This is a collection of the major events which took place after Ganon's rebirth, it's a little spin I wanted to add to the final chapter, I hope you all enjoy!

The Rebirth of Calamity Ganon

Somewhere deep below the ground lay an evil entity. Malice poured from the body of the long forgotten King of the Gerudo. Malice, his hate in the flesh, had been gathering up for 10,000 long years, and now there was enough of it to fuel his attack on the kingdom which wronged him so many times. He shot the malice up, it seeped upwards through the cracks in the ground, causing tremors all across the land. A somewhat sentient being was created, playing as Ganon's eyes for now. His plan was simple. Infect the Sheikah Technology, kill anyone in his way.

The First Few Hours

Revali

The Rito flew back to his village as quickly as he could. He needed to warn the entire village, try and instruct them to find someplace safe. He landed on his custom-built landing pad before running up the steps to the chief. The chief was looking out towards the castle, Revali was glad that everyone was safe for now. "Will you all be okay?" The chief turned to face him, placing his wings behind his back as he strolled up to the Rito Confidence. "Of course we will, you just head up there and do us proud." Revali nodded, smiling triumphantly as he turned on his heel. "Tell the ladies I said hello, won't you?" He glanced back at his chief over his shoulder. He received a nod before making his way down to the landing pad, using his updraft to soar high up into the sky. He sighed softly as he flew up, alone. That's how he always truly felt. None of the Rito truly knew him, they only knew of his skill and valour and his ability to brag to no end. But he had never opened up to anyone, never had discussed common interests. He didn't really even have friends, except the Champions. He had become rather fond of them. They were, of course, not as gifted as he was, but he was proud to be helping them in this journey. He had also slightly warmed up to that knight, though he wouldn't dare admit it. At least he could know that Hyrule was in safe hands. He landed on his Divine Beast, looking out towards Ganon and focusing himself, preparing the huge cannon of the Beast to fire straight at the Calamity. He closed his eyes and waited to hear the soft hum of the plasma cannon charging up. But instead nothing happened. He looked up and saw a ball of purple crash into Vah Medoh. His eyes widened as he saw a creature appear, made out of the same material which had crashed into the side of his machine. He grabbed his bow before flying up and beginning to rain arrows down on his opponent. The air around him began to shift, he noted that this monster was harnessing the wind. He was dragged back downwards, hitting the ground hard. He was winded, how ironic. He couldn't move, he must've broken something. He stared up helplessly as the sentient malice stared down at him. "Wait till that knight hears about this.." He whispered softly before everything went black.

Daruk

The mighty Goron rolled all the way back to Death Mountain. His people were waiting for him, showering him in delectable rocks, he struggled to resist. "Take shelter! We still don't know what this guy can do! You need to protect yourselves, prepare for the worst! I'll return back down to you all when this whole ordeal is over!" Multiple cheers erupted from his people, he smiled gleefully, standing there for a moment and allowing himself to relish in the attention. He was proud of his people, he had made them fearless. He recalled many days helping them mine and doing whatever he could to ensure that they were constantly comfortable. One Goron stepped forward, holding out a rock. "This one isn't for you to eat, alright big guy?" He took the piece of rock in his hand before staring down at it. It was one of the rocks he'd painted to trick Link. "That little guy is a brother now, he'll lead us to victory in the front line!" They whooped once more before Daruk began ascending the mountain, his people chanted his name for some time before he was out of sight. He stepped onto his Divine Beast. "Alright Rudania, let's show this beast what he's in for!" He smiled with pride before hearing a loud rumbling, he saw some embers of malice coming from the Beast before a large creature appeared before him. He reached for his Boulder Breaker, but the giant creature knocked it off. He grunted angrily before cracking his knuckles and running at it, he slammed his fist into it, but he was the one who received pain. The substance burned his hand, it hurt tremendously. He roared in agony before looking up at the creature which was getting ready to hit him. He activated his dome of protection and stared the beast down. It began to hit the dome, again, then again, and it kept smashing its fist down onto the top of his barrier before it shattered. He gasped in shock before seeing the fist come down on him again, and nothing followed after that.

