AN: Hello everyone! Chapter 2 is here. Thank you to all who left reviews and followed/favorite the story. Also thanks to fencer29 who left a review letting me know that I wrote Mitsuki instead of Katsuki a couple times on the last chapter; I don't know where my mind was (on his mom obviously) and also thanks to JustJack who left a review about the story I mentioned at the start of last chapter. The story was named "Time-Traveling Babysitting Service" written by darklogic. It's sad because the story had an interesting plot, but it was last updated two years ago so I'm guessing it's discontinued now. Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter!
It's been about a week since Izuku's fateful encounter with his alternate self. It was still fresh on his mind, but felt so surreal. The time was almost up and the anticipation to see if a portal was going to pop-up was killing not only him, but some of his classmates too. He could see the anticipation mostly on Mina who talked to him daily about it, asking questions that he wasn't able to answer; He felt better knowing that he had the support from his friends and some teachers who had spoken to him.
It was nearing the end of the class, at this time he had Heroics class with All Might, however he barely payed any attention to the class. It had been like this for the past days, it was around this time when the portal had opened last time.
A gust of wind blew and Izuku inhaled sharply as he looked at the entrance of the classroom, there he saw blue sparks appearing. More and more sparks appeared until a portal once more formed. This time, instead of stumbling onto the floor, DeusEx walked out of the portal and looked at everyone on the classroom before smiling widely.
"This time it was smoother. Hello again everyone!" -the man smiled and some of the students shot up their seats and stormed him
"Is it time? Did you bring anyone?" -asked Mina jumping in place and while DeusEx smiled at her antics. Izuku slowly got up from his seat looking at the portal.
"They should be here in a second" -DeusEx said and stepped aside motioning the teens to clear the space around the portal. Izuku held his breath in anticipation while Mina looked like she was about to burst. After a couple seconds a figure emerged from the portal, a woman wearing a long-sleeved pink blouse with black pants. However the woman's outfit wasn't what called the students attention, her face was very familiar to everyone in the classroom. The woman had a round face with short brown hair, large brown eyes and pink blush on her cheeks. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that this was a slightly taller version of their classmate Ochako Uraraka, but Izuku's attention was put on a small girl that was clinging to her. The girl looked not older than five years, had her mother's short brown hair and face shape but, she had green eyes and freckles. Izuku looked at his classmate Ochako who met his gaze, both of them blushing up a storm as the realization came in.
"Hello guys! It's so nice to see you!" -said happily the grown-up Ochako, while the little girl on her arms cuddled closer to her while her eyes scanned the room curiously. Ochako walked to the front of the class to meet her other self.
"This is kinda weird, hello little me." -said Ochako to her other self while the little girl on her arms perked up.
"Mommy, why is there a smaller you here?" -the little girl said and most of the students melted when they heard her small voice
"Remember what we talked about honey? About how you were going to stay a couple of days with a shrunken daddy? Well, it looks like there's a shrunken mommy too!" -the little girl eyes' lit up
"Hello small mommy!" -she said with a smile while looking at Ochako who felt her knees almost gave up. She extended her arms and took the girl front her counterpart, the girl smiled and let herself be lifted by the teen.
"What's your name?"
"My name's Nana, I'm four years old!" -she said proudly and Ochako pulled her close into a hug, her eyes watering.
"She's so adorable" -whispered Ochako to her older self who smiled
"I know, right?" -both of them giggled and in a blink of an eye Mina was all over them
"Hello Nana-chan! Oh my god you're so adorable. I always knew that you and Midoriya-kun would be so cute together" -the girl looked at Mina for a second and then smiled at her.
"Mina-sensei, you're also small!" -she said happily and extended her small arms at Mina who eagerly took the child in her arms
"Sensei?" -asked Ochako to her counterpart
"In my world Mina-san is a part-time teacher. She has helped us teach Nana numbers and the alphabet" -said the woman while Mina looked starry eyed.
"How's Ashido a teacher? She gets grades as bad as mine!" -asked Denki. Some of the students tried not to laugh while Mina shot him a glare.
"Mina-sensei is the smartest! She knows everything in the world, right sensei?" - asked the little girl while Mina puffed her chest proudly
"Of course my young pupil! Mina-sensei is the best" -boasted the pinkette while the older Ochako giggled. More of the girls got closer to the child who tried to take in everyone's faces.
"Aunt Tsu!" -she said happily while recognizing the girl. Tsuyu smiled and took the kid from Mina's arms, Mina pouted sadly
"Hello Nana-chan, kero." -said the frog-like hero. Her classmates surrounded her and Izuku felt someone tap his shoulder, he turned around and he gasped as he saw the face of the other Ochako close to him
"Hello Izuku-kun. Wow this takes me back" -she said giggling at Izuku's blushing face- "I just wanted to talk for a bit while everyone is distracted with Nana-chan" -Izuku nodded focusing his attention on her. He also noticed that DeusEx and All Might were not in the classroom anymore.
