Deepsea Metro

It's quiet… Too quiet.

Inside a tunnel of a station, a car was parked with an amber haired bob cut inkling girl who appears in a black sports bra and shorts as well as having a bandage covering her right arm, Agent 4, Mirai.

Grunting, Agent 4 is opening her eyes as she grunts and rubs her neck as she can feel the pain as she remembers falling from a bridge headfirst.

Luckily she isn't brain damaged.

"Where am I? Wait, where am I?" Agent 4's eyes are fully opened as she looks around and then climbs off of an empty car.

What stops her is a high visibility coat and her headphones that are modified by Sheldon, leading her to pick them up and equip herself.

"Alright. I guess no one's here, so…"

Snatching her Hero Dualies, Agent 4 is dashing away from a parking lot, leading her to escape from the clutches of the Deep Cut who attacked her.

While escaping, she halts as if she's hearing many voices that are screaming in the background.

"Huh? What's going on!?"

The screams are no ordinary screams, but are cold-blooded screams of pain, fear and agony.

Agent 4 then walks a little faster as if she's being followed which causes her to move faster and faster out of fear.

Then she runs.

Unaware as she runs as fast as she could, she shrieks as she trips onto something that burns her legs.

"Ugh… What's going on!? Are they sanitised too!?"

To her surprise, she witnesses a horde of octoling girls who're sanitised as they're all moaning.

"Help us…"

"Kill us…"

"Please… Save us from… Ourselves…"

"What is this!?" Agent 4 gasps as she can hear their distorted voices as they're all melting right in front of her.

Then they're all gone.

Agent 4 is confused as her chest is beating like adrenaline, causing her to panic.

Then…

Something huge is rising and it's nothing ordinary as its massive metallic body arises right in front of Agent 4.

Then all the voices yell as Agent 4 screams and instantly picks herself up and runs away as hasty as she can.

"No way, no way, no way! What is this!? Why is that oven toaster octarian sanitised!? And why am I scared!?"

Panting, Agent 4 is still on the run as she witnesses a group of magenta tentacle haired octolings that appears to be 3 boys and a girl.

"Oh! Thank goodness! Hey!" Agent 4 calls as she clings onto a punk haircut octoling boy with an old model of an Octobrush which is 'Octobrush ZER0.'

"What the!?"

"Please! You gotta help me! There's a sanitised toaster here!"

"What the shell are ya doin' here!? This is a place of no return!" The octoling boy snaps as he pushes Agent 4 off roughly.

"But-"

"But nothin'! Ya should be knowin' the risks, ya little brat!" The octoling boy yells and swings his Octobrush 0 at half of Agent 4's face, causing her face to sizzle and then squints out magenta ink from her amber ink body as she screams out of agonising pain.

"IT BURNS! IT BURNS!"

"Hmph! Should've thought of that before tryin' to distract us!" The octoling boy growls as he steps on Agent 4.

"Kei! The toaster! It's releasing itself!" The afro octoling boy with a Rapid Blaster Pro shouted.

"Good! Don't let it close! Miki, Troy! Climb onto it and tear its tentacle apart!" Kei, the octoling team leader with the Octobrush 0 shouted.

"Right!" Both Miki, the octoling girl with a ponytail with a Jet Squelcher and Troy, the octoling boy who has a surfcurl haircut with the Octobrush, both replied.

"Consider yourself lucky, inkling." Kei growls and then dashes towards a large oven toaster that's spreading sanitised ink all over the battlefield.

This leaves Agent 4 helpless as she's crawling her way out and stares one and a half opened eyes (due to the burn scar on half of her face) at the large oven toaster.

Grunting, Agent 4 is attempting to escape the battlefield until she hears a splat from behind.

"FEI!" Miki yells as if Fei, the afro octoling boy is done for.

To her horror, Agent 4 can see that this battle is hopeless, causing her to try and pick herself up to run away.

Before she escapes, a wind has caught her attention as an inkling in a kimono with a Hero Charger 0 splats the sanitised octarians as well as avoiding the toasts and then hastily climbs up until the sanitised oven toaster shakes as it throws a magenta squid at Agent 4 as both inklings roll and slide.

"H- Hotaru!?"

Hotaru, or Marie's eyes are different as they're not golden irises anymore, but emerald green.

"Hotaru?"

"What the shell are you doing here!?" Marie snaps as she clenches her fist onto Agent 4's neck with raw strength.

"Gh! H- Hotaru… What's going on!? You're scaring me…" Struggling to breathe, Agent 4 doesn't know what's going on either.

"You're putting yourself in danger just because of some petty reason!? You're better off giving up, you little squit!" Marie yells and then swings her fist on Agent 4's scarred face, leading Agent 4 to cry.

As Agent 4 cries, Marie gasps as her eyes are fading back from green to gold again.

Then she gasps as she witnesses what she's holding.

"Oh cod… What have I done?" Marie gasps as she realises what she did earlier. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"Y- Your eyes… They're scary…" Agent 4 sniffles.

"What… My eyes… Have I become a monster?" Marie gasps.

Will she ever face Callie like this again?

As Marie hugs Agent 4 after what happened earlier, a large bang has caught their attention as Agent 4 shrieks.

"Octo Oven XXL… Formerly the Octo Oven before it was sanitised." Marie gasps as both she and Agent 4 are doomed to face something that took the octolings' lives.

"Hotaru?" Agent 4 gasps as Marie marches forward while preparing her Hero Charger 0.

"Run. I'll handle this one."

"No! Hotaru! It's too dangerous!" Agent 4 begged.

