Final Attack


i closed my eyes
hearing the anguished calls
yet still trying to block out
my comrades' bloody falls

i knew it had to be done
but i was so afraid to try
what if i couldn't control it?
everything known...all would die

and yet, looking down from the cliff
surveying the damage with a lighted view
i couldn't leave their souls without vengeance
that much i knew

my hands came together
my mind became detached
and as words echoed from my tongue
the earth rumbled and thunder cracked

i felt the energy, nearly overwhelming
the air was heavy, the magic pulsating
clouds parted and the heavens opened
my heart in fear, began resonating

i opened my eyes and chose my target
it was a perfect spell...perfect summon
aimed directly into the deathly swarms
and He was there...filling me with the hells of possession

i knew i couldn't hold on
my pain had brought me to this end
but still--one last whisper, one final attack
and then i'll be with the love of my friends

+ the last words are supposed to be whispered, btw..i'm not sure if u caught that. i tried to incorporate her feeling of fatigue and her desire of simple eternal sleep. she's always seen shouting her attack spells, but i wanted this one to be different. it's the end of the world afterall! ^_^ +
