I sat under a tree in a field, the wind was blowing softly as I heard the rustling from the trees. I was feeling so weak from not eating for a couple of days, my throat was dry and sore from the lack of water. My stomach felt like a bottomless pit with nothing inside.

"Why can't I just die…" I muttered, I looked around the nice quiet area and smiled. The wind blew gently across the field, the sounds of the grass blowing in the wind filled the silent void. I closed my eyes feeling my body cool down and relax. "So, this is where he found piece, Hohenheim, at least you look old enough to actually get a home," I smiled to myself, soon enough I blacked out from lack of energy.

My name is Reaka Morden.

I don't know who I am... Well... I only know my name and home place due to Hohenheim. When I awoke in the desert, he told me my name and helped me regain my strength, but when I fell asleep one night a month later, he left... And I never saw him again.

I have blue eyes and long brown hair, fair skin with the odd mole on my body. I wasn't massively tall.

Oh, and I couldn't age or die.

Not far from Reaka, two boys and one young girl were walking home from school with each other,
"Hey look… there's a girl up there!" the young blonde girl pointed,
"Oh yea… I wonder what she's doing," the youngest brother spoke,
"Who cares… let's just get home," the oldest pouted and walked on.

"She's passed out!" the girl yelled and ran up the hill to Reaka,
"Winry wait!" the youngest brother called, the oldest stopped and sighed then looked up at his younger brother and friends Winry run up the hill.

"Edward! This girl doesn't look too good!" Winry called,
"I'm coming," Edward ran up the hill. They all looked at her,
"She's very pretty…" Winry spoke,
"Who cares how pretty she is… you said she needed help… who's going to get it," Edward snapped,
"You get it then!" Winry put her hands on her hips and pouted,
"Fine…" Edward sighed and ran off to his home.

Later on Reaka was lying on a sofa in Edward's and his younger brothers house,
"Where did you find her again?" their mother asked,
"She was passed out under a tree…" the younger brother spoke.

I heard voices around me as I sat up and held my head,
"Where am I?" I muttered,
"How are you feeling?" I looked up at a woman with chestnut hair and green eyes,
"I'm not good…" I stopped as my stomach rumbled loudly,
"I have a feeling you passed out from hunger, am I right?" the woman asked, I nodded slowly,
"I'll get you some food then," the woman smiled. I didn't say anything as she walked off; I looked over the back of the sofa and saw 2 young boys at the door, blonde hair, and golden eyes.

They reminded me of Hohenheim, I sat back and put my feet on the floor as the two boys stood at the end of the sofa looking at me. I gave them a sideward glance and they ducked down; this made a smirk appear on my lips. I leaned over the side and looked down at them both,
"I'm not gonna bite you know… I may look big and scary but I'm quite nice," I smirked, they both stood up and looked at me,
"Why did you pass out under the tree?" one of the boys asked,
"Because I haven't eaten for a few days…" I sat up and sighed,
"What?!" the boys were shocked,
"Yea… I'm good at surviving so I can last a long time without food…" I sighed again.

"What are your names?" I asked,
"I'm Edward," the boy on the right spoke,
"I'm Alphonse," the other smiled,

"And your both very cute," I smiled,
"What's your name miss?" Alphonse asked,
"Reaka, but call me Rea," I answered,
"Rea…" Edward repeated,
"Yes," I winked which earned a small blush from him.

Later on their mother, Trisha had cooked me some food and took the boys out the room so she could talk with me.
"How come you're traveling alone Rea?" Trisha asked,
"Because I have no family and I'm looking for someone…" I explained, I had seen the pictures of him on the wall in the house,
"Who?" she asked,
"You know him very well, but he left not long ago and I just missed him…" I sighed and looked up at Trisha with a serious expression on my face.
"Hohenheim?" Trisha looked a bit shocked,
"Yes, we've been friends since I was very young, I was hoping to find him and ask him some questions and catch up really," I smiled, "You see… I've got something in common with him," I looked down at my empty plate,
"Are you immortal too?" Trisha asked, I nodded,
"He should be back in a few years, we made a promise," Trisha smiled.

Trisha and myself spoke most of the night getting to know one another and telling funny stories about Hohenheim,
"You know, me and Hohenheim have always had this thing where we know how each of us feels about something… and I can sense off you, that he was very much in love with you Trisha," I smiled, Trisha smiled at me sweetly,
"Why don't you stay a while Rea, I'm sure my sons would love to have you here too," Trisha smiled,
"Ok, but I won't stay for too long, I mean, I need to find Hohenheim don't I," I smiled.

Trisha was a lovely woman, and her invitation made me feel incredibly happy.

I had been here for a few weeks now, I started to love both the boys. Edward and Alphonse are both lovely and fantastically talented, intelligent, and fun. Trisha was lovely to be with as well, she was very caring and helpful. As I sat outside, I relaxed in the sun.

I was sitting in the field looking up at the blue sky smiling to myself,
"I wonder when the boys will get home," I muttered. I heard a rustle behind me, and I smirked, I heard two boys yelling as they jumped towards me. I rolled forward and stood up laughing,
"You boys know it's impossible to make me jump," I smiled,
"We will get you one day Rea!" Edward stood up and pointed at me in determination,
"I highly doubt that," I stuck my tongue out and laughed as Edward growled at me,
"Aw, you're so cute when you have that face on you Edward," I joked and hugged him,
"Get off Rea!" the 7 year old Edward complained.