"Dangerous for you, but not for me! Now go!"

"NO!" Agent 4 snapped.

Marie's smile is full of guilt as it shows how she's been turned into a shell of her former self after losing Callie and the agents, missing Cap'n Cuttlefish and Rei, even being turned into the monster she will become.

Agent 4's tears are bursting as most of them dropped on an inkstained ground.

"Look at your face… They know you're here and they're right. This is a place of no return." Said Marie, putting one hand on the sanitised ground and glares straight towards the Octo Oven XXL.

Finally, she boosts forward as Agent 4 screams out Marie's real name.

"HOTARUUUUUUU!"

"That's right, Agent 4. Callie… I'm sorry… I'm such a coward that only relies on kids to do my job. Gramps, am I a bad mother? Callie… I never get to say goodbye to you…" Marie drops a tear and then glares her eyes open by zooming forward as her speed is impossible to track.

As fast as Marie's running speed, the Octo Oven then releases one bread towards her and then curves 2 breads towards her, leading her to super jump as they missed, giving Marie the opportunity to charge her Hero Charger 0 and dive down towards the tentacle.

"You know you're suffering, then let me toast you!" Marie yells.

Then a bread zooms out in a split second, leading Marie to gasp and instantly grab her green parasol and then…

SPLAT!

Screaming, Marie's kimono and her parasol are being torn apart as she's spilling green ink from her magenta inked body.

"Hotaru!" Agent 4 yelled.

"RUN, DAMN IT!" Marie roared as she landed on a puddle of sanitised ink, causing her skin to burn.

As she's still against a stronger version of an octoboss that is supposed to be the easiest, Marie then drops to her knees as she's ready to give up but refuses to.

"Come on… I'm not afraid of octo slobs like you…" Marie grunts as she's coughing blue ink blood and slips to one knee.

As steam is coming out of the Octo Oven XXL, it's firing its ink covered octarian bread towards Marie who was holding out her parasol.

Then, tearing all of Marie's clothes and parasol into dust…

CRASH! A wall was smashed as it hit not only Marie, but Agent 4 as well, leading both inklings to crash to the ground together.

Luckily, Agent 4's clothes are just scratched in a minor way, but Hotaru is looking a mess as she's leaking magenta to green and blue ink as she's taking a heavy beating from a literal oven.

Slowly getting up, Agent 4 has witnessed not just Marie fighting something dangerous, but Agent 3.4 and others as well, even though she could imagine how her brother went through this.

Lowering her head and dropping her tears, Agent 4 gives up as she's picking up and hugging Marie's dying body.

"Why… Why can't you just listen…" Marie croaks.

"Because… Even if you didn't pay me, even if you make me work all night, I'm still your Agent 4! I… I don't want to be weak! I'm scared, but… I don't want to be weak anymore!" Agent 4 sobs, refusing to let Marie go and refusing to be seen as weak.

"Mirai…"

As Agent 4 clenches one of her dualies, her amber ink fades into magenta ink as it bubbles and glows, causing her arm to bubble as well.

She can hear what her octoling saviour said to her: 'Ya want to leave and fight? A brave little one like ya will take responsibility for using someone else's ink. Be sure to use it wisely and follow your brother's footsteps.'

Then…

Her eyes open as her eyes are glaring glowing pink, leading her arm to remove the bandages as it reveals a lot of ink waves as they're twisting around her body, leading Agent 4 to take off her coat and raise her right arm.

"Hotaru, please forgive me." Agent 4's behaviour has turned drastically different as if she's being serious and presses her right arm onto Marie's chest to her gun, causing Marie to hold her breath while grunting and yelling.

Then raising her right arm, Agent 4's magenta ink is released from Marie as the ink morphs into a Hero Shot 0 that is all magenta with some design that is blue like the original one.

Agent 4 is now holding a copied form of a Hero Charger 0 while still equipped with Hero Dualies on her back.

As the Octo Oven XXL yells out of pure rage as the remaining magenta ink is spinning all over Agent 4, Agent 4 yells while running as fast as she could and morphs herself into a squid by super jumping through the machine by piercing through it and then charges her Hero Charger 0 magenta at a revealed tentacle as all the spinning ink are going inside the centre of a charger and then…

BANG! SPLASH!

As powerful as a blast was, it causes a sanitised tentacle to explode magenta ink, causing the Octo Oven XXL to turn off as it drops itself and then stops moving.

Afterwards, Agent 4 lands on it and then drops the Hero Charger 0 magenta into a puddle of magenta ink, leading Agent 4 to drop on her hands and knees and cough out magenta and blue ink.

"Ugh… Use it wisely she said, huh…" Agent 4 sighs and then stares at an unmoved Octo Oven XXL as it still freaked her out.

As much as she wants to stare at it for long, Agent 4 rushes towards a dying Marie who was unconscious.

"Hotaru!? Hotaru! Hold on! I'll find us a way out!" Agent 4 puts her coat back on as she forgot the bandage for her right arm and then carries Marie by giving her a piggyback ride.

As the duo are leaving the battlefield together, who knows when the Octo Oven XXL wakes up as Agent 4 and Marie are escaping a place called 'Toastmaster Station.'

As the duo successfully escape as they're in the tunnel, Agent 4 collapses as she's pushing her own limits as she and Marie are left on the ground.

Marie could never forget what Deep Cut did to her to avoid anyone associated with the survivor.

Then footsteps arrive in front of both inklings as a silhouette then drags both Agent 4 and Marie away from the battlefield even further.

Luckily, they're saved.
