Gotham City, 1971
So, there's Gotham City, one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in the world with a population almost of 5 million and with so many historical monuments and incorporations such as The Wayne Enterprises and The Kylie Enterprises. Also one of the most violent and corrupted cities in the world ruled by the italian mafia...
In his office there was Thomas Wayne in just one of his normal days in the work smoking a cigar when his secretary came out:
"Good morning, Mr Wayne how you're doing?"
"Good morning, Carie, I'm fine how about you?"
"I'm fine... Thanks for ask... So, umm, here's the checkout process of The Wayne Corporation, as it can be seen there was rise of 1.8% from last month since the rumors of the Kylies being in debts with the italian mafia started to overspread throught the city..."
Thomas then took the documents and start to analysis them. Suddenly, he said:
"Humm... Thanks to warning, Carrie, I'll look at them."
"You welcome, Mr. Wayne."
So he start to looking at it, he couldn't be more happier for the Enterprises started to have a rise in years. In other hand, he felt sorry for The Kylies since the rumors started to spread throught the city of its debts with the italian mafia and also because The Kylies used to be the strongest Enterprises in Gotham City since its release and now it's their time.
Thomas started to being concerned what if he had to start to pay for the mafia to be so powerful in more years since then? He couldn't stop to think otherwise since the mafia is the main power of Gotham.
At the same time, the telephone rang and Thomas picked up:
"Hello?"
"Hey sweetie..."
In the other line it was Martha, his wife.
"Humm... Hey Martha..."
"So how's going? Is everything ok?"
Then Thomas started to think he was chocked at this time and Martha on the line asked again:
"Thomas?"
"Ohhh it's fine. As a matter of fact, everything is perfectly fine, Martha... The Enterprises rised 1.8% this month and now we're the richest company in the city..."
"Ohhhh that's great! We should celebrate that!"
"Yes... As a matter of fact we should..."
"Fine. I'll ask for Alfred to buy some champagne for today... See you later, sweetheart."
"Ok, see you later, Martha."
And then he dropped the phone.
Meanwhile, in another side of the city, there was Mr. Kylie in his mansion with his wife and his daughter, the mafia could appear anytime soon and he should be ready to protect them at any costs.
"I want you to pick Selina and hide with her in any bedroom or closet, I promise I'll come back soon..."
The wife was crying at this time and then the mafia arrived.
"I love you both I promise I'll be back..."
And then he started to cry and kissed his wife.
"Hey Mr. Kylie, where the fuck are you, your dumbass son of a bitch?!"
Then the mafia shot on all the security guards of the mansion they were loaded with rifles meanwhile the guards doesn't have nothing.
At the same time the wife started to get so scared and screamed so loud and then Mr. Kylie said:
"Now go! Go!"
In this time the men of the mafia started to broke the mansion and one of them said:
"C'mon Mr. Kylie! Where the fuck are you, your coward?! You can't hide from us! Give us the money now!"
And then they started to search for Mr. Kylie.
Mr. Kylie was so nervous this time that he started to shake his hands and sweat throught his head. He was only loaded with a gun, while the henchmen of the mafia are with rifles.
At this point the henchmen started to get closer and closer from him and then his put his gun on the floor and said:
"Ok, I surrender forgive me, please!" then he started to cry.
"Oh, c'mon, get on the floor men! You know you need to pay to The Roman, don't you?"
"Yes, I know, but please tell him I'll pay, but don't hurt my family, please, I yeld!"
"But you should have already to had the money, where is it?!"
"I don't have the money... I'm sorry..." and then he started to cry so loud.
The henchmen of the mafia then started to look at him:
"You know what? You're a coward, Mr Kylie! That's what you are! Please, take care of them!"
And then the other henchmen started to beat him and he was only asking for forgiveness.
At this time three shots were heard from the bedroom where the wife was with Selina and then she started to cry.
"Hey, daughter listen to me, we don't have much time, I want you to go to the balcony as fast as you can and run away from here. Do you understand me?"
"Yes, mom, but how about you?"
