It has been a long time since we wrote another fanfic, and this one is kind's(girl) idea too. I hope, it's interesting. Warning, English is hard for us. And we really don't have a lot of time to improve or be smart enough to fix every grammar and spelling.
DISCLAIMER: We do not own Harry Potter or Naruto.
In another life, a normal life. A rather unusual quote but not so much to all. Not many would personally know where these words would fit; because a lot of them have lived a life that could only be considered normal to them and fitting such words would be difficult.
Yes, normal, most of us live such a life. Even a certain dark-haired woman who could only live to see all of those falling apart right before her life ended would word it out the same way.
An example of normal life would be where two girls. preferably sisters sitting with their strict but kind normal parents.
It would be dinner time and the two parents would be giving one of the girls a stern expression with worried expressions.
"You should know and understand what we're saying right?"
"..."
One of the girls nods once afraid and scared but responded nonetheless. Usually, their dinners would be filled with laughter and the shared stories of their daily lives.
"It's not a bad thing wanting to do those things. Your father and I would even whole heartily support you to live your life the way you want. It's just… that…"
A hand was gently placed on the woman's shoulder, and the man of the house then spoke in his wife's stead.
"Not everybody would understand and it would scare us so much if something bad were to happen if others find out. So…"
Brushing the few tears that fell out of the young girl's eyes. The man gave her a reassuring smile, "Chin up, and just try to be more careful next time, okay?"
*hug*
"I'm also here for you too!" The other girl who was sitting beside her also quickly gets up to hug the girl.
"Everyone…" The girl finally stops being nervous and scared to give them a happy smile. She felt bad for what she did but was glad they were here for her.
After all, was said and done, the girl was still punished for her action by giving her no dessert. It wasn't much of punishment since she had already been given a scolding by her parents.
"Lily, psst! Are you asleep yet?"
"huh? Petunia, what is it?"
"Here, it's for you."
The girl's eyes widen a little as she quickly glances toward the door, scared that their parents might find out what her sister had brought her.
The two girls shared a room, they didn't have to since their house was big enough for a separate room for each person. This also showed how close the two sisters were.
"Did you take this while mom and dad weren't looking? If they found out they might scold you too Petunia."
On her hand was the desert they had for dinner that she wasn't able to take a bite off since she was being punished.
The other girl just smirked and scooted closer to her sister who was still a little worried.
"They won't~." Petunia then confidently proceeded to scoop the sweet dessert that was jelly toward her sister's mouth.
"…" The girl ate the desert with glee for a short second.
"What do you mean?"
"Why would I get an earful from mom and dad if I didn't take any outside of dinner in the first place?"
"Wait, so that means…" Lily realized that her sister hadn't eaten her dessert in the first place and saved it for her.
"That's right, I won't eat something so sweet and good without my little sister." The girl beckons her to take another bite.
It was a known fact how much the two cared for each other. Especially, their parents. They did find out Petunia carry the desert on a plate upstairs, they just didn't stop her since she wasn't breaking any rules. They could only find how sweet she was for caring so much for her sister.
"Then let's eat it together. I won't have any unless you have some too." Lily also scop up the jelly for her sister.
"hehehe!"
Downstairs, the parents could hear the giggling of their children, and they were very fine with it. They were worried that scolding her might affect her but seeing she had a reliable older sister also curd their worries.
This would be a good example of a normal family wouldn't it? Well, a normal family could also be described in another way too and it's not all that happy-go like the first one.
*crack!*
In another part of the same town, in a not so friendly looking house. A house others would describe as a little shabby but livable. And from this very house, a cup was thrown out of the window and shatter outside which the others outside feel deaf to for this was a normal occurrence.
Two adults inside the house were shouting, and arguing with each other but to others, they were about to tear each other apart. Anyone would've been uncomfortable listening to the words being screamed out from their mouths.
This would be also considered a normal family since every life has ups and downs especially when things have gone to the point of no return and this particular family was in on one right and looks to be unrepairable.
And under so such a stressful environment, the ones who are the most affected would be the children. As children are still growing and continue to learn many things, this was one of the few things children would not want to learn growing up.
*sniff*
In another room beside the part of the house where the adults were screaming at each other faces was a little boy with tears falling down his face while trying to sound out the shouting and arguing by covering his ears. His actions were all that a normal child would have done when said parents were constantly at each other throats.
"I hate this…"
*sniff*
"I don't want this…"
"Please, make it stop…"
The boy was crying silently as things would not seem to die down and this was normal for the boy, not to say it would be easier each day for him.
Though, today was a little louder than the other day. Yes, his parents would argue almost every day and he learn to bear them except today was on a whole new level. His mother suddenly came home while holding onto a new face that his father disapproved of when his eyes locked on it. It had caused quite a stir where things were thrown and both adults released all of the unhappy thoughts, they had for each other.
*sniff* He just wishes it stop. Something very normal for a child his age to wish.
"I'm sorry…" The voice of a child spoke out to him.
The reason for the shouting, screaming and depressing air was a little girl with light dark hair. A little girl was brought home by his mother who was currently standing a few feet away from the boy.
"Go away. *sniff* I-It's because of y-you… mom and dad a-are…" It was stupid for the boy to blame it on a little child who was even younger than him about a problem that was already there in the first place but in the end, he was still a child and almost everything pressuring him would be confusing.
"…"
"…" The boy felt the girl slowly sitting beside him doing the same thing as he was doing. Hugging her knees to her chest and just staying her best to stay quiet.
The boy glanced at her and figure a little out that she was his mother's child like he was but a little different. Was that why his father was so angry the boy asked himself but all of this was too much for the 7-year-old distraught boy to figure out.
"What's… your name?" The boy asked though he didn't even face her when he asked the question still angry and sad.
"…" The boy trembles a bit as he felt the girl sitting closer to her as her shoulder touches his.
"It's Mikoto…"
"I'm Severus…"
Both children just sat there together and for some reason, the still pressuring mood in the house was a little bearable for the boy. The inclusion of the new member in his house would be a very impactful surprise for the rest of his life.
Thus, this is how the normal of a not so normal life of witches and wizards would unfold.
And done….
Yes, yes this is a story about the mother of Sasuke and Itachi in the world of wizards and witches.
