Authors note: hope everyone is enjoying. Here's a chapter to fill in what's going on between the boys before we went into some good smutty chapters and maybe a little Drama.

Draco stretched his limbs lazily, the heat running through his body finally subsided leaving him achy. He instantly noted that the space beside him was empty. Frowning, he sat up and let the blankets pool at his waist looking around. "Harry?" Draco called out worriedly. Had Harry finally had enough? Had the last three days proven to be too much for him?

Draco pushed himself out of bed wincing. The last twenty four hours of his heat had been the most intense. Harry had used every toy Draco brought with him, and had him a wet mess in the middle of the bed. If Harry could make him feel so good with just his hands, mouth and toys, he only could imagine how the sex would be. What Harrys knot would feel like.

Draco had thought things were going well. Harry had taken excellent care of him. He kept to his only rule, made sure he stayed hydrated and fed and even made sure he bathed a few times in the day, since cleaning spells only went so far.

Draco bent over pulling up a pair of black joggers, that definitely weren't his but he was too lazy to find his own. They were a bit too big and hung dangerously low on his hip bones. Barefoot and shirtless, he padded out into the kitchen, hearing some noise. He could still smell Harrys scent in the rooms, he couldn't be far then.

Draco leaned against the door way, arms crossing against his chest, a smile finding his lips. Harry hadn't left him. Harry appeared to have charmed a small box on the counter to play music, and he was swaying and singing into a spatula. It appeared that Harry was making breakfast.

The domestic feel of it all was surreal. Draco could imagine this life. Waking up in their home, kids coming running down for breakfast, Harry cooking and Draco setting the table. This was a glimpse of the future they could hold together, if Draco chose to be brave enough to accept it.

"My, my, where is Rita Skeeter for a new story when you need her? I can see the headlines now, Boy who lived only to cook naked for his boyfriend." Draco watched as Harry just glanced over his shoulder, Harry must have sensed or smelled him approaching.

"Am I your boyfriend then?" The questions was simple and playful, but Draco's answer would tell Harry what he needed to know moving forward.

Draco paused, he had said boyfriend. Damn his slip up. He couldn't take it back now. It was all that domestic bliss talking. "I mean... do you not want to be my boyfriend? I had assumed I guess..." Draco suddenly felt self conscious.

"Stop that. Your scent goes crazy when you start getting upset. Of course I want to be your boyfriend you prat. I just wasn't sure if you felt that way about me yet. I mean, I probably know your body better than you do, so it seems only logical that being your boyfriend would be the next step. Which, seeing you in my joggers is honestly sinful. I'm over here trying to make you a nice breakfast to help bring back all your energy and you are over there looking like the last piece of treacle tart and I want to be the one to eat it all up."

Draco felt a blush crawl across his chest and up his neck onto his cheeks. If anyone had told him that Harry bloody Potter talked like that, he wouldn't have believed them. Long gone was the boy who stuttered and was unsure of what he wanted to say. Now, before him, stood a very confident man, who made sure no one questioned what he was saying.

"I made you some pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and potatoes. Figured the protein and the carbs would give you a bit of a boost. You had quite the work out yesterday. " Harry plated the food and placed it on the small table with a glass of orange juice.

"Well, I guess you are full of surprises. I didn't know you could cook. You're pants at potions, and cooking isn't much different in context." Draco sat down, his mouth watering. He was starving, and the food smelled amazing. He dug into the fluffy eggs, practically moaning.

Harry sat with his own plate, after turning the music down. "The muggle relatives I lived with my whole life, they made me cook as soon as I could reach the stove. I learned quick how to cook well so I wouldn't be punished. And besides, I use to be pants at potions. This year isn't so bad, and last year was great. Snape didn't help my cause. He always made me so bloody nervous I almost always fudged it up. "

"You cooked for the muggles you live with? Like a house elf? I would have thought they would have given you anything you wanted, treated you like a king. " Draco crunched into a piece of bacon, leg tapping happily.

"Yeah well, most of the wizarding world is unaware of how I truly grew up. I don't really like to relive it. Maybe I'll tell you more about it... but I don't want to ruin the last few days we had. So let's talk about what happens when we leave this room?" Harry looked up at Draco. "I know you mentioned boyfriends, and I hope you're being serious. We don't have to mate right away. We can take our time, but I would like to scent you, give you a temporary bite. I'll have to redo it every few days but it will mingle your scent with mine. Let everyone know your off the market for dating or mating. "

Draco instinctively reached up, touching his neck where his gland was. Harry had lavished that spot over the last few days, drinking in Draco's scent. He kept describing it as peaches. Fresh picked ripe peaches and Harry just couldn't get enough. He was careful to not leave any lasting mark, but he certainly focused on it. "Yeah, okay. I mean that seems alright. That way if you change your mind or find someone better." Draco let his hand drop focusing on eating again.