"I just wanted to tell you a couple of rules for taking care of her. First, here are some things that you may need" -she said while handing Izuku what looked to be a small silver colored metal box
"That's a storage box created by my Mei-chan" -said DeusEx scaring Izuku, he didn't even saw him enter the room again- "be careful when opening it, touch the green button and make sure the coast is clear, it grows a bit" -Izuku nodded and Ochako continued
"She's allowed to eat sweets, but don't go overboard. Also she's only allowed to watch cartoons in the morning. There's things to keep her entertained on the box, but she likes to go to the park. I know that that might not be possible, so try to distract her in some other way, ok?" -she asked and Izuku nodded
"Where's Uncle Kacchan?" -Izuku heard Nana ask loudly. The explosive teen who was seated in the back trying to ignore his classmates looked at the girl. He saw all of his classmates eyes on him.
"Uncle, uncle! You're small too!" -the girl happily skipped towards the teen who scowled at the girl, before he could say a word he felt the murderous gaze of his classmates on him. Alter-Ochako walked to the small girl and took her into her arms.
"Nana-chan, who's your favorite hero?" -she asked the girl who smiled and proudly proclaimed
"Nitro!" -she exclaimed happily while pointing at Katsuki who just blinked
"Me? That's not my fucking name!" -yelled Katsuki and a scowl formed on Nana's face
"Uncle Kacchan said a no-no word again!" -she extended her hand to him and Katsuki had a confused look on his face- "you have to pay the fine" -she said angrily and Katsuki looked upset
"I'm not paying anything you Chibi" -he said and the girl pouted angrily, which just make her look adorable in some of the teens' minds.
"You have to pay the fine! Or else I'm telling Aunt Setsuna!" -the girl threatened and the boy just looked even more confused.
"Now now Nana-chan, this Uncle Kacchan doesn't know about the swear fine, so I think we can forgive him this time ok?" -asked the mom to her daughter who pouted, obviously not happy but said nothing else.
"Why don't you tell Uncle Kacchan about what he does on the TV?" -she asked and the girl jumped into the lap of the perplexed teen, while she excitedly started retelling what sounded like an episode of a Saturday morning cartoon. Ochako returned next to Izuku.
"Katsuki-san and Nana-chan are very close. He always volunteers to take care of her if we're both busy" -said the older Ochako and Izuku looked surprised
"I would've never guessed that Kacchan would've been good with children" -said Izuku and Ochako giggled.
"I think it came with age. But for some reason kids love him. He's so popular with them, he has movies, TV series, cartoons, toys, his own brand of cereal, a lot of things. And it sells out so quickly. Izuku-kun might be the number 1 hero in the rankings, but when it comes to income, Katsuki-san has everyone of us beat." -Izuku was once again surprised to hear that one of his versions was the number 1 pro hero, but also surprised to hear that apparently Kacchan had more money than any of them.
"Anyways, DeusEx-san explained the situation to you right?" -Izuku nodded- "I see, thank you very much Izuku-kun, the situation is pretty dire right now, but at least I know that Izuku-kun and I can focus properly on the battle knowing that Nana-chan is safe in here." -Izuku nodded at her
"Don't worry, you and Deku can trust me to take care of her while she's here" -said Izuku with a smile, but Ochako asked
"Deku? Who's Deku?" -Izuku got confused.
"Isn't that my hero name? Well, not mine... you get it"
"Well no, my Izuku's hero name is Powerhouse"
"Is his quirk different from mine?"
Izuku and Ochako talked for a while. Apparently the Izuku from her universe had multiple Quirks, she told him that in her first year along his super strength he had a Quirk that allowed him to levitate and later awoke others. Izuku thought it would be really cool if he had those Quirks too.
After their short conversation alter-Ochako and Nana shared a tearful hug saying how much they would miss each other.
"Be a good girl, don't cause any trouble ok?" -the little girl nodded at her mom with tears in her eyes
The woman shared a quick hug with Izuku and then with her younger counterpart and quickly jumped into the portal, Izuku could see that she was still crying.
"I'll be back again in a couple days ok? There's more where she came from" -said DeusEx to Izuku
"Why didn't you bring your child first DeusEx-san?" -Izuku asked the man
"Mei and I only have "babies" not kids. However I plan on changing that if we survive this" -said DeusEx with a mischievous grin, Izuku smiled at the man who waved and hopped through the portal as it once again closed behind him.
Izuku looked at his classmates and saw some of them talking to a happy, but still a little teary Nana who loved being the center of attention, he could see that Kacchan was once again sitting alone in the corner of the classroom and looked angry, but also embarrassed for some reason. Izuku approached Ochako who was looking at the scene smiling.