I sat back on my knees and smiled at Edward,
"You should be more respectful to your elders Edward," I smirked,
"Yea, your 8 years older than me so that's not much difference," Edward pouted,
"Yea, someday we'll be your age Rea, then you'll treat us with respect," Alphonse pouted too, I laughed,
"That will never happen boys," I spoke,
"Now why not?" Edward and Alphonse sat down in front of me,
"Are you boys good at keeping BIG secrets?" I asked, they both nodded, "I'm immortal," I whispered,
"Yea right… like I'll believe that…" Edward snapped,
"Well… believe it if you want I'm not forcing you, but don't tell anyone else, I don't mind Winry knowing either but no one else ok," I smiled.

I stood up and walked back to the house and the other boys followed,
"Are you really immortal?" Alphonse asked,
"Believe it if you want or not, I don't mind," I looked at him. "But as you two age, I shall not," I added.

Later that night I woke up screaming,
"Those voices… please stop," I hugged my knees and grabbed my head, "Stop, please," I muttered.

I heard a creak at the door and looked up quickly, I saw golden eyes and blonde hair.
"Edward?" I spoke, he was shocked and pushed the door open, "What are you doing up?" I asked,
"I heard you yelling in your sleep Rea, Alphonse is still asleep," Edward spoke,
"Yea… I tend to have nightmares… every now and again," I sighed and closed my eyes,
"Do you want some company?" Edward asked, I looked at him and smiled,
"I could do with some yes," I nodded.

Edward walked over and sat on my bed next to me,
"Why do you have those nightmares?" Edward asked,
"I don't know, and I'm not telling you what they are about because I cannot remember them when I wake up," I answered, partly lying, I remembered them, I just didn't want to scare the young boy.
"But you said something about people screaming," Edward spoke… he was too intelligent for his own good,
"I'm still not going to tell you," I put my hand on his head and smiled gently.

"Go back to bed Edward, Alphonse might wake up and get worried," I explained,
"Are you ok now?" Edward asked,
"Yes, I'm fine," I nodded and lay back down, Edward looked over me, "what?" I asked, his cheeks turned red then he quickly kissed my forehead.
"Mum does it when we go to sleep… hopefully it will stop you having nightmares…" Edward sat back up and blushed, I smiled at him, "Thanks, Edward Elric," I spoke. He was such a sweet boy, he will grow up to be an amazing man.

Edward smiled then left my room to go back to bed, I looked out the window and sighed,
"I'm leaving tomorrow night… sorry Edward… Alphonse… but I have too…" I put my hand to my forehead and closed my eyes, "I have to…" I muttered.

My bags were packed, and I was ready to move on. I stood in the doorway with my bags, the boys were at school, so they weren't here to see me go luckily... I don't think I would have been able to cope else.

"Trisha…" I looked at her,
"I guess you're moving along, with your bag on your shoulder," Trisha smiled,
"Yea… as you know I can't stay in one place too long… even though it's been a few weeks now…" I explained,
"Yes, the boys will miss you," Trisha spoke,
"I'll come back in a few years, ok," I nodded,
"Great idea," Trisha smiled, we had a few moments of silence as I moved my bag on my shoulder. We had grown close, so it was difficult to leave.

I got to the door,
"Oh, and please give this to the boys… to prove that I'll see them again," I smiled.

I gave Trisha an envelope which had a letter in, and an item that I treasured, it was my bracelet that the boys constantly played with when I took it off, they loved the charms on them as they each had a special meaning to me. But there were two spaces left on the bracelet.

Later on the boys came home from school,
"Mom! Rea! We're back!" Alphonse opened the door and saw his mom there ready to greet them,
"Hello boys, good day at school?" she asked,
"Yea, it was great! We've got something to show Rea, where is she?" Edward chimed,
"She's not here boys," Trisha looked away,
"Not here? Where is she?" Alphonse asked,
"She left this morning, but she told me to give you both this to explain where and why she's gone," Trisha handed them both a letter.

Edward snatched it and ran out the door,
"Edward!" Trisha called.

Edward ran to the tree where he found you,
"Why did you leave just like my stupid dad!" Edward kicked the tree and opened the envelope; he saw Reaka's charm bracelet and a note attached.

'Proof I'll come home'

Edward sat down and took out the letter and began to read:

'Hey boys,

By now your mum has told you both I've left home, as I told you before, which I still want you to keep a secret, I'm immortal, and with me living in the same area for years and not aging… it's going to look suspicious, so I have to keep moving.

I'm sorry about this, first your father left, and now me.

I care about you boys a lot and would live with you all your life if I could… but I need to settle my problem first before I can live and settle down with a family.

Take care of my charm bracelet too, I left it as a promise that I'll return within the next few years to fight it out of your grip Edward.

I had so much fun over the last few weeks I'm grateful to have met you.

Look after each other and grow up strong.

If you ever fall down, you've got a strong pair of legs to keep walking.

Love you boys,

Reaka Morden,

Oxoxoxoxo

'

"Stupid Reaka!" Edward yelled and sat down and looked at Reaka's charm bracelet, he pulled out what he made for her today with Alphonse, it was a small charm in the shape 'R' for Reaka's initial. Edward attached it to a space on the charm bracelet and saw there was one more space.

Edward wanted to fill that one space for Reaka, so he decided to make another in the future for when she came back home.

"I'll fill that space Reaka, I promise…" Edward muttered.
