sunset, you're almost ready?" Her father, Stylus, an yellow brushian with auburn hair and a orange brooch. Elline turns around with a very slight blush on her face. "Y-Yeah, I'm was about to head out, dad." "Well, you better get going, your pals are waiting." Stylus said. Elline puts her dairy in her candy bag. "I will~" She gives him a hug, and flies off. Stylus couldn't help but smile.
The brushian flies down the stairs and sees her mother, Quilt, sound asleep on the couch. She's an blue brushian with blonde hair *with a side ponytail*, and a violet brooch. "Hey, mum, I'm going trick-or-treating now. I'll be back at around 10pm." Elline said. Though, she won't get a response from Quilt since she's most of the time sleeping during daytime. She giggles and heads off.
She see's the sun is setting, and later sees her friends, Jammy and Verde. Jammy's a female brushian with a orange body, jam-coloured hair with a green bow and a cyan brooch. She also has PMA *positive mental attitude*. Verde's a shy male brushian with a green body, olive hair, a light green brooch and wears a eyepatch on his left eye. They're both wearing a vampire and a pirate costume repsectively.
"Hi, guys! You both ready to go?" Elline said. "Are you kidding. I'm wearing my fake fangs for a reason, Elline!" Jammy said ecstatically and shows her fake fangs at them. Elline giggles "I can see that. You look nice in that pirate outfit, Verde". "O-Oh, you think so? I really don't look like one." Verde doubts himself. "Nonsense! You'll get more candy when wearing that. You look like a real pirate that steals video games." Jammy said.
Verde's frightened about this. "I-I don't steal...I'll never do something like that, do they steal, Elline?" "Well, not that kind of pirate, Verde, but they can steal treasure" Elline replied, causing Verde to gulp. "But enough chit-chatting, lets go trick-or treating~!" "Yeah!" Jammy excitedly. Verde slowly smiled. "Okay, let's go!"
And so, the trio began trick-or-treating, they're been some tricks, mostly by Jammy and her antics, by literally hanging upside-down from roofs, just like what bats do. They then came to the home of their art teacher, Miss Abstract. They shouted "Trick-or-Treat!" at her. "Aw, if it isn't you three~ Looking adorable with those costumes" "Thanks, Miss Abstract." Verde said. Miss Abstract hands Verde some toffee and bonbons, handed Jammy some candy bars, she then look at Elline. "I know my top student enjoys these." She hands Elline a packet of jawbreakers. "My favourite! Teacher, you shouldn't have~!" "You are a little hero and you did rescue your friend" Miss Abstract complied. Elline blushed a bit when her teacher calls her a 'little hero'. "You should be proud for what you've accomplished." "You're right, Miss Abstract. Thanks for the candy~" Elline said. "Your welcome, take care now, kids".
Around 8-8:30pm, they've finished trick-or-treating for the night and they're now at the park that they go all the time. Their candy bags are like 3/4 full. Verde is eating some of his candy, while the girls have a little round a game of paintball. Jammy is wondering around on where could Elline be hiding. "Come out, come out, wherever you are. It's not like I'm going to shoot you" Elline is hiding in a forest of trees, she can hear that Jammy is trying to lurk her way out, so she decide not to move or say anything.
"You know Elline is not going to fall for that like the last time, right?" Verde said. Jammy sighed, "You might be right, Verde...unless~", she said with a little devilish look.
Elline is just waiting for the right moment to strike. "Teehee, didn't learn your lesson like last time, Jammy? You can be gullible at times." She then hears Jammy shouts "HEY, VERDE! YOU BET KIRBY WOULD BE A GOOD BOYFRIEND FOR ELLINE?! I BET SHE WOULD LOVE THAT~!" This caused Elline to blushed really hard. "B-B-Boyfriend?!" She then lost her balance and falls off the tree, and lands back first to the ground with a 'Thud". Jammy heard where the thud is from. "Found her~" She goes there, leaving Verde with a stunned expression. "Uh...what just happened?"
Elline is still lying on the ground and she tries to get up, fortunately her wings weren't injured from the fall. She's still blushing after what Jammy just shouted out. Speaking of Jammy, she arrived and aims her paintball gun at Elline. "Teehee~ Got you now. Any last words?" Elline is really annoyed at her. "Yeah, why did you say that out loud?! Were you peeking at my diary again!?" Jammy gives her a smirky look. "Maaaaybe~? You do like-like him~" This caused Elline to flail her hands. " T-That's not the point! You don't peek at your best friend's diary! How would you like it if I take a peek at yours?!" Jammy isn't fazed by this. "Good luck, I don't even own one." she said as she sticks her tongue at Elline. "Now be covered in paint!"
Just as Jammy started shooting, Elline quickly turns into her Paintbrush form and stroke a rainbow rope as a barrier, she gets up and does a quick getaway. Jammy isn't pleased about that. "Oooh, you and your abilities to create rope! Get back here!" She's now in pursuit of Elline.