Urbosa

The Gerudo chief calmly waltzed into her town, her people seemed a little frightened, but with their chief's presence they all seemed to calm down. "Lady Urbosa!" She glanced over towards the bar. "We'll have your noble pursuit ready when you return!" She smiled subtly, nodding at the statement. "Make that two!" She called out before heading in to her palace. Her body guard was standing, cradling her adorable child. "Mother!" The small Gerudo girl ran towards Urbosa and hugged her legs. She laughed softly before patting her daughter's head. "Now, now Liboru, shouldn't you be sleeping?" The little girl looked up at her with a wide smile. "I wanted to see you off!" Urbosa rolled her eyes before crouching down. "Look after the town for me while I'm gone, I'll be back before you know it my little angel. Now off to bed." Her daughter gave her one final smile before skipping upstairs to their room. She walked up to her guard who handed Urbosa her shield and her scimitar. "Stay safe Lady Urbosa." She smirked softly as she turned away from her guard, walking out of the palace. "I'm always safe, Nikeka." And with that she exited the town before traversing through the desert, skilfully hopping on to Vah Naboris. "The princess is waiting, we must make haste." She commanded the Divine Beast up onto a plateau with a nice viewing point. But before she could start firing her laser a giant ball of malice crashed in to her machine. She wheeled around and saw a malicious foe standing in her way, it held a shield and a sword, as though it was mocking her accessories. She focused herself before watching it dash towards her, she parried skilfully before readying herself for another attack. She watched it whip towards her before appearing behind her, before she had a chance to react she felt something odd, she looked down and saw the blue blade sticking through her. She gasped in horror before she was slammed down onto the ground. "Princes.. I'm.. sorr-" Everything faded.

Mipha

Once reaching the water, Mipha dived in and continued her journey back to Zora's Domain. She swam up one of the waterfalls before meeting with her people. "Mipha!" She turned around to face Muzu, one of her closest friends. "Muzu! Come here!" She wrapped her arms around him tightly for a moment before pulling away. "Good luck up there." He told her, she smiled sweetly and nodded. "Of course, and you all stay safe here for me. I'll be back before you know it." She gazed around at her fellow Zora, each one of them she had a close relationship to. She saw them as family rather than citizens of her family's Domain. She looked around, trying to find Sidon, but she couldn't find him. She made her way up to her father's throne where he was sitting peacefully. "I suppose you are heading up there now?" She nodded gently, smiling up at her father. "Yes. Have you seen Sidon?" He thought for a moment before sighing. "He's waiting for you by Vah Ruta, took me a while to decipher his actions." She frowned slightly, it was too dangerous for her sibling there. "Thank you, father, I'll be back to you shortly." He laughed softly before closing his eyes. "I know that, Mipha, I know it." He dozed off and she shook her head as his laziness before making her way to the East Reservoir. She saw Sidon waiting for her on the platform, he was watching her approach him, she could see his smile from here. "Have you come to see me off?" He nodded quickly. She giggled softly before leaning down and placing her hand on the side of his face. "Sidon, I shall be back soon, but for now I want you to lead our people, okay?" Another nod. "You can stay and watch for some time, but return before it gets too late!" He smiled up at her and with that she hopped into the water and began swimming towards Vah Ruta. She climbed onto the platform before beginning to raise her Divine Beast up. She turned and watched Sidon briefly, waving her hand down to him before turning and heading inside. She heard a loud thud on the outer hull, and the machine shook. She noted that the entrances had closed now, she was locked in. She saw a ball of malice begin to form a tall, slender creature in front of her. She yelped before reaching for her trident which she had thankfully left inside. She held it out in front of her and waited to defend herself. But when it threw its spear straight at her, she knew she had no chance. "Link.. I'm so sorry.." And that's the last thing she thought about. Him.

