AN: Hey guys here's another story for you guys. This story I worked on during the pandemic while my place of work was closed. I had a very long love-hate relationship with this story. I changed my character's name many times, I changed the way the story went. I deleted and rewrote so many parts of this story that I almost just fully deleted it. Actually at one point I lost this story. I really hope that you enjoy it. I know that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. Like my other stories it follows the shows (Yes I know some people don't like that, it's my format, its the way I process so please respect that. If you don't like that then maybe this isn't the story for you.) I've always wrote for myself and shared it with the world. I've never written for anyone else but myself.

Chapter 1: Elizabeth

Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here and I have the biggest news ever. One of my many sources sends us this. Spotted at Grand Central, bags in hand…Serena Van der Woodsen. Was it only a year ago our 'It' Girl mysteriously disappeared for quote 'Boarding School' and just as suddenly, she's back? Don't believe me? See for yourselves. Lucky for us I got proof.

The Humphrey siblings walked into Grand Central Station. They had just spent the weekend with their mother in Hudson. Their parents had sort of split during the summer. Elizabeth Humphrey wasn't sure what was happening, but she was glad to be home. It's not that she didn't love her mom because she did, she was just closest to her father. Their father Rufus Humphrey spotted them and grabbed their attention.

"Dan, Lizzie, Jenny!" Rufus shouted. "Over here!"

"Hey Dad" they said in unison.

"You guys made it" Rufus said hugging Jenny, then Dan and finally Elizabeth "Welcome back"

"Good to be back" Elizabeth said.

"How was your weekend?" How's your mom?"

"Fine" Dan said.

"She's good" the girls replied, and they all looked at each other.

"Like 'maybe I never should have left Manhattan' fine or 'taking a timeout from my marriage was the best idea I ever had' fine?"

"Dad you know what? I am uh I'm starving" Dan replied

"Second that" Elizabeth said trying to change the subject.

"Let's go home. I'm cooking" their dad said.

"Yes"

"Caprese salad, a little mozzarella di búfala" Rufus said guiding Jenny away. Elizabeth spotted Serena Van der Woodsen and elbowed her twin brother Dan. He had the biggest crush on Serena.

Spotted: Lonely Boy, can't believe the love of his life has returned…If only she knew who he was.

"Look it's your crush" she whispered.

"Shut up" he replied and elbowed her.

Later that night Elizabeth spotted Dan looking at the computer.

"Whatcha looking at brother?"

"Nothing" he replied shutting his computer "Why are you in my room anyways?"

"Mom and Dad?" she replied, "Do you think they'll be okay?"

"Let's hope" he replied "for Dad's sake"

"Night Danny" she replied

"Night Lizzie" he replied. She then went back to her room and went to bed.

The next morning Elizabeth walked in the kitchen in her school uniform. School was not exactly her favorite place in the world since they went to school with a bunch of snobby rich kids, but she did enjoy it. Maybe because she was smart. She had taken her SATs when she wasn't even a freshman yet. Or maybe because she enjoyed learning new things. It also might be the fact that school was the only place that she got to see Nate Archibald and now that she was technically single after a breakup with her boyfriends of 1 years she might actually get the guy's attention.

"Guess who's dad is cool?" Rufus asked as she sat down at the counter next to her little sister Jenny.

Elizabeth was technically by default the middle child. There was Dan, her twin brother, her and then Jenny. Though she and Dan honestly didn't look much alike. He had dark brown to black hair and dark brown eyes, where she had blonde hair and blue eyes just like her little sister. Which is why most people thought she and Jenny were the twins.

"It's a trick question" Jenny stated.

"Yeah, cause it can't be ours" Dan said.

"Haha, look at this" Rufus said handing Dan a magazine.

"Top 10 forgotten band of the 90's"

"Check out number 9"

"He's very proud" Jenny said.

"Way to be forgotten" Dan stated.

"It's totally rad dad" Elizabeth said

"That's my girl" Rufus said.

"Maybe you'd care if Dad's band was on Gossip Girl" Jenny said.

"I don't read Gossip Girl, that's for chicks" Dan replied

"Not to mention guys stalking their crushes" Elizabeth said "I caught him red handed looking up Serena Van der Woodsen"

"Rolling Stone?! Wow! Let me take a look at this again Dad. Très cool"

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and turned to her little sister.

"What are you working on" Rufus asked Jenny.

"It's called Kiss on the Lips party. Everyone's going"

"You guys were invited to that?" Dan asked and the girls turned to him. "No offense if I sound surprised. Since I've never been invited"

"One of the girls in my art class saw my Calligraphy and she said that if I addressed all the invitations that I could have one"

"And being the good little sister, she got me one too"

"I'm trying to picture you at a Social event. It's so not Elizabeth Humphrey" Dan said, and Elizabeth threw a pencil at him.

