Hermione was excited to begin her third year at Hogwarts. She had been to Diagon Ally with Ron and Harry to get school books and other supplies. `Ron's pet rat Scabbers wasn't doing so well so they went to a pet store to see if they could recommend anything for him. While there she got a pet cat named Crookshanks. If she were completely honest with herself she had missed Argus more than the boys this summer. She couldn't wait till next week when she would be going back to Hogwarts.
Argus always dreaded the start of the school year but this year he was actually looking forward to the students coming back. Well one student in particular Hermione. He had to admit he knew he was gonna miss her he just didn't know how much. Fortunately the train would be arriving this evening and so would she. Filch made his way to the great hall, where the students would be arriving in about 10 minutes. Students began pouring into the great hall.
Upon entering the great hall Hermione spotted Argus, there was a bit of time before the sorting so she went to go say hi to him. She went up and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around and smiled. "Hello Argus" she said, he immediately wrapped her in a tight embrace. "I've missed you so much" he said in a low voice. "I missed you too", she replied. They broke the embrace and Hermione took her seat and waited for the sorting to begin.
