I sigh as I tighten my belt, needing to keep Eddie's jeans up for the rest of the day. Wren stayed over at Robin's house last night with Madison and didn't go home this morning, so I had to borrow some of Eddie's clothes instead. Neither of us wanted to go back to my house, so now I'm wearing jeans that are a bit too big and a Metallica shirt that's still too baggy even though I tucked it into the jeans.

"Shan? Hey...have you seen Barb?" Nancy asks as she hurries over to me. I frown as I take my mathtextbook out of my locker.

"No, I haven't." I reply before turning towards her fully. "What happened?"

"We were at Steve's party last night and I told her to go home because she wasn't having a good time, but this morning I called her mom and shesaid that Barb never went home and I haven't seen her all day." She tells me. I tilt my head back and groan.

"You two still went after I said not to? Are you guys dumb or something?" I huff. Nancy gives me an annoyed look as she shifts her weight onto her left leg, placing a hand on her hip.

"Not helping!" She exclaims.

"Look, I...I saw something over there last night. Me and Eddie were hanging out on the swings down the street and there was thisthingin the woods across from us. Eddie didn't see it, but I did. Have you gone back yet to see if Barb's car is still there?" I ask. She nods slightly.

"Yeah, after lunch I went back to your house, her car was still there." She tells me, causing me to frown. "But that thing you saw...did it look like a man, but not at the same time?"

"Yes! Did you see it!?" I cry as I place a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah, but not for very long. I ran away immediately cause I didn't know what it was." She replies. I take a deep breath and look around to see if Eddie is coming to get me to walk me to class yet.

"I'm not staying for the rest of school, I'm gonna go home and tell my mom what happened.I'll see you later." Nancy saysbefore turning to walk away.

"Hey, Nance!?" I call after her, causing her to look back at me. "You're not alone, okay? Like I keep telling Jonathan, just talk to me if you need anything."

"I will! I promise that I'll come find you when I think of what to do." Nancy reassures me before continuing to walk away. I sigh and close my locker. Well...at least I know I'm not crazy. But now the only question is; what was that thing?

"Hey, new outfit? I think you got the wrong si-" Wren begins as she makes her way over to me, but she stops as she lets out a loud gagging noise. "ARE YOU WEARING EDDIE'S CLOTHES!?"

"Shut up! Wenny, it's not what you think, I promise!" I exclaim.

"Really!? You should really start talking before I fully convince myself that you did the nasty with my brother!" Wren shouts, clearly disturbed.

"Okay! Okay! Look, I stayed over at your place last night and neither of us wanted to go to my house this morning for me to change clothes and stuff. You didn't come back, so I didn't want to borrow yours without asking. Believe me, I wish I didn't have to keep checking that my pants aren't around my ankles every five seconds." I tell her. Wren lets out a sigh of rrelief.

"Oh, that's a lot better. At least you guys didn't sleep-" She begins, only for Eddie to cut her off as he walks over towards us.

"Shanny, I went to science class for once because I had an important question. You were moving around a lot in your sleep last night and talking to yourself, so I wanted to know what causes it. And, although I can't remember all of the smart words for it, it turns out that I should have hugged you and offered to get you a glass of water instead of just laying there getting hit by all of your limbs every couple of minutes." Hetells me. My jaw drops and my eyes go wide. Oh my God...he didn't just-

"YOU SLEPT IN THE SAME BED!?" Wren screeches.

"Wenny, please for the love of God!" I cry, as I gesture for her to lower her voice. "It wasn't like that! Something scared me really badly last night. I wanted Eddie to stay close to me...it felt like whatever I saw was just waiting for me to be alone."

Wren glances back and forth between us before gagging dramatically and shaking her head rapidly.

"God fucking damnit, get it out of my head!" Wren exclaims before turning to head towards our last class of the day. "I can't even...you both have to not look at me or talk to me for the rest of the day. I need to forget this ever happened."

"What the hell is up with her?" Eddie asks as we watch his sister disappear into another hallway.

"Uh...she noticed that I'm wearing your clothes and that just did not go over very well. Then you came over here talking about what I do in my sleep and that puther right back into crazy land." I tell him. He scoffs as he leads me towards where Wren went.

"What was I supposed to do then? Let you come to school wearing nothing?" He asks, but he seems to think about it for a minute before grinning. I hit him with my textbook and shake my head at him in disbelief.

"Eddie!" I scold him before hitting him a few more times.

"Kidding! I'm kidding!" He squeaks out as he tries to take my textbook from me so I can't hit him with it anymore.

"No wonder your sister freaked out! Unbelievable." I huff before moving to enter my math class. But I stop to look at him as he grabs my wrist.

"Hey...um, Robin mentioned going to see Return of the Jedi tonight. You'll go with all of us to see it, right?" He asks. I roll my eyes and nod.

"Obviously." I laugh, causing him to smile brightly at me. "Like I would miss that. I've been dying to know what happens with Luke and Darth Vader now that we know he is his father."

"Okay great! I'll come get you, W, and MJ when your class ends and we'll meet up with Robin at the front of school." He tells me before turning to walk away. Well, I at least feel better today than I did yesterday. So going to the movies doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
