Gotham City, 1979

In the same night, Harvey was disfigured by Sal Maroni, he was taken to the General Hospital, the Batman left the shed, but called the cops anonymously. Then he changed his costume, put on bag and go on to its car where the driver was waiting and went back to the mansion. When he arrived, he pretended to Alfred he was gonna sleep and after a while he decided to keep on guard on The Hospital for see if anyone would attack Grace or Harvey.

Grace was sat in a chair with Harvey, crying over all the situation. The police was monitoring the place also, to keep Grace "safe". He knows that the police was corrupt, so he decided to monitoring by himself and see if Grace would be safe.

After some hours passing, Bruce started to get tired of. It was a very exhausting day for him, and he was not used to spend all night watching someone before. So after a while, he automatically closed his eyes and slept.

By that time, Grace was also taking a nap on the chair of the room where Harvey was in the Hospital. She was very tired and desmotivated and started to think a lot of things:

"Ohh, Harvey, who could do something so bad like this to you?" said herself crying.

After some while, she started to feel the will to go to the bathroom, so she stood from the chair and went to bathroom. It was only her there. After some while, someone turned off the lights, then she screamed on the toilet:

"Who's here?"

Then she saw a figure of a man with a hat there with shoes right in front of her. It was Sal Maroni, then he said:

"Now your days are over, cat lady!"

After that she screamed so hard, but it was too late, he gave her two shots and disappeared from the scene.

Bruce woke up immediately after hearing the shots, he checked his binnocular and saw a car disappearing the scene, then he tried to search and saw that Grace wasn't there anymore, only Harvey.

Then he said with himself:

"Ohh my God! No! Not Grace!"

After a while he saw a lot of officers, risen up the stairs and heading towards the bathroom, after a while, they picked a corpse. It was Grace.

"Oh nooo, can't believe I slept on while they shot her, I'm so dumb." he said with himself crying.

"I'm sorry to hear it that, Bat boy." a voice said to him immediately, it was Selina.

"Selina... Have you been watching me?"

"Yes...I saw all the confusion...I'm sorry."

"And why haven't you done anything to stop this to happen?!"

Then she breathed out and said:

"I'm sorry, bat boy... But some things are not from my business, I can't deal with all of the dirty work..."

"No, but you could have stopped this to happen..."

"It's not my type of work, you know that..." interpose Selina.

Then immediately the place got silented and said:

"Look, I have to go. I'm sorry, babe."

Then he screamed:

"Selina, wait..."

And then Selina left the scene.

"Selinaaa!"

After that, he went to his house, very disappointed to himself. He started to thinking if it was worth it to do that kind of job, combating Gotham City's crimes over the night. Maybe he needed to rest, he was too tired and it was Saturday morning.

Some hours later, he woke up, took a bath and went down the stairs. Downstairs, there was Alfred waiting for him, he said in a silent tone:

"Good morning, Mr. Bruce, how are you?"

"Good morning, Alfred. I'm fine, how are you?"

"I'm fine too. You've received a message, an invitation, from Grace Lamont's family. She passed away last evening, such a tragedy."

Then Bruce started to think, he opened up the invited, there was a black and white picture of her, very well dressed. So, after, that, Bruce said to him:

"Oh, thanks, Alfred. I'm sure will be there."

So then he put a black suit and went on Gotham City's cemitery. Arriving there, he found Selina full of a black dress, the same she wore from the last evening and diamond earings and a diamond necklance, the same she stolen on the museum.

Then he sat closer to her and listening to the priest speech over Grace's corpse.

After that she whispered on his ear:

"What a tragedy."

"Yes, Grace didn't deserve this , I wish I could had stopped this to happen to her."

"Well, unfortunetely those things happen... Meet me in my memorial, Bat Boy, I have some things to share with you." said Selina in a cold way.

After that she left the place and Grace got burried near to her grandmother and grandfather, then she said to his parents:

"My deepest condolecences for your daughter, Mrs. and Mr. Lamont."

Then they gave a hug on Bruce and started to cry:

"Ohhh, thank you so much, kid. You're such a sweetheart. Grace was so enchanted to meet you." said Grace's mother crying.

And Bruce said crying back:

"It was my pleasure to had met your daughter too. She seemed to be a very nice person."

Then he stepped back.

He started to thinking about what Selina said to meet her in his memorial. What does she meant with that. After a while, he remembered that she was presumed to be dead because of her family, they never found her body, but they buried her in the cemitery, like she was dead.

Then he went there near to her memorial and found her, starring to her grave.

After that, she said to him, backwards:

"It's funny, you know... I've never told you why I ever loved cats, since it's about how they still have nine lives, like people always said." then she turned around in front of him and gave him a smirk.

After that, Bruce said really coldly.

"What do you want for me, Selina?!"

