Currently, Daiji was with Kai and Shun in a park. Daiji had a disinterested look on his face and he looked at Shun and Kai. Shun was currently talking with Kai while he was having Kai try on several necklaces. Daiji sighed then said,"How did I end up here?"
"We came by your home and you decided to come with us.",Kai bluntly said.
"I meant how did I end up waiting for monsters to show up so I could find out why I'm a part of some weird games.",Daiji said in annoyance. Kai nodded and was about to speak but Daiji told him,"That was a rhetorical question Kai."
Kai closed his mouth.
"Oi, don't be so mean Daiji-kun: Kai-chan was simply answering the question you posed.",Shun said, putting a silver chain necklace to Kai's neck.
"I'm not being mean, I'm just annoyed. There hasn't been a monster sighting in the last nine days and I'm no closer to getting answers.",Daiji said, his voice showing his annoyance.
"Ah, you can't be impatient. Answers shall come when they do.",Shun said, putting a pearl necklace around Kai's neck. Shun then stepped back and smiled,"Yes, that fits you perfectly Kai-chan."
Shun then took out his phone and he took a selfie with Kai, himself smiling while Kai just stared blankly. Shun then showed Kai the picture and Kai said,"I like this."
Shun clapped happily then said,"Now to paint you, or should I make a sculpture of you."
Shun's face showed anticipation and excitement as he spun around,"Ah, the possibilities to capture Kai-chan's beauty are endless!"
Daiji and Kai stared at Shun then Daiji said,"You two sure have gotten close."
Shun looked at Daiji,"Of course we are. Kai-chan and I are friends now. As I seek to bring his beauty out for the world to see, I also seek to help him feel emotions as he wants to."
"Uh huh. Why do I get the feeling you and Kai are becoming more than friends?",Daiji said while crossing his arms. Kai looked at Daiji and was about to ask something but he was then knocked to the ground by someone falling out of a tree on top of him. Daiji's eyes widened while Shun gasped.
The person and Kai sat up, then Kai looked at the person as they said in a feminine but somewhat deep voice,"Sorry 'bout that."
The person that landed on Kai was a Hispanic young woman with long brown wavy hair and tattoos on her left wrist, right index finger, and right bicep. This woman currently wore a faded black zip up hoodie over a violet muscle shirt, navy blue basketball shorts, and black and violet high top Nike's. She also had a hat on her head which she wore backwards.
This woman stood up then she looked up at the tree while saying,"Pensé que esa rama sería capaz de sostenerme. Supongo que estaba equivocado. "
Shun and Daiji gained confused looks while Kai said,"Estos árboles no son tan fuertes. los del bosque son mejores para estar adentro."
The woman looked at Kai with surprise then she said,"You can speak Spanish?"
Kai nodded,"I know English, Spanish, French, and Russian."
The woman gained an impressed smile then she said,"Nice to meet someone in this country who's learned more than one language. Well besides my family who know English and Japanese."
Shun gained an excited smile then he said,"Amazing, Kai-chan. You continue to have more beautiful aspects of yourself revealed."
The woman looked at Shun as the man came up to her saying,"And you miss, you have much beauty in you."
"Uh… thanks? Could you maybe focus on your boyfriend here and not me?",The woman asked, being noticeably uncomfortable with how Shun was acting.
"What's a boyfriend?",Kai asked in his usual apathetic manner.
"Okay I'm gonna drop this right now. Could you maybe tell us who you are.",Daiji chimed in.
"Name's Victoria but I go by Vicky. What's your name?",The woman now known as Victoria said.
"My name is Daiji. The apathetic guy is Kai and the beauty police is Shun.",Daiji said, gesturing to Kai and Shun when he said their names.
"Oi, I am no beauty police.",Shun said while putting his hands on his hips. Kai then looked at Shun and said,"One of your hairs came out of place."
Shun quickly took out a pocket mirror and began fixing his hair while saying with some distress,"Ah, I knew I should've conditioned my hair this morning instead of waiting till later on."
Vicky and Daiji looked at Shun with raised eyebrows then Daiji asked Vicky,"Why were you in the tree by the way?"
"Oh I was looking for someone. This gonna sound weird but like a week or so ago, I got this weird buckle thing and was told I am a participant in some kind of game.",Vicky explained while taking out a buckle device. Daiji looked at the buckle then he pulled out his and Vicky's eyes widened. She then looked at Daiji and said,"You were in that room too!"