"is that what you think this is? Until I find something better? Or get tired of you? Draco, I won't ever get tired of you. I won't say we won't argue and disagree over things. That would be unrealistic and would make our relationship boring quick, but honestly you think I can do better than you?"

"Well I mean, I don't have much to offer you? I'm only a Malfoy by name. I lost rights to all my properties and vaults. I don't have many job prospects thanks to my Father and his loyalties during the war."

"Draco, have I ever come across as the type to want someone for their name? You can offer me something that I never dreamed I would have a chance to have the second I realized I preferred men. You can offer me a family. I always thought I would have to adopt, and that was fine. It stung a little bit, I mean sure there are surrogates and things but it's not the same. But with you, we can be a family. You me and as many kids as you and I deem enough to fill our home. Not to mention, I quite enjoy your company. You are witty and full of sass. You aren't afraid to put me in my place, knowing I could turn you into a mindless slave. You never let that stop what comes out of your mouth. Don't even get me started on how bloody attractive you are. Even when I could barely stand you, I knew you were attractive in a way I could never be."

"Well, I mean, I guess I can't argue with flattery can I?" Draco looked at the man across from him who was now smiling. "I guess the wizarding world is about to get the news story of a life time. Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy."

Harry chuckled, "I always aim to deliver top end news stories and gossip articles." With that the boys finished their breakfast, preparing to return back to the real world.

"You look awfully content. I'm guessing Malfoys heat went well then?" Ron asked as Harry entered back into the common room, dropping himself next Hermione on the couch. "Smells like you were busy." Ron teased playfully.

"Yeah it went well. Really well actually. He let me give him a temporary mark. If things go well the next few months, we will make the bond more permanent during his next heat. Thanks for the books Hermione. They honestly have been very helpful in all this. "

Hermione placed her book mark in the book she was currently reading, shut it gently and laid it on the table. "I'm glad they proved useful. I figure you would need them at some point. I just... Harry, you are moving awfully fast with Malfoy. You are sure this is what you want? Bonding is a big deal, and I'm sure you read that breaking a bond with an omega can be deadly for them. I may not like the git, but if you change your mind, he doesn't deserve to waste away and die. "

Harry looked over at his friend, observing that hers and Ron's legs were touching, and her own bond mark easily on display. He was happy his friends found each other in this way, he always knew they'd end up together. "I understand your concerns Hermione, and I was honest with Draco. Will I ever love him? Maybe. I don't know. I'm not against the idea. We we ever have what you and Ron have? Probably not. You two were destined to be together. Perfectly opposite yet the same in all the right ways. I explained to Draco that Im physically attracted to him, and that he can offer me something no one else can. A baby that Will biologically belong to me. I want that more than anything in this world Hermione. After all the loss I've suffered, and things I have given up for the war, I feel like I deserve to be a little selfish. "

Before Hermione could but in he held a hand up, " I was up front with Draco. I can easily make this last for the rest of my life. Will we always get along? Merlin's beard no. He's difficult, stuck up and can be a whiny prat, but I can handle that side of him. He was honest with me too. He needs someone to protect him, he's lost everything. He has no money, no means to survive outside of school. It's an easy trade off for him. A life of comfort and all he has to do is provide me with the family I desire. We both agreed to be transparent in this. So we are going to spend the next few months dating. I would greatly appreciate if you two could be welcoming. He's agreeing to be on his best behavior. No name calling or snide remarks."

Hermione gave Harry a disappointing look, she felt like Harry deserved a romantic novel life. Falling in love, dancing under the stars, the whole thing. Harry didn't want love right now. He wanted practical. This made the most sense for his future.

"Well, I already told you, I don't understand a lick of what you see in the pointy faced git, but I will support you. As long as he keeps his mudblood comments to himself we will get along just fine. " Ron shrugged.

Hermione let out a sigh, "Fine. But only because you deserve to do what you want to do. But, promise me you won't give up on a fairy tale ending? You deserve to be loved, and courted. Married and Happy. Promise me that you will just think about what I'm saying before you make it permanently for you both?"

"I promise to think about it. But I'm not promising I'm going to change my mind Hermione. Who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with Draco Malfoy."

Ron let out a loud laugh, "if you and Malfoy fall in love and get hitched, I will eat my own pants."