"Ohh what a rude way to say that to a lady, Bruce." then she smirked to him again. "I found some files last evening, you might be interested. It's about your friend, Harvey."

Then she gave a confidencial document for him, for the Arkaham Asylium.

"Have you stolen it from the Arkaham Asylium, Selina?!"

"Well, it's finders keepers, you know."

Then he started to look on this file. It said that Harvey was diagnosticated with multiple personalities disorder when he was 16 and got interned in the Arkaham Asylium for a little while of time.

"It seems your friend had more secrets you didn't know."

Then Bruce said in an angry note to Selina:

"Why have you stolen this?! This a personal thing, about Harvey, it's not about our business to know that..."

"Well, I think you might would like it...Maybe that's why the mafia was blackmailing him..."

Then Bruce took a breath:

"This is ridiculous! Harvey was such a nice man, this is not what invalidating him to be... Maybe he was suffering more than what I would thought... God I wish I could have helped him. In the end, I haven't save him and Grace like my parents..." then Bruce started to get emotional.

"Well, this what it is, Bat Boy, you couldn't have known. Harvey Dent is a very impulsive man, full of demons, I'm affraid what he can do now since his fiancée is dead..."

"Now you should be satisfied, since he will be doing your dirty work..."

Then Selina looked at him and said:

"Well, maybe yes..."

"You know that's ridiculous, why haven't you save his fiancée when you had a chance and took Sal Maroni down...They thought she was The Catwoman..."

"Because, it's not that simple, Bruce Wayne. Revenge is a dish served cold and the Maroni's crime family never was the main responsible of the fall of my family, yet there's another ones."

"How do you know that?"

"Because I have assaulted a Maroni department and force some henchmen to talk about it, silly boy. And saw on the file, my father was a friend of the Maroni family, they were rivals of another crime family who was the main responsible of the death of my family. That's why."

"You know, that's crazy for me... I think I shouldn't have become a vigilant on this city... You know, maybe Ra's Al Ghul is coming after us, since he wanna kill both of us for betraying him and the League."

After that she left the place.

Meanwhile at 8pm in the hospital, Harvey was laying in a hospital bandaged in one side of his face, while the other remained intacted. Then he started to move their eyes and the nurse of the hospital:

"Hey, doctor, he's waking up."

"Ohh, Harvey, what an unfortunetely time for you to be waking up..." said Doctor Nora Crest.

Then Harvey opened both of his eyes and started to call his former fiancée in a hurtful voice:

"Grace... Grace..."

Then the doctor looked at the nurse and the nurse looked back at the doctor and he asked to her:

"Where's she?"

After that the doctor remained silent and said:

"She's not here anymore, Harvey. I'm sorry."

"Wait, where's she?! I need to see her!"

Then the doctor said:

"I'm sorry, Harvey. She's not here..."

"Where's she?!"

Then he climbed back and taked the doctor by the uniform:

"Where's she?! I need to see her! What have you done to her?!"

Then the doctor started to sweat over it, it was the first time she saw Harvey violent in that way and said:

"Take it easy, Harvey... She's not here... You need to rest..."

"I don't believe in you! Where am I?!" screamed Harvey.

"You're in the hospital, Harvey." said the nurse.

"Why am I with this thing on my face?! I want to see my face!"

Then the doctor said:

"Harvey, calm down... You need to rest... Tomorrow..."

"I don't care about tomorrow! I need to see my face now!"

Then he got out of the bed and pushed the doctor and the nurse and ran into the bathroom, after that, he took the band aid over his face and saw it disfigurated. Then he remembered about what happened with Sal Maroni on that night and started to realize: Grace's dead.

So he started to cry and after some while he closed his fist:

"He's gonna pay for what he had done to you, Big Bad Harv, he's gonna pay, I promise."

Then he started to talk to himself:

"No, Big Harv, but you don't need to do that, you can demonstrated what he had done to you, the justice will deal with that..."

"The justice never solved anything on this city! This city is a trash, thanks to the mafia! It ends now..."

"Harvey, vengeance is never a good way..."

"Vengeance is the only way we have now, Harvey... For Grace..."

Then he flipped a silver coin and it fell on the tailed part. He used to do that a lot, over his pass time. After that he closed his fist and said:

"Let's get this bastard!"

After a while he heard the steps of the police guards who were there coming after him, after that, he escaped from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Bruce woken up sweating from a nightmare he had during this time. He dreamed about Harvey and his parents, and about how he tried to save Harvey from a bridge, but he couldn't and let him transformed himself in that monster. So he started to look at the notes he took from Harvey and from his studies about multiple personalities disorders he had during this time and asked himself:

"What have you been dreaming, friend? A happy dream, a sad dream or both?"

So he touched on his head and after that he went down the stairs. There was Alfread watching the news with the TV turned on.