"Yep. So we're Kai and Shun here.",Daiji said nonchalantly.
"Whoa, then you guys could help me. The person I'm looking for turned into a monster two days ago and has been avoiding me ever since.",Vicky said.
Daiji thought about it for a sec then said,"Yeah sure. I'm trying to figure out why I was put into these games or whatever and need to fight in order to do so."
"Hmm, cool goal. I think I will help you with that.",Vicky said with interest. Daiji and Vicky then turned to Shun and Kai, seeing the two talking with Shun just looking at Kai with affectionate eyes while Kai talked about something.
"What about your friends?",Vicky asked, pointing at Kai and Shun.
"Hey guys, we're going to look for a monster. You gonna tag along?",Daiji asked.
"No, Kai-chan and I will see you later, Daiji-kun. Nice meeting you Vicky-chan.",Shun said while taking Kai by the hand and walking away. Kai followed Shun, seeming to listen intently to Shun. Daiji and Vicky just stared at the two then Vicky said,"So, are they a thing?"
"I don't think so, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were.",Daiji said while scratching his head.
Kai and Shun were now in a boutique together with Shun looking through a rack of clothes. Kai looked at Shun then he said,"Shun,"
"Yes, Kai-chan?",Shun questioned while looking at Kai.
"Why are you interested in me?",Kai asked bluntly. Shun chuckled then he said,"Like I told you, I want to bring out the inner beauty in you and help you gain emotion."
"That's not all of it.",Kai said. Shun raised an eyebrow at this.
"It seems like there is more to you helping me. I can see how you look at me and bite your lip or how you hold my hand but not Daiji's.",Kai explained. Shun was going to speak but then he thought about it before saying,"I never noticed I was doing that. I am sorry for doing so."
"You don't need to be sorry. I like that you do those things.",Kai said. Shun's eyes widened at this.
"I've never experienced this, most people ignore me because of my apathy but you and Daiji have embraced me in the days we've known each other.",Kai explained. He then bowed,"Thank you, Shun."
Kai then began looking through clothes, clearly not understanding what he's doing. Shun just stared at Kai, gaining an enamored smile while looking at Kai with affectionate eyes. He then moved closer to Kai and said,"Let me help you, Kai-chan."
Kai nodded, his face showing some surprise briefly before going back to his apathetic expression.
Back with Daiji and Vicky, the two were walking down the street together, talking and looking out for the monster. Vicky had a confused yet pondering look on her face as she said,"So, you are the avatar of Spirit, Kai is the avatar of Blood, Shun is the avatar of Beauty and we all are participants in something called the Game of the defiant? Shun is also able to see someone's inner beauty and Kai is clinically apathetic which explains why he acted like a robot."
"Yeah, that sums up everything I just told you.",Daiji said while putting his hands in his pockets. Vicky let out a deep breath then said,"And I thought I was the most out of place thing in most cases. Well I usually am considering I am a Canadian who was adopted by a Japanese family."
"I'll be honest with you, I find you to be way more likeable than most I've met. Though I'm not a people person usually.",Daiji said.
"Eh, neither am I but I am finding you to be pretty cool Daiji.",Vicky said with a smirk. Daiji and Vicky chuckled, then they stopped at a crosswalk. Vicky sighed then she said in annoyance,"Where the heck is this stupid monster?! Not like it can hide in a city full of people."
"We are in Tokyo, so it probably could depending on where.",Daiji pointed out.
Suddenly, a monster rocketed past Daiji and Vicky's face, crashing into a nearby car. The monster looked to be made of stone but its body was held together by a sphere in the middle of its torso that was glowing violet.
"There's the monster I've been looking for.",Vicky said with a smile while pointing at the monster. "But how did it get tossed over here like that?"
Daiji looked to where the monster came from and turned Vicky's head so she could see someone walking up.