"Mom will be ok, sweetie, so please now run! I love you!"
And then she hugged her daughter before the mafia started to broke down the bedrooms.
In this time they found her alone and Selina was hidden in the balcony.
"Oh, look what I found... Mr. Kylie's woman..."
"Please, don't hurt me, I beg you!"
And then the henchmen started to rape her over and over and Selina was looking at it.
At this time, Selina started to run as fast as she could.
And the man:
"Wait, there's the girl!"
"Please don't hurt my daughter! I beg..."
And then the men gave three shots on Selina's mom face.
When Selina heard the shots she started to cry, but she knew that this time she needed to run and that's what she did.
She took away the wall and then she climb throught it.
At this time the henchmen saw her and said:
"Wait, little girl... You can't hide from us..."
And then Selina in this time left her teddybear felt from the ground and escaped from the mansion.
The little girl ran the fast as she could, she was alone in the streets, crying.
After walked for so long, the girl was capturated.
When she opened her eyes she was in a room alone with a bunch of criminals, then a man with a beard approached to her:
"Hello, little lady, what you were doing in the middle of the streets?"
Then she didn't asked nothing to him and said:
"Oh... I understand that... I know you're scared... And alone... So... Let me introduce... My name is Ra's al Ghul, how about you?"
And then she was so scared and look at him:
"Selina."
"Oh... Selina... I'm so sorry, how old are you?"
"I'm 10."
"Ohh... I'm so sorry... You seemed so hurt and scared... So, I have a group of friends... A league to be more precise. Away from here, and we thought you'd be a great help for us, so what do you think? Do you wanna join us?"
And then she started to look at all the men around her and Ra's al Ghuld started to comfort her:
"Oh, don't worry about them... We don't make any hurt, specially for little ladies... We're not the type of criminals..."
At this time she starred at him and thought about her father, in this time, she was so hurted and scared but couldn't think otherwise than to revenge their parents from their deaths and then she climbed her head and said that she want to join.
"Oh... That's great..."
Meanwhile, in The Mansion Wayne late night, Thomas arrived tired of his work when Alfred opened his door happy and said:
"Good evening, Mr. Thomas..."
"Good evening, Alfred."
"I think there's something you'd like to..."
"Surprise!" then appeared Bruce and Martha with a champagne at the hand.
"Bruce! Give a hug on your dad!" and then Bruce went there and give him a hug.
Thomas then started to be so happy and then he starred at Martha and said:
"Good Evening, babe..."
"Good Evening, darling..."
And he kissed her and she said very enthusiastic:
"So it's time to celebrate isn't it?"
And then Thomas look at her and give a little:
"Oh yes... I think it is..."
"Great!"
"Dad... There's a new movie on theater that I'd love to watch... It's Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory can we watch please?"
"Sure, Bruce, of course we can! Do you like The Chocolate Factory?"
"Yes, I already read all the book!"
"Oh, that's great we could go on the weekend, what about it?"
"Sure, dad, thank you!"
And then Bruce hugged his father so hard.
At this time Martha looked at him so great and said to Thomas:
"So it's time to celebrate!"
Then they drank a champagne together while Bruce drank a glass of coke and ate a roast chicken. It was a great night for Thomas besides he couldn't stop overthinking about if one day he'd need to pay the mafia also...
On the next day, Thomas woke up, made a breakfast and watched the news.
The news started with the fact there was a fire on The Kylies mansion on the evening which was caused by a cooking gas turned on and let all the family members died by it, with no clues of any survivors...
In this time, Thomas started to look at the TV scared. He knew it wasn't an accident and of course it was the italian mafia. He thought if his destiny would be similar to him and couldn't be anymore scarier than it.
Suddenly, Martha woke up and looked that Thomas was really scared. Then, she asked:
"Hey, babe, what's going on?"
Then he looked at her and said:
"The Kylie family... They're all dead..."
Then Martha looked at his husband and started to comfort him:
"Hey, that's ok... That's ok..."
"No, Martha, that's not ok. I know it wasn't an accident... I know they were murdered..."
"But the TV said..."