"I might have a wild side that you don't know about" she replied.

"When you're what skating, dancing, playing the guitar in your room. So wild Lizzie. Living life on the edge." Dan asked and Elizabeth rolled her eyes at him.

"Well what Jenny is doing seems fair. The sweat shops could learn a thing or two" Rufus said.

"Dad this is not a platform for one of your anti-capitalist rants"

"Yes, it is"

"Besides you make us go to private schools" Jenny replied.

"That's for your education"

"So, we should just be anonymous losers who eat lunch alone and never get invited to parties?"

"Works for me" Dan said "Lizzie?"

"I'm not a huge partier but it would be nice to even be invited" she replied

"Mom thinks it's a good idea" Jenny replied.

"And her judgement is always sound, right?" their dad said, and it got silent. "Jenny, if you want to go to that party you should go. Both my girls should. Those kids could use some Humphrey fun"

Jenny smiled then looked at Elizabeth. They bumped fist.

On the way to school Dan grabbed Elizabeth's hand and yanked her through New York traffic trying to catch the bus. When they got on the bus there were no seats. They stood a little far back from two students who went to school with her brother. She recognized them as Nate Archibald and Chuck Bass. Nate was the boy she liked. He had been nice to her once freshman year after her books had been pushed out of her hands by Penelope. Nate had helped her to her feet and had helped her with her books. After that she thought he was the sweetest guy in the world. Even if his best friend was Chuck Bass.

"Anything juicy?" she asked her brother, and he didn't say anything.

Their stop came and Dan let Elizabeth go 1st which made her right behind Chuck. A guy pushed Dan which made him bump her into Chuck.

"Sorry" she replied, and he looked at Dan.

"Are you following us or something?" Chuck asked and Elizabeth looked at her brother.

"I go to your school" Dan said "Identical uniforms. Should be the tip-off"

Elizabeth laughed and Chuck glanced at her giving her a once over which she returned with a glare.

"That's funny" Nate said. They got off the bus Elizabeth still laughing.

"This is why I love you" Dan said "You laugh at some of the weirdest moments. He could have totally beat my ass for that comment and you just burst into laughter which I think pissed him off more."

"Even Nate Archibald thought it was funny" she replied "Though I don't know why they were taking the bus. Don't they have drivers? Oh my god are their drivers on strike?"

"You are one unique individual."

"See you later" she said looking at the time.

"See you" he replied, and they went their separate ways.

Chuck and Nate*

They got off the Bus. Chuck still thinking about the girl with the asshole.

"Who was the blonde?" he asked. "She could do so much better than that asshole"

"I think she goes to Constance." Nate replied. "I've seen her around mostly just kept to herself. I think he does too so maybe they're together because they have things in common. She's cute and funny so maybe he likes that about her"

"I can show her things we can have in common"

"Really Chuck?" Nate asked as they walked into the school"

During Lunch Elizabeth went into the gym and worked on her ballet. She was training to be an Olympian figure skater. She practically lived on the ice when she wasn't at school and when she wasn't on the ice or at school then she was dancing. While she was practicing, she had no idea that someone was watching her.

Spotted: On the steps of the Met an S and B power struggle. Did S think she could waltz home and things would be just like they were? Did B think S would go down without a fight? Or can these two hotties work it out? There's nothing Gossip Girl likes more than a good cat fight, and this could be a classic.

After school she met Jenny at the Entrance.

"This is for you" J said handing her an envelope.

"Awe you put Lizzie instead of Elizabeth. Best sister ever."

Elizabeth of course was her birth name and she loved it. She related it mostly to Queen Elizabeth. Both the 1st and 2nd which made the name feel powerful, but her dad had called her Lizzie since she was a baby so it's what she went by mostly. If anyone called her differently, she didn't really like it. It was either Elizabeth or Lizzie. Nothing else.

"Guess what?" Jenny said as they began walking.

"What?"

"I met Serena"

"As in Dan's Serena? Serena Van der Woodsen? That Serena?" she asked, and Jenny nodded. "Dan would be so jealous"

"She's really nice"

"So, shall we window shop? Find something you can maybe make for us?"

"Let's go" she replied.

They got to the mall and began trying on different dresses.

"We need a second opinion" Jenny said.

"Already on top of it" Elizabeth said putting her phone down "Dan will be here soon"

A little while later Dan arrived at the mall.

"What's the emergency" he asked as Elizabeth stepped out in a dark blue dress.

"Do these dresses look good?" Jenny asked.

"Is this seriously why you needed me. I thought this was an actual emergency."

"Fashion emergency brother" Elizabeth said.

"And why couldn't you help each other?"

"We wanted our brother's honest yet brutal opinion" Elizabeth said batting her eyelashes.

"Fine" he replied and gave them both a once over "You both look great"

"Look its Serena" Jenny said, and Elizabeth looked that direction "Hi Serena"

Serena started walking their way. A young boy next to her.

