To the One Who Knows

Diana had to admit, there was more to Akko than she thought. After all that they had been through, Akko wasn't that bad for a trainee witch. She still had much to learn, and frankly, so did Diana.
Luckily, they had all the time in the world for that.
They sat outside, just beyond the Arcturus Forest, close to Luna Nova Academy. The winds were warm and refreshing, brushing past them. Sitting outside was a nice change of pace from the dreary classrooms, the library, and so on. Akko gazed outward, hugging her legs to her chest, as Diana read from her books, silently learning what more spells they both could learn.
Akko hummed to herself, gazing past the woods and looking towards the mountains, tilting her head in curiosity. "Hey, Diana, what do you think is in the mountains?"
Diana looked up from her book, and she shrugged. "You know, I haven't really thought about what could be there, or what we haven't seen yet."
Akko titled her head, an inquisitive look on her face, "Oh, surely you must be somewhat curious. You think there are more magical creatures we haven't seen yet? It could be fun."
Diana smiled, shaking her head. "Akko, there's so much we don't know, I myself have learned that much. But I think that could be fun, thinking about what could be out there, waiting for us."
Akko blinked, and then returned the smile. "You're right, and you know I usually hate saying that."
Diana nodded, and then she reached out a hand, and held onto Akko's, who blushed a deep red.
They had so much to see, and they would do so, together.