"Hey, Alfred."

"Hello, Mr. Bruce, how are you?"

"I'm fine, how are you?"

"I'm fine too, actually surprised... I heard the news, Harvey Dent escaped from the hospital a short while ago... The authorities are trying to find him..."

After that Bruce got surprised and started to get worried where Harvey could be, what would be his plans. He remembered what Selina said to him, about how impulsive he is and started to think the possibility of him chasing Sal Maroni and trying to kill him, he needed to stop him immediately.

"Are you ok, Mr. Bruce?"

"Yeah... I'm fine... Thanks, Alfred... I think I need to go... I remember something from work..."

"Ok, sure, don't be late..." mumbled Alfred.

Then Bruce left the scene.

So he went to the Batcave, put his costume and went to Harvey's house.

Arriving there, he saw a police vehicle on Harvey's house and said to himself:

"Oh, great, the cops. Hope my journey doesn't ends here..."

So then, he sneked in the place. There was only the Liutenant Jim Gordon, trying to find any clue where Harvey could be also. Jim was man on the mid his 40s wearing a gray mustache and some hair wax, he was a litte bald also on his hair and with some gray hair around. He also wore a brown suit and a black spectacle glasses.

He was alone on the place when Batman arrived there, so he was checking some files on his desk, some clues he could have where Harvey could be. Then Batman missteped and made some noise.

After that, The Liutenant pointed a gun and screamed:

"Who's there?! Appear now or I'll shot!"

Then Batman thinking with himself: "Holy fuck...", but then he started to slowly appear in the direction of The Liutenant.

"Heyy, I know you! You're that vigilant in the museum, what's your name, son?!"

"I'm... the Batman, Liutenant."

"Yes, that's it! What are you doing here?! This is a crime scene! You're not supposed to be here!"

So then asked Batman:

"I'm with the same intecions than you, Liutenant... Find Harvey..."

"Humm... So you are helping him too?! Look, I'm against the crimes of Gotham since I came here back in 1967... You know I was a very friend from Harvey for some time ago and was really convicted to elect him as a mayor. This city needs a place where people can live pacify together without the mafia... Without you, vigilants! But then he unfortunetely turned to the other side, he got way more radical you know? And now I'm worried about it..."

"I know, Liutenant. I'm here to help..."

"And what about your friend... That cat lady? I know she's been stolen people for some months now..."

"She's not my friend, Liutenant. I'm not with her, I promise..."

Then he remained quietly and after that said:

"Humm...ok...Since you've found me here... Maybe you could help..."

"Thanks, Liutenant."

"Ok, so, I was searching some files about Harvey he left on his desk... But I haven't found anything intersting... I don't even know why the mafia would do something like this to him..."

"I found an document... If you are interested..."

Then the Batman showed to the Liutenant the file about Harvey that he was diagnosticed Multiple Personality Disorder by the Arkaham Asylium.

"Maybe that's why the mafia decided to take him down, they were blackmailing him for some mounths about it... Catwoman was the person who got this... It seems the person who made this to him was Salvatore Maroni, we need to find Salvatore to find Harvey also and doesn't let him do anything for impulse."

Then The Liutenant took off his glasses surprised:

"Oh... Poor, Harvey."

"Do you have any idea where Salvatore Maroni could be?"

"No idea, Batman." Then Jim Gorodn started to think. "But I know a place that is very visited by some gang members with this. I don't know if I'm right, but there's a Casino in the old city... Maybe Harvey could go there."

"So, we need to go, Liutenant. It doesn't hurt to try."

Meanwhile in the Casino, there was a lot of gangster playing in a table. Salvatore Maroni with his family, his son Umberto Maroni, his other son Pino Maroni, Edward Skeever, his brother, Jefferson Skeever, Frankie Angel Carbone, Joe Curly Bandano and Luca Tots Marely were all playing a match of poker in the table, while drinkng some whisky and smoking a cigar laughing.

In this middle time, a man dressed with a double sided black and white suit and with thing in a part of the face appeared. It was Harvey.

Everyone stopped and started to look at him when he entered. So he approached to Sal Maroni and after realizing it was him he said:

"Look who appeared here... You really look so much great now. Seems like someone loses a part of its face huh?!" then everyone started to laugh about it.

"I wanna play a game." said Harvey in a serious tone.

Then Sal Maroni got serious after that.

"Humm, ok, you don't wanna play with your fiancée? Oh, wait... I forgot... She's dead now huh?! Seems you've to play alone your game..." Sal Maroni humiliated Harvey.

After that everyone started to laugh harder about it.

Then Harvey closed his fists and beat strongly on the table.

After that, Sal Maroni made funny with it:

"Oh seems someone lost its mind now..."

"Let's gonna play a game its called heads or tails, head I''ll let you alive, tails you all will die!"