"Hey" Serena said, "Jenny, right?"

"Yeah. Hi" Jenny said, and Elizabeth nudged her "This is Elizabeth my older sister"

"Lizzie" Elizabeth said "Normally only my family and teachers call me Elizabeth and that is when I'm in serious trouble"

"Eric" the boy said.

"And our brother…" Jenny said turning around "Um Lizzie where is um…?"

Elizabeth looked around and noticed Dan missing.

"And he says I have a social problem" She whispered then turned back around "He must have had something he had to do"

"Are these your dresses?" Serena asked, "For the party?"

"Sort of" Jenny replied "Oh speaking of that, here"

Jenny dug in her bag and pulled out an envelope and handed it to Serena.

"I made you one during free period, but if anyone ask where you got it. I know nothing"

"Thanks"

"That's J for you" Elizabeth said.

"We should actually go" Serena replied.

"Same"

Serena and Eric turned to leave but Serena stopped and turned back to the girls.

"You should try that dress in Black Jenny. As for you Liz. Maybe a red."

"Thanks" the girls said.

Chuck and Nate*

They walked through the park

"This is some good stuff" Chuck replied

"Yeah, I'm gonna need it" Nate replied "Blair's mom is at the country house"

"Yeah?" Chuck replied "Then maybe I should swipe some of my dad's Viagra"

Nate didn't respond.

"Nathaniel you're finally about have sex with your girlfriend, it's like you're headed to your execution"

"No man I'm good"

"Talk to Chuck, buddy"

"You and Blair have been dating forever and all of a sudden there's a problem?"

"There's no problem"

"It's just…do you ever feel like our whole lives have been planned out for us?" Nate asked "That we're just gonna end up like our parents"

"That's a dark thought"

"Aren't we entitled to choose just to be happy?"

"Look easy Socrates" Chuck replied "What were entitled to be a trust fund, maybe a house in the Hamptons, a prescription drug problem. But happiness does not seem to be on the menu. So, smoke up and seal the deal with Blair 'cause you're also entitled to tap that ass"

Nate smiled.

"And speaking of tapping ass, I have a ballerina to find" Chuck replied taking a hit.

That evening Jenny worked on the dresses and Elizabeth working on homework. Dan opened the door and closed it. Elizabeth looked up.

"I guess we can cancel the missing person's report" Elizabeth said.

"I really had no idea that you could move that fast" Jenny replied.

"You should try out for the track team"

"Your fashion emergency was solved I figured my work was done"

"That seems like a likely excuse" Elizabeth said, "Right J?"

"Not fair. No Humphrey sister gang up."

"Serena said hi to you at a 9th grade party and you've never forgotten it" Jenny replied

"How could I? She was the only person who spoke to me"

"I spoke to you" Elizabeth said.

"That wasn't my family" Dan said "But I'm pretty sure she thought I was someone else"

"Matt, right? The lacrosse player" Elizabeth laughed. "Who by the way you look nothing like so that's either an insult to you or an insult to Matt or a compliment. However, you want to see it"

"Really Lizzie?" Dan asked and she shrugged her shoulders.

"She's actually nice" Jenny replied.

"J is right"

"If she did know you. I think she'd actually really like you"

"I think she might be a tad overwhelmed by the glitz and glamour of the Humphrey Lifestyle"

"And what an amazing lifestyle it is" Elizabeth replied "Rumor has it she is staying at the Palace hotel"

"My point exactly"

Spotted: At the Palace Hotel, S and B having a heart to heart.

Hmm, why so thirsty S? You may have won over B for now, but we still think your hiding something.

"Sitting at the bar all by herself sipping martini" Jenny put in.

"Sounds sad" Elizabeth replied.

"Dads at the gallery working late. Left money for dinner. So, Lizzie and I were thinking Indian"

Dan looked at his sisters.

"I think I'm…I'm gonna go out" Dan said getting up.

"Have fun" Elizabeth shouted as he shut the door. The girls linked pinkies "And that is how the Humphrey sisters do it"

"We do make an awesome team" Jenny said continuing to sew.

"The sitting by herself thing was good."

"Gossip Girl"

The next day Elizabeth was at her favorite place the ice-skating rink round the corner from her favorite coffee shop in West Village. When she was done, she put her stuff in her bag and walked outside. She got outside and checked her phone. She had one missed call from Dan. She called him back as she walked into the coffee shop.

"You called?" she asked.

"I got a date" he shouted.

"Really? Who did you convince to…?"

"With Serena"

"I must be dreaming because I swore you just said Serena"

"Thanks, Lizzie, for your vote of confidence in me"

"It's my job as your sister" she replied, "So where are you taking her?"

"Dad's concert"

"Radical dude"

"You truly are a one of a kind"

"Which is ironic because I'm a twin" she said.

