When she returned to Capsule Corp, Bloomer was irate. He raged, stormed, and screamed until he ran out of breath.

Or, more accurately, he needed a drink.

His drinking and smoking have increased since the tournament, but whenever she tries to curve him, he admonishes her.

'I didn't think I'd be missed.' Was her stoic response.

'You weren't!'

'Then what's the issue?'

'You not spending time with your son!'

'I doubt he noticed I was gone,' Vegan sighed, 'I doubt he even cares.'

'After what you did,' Bloomer sneered after downing a shot of bourbon, 'why should he?'

Vegan pinched the bridge of her nose and sauntered out of the room.

Trunks was still awake, playing that damn video game of his. Vegan decided to confront the boy and demand to know if they would ever reconcile.

She knocked on the door. 'Trunks?'

'Busy.'

She sighed and opened the door; Trunks sat on the bed, playing with that mindless thing.

'Trunks-'

'I'm busy!' He screamed.

'I want to talk to you about the tournament-'

'I don't want to talk about that.'

'I only have a few questions to ask.' She said. 'Is that alright?'

'Do you want, you will anyway.'

'Please turn that thing off.'

'No.'

'Trunks-'

'It makes being in the same house as you easier to stomach.'

Vegan sighed and sat on the bed, unsure of how to begin. 'Trunks, i-'

'If you're here to beg for forgiveness, then save it.' He said in a flat, toneless voice. 'I can't forget or forgive what you did.'

'Do you still love me?'

'No, I don't.'

'Would you- would you be happier if I were gone?'

'Yes, I would have been happier if you had stayed dead.'

'Ok.'