The First Day

Zelda

Zelda had began to make her way to Kakariko village after watching the one she loved get taken from her. Anger dwelt within her as she clutched his sword tightly, holding onto it as if it was the last piece of him that she owned, but it wasn't. She had his tunic on over her dress, keeping her warm, bringing her some comfort. She made her way into the village. People's eyes widened as they gazed upon her, but she ignored their looks. She focused on the small building which rested on the hill, she made her way up the stairs before pushing open the doors and collapsing onto the ground. "Zelda!" She felt arms around her before she was carried upstairs to a bed. She looked up at Impa, taking a minute to recollect her thoughts. "What in the name of Hylia happened to you?" She sat up slowly and clasped her hands together, she made herself small before looking at Impa again. "Me, Link.. We were running here when multiple Guardians attacked us.. I ended up unlocking my powers but Link-.. Link.." She put her head in her hands before feeling Impa's hand gently rubbing her back. "I'm sorry Princess.." She shook her head, trying to hold back her tears for now. "He's not dead.. He has been taken to the Shrine of Resurrection." She pulled out her Sheikah Slate. "Once I'm gone I need you to give this to Purah, tell her I want her to take pictures of multiple locations that I have marked on the picture of the map that I took." Impa nodded softly, Zelda then removed Link's tunic. "And when he wakes up.. Please tell him to save the Divine Beasts, and please return this to him." She looked down at the piece of clothing, frowning softly as she handed it over. "Zelda, you need some rest-" "No! I have many things to do right now, I can't rest now." She stood up and sighed softly. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. Please, Impa, ensure that Link retrieves the memories he needs most, and ensure that you return that to him." Impa nodded sadly before standing up. "Fair well, Zelda." They hugged briefly before Zelda rushed out of the building, her next destination was the Korok Forest.

King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule

After writing in his journal, the ground had begun to shake. Multiple guards waited for him outside his study. He assembled a team of all his knights and guards before commanding all the commonfolk in the castle to flee as quickly as they could. Him and his small team fled the castle on horseback as Calamity Ganon swarmed the castle. "Your higness? Where are we headed?" He wasn't entirely sure. "We'll figure that out on the way." He said through gritted teeth. He wondered if things had gone well for his daughter on Mount Lanyru, he certainly hoped so, for they would need her powers now more than ever. They continued onwards for quite a few hours. A great number of things had occurred whilst they travelled along the landscape. The Guardians and Divine Beasts had been overtaken by Ganon, much to the his dismay. He lowered his head in shame, the only reason his daughter would be the heir to a throne of nothing was because of him, it was his fault that his kingdom was falling into disrepair, he had allowed all of these mistakes to occur and stab him in the back. Some time later they were passing by the Great Plateau when they noticed two Sheikah men running towards them, carrying a body. "HALT!" He yelled, pulling his horse to a stop. He couldn't believe his eyes, Link was unconscious in their arms. "Hop on." He said breathlessly before allowing them to ride along with his group. "Your higness, Link must be taken to the Shrine of Resurrection immediately." Rhoam nodded softly. "Where is my daughter?" He asked softly, hoping for the best yet fearing the worst. "She is okay." He sighed a breath of relief. "We do not know where she has gone now, we believe she unlocked her powers." He smiled gently, he always believed in her. "Let's get him to this Shrine then." He declared. They rode in to the entrance of the Plateau. "Some of you, block it off, we don't want anything following us in!" Some of the men pulled out bows and bomb arrows and began caving in the entrance.

