Chapter 1
Date: 2011-04-11
Time: 12:40 AM
Location: Brockton Bay, The Docks
POV: Taylor
I just wanted to leave, right then. If things dragged on and I stayed put, there was a very real chance that Lung would give evidence to the rumor that he could grow wings, at which point I would be spotted for sure. I wouldn't be able to beat Lung at this point, anyway, which left only a graceless retreat as the remaining option.
Lung had his back turned to me, so I lifted myself up, slowly. Crouching, I backed up to retreat to the fire escape, watching Lung carefully as I set foot on the gravel of the roof.
As if a gunshot had gone off, Lung whirled around to stare at me. One of his eyes was just a glowing line behind his mask, but the other was like an orb of molten metal.
A victorious roar filled the air, less human than the outcry he had made earlier, and I felt a kind of resignation. Enhanced hearing. The package of powers the bastard got from his transformation included superhuman hearing.
Then just as I figured I was going to be another dead hero, killed far too early in their career, something began to happen between Lung and I.
A swirling vortex of shimmering light was forming. It was difficult to see, and my swarm couldn't get remotely close to the center of it, not with the gale-force winds battering them. But right in the middle, I saw what I thought was a human form taking shape.
It seemed Lung was as stunned as I was, as we both stood there staring in shock as the winds in the middle of the street gained force and the light seemed brighter still. Until it finally stopped in a sudden snap of darkness as the winds and light vanished as if never there. There, in the center of the passed storm stood a man.
Don't get me wrong I wasn't shallow, I appreciated more than just a good body. But this man was simply Gorgeous, White pale skin enough to make the EBB envious, long white hair flowing down to his shoulders, and a muscular tone mixed into his tall and lean body. This man was Glorious.
Then I squeaked.
Yes, squeaked. I could die from embarrassment, never mind Lung. But this man was all but naked, except for a simple loincloth around his waist. Kill me.
It seems the man heard me as he turned from facing Lungs direction towards me and his eyes...they glowed as they seemed to pierce into my soul. Literally glowed. A golden hue shone from them and a knowing smile seemed to form upon his face. It took me a moment to even take in the rest of his features. He seemed young, I'd say around early 20s.
"Sihwean kul thexi Flaxea? He spoke in a deep voice.
I stared In confusion, mouth opening slightly in bafflement.
Understanding my reaction as confusion, the man did some weird dance movement with his fingers pointed towards himself and tried again.
"Who is-"
"Keeee OOOOO!" Charging forward claws stretched out in a massive swipe towards the man. It looked like Lung decided it was time to act now and ask questions later.
I closed my eyes, figuring I would just witness the mans death followed by my own.
It took a second for me to realize I was alive, opening my eyes I saw the impossible.
The man was holding Lung back! His hands outstretched and a golden barrier forming a semi sphere in front of him had Lung straining against it but unable to gain an inch of ground.
And then, I felt it. Hope.
POV: Lord Omnis
Darkness, for what felt an eternity I was enshrouded in darkness. deprived of all tactile sensation, seeing nothing, hearing only the blood coursing through my vessel, and the thumping of my own heart.
One may think this sounded as a punishment, but I regarded it as a gift. Time in which I could reflect. I knew I wasn't dead, I could sense whatever bubble of magic that caused this moving, moving where I could not tell. but where there was movement there would always be a destination.
So as I waited, I pondered upon my dear Savi. Oh what the foolish girl had done. I understand to a degree of course that the calling to aid ones kin is strong, but surely I had taught the girl that my will has no end. That if she simply informed me of the situation I could, and would have ensured her sister was unharmed.
Tensing I felt it, what I would describe as a wall in front of me. It seemed the destination was at hand. Despite preparing myself I still gasped in strain as it felt as if my very soul was slammed into a wall as I collided with my destination in an explosion of light and sound.
Standing, I surveyed my situation. There in front of me a beast of some sort, perhaps a crossbreed of man and drake? It seemed sufficiently confused to turn away from for the moment. Looking around I saw that strange buildings surrounded us and a road of unknown build lay under me.
There, a squeak behind me. Turning I see what could only be a young child dressed in some weird foreign clothing. They appeared to be in shock judging by their statue like stance. I sensed no magis from them so, taking my chance to gain some understanding of my temporary home I cast my mind into theirs and took a peak.
