Author's note: I didn't create Zero Wing, but whoever did was obviously better then me. Anyway, All Zig and Zero Wing stuff belongs to it's creator, however, this writing does Belong to me. Anyone who steals it can answer to CATS.

The Nightmare Begins.

The Zig pilot was running towards his ship. Something had gone horribly, horribly wrong. All he knew is that whatever it was seemed to be spreading. First it was the Captain, then a mechanic... Soon everyone on the entire ship was speaking garbled nonsense.

"Move Zig!" Echoed through the corridor as he entered the hangar bay. "Name I have!" The pilot shouted back, then clamped his mouth shut. He hopped in the fighter and began the startup sequence. "For Great Justice!" said the voice through his comm unit. The Zig fighter flew off just as the bigger battleship exploded. "Thank goodness..." The pilot thought as he set course for Earth, hoping to enjoy a little R&R.

Unfortunately, his computer messed up and sent him on a course which lead to each and every occupied base. He swore as he encountered the first area and enemies began to swarm around, filling the sky with fire. He attempted to do a few barrel-rolls to evade the fire, but found that his controls only moved in eight directions. Luckily he managed to dodge everything and return fire, reducing the enemies to pixelated explosions. Eventually, Zig one encountered a large vessel, and after finding the flashing weak spot, blew the thing to kingdom come. "Whew! Glad that's over." The pilot thought as he punched in his course. However, the computer changed it again, and he was off to yet another base.

As the enemies approached this time, he attemped to pull an immelman, but the control stick seemed to have a will of it's own. Even with something else controlling him, he managed to avoid the fire and destroy many of CATS forces. However, there was something he wondered about, After blowing up some troops, occasionally some rather colorful numbers appeared out of no-where. With the numbers and lack of control, he could have sworn that he was part of a larger scenario, sort of like a game. He dismissed that thought and continued to concentrate on the enemies. When this base was destroyed, he continued onto the next.

Eventually, after ten years, he managed to destroy all of the Bases that belonged to CATS. Just as he was about to relax, rather large letters appeared in the inky-darkness of space."Hey, didn't this happen at the beginning of every star wars movie?" The pilot wondered as he watched the words begin to form.

"Congratulations!!"
"AD 2111"
"All Bases of CATS were
Destroyed."
"It seems to be peaceful."
"But it is incorrect."
"CATS is still alive."
"Zig One must Fight
Against CATS Again"
"And Down with them
Completely!" Good Luck.

The Pilot of Zig One sighed. He knew what he had to do.

"Mission....Accepted."

A bright explosion lit up the stars as Zig One exploded. However the ship reappeared again in the same place, unscathed.

"D'oh."

The End.
