Chapter 1
The World is filled with Pokemon, humans, and a special race known as the Aura Users. However, aura users were hunted in the past because of how one of the kings tried to use that power to colonize the whole world, even though the humans and Pokemon work together to stop the king, its roots in their minds that Aura users are evil and must be eliminated. The aura guardians are forced to stay on an island known as Sevestar Island, a place that isolates itself from the other 8 regions. On the island, there are Pokemon, but with their kindness and working together, Pokemon trust Aura Guardians and vice versa. There are 19 kinds of aura users, the first 18 are the same as the Pokemon Types, they are capable of using that type of aura. However, the final one is the Grand Guardians, they have a Special Aura that can summon Legendary and Mythical Pokemon for their aid, this is also what makes them very special.
Aura Guardians are chosen by families, and usually, Grand Guardians are royalties. However, Aura Guardians are not immortal, and that's why people have been declaring war on the Sevestar Region so as to eliminate the Aura Guardians. Not all the Aura Guardians are on Sevestar Island, some of them have to hide their identity in the regions for fear of being killed.
After centuries, the Grand Guardians are the Ketchum Family. There is a boy named Ash Ketchum, he was born in Otem Town of the Sevestar Region, and by hiding his identity as the aura guardian, he is living with his mom in a town of Kanto known as Pallet Town. He has been traveling throughout the regions with his trusty partner Pikachu, and he has also seen the cruelty of the Aura Guardians.
"Charizard is unable to battle! The victory goes to Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!" Because of his hard work, he manages to get into the Pokemon World Tournament and defeat the undefeatable Champion: Leon. However, it is also then that he gets the news of his mother's demise. Their family has been found as the Aura Guardians, and his mother was killed by the Kanto Government.
When Ash's Aura Guardian identity is exposed, he is forced to summon Legendary and Mythical Pokemon to help him escape. His achievements, his glory, all become to naught because of the fact that he is an Aura User. The Alola Champion and the World Champion status of his is also revoked. Fortunately, Ash is said to be the heir of the Sevestar Region, and the aura users have been welcoming him to the Sevestar Region.
When Ash is taken back to the Sevestar Region, he reunites with his father and 6 other siblings. They are angry at the fact that their mother is gone and they wanted revenge on those governments. That's why when an attack happens, they are usually the ones who lead the army to fight back. Ash also makes a lot of friends in the region, some of them are friends made in other regions and provided to the Sevestar for safety.
Ash's Pokemon know how kind Ash is, and to be treated as a devil because he is an Aura Guardian angers them. All of them fight gloriously in the war with the other regions, with Charizard, Greninja, and Sceptile having the most kill counts other than Pikachu. And becuase of what he has done to save them in the other regions, the Legendary Pokemon, lead by Arceus, are helping the region out as protectors.
3 years have passed since Ash got the World Champion, he is standing on his balcony as he stares at the sea and the Pokemon roaming in his place.
"Ash?" Ash turns to see his princess, who is showing concern. "Are you thinking about that day again?"
"I can't help it, Lillie." Ash replies. "It has been 3 years since my Mom was killed and I lost everything..."
"You didn't lose anything, you still have your father and us..." Lillie says. "But you're right about it...what did we do to deserve the hatred from the other regions?"
Ash frowns, remembering how he and his Pokemon are leading the army of the Aura Users to block an invasion from the Hoenn Region. They lost a lot of people and they are also recovering.
Ash clenches his fist and says, "Because of what our ancestors did, aura guardians are treated as devils. And because of our powers, they are terrified that we will unleash our rage and destroy them, so they decide to get rid of us first..."
"But this is so messed up..." Lillie says with tears in her eyes. Ash frowns and he can only hug her.
Lillie's family is one of the branches of the Ice Guardians. They lived in the Alola Region's artificial island known as the Aether Paradise. Trying to hide their identity, they help treat Pokemon and people in the region, but after Ash is exposed, the Aether Foundation is also destroyed by the government. Fortunately, Lusamine, Mohn, and their children manage to escape to Sevestar Region, where Ash's father, the current King: Adam Ketchum, offers them a new place to stay.
Not only the world turns against Ash, but his former travel companions also betray him for being an Aura Guardian, and they also blame themselves to be ignorant of who Ash really is, it broke Ash as his travel companions just throw away their friendship like that, except Lillie, since she is also an Aura User like him. Because of this reason, Ash falls in love with her, and eventually, they are married.
"I know..." Ash frowns. "But I don't care about what they think anymore. They are just losing their armies when they try to attack us for no reason. How about we think of something else? What is Snowy doing?"