Cape. Saviour? Hero. Angel. Beauty. Fear., Beautiful
Hmm it seemed this child was in need of an Emperors' protection, what better way to become beholden by this new world than to save a child upon my welcoming. First I wanted to know the meaning of this cape that seemed so important in her mind and it was most likely a her based on the nature of their thoughts.
"Who is this cape?" I inquired
Her blank stare quickly corrected me of my foolish assumptions. Of course these people wouldn't speak the same language as my world. Casting a quick and rather easy to perform translation spell I tried again.
"Who is-"
"Keeee OOOOO!"
Only my keen reflexes saved me from being batted aside as if I was a common insect. It appears the drake hybrid behind me had broken out of its daze and acted out as the brute most Drakins were. Though I was shocked this one seemed intelligent enough to attempt language, as guttural as it was.
Casting one of my more powerful shielding spells I blocked the beast's clawed swipe and got a much closer look at this creature as it attempted to brute force its way past my barrier.
Fascinating, I wonder if beasts such as this can be tamed, surely they would make a fine addition to my legions if at all possible.
"Worry not child, under my protection you will be safe" I called out to the youngling behind me.
My words seemed to bring forth some small amount of relief from the child before me. The beast however seemed only to grow angrier. Shaking its head violently and whipping up dirt and fire around with it's wings in-
Wings? Odd I could've sworn this beast didn't have wings a second ago.
Dropping my shield, I quickly incanted my next spell "Motu Inspiri" I hollered, hands aimed outwards as the air rippled forward and slammed into the beast, knocking it into one of the nearby buildings.
Having put enough power into the spell to down a fully grown drake I turned to the girl. "Now then child, could you perhaps tell me where we are currently located. It appears my latest spell flung me much farther from my home than-"
I was flying through the air in the next second, slamming into a building and crashing through it and out the next side.
"By my might, the beast survived" I muttered in shock. Perhaps I underestimated the beast.
Aiming my fingers at the ground I created a shimmering purple platform to stand upon with a non verbal spell. stepping onto it I willed it up, and back to the street from which I was originally.
Leaping off the transparent surface I landed softly on my feet as I once again reevaluated the situation at hand. No doubt this would be an interesting place indeed, if such brutish creatures are remotely commonplace.
"I am not so easily felled, monster" I called out as the Drake continued its previous march towards the child who had started to back away. Though no doubt she wouldn't have had time to retreat far before the beast had her.
A guttural roar echoed from the beast
And it stopped dead in its tracks, looking at me in surprise and a hint of newfound wariness. Fascinating all these signs keep indicating a more keen intelligence than I originally suspected.
I eyed the creature cautiously, seeing that my spell did little harm. My eyes then shifted to my new charge, who was standing still as stone staring at the creature as well. Seeing her make eye contact with me I decided this was no longer a manageable fight If I was also protecting this child.
Mouthing the word "Go" I sent a wave of magic with a casual sweeping motion of my arm to gently urge her back. Thankfully my command seemed effective and the girl quickly turned around and made haste down the road.
Now to deal with this monster. I drew myself up and summoned up another barrier, weaker than the last but without a need to be guided by my hands. Now I could continue to cast offensive spells. Perhaps something akin to how I managed to slay the dragon of Nevereth would work.
Narrowing my eyes I raised my hands in a readied stance. Seems there's only one way to find out.

MairoGleon- I'm not too sure about the length of future chapters tbh. I was originally planning on making them relatively short, but released more frequently, I just figured readers would prefer that. But if a couple of you guys ask, I can totally switch to making longer chapters say, 3-4k over a less frequent period of time.
Draco0905: 1. You read the prologue. So what you read was preceding events to the actual story. That would be why I titled it as Prologue. 2. yes. I was descriptive. Should I have instead made the prologue non-descriptive and boring? I don't see your point. 3. Allmaster is part of the stories title. That's it. it's a rather simple play on words. That's it. That would be why no where in the prologue does the word Allmaster actually get used. You're arguing semantics and it is showing. 4. No. this is not in the wrong section. This is an original character. I could label it as a crossover only if this was an actual crossover with any other published work of literature. which it is not. It is an OC based off of a conceptual original story I have thought up. That's all.
I strongly advise you to learn to be less abrasive in your personality or you will continue to be met with harsh dismissals. There is undoubtedly more I could go into about your seemingly narrow understanding of literature (albeit my own is not perfect), but that would be a waste of my time.
