She pulled out her pocket protector and her notebook, "This school int big enough for the both of us," she spit on the tiled floor.

"Alright," the judge said, "Step 1 metre back and calculate!"

"Done!" she yelled. Then, Lucy woke up.

Carter was standing over her--"Take some asprin, we have work to do."

"What happened last night?"

'What happened? Well, you didn't lie to me, but you're losing my trust."

"What did I do?"

'I have one question for you, Lucy: Why is there one couch missing?"

"How should I know?'

"You should know, I left you in charge----the couch is burnt on the front walk!"

"It was a big party! I couldn't poliece all the drunk college guys---it's not like I could do anything about it anyway."

"No, you're right, lucy, you were too busy getting drunk and partying to do anything about burning furniture."

"Lighten up--it's college, it's Halloween, it was a party. Don't tell me you never caught anything on fire, Doctor Carter."

"Take this asprin and get dressed. I'll see you at the hospital. I'll let you be late because you've been early for the past week."

"I'll try not to be late, Doctor Carter, I promise."

"I'm starting to not trust your promises.

I remember that day like it was yesterday--and now she's dead, Carol! I shouldn't have been so hard on her. She was just an intern. A college girl. I shouldn't have been so hard on her."

"Stop being so hard on yourself, Carter, it wasn't your fault--that guy was crazy! You need your strength--just get your rest. I'm gonna leave you alone now."

"How's he doing?"

"How would you be Mark, Lucy is dead, and he's blaming himself. How would you feel?"