The First Week

Zelda

The princess stepped in to the small village, she remembered seeing Link here those short few months ago. She laughed bitterly at her hatred for him, how she could have even seen him in such a way genuinely surprised her. She had sorely misjudged him, but at least things turned for the better. She paused for a moment, sighing softly. He wasn't going to remember her, remember them . He wasn't even going to remember himself. Zelda longed for what could have been, their plans had been ruined in a single poor decision. She inhaled sharply before making her way over to the pedestal and resting the sword down on top of it. She got down onto her knees before putting her hands together and closing her eyes. "Your master will come for you, until then you shall rest safely here." She wondered briefly if Link ever would return, he could easily just forget about his duty, he could ignore the fact that the Kingdom needed him. She shook her head, focusing on the task at hand. "Although the Slumber of Restoration will most certainly deprive him of his memories, please trust me when I say that I know he will arrive before you yet again." She heard a voice fill the area, she hadn't heard anyone speak in days, it scared her how long she had spent without seeing another living soul. "If I may be so bold.. What is it that you are planning to do next, Princess?" She opened her eyes as she stood up, looking down at the pedestal. "The Master Sword.. I heard it speak to me.. It seems that my role is unfinished, there is still something I must do." Zelda, unfortunately, knew was that unfulfilled role was, a sacrifice which would test her sanity, a lifetime of pain and misery trapped with a beast made of pure evil. "I sense there is great strength in your dedication." Zelda knew Link wouldn't remember her, but she had to relay these words one final time, even if nothing further would happen after this was all over, he deserved to know how she felt. "Great Deku Tree, I ask of you, when he returns, can you please relay this message.." She took a small step forward, to make sure she was heard. "Tell him I-" She halted as she was interrupted, she became frustrated briefly. "Now then.. Words intended for him would sound much better in the tones of your voice, don't you think?" She smiled slightly at that, nothing would stop her from rekindling some sort of relationship with Link, even if it was different. "Yes." She nodded briefly before stooping down and picking the sword up. She raised it a little and closed her eyes firmly before slowly placing it down into its pedestal where it fit nicely. She stepped back, gazing at the sword for a moment, she recalled seeing the fear in Link's eyes as he pulled the sword. Now she knew what he was afraid of, and it was just what had happened, but when it came, he wasn't scared, he was courageous and she admired him more for that. "May I ask? What was it that you wanted to say?" She looked up at the Deku Tree again and smirked softly. "You had your chance to listen old timer, guess you'll find out in the future." She shrugged lightly before turning around and beginning to leave the forest, next she would seal herself away with Ganon until their hero would return and be the light they needed.

The next day Zelda arrived at the castle. It was still enshrouded in a mist of malice, and Guardians were still patrolling the area, but each Guardian came near her soon fell at the expense of her power, all she needed to do was raise her hand and they fell at her feet. She walked up to the castle, seeing Ganon proudly swirling around in the sky. He seemed to notice her, for he began moving down towards her. She raised her hand and began pouring light out, she could feel her body begin to become weightless as she created a portal into a new realm, a realm where she and Ganon would be locked inside together. She closed her eyes, feeling Ganon's presence as she began to fade away. In her final few moments of freedom, she thought of her knight, of Link. And with the feeling of his lips against hers she disappeared into a new realm, and upon opening her eyes, she was surrounded by Ganon, doomed to serve a century locked with this ancient psychopath. For the next century all she would come to know would be pain and misery.

The Great Battles of the Calamity

The Great Plateau

Rhoam and his soldiers soon came to realise that the Guardians were very skilled climbers. The first one had climbed up two days ago, his soldiers had quickly taken it down, hitting it with multiple arrows and piercing it with their swords and spears. Purah had arrived the previous day to place the Sheikah Slate in the Shrine of Resurrection, they had taken great care in allowing her to enter and exit safely, after that all entrances to the Plateau were cut off. Rhoam knew that this would most likely result in their deaths, but they had learned that the first week in the Shrine of Resurrection was the most crucial, for 100% of all the failures only took place in that first week. For this reason, him and the knights had decided to lay down their lives for the future of Hyrule. It was turning dark again, they were seeking refuge in the remains of the Temple of Time, waiting for the next wave. It was relatively intact, only some burn marks were visible on the outside walls. He heard a shout from outside, a signal that the Guardians were on their way. He braced himself, taking out his sword and holding it in front of him. There was silence for a few moments before the wall to his right exploded from a Guardian blast. They came in a large legion, they fought long and hard to fight off the beasts. As the last few were being destroyed, one stray beam shot straight into Rhoam's chest. He fell back, staring up at the ceiling. He saw a few of his men rush to his side, his vision turned blurry. "If.. you ever.. see my.. daughter.. tell her I'm-.. sorry, for.. misjudging.. for doubting.. for not being.. being the father.. she.. deserved.." He let out a final breath, and with that, the King passed away.

William watched the life fade from the King, he so badly wished to relay his words to his daughter, but he didn't expect that any of them would see her ever again. He understood Rhoam's desperation, he wished to tell his own son many things, of how proud he was of how far he had come. But now his dear son was in a coma, fighting for his life, trapped within a cave. He bent his head low, respecting the King after his passing. "Come soldiers, we should bury him now whilst there is a silence in the fighting!" He declared, they nodded in agreement. "Mount Hylia is a good place, there our King can eternally watch over his kingdom." One voice declared, William smiled softly and nodded. The team picked up their fallen leader's body and began carrying him up the mountain at the peak of the plateau. They began to dig a small hole before gently resting his body in. They had no time for a gravestone, instead they made a small tower consisting of rocks to mark the location of the last King of Hyrule. William wondered how Saria was going to manage, she was so close to him and her brother, losing them both would most likely take its toll on the girl. William knew that she always dreamed of travelling to distant lands, he hoped she would set off, escape this terrible land and save herself.