"The TV is lying!" Thomas then screamed so loud that Martha got scared of him.
"Humm... ok... what about we make an appointment with a psychiatrist for Bruce's good?"
"You don't believe me, don't you?"
"I'm sorry, babe, I'm trying to, but accidents always happens. How could you be so sure they were murdered?"
Then Thomas started to look at Martha and saw throught her eyes how worried she was with him and then said:
"I don't know... I just have a feeling..." then Thomas took a deep breath and questioned "Where's Bruce?"
"He's sleeping, it's 8AM still" Martha answered him.
"Humm, ok, I think we should probably watch The Chocolate Factory today..."
"Yeah... It'd be fine..." Martha answered and smiled throught her husband.
"Would you like to come with us?" Thomas asked to her.
"Absolutely." and then she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Late at night Thomas went on the movie theater with his wife and his son and watched The Chocolate Factory all together.
After the movie theater Bruce was so happy and excited with the movie that started to run:
"No but did you see that Charlie got the prize! It was awesome!"
"Yeah that's great son!"
Immediately an unknowing man start to approach to them and then suddenly took a gun on the middle of the street and appont to them:
"Give me the money!" he screamed.
In this time Thomas started to get anxious and Martha grabed on him and Bruce.
"Wait a minute, man, can we talk?"
"I don't wanna talk. Give me the fucking money!"
"I don't have it, I'm sorry but what's your name?"
Then he shot on the sky.
"It doesn't matter! Give me the fucking money!"
In this time Thomas saw a crowbar on the floor and the with his hand raised up he said:
"Ok... ok... I promise I'll give to you, but firstly can you answered to me, what's your name?"
"Joe Chill. The biggest criminal that have in this city now give the fucking money!"
"Ok... ok... I'm Thomas Wayne... I have a lot of money... I promise..."
Then he shot twice on the sky again.
"It doesn't matter who the fuck you are! Give me the fucking money!"
"Ok... ok... I'll give to you..."
Then faster he punched the burglar on the face and said to Martha and Bruce:
"Run!"
Then the burglar start to shot on the sky repetidely and Thomas took the crowbar on the floor.
The burglar started to feel dizzy with Thomas' punch that almost went on the floor.
Then Thomas with a crowdar hited him on the legs, then started to hit him on the chest repetidely times.
After all he looked on the burglar almost redeemed and saw how underdog he was. He was not a mafia criminal and not even a murder. He was just an inexperient criminal that want to assault them that night.
At this time with the criminal almost unciosously he looked at him and said:
"I'm sorry, but I can't do this... I'm not a murder..."
Then the bandit started to look at him redeemed for what he did and shot on his chest:
"I'm sorry..."
By this time Thomas started to lay on the floor. He knew it was his moment.
Martha then stopped to scream so loud:
"Nooooooooooo!"
After that he looked at Martha and Bruce he knew it was his end he had that sure.
Then Martha screamed:
"Why did you did that, your bastard?!"
Then Joe answered to her:
"I'm sorry milady... All I want was money to buy some food to eat... I've never killed anyone in my life before..."
Then the burglar started to shake his hands and started to crying and pointed the gun to Martha's chest...
"I'm sorry..." he said crying.
Then he shoted on her, making all of her colar tear on the floor, at this time Bruce started to crying and then he dropped the hand on the floor.
By this time, the police arrived, it was two men and they were with two gun loaded pointed to him. Immediately one of them said:
"Police comissioner Gillian Loeb and tenant James Gordon! Drop your weapon now!"
In this time Joe Chill started to cry and kneel on the floor starring to Bruce crying and then immediately said to him:
"I'm so sorry..."
Then he was underarrested by the police and Thomas, in the other side, watched the scene. It was one of the most beautiful scenes he could ever watch. About how a man could be so human and redeemed of what he did. The burglar never wanted to kill anybody he was just a poor man that want money to eat. He knew by this time, that humanity have hope and everyone could be better people if they want to.
Then he started to watch the sky and peacefully closed his eyes and gave a last farewell to his life.
