Angelo took a deep breath and gazed at the door before him, indescribably excited, yet terrified about what awaited him on the other side.

He was in his room in the Smash Mansion, getting ready for what was about to happen. His heart had been racing ever since he woke up. Knowing that his two worlds were about to meet for the first time ever…It was exhilarating. And terrifying.

Something vibrated in Angelo's pocket, and he quickly reached into the pocket and took it out. His interdimensional communicator was buzzing, and the navy blue button was flashing. That meant Meta Knight was trying to contact him. Smiling a little, he pressed the button and held it down.

"Hey, Meta Knight!" he said. "How's it going out there?"

Meta Knight's voice came over, "I do not think the other Fighters can wait much longer. They are ready to meet them, Angelo. When are you coming out?"

Angelo grinned. "Welp, can't exactly blame them. I'll be out in a second, I promise."

A sigh sounded over the line. "Well, Master Hand is doing his best to keep everyone in line, but you would do well to hurry."

"No problem. See you soon, man," he said.

The line went silent. Seconds later, the orange light began to flash, and Angelo physically laughed. He pressed it and said, "Leo! What's up, man?"

A laugh sounded over the line. "I can't tell you how excited I am for this. If I did, I'm pretty sure this conversation would go on for hours. Everyone else is pretty hyped as well."

Angelo nodded. "Well, you won't have to wait any longer. I'm about to let you guys over here, so get ready."

"Yes!" Leo shouted. Somewhere in the background, he heard someone else, maybe Piper, say, "What are you yelling about now?"

The line went silent, and Angelo put the communicator back into his pocket.

This is it, he thought to himself, and he opened his door and made his way down the hall.

He passed the rooms of the other Fighters, which were all empty. They had all gathered in the main hall of the Smash Mansion, waiting for their guests to come over. Angelo could also hardly wait, and he was soon sprinting down the hall at full speed.

Finally, he reached the main hall, and a collective cheer went up from the assembled Fighters. He scanned the crowd for familiar faces and saw Terry flashing him a big thumbs-up and Mewtwo nodding to him, as well as Corrin gesturing at him to come over to her. Grinning, he moved his way through the crowd and went to her side.

"This is amazing!" she said. "Is it really about to happen?"

He kissed her on the cheek and smiled. "Yup! I'm gonna let them through right now. Let's do this!"

Angelo pushed his way to the front of the crowd, Corrin following him closely. He reached the doors and turned to face the crowd.

"Fighters!" he called, instantly getting everyone's attention. "This is it! This is the moment that has only happened once before. A moment where two dimensions cross and finally meet. Today–"

"GET ON WITH IT!" someone shouted, probably Bowser.

Angelo laughed. "Yeah, I wasn't sure where I was going with that anyway. Here we go!"

He turned and pushed open the doors to the Smash Mansion, then walked outside.

It was a beautiful night, with stars lighting up every part of the night sky. Angelo couldn't help but marvel at the jewels of the night as he stopped a few yards down the path leading up to the mansion and took a deep breath. Corrin squeezed his hand, and he smiled at her, grateful for the support.

"You've got this," she whispered.

Angelo nodded and released her hand, summoning his sword.

He stepped forward and focused all of his energy into his sword. In order for this to work, he needed to concentrate all the power in his soul into his blade, so he could pierce the boundary between dimensions. He'd done this dozens of times before, but now, with everyone watching him, he was terrified that he might mess it up somehow.

His sword flared with crimson energy, lighting up the area around him. Angelo planted his feet and swung his weapon in front of him, slashing through the fabric of space, and a portal appeared.

At first, it was only a pulsing red circle, a circular tear in the fabric of reality. Then it shimmered and grew in size a little, and an image slowly resolved in the portal.

On the other side of the portal was Camp Half-Blood, and there, he saw the assembled demigods. Some were Greek demigods from Camp Half-Blood while others were Roman demigods from Camp Jupiter. They were all waiting for him to breach the boundary between dimensions.

Leo was the first to say something. "All right, you did it!"

Angelo grinned. "Come on, guys! The party's on this side!"

