Part 2: Thank You (Ron Weasley)
(A/N: Well, by popular demand (and after a long period of
muselessness) I bring you: Da-da-da-DA! Hermione's Response!!!)
The crowd cheered and Harry stepped up to the microphone,
"Thank you Hogwarts! We'll be back later, but for now, kick back and enjoy the
sounds of…" he turned around and whispered, "What's their name again?"
"Sorcery's Child," whispered back Seamus.
"Oh yeah!" he turned back to the crowd. "Sorcery's Child!!"
The crowd cheered as a group of girls walked out onto the
just vacated stage. Lavender and Parvati walked on, Lavender settling in behind
the drum kit and Parvati slinging a guitar over her shoulder. The were both
sulking as Lavender had wanted to be a singer and Parvati had wanted to be the
pianist. Those positions were filled by Hermione. Ginny was to provide the lead
guitar and backing vocals.
Hermione smiled out into the crowd. "Hey, what about the
Fine Young Wizards, they were awesome weren't they?" The crowd roared in
approval. "This goes out to a certain chess master in the audience, you know
who you are." She began to sing:
"My tea's gone cold, I'm
wondering why I got out of bed at all
the morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be gray, but your picture on my wall
it reminds me that it's not so bad

I stayed up too last night, had work to do
my head just feels in pain
I missed the bus and there'll be hell today
I'm late for Charms again
and even if I'm there, they'll all imply that I'm in the Library
and then I see you and it's not so bad

then you handed me quill and all I see is you
and even if I didn't pass a test now, I wouldn't have a clue