The battles lasted 18 days. Eventually, they ran out of weaponry and food. On the final day, they all sat around in the Temple, singing songs and telling stories of times to be forgotten. They grew closer to each other in their final moments, until the roof caved in and left no survivors.

The Battle of the Akkala Citadel

The Citadel had been attacked, it was one of the strongholds of Hyrule and for that reason it was a target of Ganon's onslaught. James Ramen was one of the knights on duty when the Citadel was targeted. Guardians became coming towards them via the bridge on the first day, they soon used explosives to destroy the bridge and prevent them from ascending. "Holy Hylia! They're climbing up!" James looked down before muttering something foul. He made his way to one of the cannons before loading it and firing a round down, hitting one of the Guardians. Other knights soon followed suit, but they were becoming overwhelmed. As Guardians continued climbing up they began using their weapons to keep the machines back whilst they retreated into the large structure which rested on the top of the tall mountain. They locked themselves inside, hoping that the Guardians would abandon the area, but they soon learned that they were using the fortress for their own gain. They were all scared and frightened, unsure of what to do, so they stayed inside for now, devising a plan. James was laying on one of the metal beds when he heard a high pitched scream from the other room. He went to get off the bed but something burnt his leg. He winced in pain as he looked down, seeing a purple sludge seeping up through the rock. He gasped softly as it continued to rise, he wondered where it was coming from, but there was no time to find out. He got up and began making his way out with a few other soldiers. They managed to barely escape with their lives, they rushed down the mountain before escaping, fleeing from the large stronghold. "What the hell was that?!" One of them called out, James shook his head in dismay before turning to them. "I don't know, but somethin's underneath this mountain, and it sure ain't good news."

50 Years Later

The Sheikah scientists had been hard at work trying to figure out how exactly they could harness the ancient ways of their ancestors in a way to assist their slumbering hero. One such scientist was a musician who vowed to map out the shrines, he had come to learn many ancient songs to aid the hero in finding some of these shrines. He had a history with the Princess of Hyrule, he used to be a musician in the castle, and he had grown close to the Princess at one point, she always seemed so intelligent, and was often misunderstood. It pained him when he learned of her relationship with the hero. But he had witnessed the hero's bravery, after all, he had taken Link to the Shrine of Resurrection. He felt he owed something to the hero for saving the Princess, so he wished to pass on his knowledge of the shrines through song, songs he would pass down to a Rito over the course of multiple years, only to tell the bard to relay these songs to a hero with blue eyes and long, blonde hair in his dying moments.

Robbie and Purah worked hard on their research in an attempt to aid the hero, Robbie focused on crafting ancient weaponry after finally cracking the code on how to forge such weapons. The first tool he created was the ancient arrow, capable of easily killing any foe in one hit, with a few exceptions. He then created a machine which could create all the ancient weapons he designed. He continued to make weapons, waiting for the hero to return. Purah had focused on the Sheikah Slate, she had learned about new runes which could control multiple elements of the area around it. Items could be frozen in time, blocks of ice could be made on water, metallic objects could be lifted with ease, and bombs could be summoned at any point. After learning about these, Purah created her own Sheikah Slate, making quite a good replica. She then began to design upgrades for the four runes, but was only able to make additions to the stasis and bomb runes. She had done as the princess wished and had taken multiple photos of Hyrule before putting the Slate in the Shrine where Link lay. She hadn't enjoyed the sight of seeing him suspended in a pool of water, seeing him floating, trapped in an induced coma. But it was the only way, and so she continued life as normal, well, mostly normal that is, until she managed to reverse her age.

The rest of the Sheikah Scientists had made a fatal mistake. Most of them wished to study malice so they had left for the castle in a group to gather information on the substance. Robbie and Purah had stayed behind, along with Robbie's wife and Purah's partner. The budding scientists were never heard from again.

One. Century. Later.

The Hero awakens.