And with that, demigods started pouring in through the portal, some hesitantly, others rushing through excitedly. Angelo saw Leo, Dakota, Nico, Reyna, Hazel, Annabeth, and more coming through, and his grin only grew wider as the momentousness of this event began to sink in. This was finally happening.

At last, every demigod on the other side of the portal had come through, and the portal closed.

The Fighters and the demigods stared at each other, Angelo and Corrin standing together in the middle. Angelo could barely contain himself. Any second now, he was going to explode.

Then Leo walked up to Angelo and gave him a bro hug. "Whoa," he said. "This place is…amazing."

Angelo nodded. "It's about to get crazy."

For the next few minutes, endless introductions and welcomes were made as the Fighters and demigods got to know each other. There were multiple cries of astonishment and amazement all around as people showed off their abilities or shared stuff about them. Angelo's heart was racing the entire time as his two worlds met and mingled, Fighters and demigods coming together.

Everyone eventually moved into the Smash Mansion, where Master Hand and the Fighters had set up for the legendary gathering. The floating gloved hand had no eyes, but Angelo could tell he was looking at him. He gave him a very big thumbs-up, then disappeared in a flash of light. All the Fighters and demigods resumed their mingling.

Angelo checked on a couple of them. Frank and Pit were having the most intense conversation about archery, which was no surprise. Percy was trying to communicate with Greninja to no avail. Hazel and Robin were chatting it up about magic and various other military matters. Leo was in a literal heated discussion with Roy, as he seemed to not notice that his hair was smoldering a little. That tended to happen when he got excited.

He couldn't help but grin like a lunatic as he watched Fighters and demigods together, not to mention the fact that two dimensions were coming together.

Corrin had been with him the whole time he was wandering around. Every so often, she would squeeze his hand and smile at him, showing him just how proud she was of this moment. Of him.

"So…" she started. "Are you going to introduce me to anyone?"

Angelo had been so caught up in the excitement that he completely forgot about that.

"Oh!" he said. "Okay, I am actually so sorry about that. Uh…Over here!"

He led her to Nico di Angelo, who was talking to Dark Pit. Again, this came as no surprise to Angelo.

"Nico!" he called. The son of Hades turned and looked him in the eye, along with Dark Pit. "I wanted you to meet someone, man."

Corrin bowed to him. "Hello, Nico. My name is Corrin. Nice to meet you."

Nico didn't move. His eyes seemed to smolder with an emotion Angelo couldn't quite read. "I've heard a lot about you, Corrin."

She raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really?" she said, looking at Angelo.

He scratched the back of his neck. "Well, they wanted to know what I do over here, and I couldn't help but talk about you."

Dark Pit laughed. "Even when they're not in the same dimension, they talk non-stop about each other. Can't say I'm surprised."

Nico hadn't taken his dark eyes off of Corrin. "So you're a…a dragon?"

Corrin seesawed her hand. "Half-dragon. Water, to be specific."

Her response seemed to unsettle Nico, even anger him a little. "I see. Well, if you don't mind, I was kinda in the middle of something…"

Angelo looked back and forth between the two of them, trying to gauge the mood right now. Something was not right.

"No problem, man," he said, looking at Nico and wondering what the heck just happened. "We'll be going now."

Nico looked at Corrin one last time with what looked like resentment, then turned back to Dark Pit. This was getting weird now.

"Is something the matter?" Corrin whispered as they walked away.

Angelo shook his head. "He's…not the friendliest person to get to know, if you know what I mean. But that…I've never seen him worked up like that before. Something about you…I don't know."

Corrin shrugged. "If he finds something about me unlikable, he would come up to me and say it himself, correct?"

Angelo hesitated. "You…could say that, yeah."

She nodded. "Then I suggest we focus on something else. Who else is here from their dimension?"

He almost breathed a sigh of relief when she said that. He looked around and immediately spotted Jason talking to Hero. Grinning, he led Corrin over to him.

Hero acknowledged him with a nod. Jason smiled when he saw Angelo approaching.

"Hey, Angelo," he said. He nodded to Corrin. "I assume this is Corrin, huh?"

She grinned sheepishly. "Yup. That's me."