This person was in armor and he had a buckle device on his waist which had a symbol in the middle of the eye which was blue and looked like a stylized crescent moon in a crystal. His torso armor was that of a sleeveless coat that had pauldrons, no sleeves, was blue in color, had a stylized crescent moon on the front of his torso, and the coat tail went down to just above his knees and had burgundy oval's on the side. This man's pauldrons were blue and had burgundy circles on top of them. This man's forearm guards were primarily blue with a burgundy oval on the top and bottom of them. This man's boots were pointed on the toes and were blue in color having burgundy knee pads connected to them. All this armor was over a light blue undersuit which had one blue crescent moon on each bicep and thigh and had light blue gloves. The helmet of this man was light blue for the most part with top having a desperado hat on top that light blue on the front point of the brim and top of the hat while the rest was blue and it had a rectangular burgundy visor which had a were mouthplate under it. This man also had a black hilted wakizashi sword in his right hand.
"Now come on, monster. I'm just warming up."The armored man said in a mocking tone while walking towards the monster. He then stopped when he noticed Vicky and Daiji and he said,"Vicky? What are you doing here and who's this guy?"
"Ren? Is that you?",Vicky questioned.
"You know this guy?",Daiji asked.
"He's the brother I was talking about. Can't believe he's an avatar too.",Vicky said with a smirk.
The armored man chuckled, then he said cockily,"I'm called Moon when like this."
Moon then turned his attention back to the monster before charging towards it. Vicky and Daiji put their buckles on then Vicky said,"Gravity change." while pressing the button on her buckle, causing it to announce,"GATE OPEN!"
The symbol in the eye of Vicky's buckle was violet in color and look like a circle within a cartoon jagged shockwave which was enclosed in a circle and connected to it by what appeared to be electricity. A violet sphere with rings of surging energy that had armor on them engulfed Vicky before forming armor on her.
Vicky had mostly violet armor with the chest armor having the breasts portion red and having blue fur on the hem above her midriff. The shoulder pads were somewhat bulky and were primarily violet with a sideways red hourglass shape in the middle of them. Her forearm guards were violet with a red stripe wrapping around it and blue fur on the elbows. Vicky had violet armor on her thighs and knee pads. Vicky's boots ended just below the knee and had blue fur on the hem and were violet with a red v like stripe in the middle of the shin and calf. This was all over a red undersuit with red gloves. Vicky's helmet was primarily violet with a large red stripe around the portion where the visor was, with the visor being two blue compound eyes and had a high ponytail of mostly red wild hair that was violet in color towards where it was connected to the helmet.
"CONTROL THEIR MASS, AVATAR OF GRAVITY!"Vicky's buckle announced as two large machetes appeared in her hands. The right machete had a black hilt and was red with a violet edge. The left machete had a black hilt and was blue with a violet edge.
"GO FORTH, AVATAR OF SPIRIT!"
Spirit and Gravity then charged towards the monster.
Moon dodged a punch from the monster then Spirit and Gravity passed him. Spirit jumped up and kicked the monster before he quickly got to his feet and punched its torso. He winced while stepping back and saying,"Ow, that hurt."
Gravity slashed the monster across the torso then she slashed it again before pushing the monster backwards. Spirit was about to follow but he was grabbed by Moon. Moon turned him around then shoved him to the side while saying,"Out of the way."
Gravity slashed the monster once again then she was hit in the torso and sent backwards. Moon ran up to the monster and kicked it in the face before slashing it three times. He then easily dodged several attacks, stepping back with each dodge.
Spirit run up and punched the monster as hard as he could, causing it to roar in pain. He then reeled back and shook his hand in pain. Moon shoved Spirit out of his way and was going to slash the monster but he was promptly hit in the chest, causing him to go flying back into a lamp post.
Gravity jumped high into the air then she pressed the button on her buckle causing it to say,"GRAVITY FINALE!"
The monster was tossed into the air, by a orb of gravity. Gravity's machetes were now covered in surging violet gravitational energy before she slashed the monster in half before it exploded.
Gravity narrowly made an orb of gravity under herself which broke her fall slightly. She landed on the ground with a thud then she said,"Okay, I gotta work on my landings."
Spirit walked up to Gravity, helping her up, then he asked,"How come I didn't get a weapon but you, Kai, Shun and this other guy did."
Gravity shrugged while stabbing her machetes into the ground and dusting herself off. Spirit grumbled in annoyance then he was suddenly slashed in the side by Moon.
"What the? Ren, stop.",Gravity said while putting her hand on Moon's shoulder. Moon moved Gravity's hand then he said,"Stay back sis. I'm dealing with this guy."