"Funny" he said.

"All jokes aside, I do wish you the best though" she said

"Thank you, Lizzie,"

Later that evening the three Humphrey siblings stood in front of the mirror.

"You're going out with Serena and were going to the Kiss on the Lips. Who said this family wasn't cool?"

"I don't want to be late but good luck you two." Dan said leaving the room. The girls turned back to the mirror and Rufus came in behind them.

"My girls are turning into women" he said.

"Dad, the word is we look nice" Elizabeth replied.

"You both look beautiful. Like your mother"

"Thank you"

Both girls hugged him, and they headed out.

They arrived at the party and looked around.

"I can't believe were here" Jenny replied.

"Maybe Dan was right" Elizabeth said "This isn't exactly my scene"
"You'll be fine Lizzie. Relax" Jenny said "I'm gonna go find some drinks. Are you good?"

"I thought I was the big sister?"

"You gotta take a break from big sister sometimes"

She watched Jenny walk away. She began to look around when she spotted Blair Waldorf walking right toward her. Blair Waldorf was Nate's girlfriend, but that wasn't the only reason Elizabeth wasn't a fan of hers. Elizabeth and Blair were tied for the top of their class and Blair hated her for that. So therefore, Elizabeth didn't like her as well.

"What are you doing here?" Blair said.

"My little sister is J"

"Who?"

"Jenny?"

"Right, I wish I would have known" Blair said and stormed off her minions staring her down as well. Elizabeth waved at them.

The other thing that pissed Blair off was the fact that Elizabeth wasn't afraid of her.

Chuck*

He watched two blondes enter the room, one of them being the girl from the bus the day before and from the gym bending her body in ways he was curious about. She definitely wasn't looking like the goody two shoes she came across as. He definitely wanted to get to know her better.

"Who are the two blondes?" he asked Katy and Is.

"That would be Jenny Humphrey and Elizabeth Humphrey." "Which one is wearing red?"

"Elizabeth but Jenny is a freshman"

"I do love freshman, but she is not the one I'm curious about"

"Elizabeth 'Know it All" Humphrey? Blair can't stand her" Katy said.

"Even better" Chuck replied "Anything about her on Gossip Girl"

"Nothing, she's a saint" Is replied. "She's probably still a virgin"

"Not for long" Chuck replied walking away toward her. He was almost to her when he saw her talking to Nate. He turned and spotted the other blonde and decided he would go for her instead

Elizabeth turned and bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry" she replied turning and spotting Nate Archibald. He was so beautiful. The handsome jock types. And a total sweetheart. Downfall- Blair's boyfriend.

"It was my fault" he replied.

"I don't know. I'm a bit of a klutz, except for on the ice. My brother says I don't know how to walk without ice skates" she said then laughed.

"You were on the bus yesterday" he said, "I recognize your laugh."

"Yeah" she said.

"Your boyfriend made the remark to Chuck"

"Brother" she corrected. "Twin brother, and best friend."

"Sorry"

"Honestly, not the first time, since we don't look like twins. Everyone tells me and my sister though. Could be identical almost."

"What he said was funny"

"That's what I told him. But he didn't listen. I'm his sister I'm biased" she said then laughed.

"You have a cute laugh" he replied "A very contagious one"

"Thanks" she blushed and looked down then back up "I'm Eliz…"

"I'm so sorry I gotta go" he said and walked away.

"Lizzie!" she her brother yell.

"Danny?"

"Have you seen Jenny? She texted me" he said, "Didn't she text you?"

Elizabeth opened her bag.

"Crap" she said "I must have left my phone on the bathroom counter at home"

"Then help me find her"

"Okay" she said.

They began looking and finally headed up the stairs and found her with Chuck having her pinned against the skylight.

"Hey" Dan shouted.

"J" Elizabeth said grabbing her sister and pulling her close. "You, okay?"

"You son of a…" Dan began.

"What the hell is your problem? It's a party. Things happen. Who are you anyway?" Chuck said.

"How many times do I have to tell you I'm in your class? My name is Dan Humphrey, and these are my sisters." Dan said then punched Chuck.

"Come on Dan let's go" Serena said grabbing his hand "Chuck don't you ever touch her again."

They got downstairs and into a taxi. Elizabeth grabbed the front seat so Serena could fit. After dropping her off and Dan doing an awkward wave they got home. Jenny changed for bed and Elizabeth went to the freezer and grabbed an ice pack and tossed it to Dan.

"Nice right hook. Hope that helps" she smiled "I think I'm gonna sleep in J's room tonight. Keep an eye on her"

"Sounds good" he replied.

Elizabeth changed for bed then climbed in next to her sister.

Spotted: Serena making a heroic exit from B's party. Too bad there is school on Monday. So, until next time, you know you love me.