"You can turn into a dragon?" he asked incredulously.

Corrin nodded. "I've been told you guys have fought your fair share of dragons in your dimension."

Jason grunted in agreement. "As long as you don't try to barbecue me or eat me alive, we'll be good."

She laughed. "I can't even breathe fire. I'm a water dragon. But the eating alive part? Don't worry about that."

Angelo shook his head, amazed at how easily his dimensional friends were connecting.

"All right, we're gonna go check on the others now. See you in a bit?"

"You know it, man." Jason said, raising his fist for Angelo.

Angelo bumped it with his own, then continued on his way.

"Demigods," Corrin said with wonder. "Children of mortals…and gods. I just…find it hard to grasp."

Angelo nodded. "Yeah, I thought it was pretty crazy too. But then it comes with some unwelcome things, like getting endlessly hounded by monsters."

"What?"

He laughed. "Okay, that's what I've been told. Apparently, monsters can smell demigods a mile away. And they, uh, tend to be a little hostile towards them."

Corrin nodded. "How do they survive on a daily basis?"

Angelo shrugged. "They get by. They're not exactly defenseless, remember?"

Someone tapped Angelo on the shoulder then, and he turned to see Piper's grinning face.

"Angelo!" she said, giving him a hug. He was suddenly very aware of Corrin standing next to him, even more than before.

Piper registered the half-dragon staring at her, and her face went red. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she said, releasing Angelo. "I'm not making a move on your boyfriend, I promise!"

Corrin shook her head and laughed. "I will let it slide this once, but from now on, always remember that he is mine," she said, pulling Angelo closer and giving him a small peck on the cheek.

Angelo widened his eyes in mock terror and said, "Help me."

All three of them started cracking up then.

Wiping her eyes, Piper faced Angelo. "So this is the Corrin you're always talking about, huh?" she said, sizing her up.

Corrin placed a hand on her chin and narrowed her eyes. "And you are…Piper, daughter of…wait, don't tell me…Aphro…dite?"

Piper nodded. "Yup. Goddess of love and beauty."

Corrin beamed, seemingly proud of herself for remembering one of Angelo's friends.

Angelo looked around, searching for someone in particular. "Hey, Corrin, I gotta go look for Meta Knight. You staying with me?"

Corrin shook her head. "I wish to talk with Piper a little longer. I want to know more about their dimension."

Piper grinned. "With pleasure."

Angelo squeezed Corrin's hand one last time, then ran off to find Meta Knight.

He wove his way through Fighters and demigods, still buzzing about the enormity of this moment. He remembered Mewtwo, his…well, not exactly his friend, just someone he was cool with. He remembered Mewtwo being the first one to recommend that he have the two dimensions meet. Mewtwo had been strangely optimistic about it, seeing as how it was…well, Mewtwo. Not exactly the warm and open type. And yet, it'd insisted on arranging the meeting and letting this legendary moment happen.

The thought of his Fighter friends meeting his demigod friends was too exhilarating to pass up. So he instantly agreed.

Now it was turning out even better than he imagined.

At last, he found Meta Knight talking to Reyna on the balcony overlooking the first floor. Again, no surprise. The two were exceptional at fighting as well as strong in the strategic department.

"Meta Knight!" he called. "Over here!"

Both of them acknowledged him with a nod. "Ah, hello again, Angelo," the small swordsman said. "I've been having the most fascinating talk with Reyna here."

Reyna shook her head. "I never would have thought that he was such a great warrior. And yet…" she held her hands in front of her, forming a sphere. "I just can't get past the size."

Angelo laughed. "All the same, never underestimate him. He will leave you with more than a couple bruises and cuts for daring to do such a thing."

The praetor couldn't help but crack a smile. "All of this is so…thrilling. Thanks for giving us the chance to experience this, Angelo."

He nodded. "You know, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity for you guys to meet each other. Some of you are just made for each other."

Reyna laughed, looking at Meta Knight. "Yeah, you could say that."

Angelo shook his head and grinned even wider. "Alright, I'll see you guys later. Gotta go check on these other maniacs."

Reyna gave him a little wave, and Meta Knight grunted in understanding. With that, Angelo set off to find his other friends among the crowd.

