authors note : Thank you my readers. You're support of this story and these characters means so much. Stay tuned.
As Nathan tries to make up for lost time with his children. Haley works on getting better.
Did you ever really love me?
Did you ever really want me?
I have been afraid
I could only call your name
Thank the Heavens that you stayed.
"You're so tense. I was just dropping off Dawn for a playdate."
"The kids are friends. I figured. Nadia and Austin could use the extra support." Rachel explained.
"Whatever. I need to talk to my parents. Alone." Nathan replied.
"I'll pick her up in a few days." Rachel said. Looking to Dan and Deb before she left the living room andmade her way out of the home.
Nathan glared at his parents. He sighed deeply. Frustrated.
"You knew she was going to drop by with Dawn and decided not to reach out and tell me. Why is that.?" Nathan asked.
"Those kids are siblings Nathan. All this hiding and lying is pointless. I know you would of told Haleya long time ago."
"But she holds you up to standards no one can reach." Deb explained.
"Now since you are here. I figure why not move forward with my idea. I talked with my lawyer. Haley decided not to take her mental health medication for months. Keeping that a secret."
"Putting Nadia and Austin's life and wellbeing in danger."
"They found her in that room out of her mind."
"Haley has gone out of her way to paint this narrative."
"You not being the father you should be. It's bullshit."
"You love those all you're children. If she was any kind of wife."
"She would support you trying to blend the family." Dan proclaimed.
"This is you're chance son. Use this incident to you're advantage."
"Get full custody. Let her have to beg and plead. And have supervised visits. She's clearly unwell." Dan explained.
"We have more then enough room here for you and all the grandkids to stay until you find a house big enough." Deb added in.
...
Days Later
Haley was relieved to at last be feeling like herself again.
Going off her medication was the biggest mistake she ever made.
She has so much regret about that.
She was on her meds. Having therapy.
Visits from Taylor and her friends.
Which helped alot. But she missed Nadia and Austin so much it hurt.
Finding out her children found her in such a vulnerable defeated state was humiliating.
She needed to see them and talk to them.
Reassure them that she was better and getting stronger.
More importantly that she was sorry.
...
Haley knew with her away. Nathan was a full time dad now with their kids. Which meant he wasn't handling it alone.