Then every single mafia member started to laugh in the moment and then Sal Maroni said in a funny way:

"Ok, Harvey Dent, let's play it..."

"My name is not Harvey anymore... Let me introduce myself... As Two Face!" then he took out his mask, every single person there got really scared what happened to him.

Then Sal Maroni said:

"Ok, let's do it."

Then Harvey flipped a silver coin and when it hitted the table, the coin flipped to the tail side.

"Ok, so fate is decided!"

"Guys, attack him!" screamed Sal Maroni.

After that, The Skeever brothers tried to get him by the back, but he punched both of them, then others tried to shoot him, but he covered himself on the ground.

Then all the people started to run out of the place and when Batman and Jim were approaching they saw the immense crowd getting out.

So then Harvey took a gun over his suit and started to shot on Sal Maroni's henchmen. Firstly, he attacked the Skeever brothers and killed them. After that, Joe Bandano tried to pick him and screamed:

"Die your bastard!"

Then Harvey shot him on the face and also killed him. After that, Harvey turned back and shot on Frankie Angel Carbone and killed him too. So, Luca Tots Merely, picked him on the back and said:

"Now your going to die"

And tried to shot him, but Harvey ellbowed him and disarmed him, shot him in the face. At this time, Sal Maroni started to run and both of his sons were defending him and shooting him a lot, then they said:

"I'm not going to let you kill my dad!"

At this moment, Batman throws his batrang and Jim appeared to help Alfred, then they screamed:

"Batman, how's that even possible?!"

Then Two Face shot both on their faces and Batman said:

"Harvey, nooo! You don't have to do this, let us help you!"

Then Harvey shot on Jim on the foot and tried to shot on Batman:

"Harvey is not here anymore... Only Two-Face!"

Then Harvey walked away in direction to Sal Maroni.

When he entered on the room where Sal was, Sal giving him a punch on the face and said:

"You killed my chilren! Now your going to die, your bastard!"

Then he started to strangle him to the death and after that, Batman appeared and giving him a punch on the face, then he said:

"How's that even possible, you're not Harvey Dent?! Now, I'm gonna kill you, your bastard!"

Then he tried to punch Batman on the face, but Batman, deviates from his strike. By this time, Harvey picked his gun on floor, a little dizzy and shot Sal Maroni on the chest.

"This is for Grace!" he said.

Then Sal Maroni agonized and died.

So he pointed his gun down on the direction of Batman.

"Harvey, please, you're not like this. Let me help you..."

"Enough! Thanks to you, Grace is dead and the mafia tried to kill me! Now your days are gone, Batman!"

When he tried to shot on Batman he felt a little headache and said:

"No, not you anymore!"

"No, Big Bad Harv, we don't have to kill him, he was not the main responsible for Grace's dead."

"No, but, thanks to him she's dead now, how coward you are, Harvey..."

"No, but he has not to deal with it, let the justice help from it. You already got your revenge...'

"No, it rested him. Ok, let's gonna decide what the coin says about it..."

Then Bruce got impressed to him, when Harvey was turning the coin, Batman saw a box full of coins there, he immediately pushed them, in front of Harvey. Then, Harvey's coin fells to the ground and he couldn't find it:

"No, my coin, I can't decide people's fate without it..." then he started to cry.

Then Batman leaned on his shoulder.

"That's ok, Harvey it's over, let us help you."

Then Harvey started to cry, but surrendered himself to the police.

At the end of the night, Jim Gordon appeared with his foot with gaze and said to Batman:

"Poor, Harvey... Do you think he could be himself again?"

"Where's love, there's hope, Liutenant..." Then he approached to a font and flipped a coin. "But nothing costs to try and see, for you, my friend..." then the coin appeared on the head side.

In the same night on prision there was Harvey talking to himself from what happened:

"Haven't you seen what you've done? Your crazy sociopath!"

"No, but we needed to do that, you're so fool, Harvey Dent, why haven't you shot on Batman when you had a chance?!"

"No, but it's not us who could decide the fate of the criminals, we should let justice decide its fate!"

"You're crazy?! Do you still believe in justice on this city?!"

After a while he heard some noise, caming in his direction on his cell.

Then he screamed:

"Who's there!"

After that a giant figure appeared in his front and gave him three shots.

Then the figure said:

"The Maroni Crime Family send their regards!"

And disappeared.

After that, Harvey started to agonize on the floor of prision, then he started to think about Grace. Then he saw her in front of him and cried to her:

"Grace...Grace... I'm so sorry about it, so sorry I couldn't save you or for everything I've done her. Please, forgive me." said him crying.

Then "she" said to him:

"That's ok, darling. I know it wasn't you."

After that "she" disappeared and Harvey started to cry.

Suddenly, he passed away there.