It wasn't long before he found Terry having an arm wrestling contest with Sherman Yang. He watched with rapt interest as the two struggled to gain the upper hand, veins popping out in their arms and foreheads. But in just a matter of seconds, Terry slammed Sherman's hand on the table, making him the winner.

"Yeah!" he said with a fist pump. "That's three in a row, Yang!"

The son of Ares rubbed his hand, looking more excited than annoyed. "Dang, you're actually kinda jacked, Yerry."

Terry saw Angelo and grinned. "Angelo! How ya doing, man? These guys are awesome, by the way. Can't believe this is actually happening."

Angelo grinned and started to reply.

Before he could say a word, he heard a bloodcurdling scream, followed by a loud crash upstairs.

Everyone went deathly silent and looked upwards at the ceiling, wondering what that noise was. Angelo's entire body seemed to lock up as he recognized the scream.

Terry was the first to stir. "Was that…?"

Angelo didn't give him the chance to finish. His body unfroze and he tore through the crowd, shoving his way towards the stairs to get to the second floor. He ignored the shouts and complaints from the Fighters and demigods he was pushing. He had to get up there.

Please, please, please, he thought to himself.

He finally reached the second floor and stood gasping for breath, trying to calm himself from running so hard. Behind him, he could hear the pounding footsteps of the other demigods and Fighters all clamoring to reach the spot where they heard the scream. Angelo shook his head, trying to clear his mind from exhaustion, and beheld the scene in front of him.

What he saw almost made his heart stop.

Piper was lying on her side, blood dripping from a ghastly wound in her chest. She was barely moving. Corrin was against the wall, blood dripping from her head. She didn't seem to be breathing.

"NOOOO!" Angelo shouted, the halls of the Smash Manson echoing with his broken cry.

He rushed to Corrin's body, grabbing her shoulders and examining her head in pure panic. She'd been slammed against the wall, and it seemed like the force was enough to crack her skull and cause the bleeding. Her silver hair was matted with blood, and the crimson liquid also dripped from her nose. He couldn't tell if anything else in her was broken, but he knew for sure that his heart was cracking apart into tiny little pieces.

Someone pushed to the front of the horrified crowd, and Angelo heard Jason cry out. "Piper!" he shouted, kneeling by her motionless body. Piper's eyes were glassy and unfocused on the world around her, but her fingers twitched at the sound of Jason's voice, as if her body recognized the presence of her boyfriend.

As for Corrin, Angelo shook her by the shoulders, tears building up behind his eyes. "Corrin! Wake up!" he sobbed, unable to control himself. She still hadn't stirred, but Angelo was absolutely certain that it was her that screamed earlier. But why?

In an instant, Angelo's despair evaporated, replaced by a burning anger unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. Behind him, Jason's body sparked with lightning as he stood and furiously turned on the crowd that had gathered.

"WHO DID THIS!?" Angelo demanded, summoning his sword to his hand as he also faced the assembled Fighters and demigods.

"I'll kill you myself!" Jason shouted, his eyes glowing with electric blue light.

The crowd backed away, terrified. Angelo didn't care. He knew he would've gladly torn them all apart with his bare hands if it meant he could get back at whoever hurt his other half, and he sensed that Jason felt the same way.

He shook his head, trying to clear his rage. Adrenaline coursed through his entire body as he scooped up Corrin in his arms.

"Jason," he said sharply. "Use your shirt to stop Piper's bleeding and follow me. We need to get to the infirmary now."

A Fighter stepped forward. "You'll be much too slow," Zelda said, cautiously extending her arms. "I can take her to the infirmary instantly."

Angelo glared at the princess, reluctant to part with Corrin now of all times. Taking a deep breath, he carefully passed Corrin's motionless body over to Zelda, who grunted under the weight of the other Fighter.

"Right," she said. "I'll be back for Piper!" she called to Jason.

"No need," Palutena said, pushing her way to the front of the crowd. "I will also take her to the infirmary. Step back."

A spark jumped from Jason's hand, nearly zapping the goddess. "No." he said. "I'm not leaving her side. Take me with you."

