The Other Invisible Man

He is the other invisible man.
Not by choose, mind you.
He does his job silently, if he talks too much,
The Official is sure to yell,
"Shut up, EBerts."

It rings through his ears.
So, he blends in with the wall.
Everyone forgets he's there, waiting patiently.
He begins to open his mouth,
"Shut up, Eberts."

vibrates through the office.
He knows most of the answers,
like there are no teams two through six,
and the satallite pgone really costs nine hundred and fifty dollars.
But no one else should know this, it is always,
"Shut Up, Eberts."

Then Hobbes calls him Charlie Brown,
and a brown noser, and many other rude names.
Hobbes tries not to find out anything personal about this poor lackey,
But when Darien lets it slip his first name is Albert,
Hobbes thought it was a good first name,
only because that is his middle name.
He would be a great third stooge for their "routine"
One can see this in their unison, "What?" and "Where's Eberts?"
But Darien and Hobbes don't see that,
They just use The Official's words,
"Shut up, Eberts."