Elline isn't too far ahead, she can hear Jammy's paintball gun shooting, she then sees a fork in the path. She quickly goes left, unaware that there's a sign not to go there. Jammy arrives at the split path, and noticed the sign. "She must've went right." She said and took the path to the right.
Elline is still flying until she couldn't hear the shooting anymore, she stop to take a breather. "Phew, feels like I'm being chased by those Grab Hands again." She looks around the are that is unfamiliar with. "Huh, I don't remember this part of the park. What is this place?" She wonders around for a couple of minutes until she discovered some old abandoned shrine. "What is that?" She takes a look around the shrine, it may look like a old shrine, but it is abandoned for a reason.
"I don't get it. Maybe I should write this down" Just when she gets her diary out, she sees something moving inside the shrine. Out of curiosity, she takes a look inside, all she sees is a black diamond that's slowly moving clockwise. "What is that, some sort of jewel? What's something that could be valuable be doing in there?" She's unsure on what to do until she decides to slowly attempt to grab the diamond.
Upon intact with her right hand, she felt a zap on same hand. "Yeowch!" Pulls her hand away and starts sucking it. "Did that thing...just zapped me?" She continued looking at it with a look of concern. "I'm really hoping it's not one of those cursed objects..." She then feels some wind is getting a little heavier. "I should probably head back, it's getting pretty late." She takes one last look at the shrine and the black diamond. "I better write this down when I'm back home." She starts heading back, fortunately she knows her way out.
Jammy is already out of the forest part of the park, chatting with Verde. "You really couldn't find her, Jammy?" "Yeah, it's so strange. It's like she just 'POOF!', disappeared like a ghost!" "G-Ghost?!" Verde starts shivering in fear. They both see something coming from the forest. "You hear that?" Jammy said, Verde shivering nodded. Jammy then points her paintball gun at where's it coming from. "Show yourself, you no good ghost!" She takes aim and fire at it, only to realize that she's out of paintballs. "Uh-oh...I need to reload paint!" Before she could do that, Verde stopped her. "Wait, Jammy! Look!"
They both see Elline coming out. "Elline!" Jammy shouted. "Oh good, you made it out too." Elline said. "Where were you? I couldn't find you anywhere!" Jammy said. "Really? I thought that you gave up and headed back out" Elline said. "Gave up? You know I don't give up on a paintball fight. I was chasing after you, but by time I reached the other side of the forest, you were nowhere to be around." Jammy explained. "Well, that can't be, because I was in there the whole time." Elline said. Verde breaks the conversation. "The important thing is we're all safe and sound. We all need to head back to our homes."
"He's right, let's get going" Elline said. Jammy and Verde nodded in agree and they all exited the park. They later split up so they can go to their homes.
Elline arrives home and sees her mother wide awake, sewing up a quilt. "Welcome home, sweetie~ How's trick-or-treating?" Quilt asked. "Pretty well, mum~ Got a lot of candy right here~" She shows Quilt the bag. "That's wonderful, dear. Don't eat all of it at once." "I won't~" Elline winks at her and heads off to her room. She sees her father who just finished cleaning up her room, and even leaves a rainbow parfait for her. "There's my special paintbrush~" Elline placed the bag away, takes off her tanooki tail and ears and give him a big hug.
Stylus hears his daughter yawning. "You must be exhausted, better go get some rest." Elline yawns again. "I will, dad. Just need to write something on my diary." Stylus chuckled and puts her to bed, "Okay then, have a nice rest, sweetie." He saids as he kisses Elline on the forehead. "Teehee~ I will, dad. Love you~" Stylus turns the light off and closed Elline's door.
While Elline is getting ready to write on her diary, she turns on her lamp and takes a jawbreaker out of her candy bad and puts it in her mouth. "Mmm~" She then starts writing.
This year's Halloween might be my best one yet, we might've gotten more candy than we got last year. Jammy is just being a little trickster like always, and Verde is always looking out for us. I love those 2, we're been friends since preschool. Now onto my main topic.
While we were at the park, me and Jammy decided to do a quick game of paintball fight. At times it wasn't pretty when we make the park a mess, but we do clean up after we're done. I then flew to the forest area of the park to avoid from being shot, that was until I see a shrine, and inside it is some sort of black jewel that looks like this.
She then draws the black diamond in her diary.
Wonder what it's doing in that shrine? Could it be a curse object, or could it be really valuable? I wasn't too sure, until I attempted to grab it, only to get zapped in the process. Why would it do that? Talk about a mean jewel! Maybe I'll find answers in the future when I have the time to go back there, or at least tell my father or Claycia about it.
"Well, that'll be all for now" She said as she puts her diary away under her pillow. When she turns off her lamp, she sees little figurines of herself, Kirby, Bandana Dee, a Cotta, and a Sportle. She smiles by looking at them, especially at the Kirby figurine. She whispered, "I really I hope I see you again, Kirby~" She closed her eyes and falls asleep.
During the night, back at the old abandoned shrine, the black diamond is slightly starting to move faster. Then a feminine voice is heard...
Feel the obsidian...
