Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing. So don't try to sue me, 'cause all I'll be able to give you is a couple of moth balls and four bookcases worth of books. *grins cheesily* Have a nice day.
A little boy with Prussian blue eyes giggled as he went from booth to booth at a town carnival. He wore a dark green T-shirt and jeans trying to look as grown up as he could.
Stopping at a booth his eyes widened in awe. It was a game booth and the person playing had to toss a ball into a milk jug--not an easy thing to do. But the prize was worth it: a soft, cuddly teddy bear with a large dark blue bow tied around it's neck.
The boy turned around to look beseechingly at his father, who was walking at a slower pace with the boy's mother. "Daddy.....can you get me a teddy bear?" he asked softly, looking at his father hopefully.
The father grinned. "Sure, I'll get you a bear," he answered as he gave the booth attendant two dollars. In return, the attendant gave the father three balls.
The man concentrated, then tossed a ball. It bounced off the rim of the jug and rolled under the table. The man chuckled softly and tossed the second ball, which missed the jug by a foot. The boy looked up worriedly at his father. Sensing his son's gaze the man looked down and winked.
Then he tossed the third (and last) ball. The boy watched as it sailed through the air.........and went into the jug without touching the rim's sides.
The boy gave a happy shout as his father gave him a broad grin. The attendant gave the boy's mother one of the teddy bears, smiling indulgently down at the child. The mother knelt down and gave the boy the bear. As she was handing him his new toy, she said: "Here you go, Odin. Your very first teddy bear. Take very good care of it."

Heero sat up in bed, his eyes wide and searching. He shuddered and wiped the cold sweat from his face.
A dream, he thought, shuddering once more. Just a dream......only a dream.
He wrapped his arms around himself, looking in a corner of the room which he shared with the other Gundam pilots. His searching gaze found what he sought.
A worn and patched teddy bear, with a ragged blue ribbon tied around it's neck.
