The following morning, Senna woke with a headache. She and Amelia had drunk quite a bit the night before, which helped with talking about what happened and how it made Senna feel.

Getting up to wash up, Senna sighed. 'What am I going to do? Sting and I are just friends, I don't want to ruin that...'

During their talks, Amelia had asked why Senna had thought about Sting as a potential partner. She had her take the alcohol out of the equation and had Senna really think it over.

"Sting is sweet and kind, he's easy to talk to and he's a good listener, he makes me smile and laugh."

"OK, what else?"

"I'm not sure what else you want me to say, Amelia."

"Senna, come on, Sting Eucliffe is a gorgeous guy and he's super popular. From what I hear, he's a pretty calm person and rarely loses his temper- which is a good indication that he's a rational person."

"He looks out for his friends and guildmates, too."

"It really seems like he's a good match for you as a partner, and not just in bed. Senna, sweetie, I haven't seen or heard you talk about any other guy the way you talk about Sting. He clearly means a lot to you, and it seems like you might want more than friendship with him- even if it's on a subconscious level."

"Even if that were true, I doubt that he feels the same..."

"And what makes you say that?"

"What wizard would want someone like me?"

"Senna... your father is a dick. Not every wizard is going to look at a non-magik user the same way he does. Sting doesn't seem like the kind of person who would let any of that bother him."

"I thought the same about Corrin, but look what happened with that..."

"Corrin was a jackass and got what he deserved. You shouldn't let him keep you from being happy."

'She's right, but still...' Senna braided her hair and pinned it up, disregarding how tired she looked still. Her brow furrowed as she recalled something Corrin had said to her in the alleyway.

"Come on, Senna, I think you owe me by now."

"O-Owe you?"

"You owe me for a night out, I mean not many guys would want to take a girl with no magik out on a date. You should be grateful I'm willing to look past that flaw of yours."

'Fuck you, Corrin... I hope I never see you again...'

Senna left the bathroom and went to go brew some coffee, but noticed that she was out. Sighing, she headed downstairs to the restaurant and grabbed more from the store room. As she stepped back outside, she heard someone call out to her.

"Morning, Julian, what brings you here so early?"

"I wanted to check on you and see how you were doing," Julian started, rubbing his neck a moment. "I heard your date didn't go well... sorry to hear that."

"Great, does everyone know?"

"No, just me and Orga."

"Let's keep it that way, please?"

"O-Of course."

"Anyway, I'm fine, just hungover."

"Understandably so."

"I appreciate you coming to check on me, though, I really do." Senna offered him a smile. "I'm going to head back home, so I'll see you around?"

Julian nodded. "Sure, see you around."

Senna took her leave, heading back upstairs to her apartment. As she closed the door, Amelia stepped out of the bedroom and yawned.

Yawn "Morning."

"Morning, Amelia. Want some coffee?"

"Sure." Amelia sat at the table while Senna started the coffee pot. "So what's the plan for today?"

Senna shrugged. "I think I'll just stay in and relax a bit. I'm not really up for anything."

"What about the restaurant?"

"Mona and the others can run it without me. I'll let Mona know she's in charge for the day, then just stay home."

"I don't blame you."

"What about you?"

Amelia shrugged. "I need to run so,e errands in town, so I'll leave you in peace- at least until tonight. "

"Sounds like we have a plan, then." Senna chuckled. "Now how about some breakfast?"

Later in the day, Rogue stopped by The Rocky Grove and asked for Senna. Mona explained that she was taking the day off, but that she could handle things for her instead and asked what he needed. Rogue explained that Sabertooth would be hosting a party at their guild hall the day after the festival's main event and that they would like The Rocky Grove to cater the event. Mona was excited to hear the big news, knowing that it would make Senna very happy, and took down the details. She did make sure to inform Rogue, however, that there was no guarantee that Senna would agree but that she would pass along the message and let the guild know as soon as a decision was reached. Rogue knew that Senna had a lot going on already, so he understood Mona's request and hoped that Senna would agree.

As soon as she could slip away, Mona went to Senna's apartment to tell her the news. She apologized for interrupting her alone time, but Senna didn't mind at all. She looked over the details and agreed to the request. Mona gladly offered to give the guild their answer and make up a list of the things they would need for the job. Senna watched as Mona skipped off, chuckling. It had been a long time since Mona was so excited about something.

'This will be good for business, but it'll also help keep my mind off of everything else.' Senna thought. 'Better start planning the menu, then.'
