Cassia was watched as they all arrived at their destination. She gripped the bars around her, the wind blew against her, and her heart dropped seeing a powerful being come up to them.
She instantly knew who this was. The Rouge Prince himself. Daemon Targaryen. He went over to his men and nephew. He put a hand on Laenor's shoulder and gave the teen a kind smile. Laenor gave one back before Daemon went over to the leader of this group. They spoke in their native tongue.
Cassia watched them. She couldn't hear what they were saying, as they were quietly talking to each other. Daemon walked up to the cage as everyone was ripped out of the carriage. Everyone's wrists were tied together in front of them as they were brought out.
Cassia glared at everyone.
"Take them to the cells." Daemon said boredly. "I have to much on my plate right now." He continued. He then turned around and started to leave.
"Fuck you. Let us go if you say that." Cassia spat at him. She couldn't help it. He was treating them like they were beneath him. She was royalty as well. She was up there with him in standing!
He stopped and turned to look at her. She glared at him still. "Bring her to me to the barn." He ordered and walked away.
Laenor was with two other soldiers as they dragged Cassia to the royal barn, where the royal's horses stayed. She attempted to struggle, but from her lack of sleep, food, and water, she wasn't strong enough to struggle enough.
Laenor stopped them and picked Cassia up. "Save your energy. Don't show him weakness or fear." He whispered to her. He then went back to walking.
When they got there, she looked around. She was sat back down on her feet as Daemon walked up to them. "You could lose your tongue for speaking out like that." He told her. "But that would be quite the shame if we killed a beautiful girl like yourself." He continued as he circled her and looked her over.
Like a wolf does his pray before attacking.
She watched him stop in front of her and spat at his feet in rebellion. He looked down at his shoe that now had a wet spot from her spittle. He then looked at her through his hair with a grin. "What spirit you have." He told her amused.
She just kept glaring at him.
He grabbed her chin and lifted it so he could examine her face more closely. But that's when she smacked him with her bound hands and made a dash for her people. She needed to find them and get them out of here.
But she was grabbed by her hair and thrown back onto the ground with a yelp of surprise and pain.
She was grabbed and pulled off the ground by a man who was there watching. He held her still while Daemon walked over to her. No blemish on his pale skin from her hit. Probably because she didn't really have the strength to hit him harder.
She started cursing and threatening him in her own native language, not realizing till it was to late that it was Fae language that she was yelling.
Fuck.
Daemon raised an eyebrow at her words. "Move her hair." He ordered the man holding her. Cassia tried to get away. "If you keep acting out, I will start killing the others that were brought with you." Daemon warned her, now tired of her antics.
Tears filled her pretty eyes and flinched away as her neck was touched to move her hair. She looked down to hide her watery eyes as her pointed ears were revealed.
"Fae my Lord." A guard whispered surprised. Never thinking they would see a Fae. "You said that you were told they killed the royals of the carriage?" Daemon asked his head soldier. The man nodded. "In fact. It was her who said it." He answered.
Daemon nodded and went to her, making her look at him once more. She went back to glaring at him, even with her tear-filled eyes. She failed her people.
"What is your name?" He asked her. "Go to Hell." She snapped at him. "One day I will. But for now. What is your name. And the truth. Your traveling partners lives are on the line." He warned her once more.
She moved her face out of his grip, and tried to make herself taller.
"Princess Cassia. Daughter of King Severus and Queen Aurelia. King and Queen of the Fae." She told him. Daemon grinned that grin of his that she wanted to claw off his face. "And why were you trespassing?" He asked her.
"I was traveling to my future husband. Who will rage war on you for kidnapping us. I am expected." She informed him, hoping it would help get them all out of here. He asked her who her husband was to be, and when she told him, he busted out laughing at her.
"He is a megger man. One would tremble under my shadow. A waste. He wouldn't even be able to satisfy you in bed princess." He taunted her. "Silence your tongue bastard. I will have your head for this whole thing." Cassia boasted.
Her words obviously amused him, as he kept laughing at her.
"I like your fire." He turned to his nephew. "Take her and have the maids clean her up. She can hardly stand anymore, make sure she eats as well." He ordered Laenor. Leanor nodded and went to Cassia, who didn't realize till now, that she was shaking from weakness.
Laenor picked her up once more and went to do as he was ordered.
Daemon watched her as his nephew took Cassia away. A dark grin coming to his face.
A princess on her way to be married. Her beauty would be wasted on that idiot prince she was traveling to. No. He couldn't allow that. She would be best in his bed. Carrying his children. Moaning his name. Becoming his queen.
"Go tell my brother I wish to speak with him." He ordered a slave as he made his way into the palace. The slave nodded and rushed off.