"S-so, what's going on?" -asked Izuku to the girl who blushed a little and smiled at him
"Nothing much. Mina-san and Toru-san are asking questions to Nana-chan about her world. Besides you and me being together... NO, no, not you and me, I meant them" -the girl was blushing hard and Izuku laughed awkwardly trying to not lose consciousness- "apparently Bakugo-san and Tokage-san from class 1-B are together, also Mina-san and Kirishima-san" -Izuku guessed that his blonde friend's mood was due to them teasing him about that.
"Daddy, can we have a snack? -asked Nana suddenly, looking at Izuku, the boy started panicking and since class had already finished, everyone decided to head back to the dorms.
A few days before Cementoss had constructed an annex to the 1-A class dormitory where it was planned the "visitors" would stay. So Izuku and some of his classmates went to the annex to help Nana sort her things. Izuku opened the box that mom-Uraraka gave to him, the box grew in size until it was as big as the bed.
"That's a lot of Bakugo brand merch" -said Kyoka while looking at the contents of the box. Izuku noted it too, Nana's bed sheets, some of her pajamas, even a plushie of the explosive hero. His hero costume was different however. Instead of a grenade-theme, it had a dynamite theme.
"Bakubro, you have to come and see this!" -yelled Eijiro while walking to the main room where the other teen was trying to ignore the noise.
After the girls finished fawning over the girl's clothes and had her room set, Nana gave Izuku what she told him was a video player. The device was hooked to the TV on the common room and while Rikido
was making cupcakes, at Nana's petition, the girl had already made herself comfortable on the couch and had Izuku and Ochako at her sides. Both of the teens were blushing but observed curiously as the girl expertly navigated the menus of the device. Unfortunately for the teens most of the videos and movies were Nitro related, she even had the holiday specials saved. After a bit of convincing Nana played an action movie that featured heroes none of the teens knew, Izuku suspected they weren't real heroes, just some made up for the movie. It was a cheesy hero movie as it was obvious that it was meant for kids, but everyone had a good time. After the movie finished, it was already late for the small girl, so Ochako and the girls of the class decided to get her to her bed. After asking for her plushie the girl went to sleep peacefully.
A couple days wnt by and Izuku learned a lot about Nana's personality. He teared up when he noticed just how much she was like him, like his "Hero obsession". While Nitro was her favorite hero, she remembered a lot of information about the quirks of other heroes, there were some that he hadn't even heard of, so he assumed that it was a difference between universes. She also talked about his mom, Grandma Inko, and Izuku debated with himself if bringing her mom to the school was a good idea.
However the girl was nowhere near as shy as him, the girl had the attention of everyone and she loved it. She got along with all of his classmates (except for Minoru, who she disliked for some rude comments she heard him make), but she was really attached to Katsuki, Tsuyu, Mina and Setsuna who made a habit to visit the 1A dorms to tease Katsuki after she heard a rumor going around on the school. Nana also had gotten close to Kyoka because she was learning to play the keyboard and the teen was more than happy to teach her a couple songs for kids and give her pointers. She was also really close to him and Ochako, however even though she called them Mom and Dad she was smart enough to know there was a difference between them and her actual parents.
During the day while Izuku had class, Aizawa took care of Nana, except when he was giving classes, in that case he took her to the class with him. During the evenings it was Izuku and whoever volunteered took care of her. Thankfully volunteers were abundant. It was a bit tiring but he didn't mind, Nana was adorable, he only was a little worried since if he was getting tired looking after one kid, then how tiring was it going to get once DeusEx brought more kids into the mix.
Omake: It was around noon. Katsuki was tired from the day before and since today there were no classes he decided to sleep in. He went down to the kitchen to have something to eat, on the way he noticed that some of his classmates were watching the TV along with Nana. Denki saw him coming down the stairs
"Yo Bakugo! We're watching a cartoon, wanna join us?"
"Why would I want to watch fucking cartoons?" -yelled the blonde and Nana pouted angrily extending her arms towards him, on her hands there was a jar almost full of coins. Saying nothing the explosive boy took a coin out of his pocket, and put it in the jar, trying to evade eye contact with her. He happened to look at the TV and saw a cartoon version of who he assumed to be himself from Nana's home. He gave a frustrated sigh, there was no way in hell he was going to sit down and watch a cartoon about himself. Just as he was about to leave the room, Eijiro spoke loudly.
"Man, this cartoon is great. My favorite part was when Nitro said "It's explodin' time" and then he exploded all over those guys" -the others tried not to laugh, except for Denki and Minoru who were openly laughing and Katsuki was furious
"There's no way in hell I would ever say something as stupid as that!" -he said placing another coin in Nana's jar, then ended up sitting with the rest to watch the cartoon, just to verify that his lookalike didn't actually said those things.
AN: And that was Nana's chapter. Sorry about the omake, the joke came to me and I had to write it. Next chapter will be about another little one, however Nana is still there, so we shall see how they interact. Hope you guys are looking forward for the next one. See you next time.