Palutena narrowed her eyes, clearly questioning whether the electric teenager in front of her had just told her no.

Angelo intervened before the two could kill each other. "Jason," he said, his voice tight with anger and despair. "You have to trust her. Piper…" he hesitated. "Piper…will be fine. We'll meet Palutena and Zelda at the infirmary, don't worry."

Jason tensed, his eyes darting back and forth between Angelo and Palutena. At last, he unclenched his fists and sighed. "Fine," he said to Palutena. "Take her to the infirmary. But be careful with her," he warned.

Palutena nodded and placed a hand on Piper's chest, then disappeared in a flash of light. Zelda disappeared with Corrin via Farore's Wind, and then the hallway was deathly quiet again.

Angelo slid down against the wall and sank to the floor, total despair threatening to overwhelm him. What had just happened?

He felt a hand on his shoulder, and he looked up to see Robin, the male one, at his side.

"Hey," he said, trying to comfort him. "Corrin will be fine. I…I understand how you feel about this, but she's tough. She will make a full recovery, I'm sure of it."

Angelo stared into Robin's eyes, trying to process his words but barely hearing them. Things had been going so well, and now his love had been badly hurt. But why?

Slowly, his anger and his despair dissolved, replaced by a steely determination. Sitting around and crying wasn't going to help Corrin and Piper. He needed to think.

Grunting slightly, he stood and faced the crowd in front of him.

Instead of seeing Fighters and demigods watching him, he saw suspects. Possible enemies.

One of them had hurt Corrin. Of that, he was absolutely certain.

Before he could say a word, Mewtwo teleported to the front of the assembled demigods and Fighters, startling everyone. Its expression didn't shift much, but Angelo thought he detected sadness in its eyes.

Angelo, the Pokémon said, projecting its mental voice outwards. I…am truly sorry about what has happened. Whoever did this…Well, I don't have to tell you how much they will surely regret it.

Angelo nodded. Corrin's and Piper's attacker was going to pay. Big time. Angelo and Jason would make sure of it.

Before he could say something, Mewtwo spoke again. I also have something to tell all of you, it said. Until Corrin and Piper recover enough to the point of consciousness, I would suggest that everyone stay away from the infirmary.

The comment seemed to shock Angelo as well as everyone else. Mewtwo wanted them to do what now?

He stepped forward. "Yeah, you would suggest it, instead of actually saying it. I'm staying by Corrin's side. Nothing's gonna stop me from being with her, not even you."

Mewtwo's eyes narrowed. Then allow me to turn my suggestion into an order. Stay away from the infirmary until Piper and Corrin can at least make a halfway recovery. I only wish for them to be alright, much like you two, and I know that they do not need the constant attention of 80 plus Fighters as well as Arceus-knows-how-many demigods at the moment. Leave. Them. Be.

Now Angelo was getting angry all over again. Apparently, Jason was feeling the same way.

"What's your deal, man?" the son of Jupiter cried. "I leave Piper's side for five seconds and this happens. I need to be with her to make sure she's okay. Right now."

Angelo gripped his sword. "So unless you wanna take both of us right now, you're gonna let us go to the infirmary and see Piper and Corrin."

A purplish fire seemed to burn inside the Pokémon's eyes, which didn't terrify Angelo in the slightest. Mewtwo may have been more powerful than he was, but Angelo would not back down. In that moment, his will was unshakable, and he was absolutely certain about that.

Finally, Mewtwo lowered its head and sighed. Very well, then, it said. However, only Angelo and Jason may visit Corrin and Piper in the infirmary for the time being. Like I have said, they do not need constant attention at the moment.

Angelo nodded sharply. "Fine with me," he said, though he heard a couple groans from the Fighter and demigods

Mewtwo pushed through the crowd, guiding Angelo and Jason to the infirmary, where hopefully he could still see Corrin one last time.

Imagine getting stabbed, skill issue.

PERCY JACKSON AND SMASH! HOLY CRAP,I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW HYPED I AM FOR THIS, AND I'M THE ONE WRITING THE STORY.

So, who stabbed Piper and hurt Corrin? You'll have to keep reading to find out, my sirs.