"Snowy is staying with Pikachu, they are training so that they can help us fight the next enemy." Lillie says. "I just hope there is a way to stop this war and bloodshed..."
"Me too..." Ash says. "I tried contacting the other Champions and Mr. Goodshow for a peace talk, but they aren't buying it. In their eyes, we need to be eliminated no matter what."
"And what about our human friends?" Lillie asks. "Can't they do anything?"
Ash shakes his head, signaling that all hope for them is lost. At the same time, Ash's younger sister, Golly, walks into the room and says, "Brother, Lillie. Father called us for a meeting."
"We'll be there, Golly." Ash says as the two of them follow her to the conference room inside the castle. In the room, there are Tobias, Mark, Minami, Insey, Trenor, and Gladion. Ash and Lillie sit next to Golly and Gladion as Adam says, "Now let's start the meeting. Tobias, if you may."
Tobias says, "Yesterday, the invasion from the Hoenn Region has finally finished, we have a total of 237 Humans and Pokemon killed in the process."
"We really can't afford to lose more Pokemon and aura guardians..." Mark grits his teeth.
"And our enemies aren't just using Pokemon, they also use us Aura Guardians as slaves to fight for them as well...they don't even care that they've died in the process..." Tobias continues to say in a gloomy voice. "They brainwash those Aura users to let them think that their ancestors are evil and they are going to pay for their sins by helping them fight..."
Adam sighs, "That just proves that the fight is going to get harder and harder." He turns to Ash and asks, "And what about the peace talks with the other Champions?"
Ash replies, "None of the Champions or Mr. Goodshow wants to have peace talks with us. All they want is our elimination, each of them is stating how they are humiliated to lose to me in the World Championships, and how they will destroy and kill me."
"So that's how they think..." Adam shakes his head.
Insey raises her hand and says, "Father, we have Legendary Pokemon on our side, why can't we just use them to eliminate our enemies?"
Adam glares at his daughter and says, "Because of our ancestors, it is the whole world turning against us. Eliminating all the enemies means that we will have to do genocide, not just the people who wronged us, but also innocent Pokemon and aura users as well."
Lillie says, "People hate us because they don't know us, and they refuse to learn about us as well. To them, we are monsters and devils with crazy powers."
Minami says sarcastically, "Way to state the obvious. That doesn't help us stop the invasion all this time. I'm tired of fighting them when all they do is attacking and kill."
While the meeting continues, Ash is thinking about the past, the talks with his mother, traveling the world without being treated as an aura user, and how he manages to defeat all the gyms and some of the Leagues. Everything feels like a dream, and he is lamenting for the fact that he has to be awake.
Once the meeting is over, Adam has Ash and Lillie stay at the meeting room as Ash asks, "Father, what's the matter?"
"Ash, Lillie." Adam says with a tired tone. "I want to be honest with me, do you enjoy being sent to the front lines and killing our enemies just because they attacked first?"
"Of course not." Ash says. "But we have to do this. I lost Mom and I don't want to lose anyone as well..."
Adam nods and says, "I really miss your mother a lot, without her, I won't be the king I am right now. You don't know how much I really want to leave this island and destroy all of our enemies by activating "The Rumbling." But doing so only fuels more hatred between us and the 8 regions."
Lillie says, "Isn't there any way to stop the war starting from 2000 years ago?"
Adam says, "I really wish there is, that's why you're important in this, Ash, Lillie. Because you are the ones who managed to travel in the 8 regions and come back here safely."
"I guess that's true." Ash says. "What if we start to go outside the Sevestar Island again? I mean, maybe we can find a way to stop the whole war outside of Sevestar."
Adam knows that Ash isn't the type of person who will rather be confined to a region and not go anywhere. He says, "Do you think you will be able to come back here alive after leaving this region?"
"We don't know, but I won't give up until it is over." Ash says.
"And if Ash wants to go, I also want to go. I am not going to leave Ash after how those traitors betray him." Lillie says.
Adam notices the determination in their eyes, he can only nod and says, "If that's the case, follow me, I have something to show you."
Ash and Lillie are confused, but they follow Adam to see what he is going to show them.
Okay, welcome to the Prince Ash Darker Version. This is an AshxLillie story, and a lot of references are not only from Pokemon but also Attack on Titan. However, this is not a crossover story since only a few terms will be the same while it is still Pokemon story. It is also not the same betrayal story, because this is a story when the world hates Aura Guardians and wants to eliminate them.
